    W pracy przedstawiono wyniki własnych badań nad desonoryzacją w dyslalii dotyczące audiogennych uwarunkowań dobrostanu dzieci z dyslalią i z zaburzeniami w realizacji dźwięczności fonemów obstruentalnych. Materiał badawczy pochodzi od 15 osób w wieku od 7 do 18 lat. U wszystkich wykonano przesiewowe testy psychoakustyczne w kierunku APD i badania psychologiczne. W wybranych testach psychoakustycznych wyższych funkcji słuchowych dzieci z dyslalią i desonoryzacją osiągają wyniki poniżej wiekowych norm, co wskazuje na potrzebę stosowania odpowiednich treningów słuchowych. Obniżenie wyników w teście GDT stwierdzono u 33% badanych dzieci, w teście DTP u 47%, w teście FTP u 73% i w teście DDT u 100%. W badaniach psychologicznych u dzieci z desonoryzacją stwierdza się deficyty w zakresie modalności pozasłuchowych, dotyczące głównie procesów pamięci i uwagi, co wskazuje na potrzebę stosowania odpowiednich treningów poznawczych. W przypadku zaburzeń desonoryzacyjnych koniecznym warunkiem logopedycznego postępowania diagnostyczno-terapeutycznego jest badanie przesiewowe w kierunku swoistego/nieswoistego APD oraz badania psychologiczne.
    The paper presents the results of my own research on desonorization in dyslalia concerning the audiogenic determinants of the well-being of children with dyslalia and disorders in the realization of the voicing of obstruent phonemes. The research material comes from 15 people aged 7 to 18 years. All patients underwent psychoacoustic screening tests for APD and psychological tests. In selected psychoacoustic tests of higher auditory functions, children with dyslalia and desonorization achieve results below the age norms, which indicates the need for appropriate auditory training. Decreased results in the GDT test were found in 33% of the examined children, in the DTP test in 47%, in the FTP test in 73% and in the DDT test in 100%. Psychological studies of children with desonorization show deficits in the non-auditory modalities, mainly related to memory and attention processes, which indicates the need for appropriate cognitive training. In the case of desonorization disorders, a necessary condition for speech therapy diagnostic and therapeutic treatment is a screening test for specific/non-specific APD and psychological tests.

    While striving to increase economic effectiveness of automatic data processing systems working for economic units there should be avoided excessive costs of programming these systems through application, to a possibly wide extent, of already existing solutions, and - first of all - of standard programme packages. Accordingly there arises a need for a properly constructed information system furnishing designers and programmers of automatic data processing systems with data about these programmes, which owing to their universal character may be utilized by more than one user. The article discusses requirements which such a system should meet.

    While introducing automatic data processing systems in economic units in accordance with the principle of rational economy the attempts should be made at achieving the set goals through possibly lowest input of resources and material means. Costs connected with designing and programming the system represent an essential component of this input. They may be considerably decreased if designers employ standard symbols, documentation, and names throughout the whole period of the system's development and exploitation, while programmers use a single selected language in programming, the available software packages, programme modules or complete programmes. Such unification of automatic data processing systems will allow to construct integrated systems of an industrial branches management, the elements of which would be automatic data processing systems of particular companies. It would, moreover, allow to use effectively gualified computer scientists employed in branch designing centres.

    W artykule przedstawiono wyniki oceny funkcji słuchowych w grupie pięćdziesięciorga dziewięciorga w wieku 7–10 lat. Badania przeprowadzono na platformie diagnostyczno-terapeutycznej APD Medical, która umożliwia wykonanie: testu reakcji słuchowej i wzrokowej, adaptacyjnego, jednosylabowego testu rozumienia mowy w szumie, testu sekwencji częstotliwości, adaptacyjnego testu rozdzielczości czasowej układu słuchowego, adaptacyjnego testu rozdzielczości częstotliwościowej oraz rozdzielnousznego testu liczbowego. Uczestnicy zostali zakwalifikowani do diagnozy na podstawie badań audiometrycznych i ankietowych. Uzyskane wyniki zestawiono z wartościami normatywnymi testów wyższych funkcji słuchowych platformy diagnostyczno-terapeutycznej APD Medical.
    The paper presents the results of the assessment of auditory functions in a group of fifty nine children aged seven to ten. The tests were conducted on the diagnostic-therapeutic APD Medical platform, which enables carrying out the following tests: visual and auditory reaction test, adaptive one-syllable test for speech comprehension in noise, frequency pattern test, temporal resolution and auditory perception test (gap in noise test), adaptive frequency resolution test, and digital dichotic test. The participants were qualified for diagnosis on the basis of audiometric test and surveys. The obtained results were compared with the values of normative higher auditory functions tests of the diagnostic-therapeutic APD Medical platform.

    In this paper, the performance of an underwater optical wireless communications system is theoretically analyzed, using 4-PPM modulation technique and an avalanche photodiodes APD receiver over underwater environment channels. Based on the line of sight (LOS) geometrical model for optical beam propagation horizontally on an underwater medium and combined with signal to noise ratio model for Si, Ge and InGaAs APD and BER; then the impacts of the distance of transmission, power of the transmitter under Jerlov water types (I, IA, IB) are analyzed. The characteristics of bit error rate BER and channel capacity for 4-PPM optical modulation technique are studied under different APD detector and Jerlov water types. Simulation results indicate that the performance of PPM and Jerlov type (I) are more suited for an underwater optical wireless communication. On the other hand, we discuss the suitability of avalanche photodiodes under this modulation technique, where the photodiode Si APD has more advantage compared with the other detectors when used as a receiver in an underwater optical communication.

    Opis:
    A high-resolution hold-off time control circuit for Geiger-mode avalanche photodiodes (GM-APDs) that enables linear changes to the hold-off time from several nanoseconds to microseconds is presented. The resolution of the hold-off time can be varied from nanoseconds to tens of nanoseconds with a range up to microseconds to cater for a variety of GM-APDs. This circuit allows setting of the optimal 'afterpulse-free' hold-off time for any GM-APD through digital inputs or additional signal processing circuitry. With this circuit, the APD is automatically reset following the end of the hold-off period that further simplifies the end-user's control. A layout of this circuit is designed using a conventional 0.15 μm complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) process, resulting a area of 95 μm x 55 μm which makes it suitable for use with APD arrays.
