Wyniki badań lizymetrycznych ewapotranspiracji rzeczywistej ET i plonów łąki 3-kośnej (nawożonej w ilości 270, 540, 660 kg NPK·ha-¹ w czystym składniku), łąki 6-kośnej (nawożonej 660 kg NPK·ha-¹) i systematycznie ciętej runi (270 kg NPK·ha-¹), prowadzonych w latach 1974-1990 na Polesiu Lubelskim, dowodzą, że na kształtowanie się rzeczywistych wartości ET istotny wpływ ma plon aktualny q, czyli ilość powietrznie suchej masy roślinnej jaka urosła od początku przyrostu do danej chwili. Określone w pracy zależności ET = f(q) w okresach IV-V, VI-VII, VIII-IX mogą być wykorzystane do oceny rzeczywistych wartości ET użytków zielonych na podstawie mierzonego, obliczonego lub szacowanego plonu aktualnego q.
Results of lysimetric studies on actual evapotranspiration ET and final yields Q of a meadow (fertilised with 270, 540 and 660 kg NPK·ha-¹ in pure component), pasture (fertilised with 660 kg NPK·ha-¹) and systematically cut sward (270 kg NPK·ha-¹) carried out in the period 1974-1990 in Polesie Lubelskie showed that the actual ET was significantly influenced by current yield q, i.e. the amount of air dry plant mass that grew from the onset of growth to a given date. Relationship ET = f(q) determined in the present study for the periods April-May, June-July, Aug-Sept can be used to evaluate the actual ET values for grasslands on the basis of current levels of yield q measured, calculated or estimated.

Opis:
The dynamic epistemic logic for actual knowledge models the phenomenon of actual knowledge change when new information is received. In contrast to the systems of dynamic epistemic logic which have been discussed in the past literature, our system is not burdened with the problem of logical omniscience, that is, an idealized assumption that the agent explicitly knows all classical tautologies and all logical consequences of his or her knowledge. We provide a sound and complete axiomatization for this logic.

People’s ever-increasing needs encourage designers of various vehicles to search for solutions that will provide the most comfortable internal environment conditions. Currently, partly due to the COVID-19 threat, many people use their individual cars to travel to work, college, shops, trips, and holidays. Proper internal air parameters that need to be maintained in vehicles are critical in the sum-mer. The article discusses the thermal comfort of four passengers of a modern car produced in 2017to verify if contemporary production technology can successfully meet the thermal needs of people under actual conditions in the Polish climate. For this purpose, five temperature values were tested:20oC, 22oC, 24oC, 26oC, and 28oC for the car located in the shade and sun. In addition, the Testo 400meter was used to control and measure the internal parameters, and questionnaires were used to find out about the thermal impressions of the respondents. The research was carried out in July when the air temperature in Poland was high

The construct of anxiety has been captivating the interest of SLA researchers for a long time. Numerous observations show that most individuals experience anxiety when learning a foreign language (FL) and using it, both in classroom and real-life contexts, though to a different extent. An analysis of studies conducted on language anxiety (LA) throughout several decades (Horwitz, 2010) shows that researchers have focused, first and foremost, on examining the nature, symptoms and consequences of being anxious, proving its detrimental effect on FL and L2 learning and performance. However, the causes of LA seem to have been less thoroughly explored. The paper reports on a study investigating whether the actual level of FL learners’ pronunciation and the pronunciation level perceived by students can be considered significant sources of anxiety. It is hypothesized that both pronunciation levels are related to LA, with the latter being a more important determinant of LA than the former. To measure the subjects’ degree of anxiety, the Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (Horwitz, Horwitz, & Cope, 1986) was applied. The actual level of pronunciation was diagnosed with the use of a Pronunciation Test, consisting of a Perception Test and two Production Tests (word and passage reading). The perceived pronunciation level of the participants was measured with a questionnaire designed for the purpose of this research. The Pearson moment-correlation proved LA to be significantly correlated with both levels of pronunciation, with the relationship being more meaningful in the case of the perceived FL pronunciation level.

Research background: Exponential growth of passive mutual funds after 2007?2008 global financial crisis put pressure on active fund managers to lower the management fees. The real costs of active fund management are, however, very often higher than the values of management fees reported publicly. Thus it is not easy to decide on the quality of the fund management and estimate the level of management charges optimal for the future fund performance. Purpose of the article:  In this study, we propose to utilize an actual rate of the management fee (ARMF) disclosed in the management company financial statements as a measure of the real value of the management costs and investigate its determinants in mutual funds of different styles. Methods: Using a dataset of 21,618 monthly observations for 500 mutual funds from a market of diversified structure and high management fees charged we test the operating model of a mutual fund performance, and derive the formula of a before-fee return with the ARMF as its component. The fund performance is measured by a raw before-fee return and two types of risk-adjusted alphas based on the multifactor model of Carhart (1997) and the fund attributes. Later, using panel data we explain ARMF by mutual fund performance and attributes. We also compare the results to the ones obtained for the total operational cost (TOC) ? a value similar to ARMF that is disclosed in mutual fund financial reports. Findings & value added: We find that the proposed ARMF is related more to the size and not to the performance, age or a cash flow of mutual funds. We observe it among all studied fund styles. The largest deviations of the average ARMF are seen in the management companies that belong to the banks? capital groups. The proposed measure of the management fee included in the operating model of a mutual fund performance can be used for any local mutual fund worldwide, and compared with other fund markets of more or less diversified style structures.

Opis:
The transfer function (TF) method is presently a well-known method used to detect various types of winding damage in power transformers. Although abundant research has been done on this subject using laboratory windings as test objects, it is hard to find one, whose test objects are actual large-power transformer windings. Hence, a 400 kV disc winding consisting of 86 discs is used in this paper to study turn-to-turn short circuit with the help of the TF method. To evaluate the effects of this type of fault on TF curves, some mathematical comparison algorithms are used in this research.
