This article is a compilation of all standards governing the payloads for road bridges in our country starting before the II world war and ending on the Eurocode. The article also include a comparative analysis of the effort of the structures subjected to loads compliant with these standards. On their basis, there was estimated the load-bearing of the bridge.

Wśród materiałów zgromadzonych przez nieżyjącego już badacza regionalistę dr. Tadeusza Trojanowskiego, przechowywanych w Archiwum Państwowym w Płocku jako Zbiór prywatny – spuścizna po dr. Tadeuszu Trojanowskim, badaczu dziejów ziemi gostynińskiej 1962-1979, sygn. 50/492/0., znajdują się fragmenty Kroniki Gostynina. Księgi Pamięci (Pinkas Gostynin) wydanej w języku jidysz w 1960 r. tłumaczone w latach 1977-1979 XX przez Binema Motyla z Brukseli, niegdyś mieszkańca Gostynina. Dają one obraz życia społeczności żydowskiej Gostynina od początku XX w. do 1942 r., czyli do likwidacji getta w Gostyninie. Teksty te stanowią treść niniejszej publikacji. Podzielone zostały na trzy części. Dwie pierwsze obejmują okres z przełomu XIX/XX w., I wojny światowej i Polski niepodległej. Trzecia dotyczy okupacji niemieckiej z lat 1939-1942.
The article contains quotations from a book published in 1960 in New York-Tel Aviv, entitled ‘Pinkas Gostynin, czyli Kronika Gostynina’, edited by I.M. Biderman, translated by Binem Motyl of Brussels in the period from 1977 to 1979. They depict the life of Jewish community of Gostynin from the beginning of XX century until 1943, when the ghetto in Gostynin was liquidated. They represent a valuable contribution in the history of the town. These materials are kept in the National Archives in Płock.

The explosion of World War created on chance of achievements independent political existence by Ukrainians, inhabiting both Russian state and Habsburg monarchy. The matter of approbation Ukrainians independence ambitions and marking out borders, became the principle axis of Polish-Ukrainian conflict for a long time. After the end of II World War, communist authorities decided to solve the " Ukrainian problem” in Poland. Their aim was a building one-nation state. Realized this aim the "exchange of population” in 1944-1946 between Poland and USSR. The 1989-1991changes contribute to the constitutional transformation in Poland and the rise of independent Ukraine. The main meaning between both states has "Treaty between Republic Poland and Ukraine about good neighbourhood, friendly relations and co-operation” from the 18 May 1992. In perspective of time being complusory, treaty can affirm that it decisions are fully warned by both states and after any of sides Polish- Ukrainian border, there is no political environment, which would discredit her line.

The European reaction of the leading architects towards the period of international style, "The idea of style has yet again become up-to-date. The modern style, covering the whole world, is uniform and coherent..." [4], promoted at the exhibition "Modernist architecture" organized in Museum of Art in New York by architects Henry Russell Hitchcock and Philips Johnson, was immediate. The leading European architects: a) Walter Gropius wrote: "The aim of Bauhaus was not to promote one particular style..." [4], b) Le Corbusier formulated "Fundamental principles of aesthetics" [4], c) Bruno Taut wrote: "Five assumptions of new architecture" [4]. The message that "The form follows the function" became the very principle of modernism. The year 1972, when the blocks of flats in St. Louis, US were blown up, and the year of the actual end of the ideology originating from CIAM, is the agreed time marked as the end of modernism. It was a few years after Le Corbusier's death (1965) - the death of the unchallenged spiritual ideologist of modernism.

This work is an attempt of reconstruction of a motherhood pattem in XIX century. Two models of women have been taken into consideration, namely woman as a housewife and as a mother. In order to reconstruct these models, it was planned to use knowledge written down in XIX century guide literature. Through analisys of chosen group of guide books, state of social consciousness and some generalization of universal phenomena were examined. Ali common advice connected with the aspects of raising children were also noticed and mentioned in this report.

Opis:
The paper deals with the discussion on the alternative ideas on money, created by Silvio Gesell, Frederic Soddy and Karl Ballod. Particularly, the ideas of full-reserve banking, privilege of seigniorage and the principle of demurrage are discussed in the context of possible implementation of these ideas in a future economy. Large part of the paper is library-based, considering and briefly explaining the previously mentioned ideas, and supplementing them with the opinions of the modern economists. The discussion of the possible evolutionary way to implement those ideas is based on the logical analysis and conclusions, derived from the discussions of the author with academicians and financiers. The results lead to the conclusion that these ideas, which may seem unrealistic according the existing paradigm of growth, may turn out to be useful to form the basis of a new monetary and financial system within the new economic paradigm. The paper is an insight into unorthodox proposals on money, which may be useful to specialists and students, investigating monetary and financial systems.
