In the ecosystem perspective of family life, disability is not a problem only focused on the child but it affects the whole family in all its functions and dimensions of existence. It also determines the quality of life of the family that undertakes to raise a disabled child. The work involves evaluation of the quality of life of families raising disabled children residing in the territory of Podlaskie Voivodeship. The Polish version of Family Quality of Life Survey (by I. Brown et al., translated by: Zasępa E, Wapiennik E, Wołowicz A, 2006) was used in the research. Both strengths and deficits resulting from the analysis of findings of the research on family quality of life were pointed out in the work. They were then used to identify the needs of practical support for the families.

Opis:
Design/methodology/approach: The article uses literature on communication and results of a survey conducted among the Bank's employees. Findings: Based on an analysis of research results, e-mail can be indicated as the dominant tool in the effective transmission of information at the Bank. In the opinion of employees, the Newsletter was deemed the least effective electronic tool. Research limitations/implications: In the presented literature review, the author used selected databases (Ebsco, CeON). The articles contained there do not exhaust the subject. Analyses were performed on a limited sample, using one diagnostic tool. It should be noted that for internal communication to be effective, the forms and tools existing in organisations need to be examined not so much with the aim of replacing them with others, but to verify the scope, legitimacy and frequency of their use by employees. Considering the growing importance of internal communication in the organisation and the evolution of tools available to organisations, the field for further research is limitless. Originality/value This article contributes to the scientific discussion on the effectiveness of providing information by traditional and electronic means, and verifies their usefulness in financial institutions.

- Zgodnie z założeniami Konwencji Haskiej z 14 maja 1954 roku, znak Błękitnej Tarczy miał peł-nić funkcję rozpoznawczą – wskazywać obiekty i środki transportu podlegające ochronie w razie konfliktu zbrojnego. Stał się międzynarodowym symbolem, chroniącym zabytkowe budowle przed dewastacją i zapomnieniem, stosowanym znacznie szerzej, niż przewidziano w Konwencji. Wiele światowych organizacji i inicjatyw zajmujących się tematyką dziedzictwa kulturowego przyjęło ten znak jako własne logo. W Polsce Błękitną Tarczę wykorzystuje się do znakowania zabytków w celu zapewnienia im ochrony prawnej oraz rozpoznawalności. Ustawa z 23 lipca 2003 roku wraz z rozporządzeniami Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego określają dokładnie sposoby umieszczania Błękitnej Tarczy na obiektach historycznych. Jednakże wiele znaków umieszczanych jest na budynkach nieprawidłowo: są źle widoczne; psują estetykę elewacji; bywa, iż ich umocowanie niszczy zabytkowe portale.
In accordance with the provisions of the Hague Convention of 14th May 1954, the Blue Shield should function as a distinctive emblem – to facilitate the identification of protected cultural property and means of transport during an armed conflict. It became an international symbol protecting historical buildings from devastation and oblivion, used in broader spectrum than it was initially predicted in the Convention. Many international cultural heritage organisations and initiatives adopt this sign as their logotypes. In Poland the Blue Shield emblem is used to mark the monuments ensuring them legal protection and recognition. The Act of Parliament of 23th July 2003 along with the Minister's of Culture and National Heritage regulations define precisely the ways of placing the Blue Shield on the historical objects. However, many plates are placed improperly: they are weakly visible, spoil the aesthetic value of elevation, sometimes their hold destroy the antique portals.

In this paper we identify trade specialisation changes in the 10 Central and Eastern European countries which joined the European Union after 2004 (EU-10, without Croatia). We measure those changes using indices of the intra-industry trade (IIT), i.e. is of simultaneous exports and imports of products belonging to the same industry. We conclude that the pattern of inter-industry trade based on comparative advantages is still dominating in the EU-10, but its role has been decreasing. At the same time, almost all the EU-10 countries recorded a significant rise in the proportion of high quality vertically differentiated products, thus showing the improved competitiveness of their exports. According to the theory, such type of specialisation is based on factors such as human capital and R&D. We also identifi ed the increasing role of IIT in horizontally differentiated products trade (i.e. simultaneous exports and imports of products of similar quality and technology) in the EU-10, typical for more developed countries and refl ecting income convergence. This paper extends earlier studies by using more recent data and a long period for comparison of IIT developments (20 years) and by covering all 10 Central and Eastern European countries which joined the EU.

This study describes the possibility of practical application of the Wright's path analysis method for assessment of the effect of growth dynamics of fodder galega (Galega orientalis Lam.) plants on some seed yield components: shoot length, the length of cluster, the length of productive part of cluster, the number and weight of pods per shoot, the number and weight of seeds and pod weight and thousand seed weight. Weekly increments of plant shoots as affected by hydrothermal conditions were determined to assess growth dynamics. Simple correlation and Wright's path method were applied to assess the effect of growth dynamics on yield components. Applying Wright’s path method allowed assessment of the effect of individual plant growth stages on increment at successive stages, which is impossible at using only simple correlations. Growth rate of eastern galega shoots significantly determined the number of pods per productive part of cluster (58.6%), number of pods on the whole length of cluster (48.9%) and the number of pods per shoot (41.5%). Dynamic plant growth in the initial period of development had a positive effect on the assessed seed yield components, whereas plant growth at its final period (beginning of July) had a negative effect. Shoot length increments in June affected the yield structure only to a slight extent.
W pracy opisano możliwość praktycznego zastosowania metody analizy ścieżek Wrighta do oceny wpływu dynamiki wzrostu roślin rutwicy wschodniej (Galega orientalis Lam.) na wybrane komponenty plonu nasion: długość pędów, długość grona oraz produktywnej części grona, liczbę i masę strąków na pędzie, liczbę i masę nasion oraz masę strąków i masę tysiąca nasion. Przy ocenie dynamiki wzrostu określono tygodniowe przyrosty pędów roślin na tle warunków hydrotermicznych. Do oceny wpływu dynamiki wzrostu na komponenty plonu zastosowano korelację prostą i metodę ścieżek Wrighta. Zastosowanie metody ścieżek Wrighta umożliwiało ocenę wpływu poszczególnych faz wzrostu roślin na wzrost w kolejnych fazach, co jest niemożliwe przy zastosowaniu wyłącznie prostych korelacji. Tempo wzrostu pędów rutwicy wschodniej istotnie determinowało obsadę strąków na produktywnej części grona (58,6%), obsadę strąków na całkowitej długości grona (48,9%) oraz liczbę strąków na pędzie (41,5%). Na oceniane komponenty plonu nasion pozytywnie wpływał dynamiczny wzrost roślin w początkowym okresie rozwoju, natomiast wzrost roślin w jego końcowym okresie (początek lipca) oddziaływał negatywnie. Przyrosty długości pędów w czerwcu wpływały na strukturę plonu jedynie w nieznacznym stopniu.
