The spin-glass transition in Cd$\text{}_{1-x}$Mn$\text{}_{x}$Te epitaxial layers and bulk samples with 0.24 ≤ x ≤ 0.43 and in quantum well structures on the basis of Cd$\text{}_{1-x}$Mn$\text{}_{x}$Te were investigated by means of optical spectroscopy. Reduction of dimensionality of Cd$\text{}_{1-x}$Mn$\text{}_{x}$Te layers down to the quasi-two-dimensional case realized in Cd$\text{}_{1-x}$Mn$\text{}_{x}$Te/Cd$\text{}_{1- y}$Mn$\text{}_{y}$Te heterostructures frustrates the spin-glass formation, which is in agreement with theoretical predictions. The spin-glass formation is also frustrated in the vicinity of interfaces between semimagnetic and nonmagnetic semiconductors in CdTe/Cd$\text{}_{1-x}$Mn$\text{}_{x}$Te quantum wells.

The authoress claims that the experience of the man’s own existence is genetically earlier than all other types of cognition. It can be called the man’s primordial, basic, radical, fundamental experience: the experience of human existence immersed in the world. It constitutes a foundation and place wherein the problem of God arises in the most natural and spontaneous way, and where the very roots of the problem are to be sought. She emphasizes that it is extremely important that the affirmation of the man’s existence is achieved along with cognitional contact with extra-subjective reality whose affirmation allows for man to more deeply penetrate the affirmation of his own existence, to know his existence as connected with other personal and non-personal beings—and ultimately connected with the existence of a higher and stronger reality, the reality of God. These are not man’s impressions or desires, but facts stated by man. The authoress concludes that it is human experience which reveals man as a correlate of a higher, stronger and transcendent reality. Man thus turns out to be a religious being—homo religiosus.

Opis:
Catalytically enhanced growth of ZnMnTe diluted magnetic semiconductor nanowires by molecular beam epitaxy is reported. The growth is based on the vapor-liquid-solid mechanism and was performed on (001) and (011)-oriented GaAs substrates from elemental sources. X-ray diffractometry, scanning and transmission electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy, and Raman scattering were performed to determine the structure of nanowires, their chemical composition, and morphology. These studies revealed that the obtained ZnMnTe nanowires possess zinc-blende structure, have an average diameter of about 30 nm, typical length between 1 and 2μm and that Mn$\text{}^{2+}$ ions were incorporated into substitutional sites of the ZnTe crystal lattice.

Opis:
Photoluminescence studies of zinc oxide nanowires produced by a carbo-thermal method on a nickel foil substrate are reported. Two types of as-grown samples: the first - containing only buffer film, and the second - containing both zinc oxide nanowires and buffer film grown in the same technological process, were investigated by means of the temperature-dependent photoluminescence. X-ray diffraction measurements of buffer film show that it is polycrystalline and is composed from wurtzite-type ZnO (main phase) and includes minority phases: rock salt type (Ni,Zn)O and hexagonal C₃N₄. The shape of the apparently monocrystalline nanowires is characterized by hexagonal section matching with the expectations of the hexagonal ZnO structure. The presence of LO-phonon replicas in photoluminescence spectra for the second sample is used as an argument for confirmation that ZnO nanowires are single crystalline. The method of growth of ZnO nanowires on nickel oxide opens perspectives to produce $Zn_{1-x}Ni_{x}O$ diluted magnetic semiconductor nanowires.

Opis:
N-type indium doped CdTe grown on n$\text{}^{+}$-GaAs by molecular beam epitaxy has been studied by the standard deep level transient spectroscopy and the isothermal Laplace-transform deep level transient spectroscopy. It was found that the Cd/Te flux ratio strongly influences the deep level transient spectroscopy results. The unusual temperature dependence of the electron emission rate in films grown at nearly stoichiometric conditions may point out that the observed defect is resonant with the conduction band.

We report on growth by molecular beam epitaxy of thick layers of MnTe with zinc blende structure. Films as thick as 5.6 µm were obtained. Characterization by X-ray diffraction proved their good structural quality. We determined the lattice constant and its temperature dependence. Broad luminescence due to internal Mn$\text{}^{2+}$- transitions was observed. It showed an unexpected temperature dependence.

Opis:
The influence of technological parameters on the transformation of 1-butene-3-ol (1B3O) to bis(3-methyl- 1-propene) ether (2x1B3O ether) and 3-(3-methyl-1-propene)-3-methyl-1,2-epoxypropane ether (1B3Ox1,2EB3O ether) over the TS-2 catalyst was presented. The reaction was performed in a glass reactor at atmospheric pressure and in methanol medium (protic solvent). The optimum conditions of 2x1B3O ether and 1B3Ox1,2EB3O ether obtaining were established by the mathematical method of experiments design (rotatable-uniform design) and after the analyses of the layer drawings.

Badano zawartość niektórych metalicznych pierwiastków śladowych w glebach Bieszczadów (gleby brunatne kwaśne - poziom Ah i świeże namuły). W oparciu o zakres empiryczny wyznaczono i zaprezentowano zakres oczekiwany zawartości. Zakres ten (95% z uzyskanych wyników) obliczono w sposób następujący: S/SG² do G x SG² (G - średnia geometryczna; SG - odchylenie geometryczne).
The contents of some metallic elements in Bieszczady mountain soils (acid brown soils - mineral horizons, fresh alluvial deposit) were described. On the basis of empirically observed range, the expected range was also determined and presented. Baseline values (95% expected ranges) were calculated as follows: S/SG² to G x SG² (G - geometric mean; SG - geometric deviation).

The technical solution of building ethernet interface for controlling and monitoring industrial devices by computer network is presented in this paper. Additionally software for control and visualisation of ethernet interface actual state over Internet is described.

Niniejszy artykuł ma celu przedstawienie możliwości adaptacji założeń metodologii impact evaluation (ewaluacji wpływu) do oceny interwencji publicznych w infrastrukturę transportu drogowego. Artykuł składa się z dwóch części. W pierwszej przedstawione zostały główne założenia stosowania metody ewaluacji wpływu pozwalającej na oszacowanie rzeczywistych efektów – efektów netto danej interwencji – wraz ze wskazaniem przykładów badań ewaluacyjnych wykorzystujących tę metodę. Druga część artykułu zawiera prezentację wyników badań empirycznych mających na celu sprawdzenie możliwości zastosowania metodologii, na której opiera się ewaluacja wpływu, na przykładzie konkretnego projektu dotyczącego inwestycji w infrastrukturę drogową. Artykuł kończy krytyczna analiza metody, a więc ocena wiarygodności i użyteczności mierzenia efektów netto w odniesieniu do projektów inwestycyjnych z zakresu infrastruktury drogowej.
The article presents possibilities of adapting the impact evaluation methodology to the evaluation of public intervention in road infrastructure. In the first part of the article the authors present the principles of the impact evaluation methodology, which serves to evaluate real effects of an intervention, as well as examples of evaluation projects prepared with the use of this method. The authors present their own empiric study, which was the first application of the methodology in the road infrastructure sector. The article concludes with a critical analysis of the method, especially concerning its reliability and potential usefulness in road infrastructure.

The work is a discussion of the book It Didn’t Start with You: How Inherited Family Trauma Shapes Who We Are and How to End the Cycle by Mark Wolynn, an American psychologist who deals with the therapy of inherited trauma. The author presents Wolynn’s basic assumptions regarding trauma and post-trauma and its therapeutic system and she emphasizes the popularizing aspect of the work. Afterwards, she indicates the possibilities and directions of interpretation given by Wolynn’s theory in the context of contemporary Polish prose that regards war traumas and is written by the so-called second generation.
