    Opis:
    The development of construction and the growing popularity of concrete as a building material cause a continuous increase in the demand for non-renewable raw material such as aggregate. This paper aims to analyse the possibility of using various alternative aggregates for the production of concrete. In the first part of article a detailed analysis of the European aggregate production has thus been carried out and the requirements for concrete aggregates according to European Standards have been also presented. One of the goals of sustainable waste management is to reduce landfills by finding new ways to reuse and disposing waste. Therefore in the second part of article the waste-based aggregates have been analysed. Moreover, various types of alternative aggregates such as recycled and manufactured aggregates are discussed in detail. The article presents also the properties of selected alternative aggregates with a proposal of pre-treatment. Based on the presented analyses it can be concluded that each new waste that is sourced as aggregate in concrete should undergo detailed testing because of the different chemical and mechanical properties of various waste aggregates. Hence, specific research for each waste should be undertaken.

    W artykule omówiono zagadnienia związane z prowadzeniem zajęć laboratoryjnych z przedmiotów chemia budowlana i materiały budowlane na kierunku Budownictwo. Pandemia z 2020 roku wymusiła natychmiastową zmianę formy nauczania. Mimo przeciwności, chcąc zbliżyć się do zakładanych efektów nauczania, podjęto decyzję o próbie zastąpienia tradycyjnego nauczania, nauczaniem zdalnym, z wykorzystaniem nowoczesnych technik kształcenia na odległość.
    In this paper we consider challenges regarding teaching of building chemistry and building materials for Civil Engineering udergraduates. 2020’s pandemic forced an immediate change of the way how the teaching is delivered. Against all obstacles, with unshakable desire to teach new generations, a decision was made to try replacing traditional teaching with a distant one, using the most modern distant teaching techniques.

    This article describes an attributive on the basis of a novel entitled “Der Zauberberg” of the famous German writer – Thomas Mann. This is a detailed analysis of the attributive and all examples come from the novel “Der Zauberberg”. At the outset of the article are quoted different definitions. Various classifications of attributive are presented. The article answers the questions: which part of speech can be used as an attributive. Finally I wishes to highlight the case of the subordinate clause, which also fulfil the role of an attributive and refer to the special form of attributive, namely to the apposition.

    Introduction: Sprints combined with changes in direction and repeated lunges are the most frequent movements during a squash game. These motions overload the iliopsoas muscle which may cause a lot of microinjuries. Accumulating microinjuries combined with a lack of stretching exercises may lead to iliopsoas contracture. Aim of the study: Assessment of the frequency and degree of iliopsoas contracture in regular squash players. Material and methods: The experimental group comprised 25 regular squash players (minimum 2 years of playing at least twice a week) and 21 non-players (control group). A modified Thomas Test was used to assess iliopsoas contracture using goniometric and linear measurements. Results: Iliopsoas contracture was observed in 96% of the squash players and 66.7% of the non-players (p = 0.0089). The degree of muscle contracture in the goniometric measurement was greater in squash players than in the non-players in both the left (p = 0.0303) and right (p = 0.0007) iliopsoas muscles. There were no statistically significant differences in the linear measurement. Conclusions: There is a positive relationship between regularly playing squash and the frequency of iliopsoas contracture occurrence being significantly greater in squash players than in non-players.

    Opis:
    Neoclassical mausoleum of Józef Fraget (1797-1867) commemorating a French industrial entrepreneur and the founder of the first factory of clad goods in Poland was constructed at Old Powązki Cemetery in Warsaw between 1867 and 1869 (quarter A, row I). The author of the torso is Leonard Marconi, and the mold is believed to have been made by the “Lilpop, Rau i Loewenstein” factory in Warsaw. The original project embraced only the top, cast iron part of the tomb in the form of Doric aedicule with entablature and triangular pediment as well as the marble torso placed on prism pedestal located among four columns. The bottom, stone part, was executed later, approximately in 1913 in Władysław Tuszyński stone enterprise. The Mausoleum of Fraget is a replica of the monument situated in Berlin at St. Doro-thy’s Cemetery commemorating Johann August Borsig (1804-1854), the owner of the well-established metal factory in Europe. Its designer was an architect from Berlin, an appren-tice of Schinkl, Johann Heinrich Strack, and the maker of the bronze torso mold was a sculp-tor Christian Daniel Rauch. Three other mausoleums originated from the same model: the Brand family mausoleum at the Metallurgical Cemetery in Gliwice, (between 1865 and 1890), Tomas Evans mausoleum at the Evangelical Reformed Cemetery in Warsaw (second half of the 60s. the XIX century, currently non-existent) and in its slightly modified form, the tomb of the architect J. H. Strack at the St Dorothy’s Cemetery in Berlin (1880-1882). All the above-mentioned mausoleums except the monument decorating the tomb of the architect Strack, commemorated personalities from metallurgical industry. The particularity of the mausoleum of Józef Fraget consists in the use of cast iron as the main constructing element. It is a distinctive feature differing the mausoleum in question from the remaining exemplary monuments made of stone.

    This article picks certain motifs from Jean-Paul Sartre’s philosophy on the structure of human subjectivity and juxtaposes them with reflections based on phenomenological psychopathology by Thomas Fuchs. The three ‘dimensions’ of human subjectivity, as distinguished by Sartre and Fuchs, are compared: the feeling of self, the feeling of the other and the feeling of time. Consequently, the existential feelings described by Sartre are connected with mental disorders distinguished by Fuchs in an attempt to recognise a place for Sartre’s theory of existentialism in the most recent discussion on phenomenological psychopathology.

    Opis:
    Aggressive behavior poses a serious problem to medical staff. It has numerous consequences for the employees: they may experience anger, helplessness and even burnout, which ultimately affects the therapeutic process in a negative way. To reduce these negative consequences, a number of solutions are put forward, including training to prevent aggression. The content and programs of this type of training remain open, however, the literature recommends focusing on issues related to preventing the occurrence of aggressive behavior. The training is intended to provide the staff with adequate knowledge of how to deal with the aggressive behavior of patients, although this is not the only effect. It also affects the attitudes and sense of self-efficacy of participants. The effectiveness of the training in this area is measurable. Appropriate tools are used to this end, provided by the trainers to the trainees. However, one should take into account the aspects of intercultural differences, such as different training systems, principles of patient care or education, which may condition the effects and changes resulting from training to prevent aggression.
    Zachowania agresywne stanowią poważny problem w pracy personelu medycznego. Mają one liczne konsekwencje dla pracowników; odczuwają oni złość, poczucie bezsilności, a nawet doświadczają wypalenia zawodowego, które ostatecznie wpływa w sposób negatywny na proces terapeutyczny. Zmierzając do ograniczenia negatywnych konsekwencji tego procesu, proponuje się wiele rozwiązań, do których należą treningi zapobiegania agresji. Treść i program tego typu szkoleń mają charakter otwarty, jednak literatura przedmiotu zaleca koncentrację na zagadnieniach związanych z przeciwdziałaniem wystąpieniu zachowań agresywnych. Treningi w założeniu mają na celu wyposażenie personelu w odpowiednią wiedzę dotyczącą zasad postępowania wobec zachowań agresywnych pacjentów, jakkolwiek nie jest to ich jedyny efekt. Wpływają one także na postawy i poczucie własnej skuteczności uczestników. Efektywność treningu w tym zakresie jest możliwa do zmierzenia. Służą temu odpowiednie narzędzia, które prowadzący szkolenie może przekazać swoim kursantom. Należy jednak uwzględniać aspekt różnic międzykulturowych – inne systemy szkolenia, zasady opieki nad pacjentem czy też wychowanie mogą warunkować uzyskane efekty i zmiany, będące efektem treningu zapobiegania agresji.
