    The main subject of article is sociopolitical situation of Romanovs after the Bolshevik Revolution. The first part is a description of final years of the rule and relations inside the dynasty. The second reverence of the text focus on the problems of White Emigrations and the difficult economic situations of members which survived revolution. The next part tells about organization of the Union of Mladorossi and attempts politicizing the situation of the Romanovs in Europe. The ending is historical reflection. Its aim is to present the political position of the Romanovs in the 21st century and real chances return to Russia.

    The paper discusses and illustrates the most significant issues related to the functioning of the disabled in the social and political dimensions. The evolution of social attitudes to people with disabilities over the centuries is shown. The paper discusses the matters of how Poles perceive disability, the solutions in the electoral code and other legal acts and documents, and increasingly frequent social awareness campaigns that are aimed to encourage the disabled to vote in elections, which all have a beneficial impact on the process of activization of the disabled as rightful citizens. The paper is interdisciplinary, encompassing the points of view of a researcher dealing with physiotherapy and that of a researcher into political science, making it unique.

    Yemen is a country which belongs to the world’s poorest regions. Constant civil wars, instability of employment, lack of education and healthcare as well as widespread famine, are only some of the major problems which Yemen struggles with. Due to totalitarian and inefficient rule of the former President Ali Abdall Salli, the political situation worsen leading to so called ‘Arab Spring’ revolution when the Yemeni society finally said ‘no’ to the regime. Incompetent political leadership of President Ali Abdullah Saleh as well as his dealings with tribal intricacies created a perfect harbour for al Qaeda creating a sense of destabilizations and fear around the country. Despite of the reigns of newly-elected president , the situation has not improved. Country still remains in a deep economic and social crisis being on verge of another civil war which could be tragic. The main reason for destabilisation in Yemen is growing conflict between Shiite-Huti from the north of the country as well as rapid activation of al Qaeda structures in the Arabian Peninsula in the south. The situation in Yemen shows us how terrorist organizations and other related groups activate in consequence of abolishment of the country’s regime and central administration. This kind of situation is not promising for the future of the country. It needs to be said openly that without help from other countries and international organisations, Yemen is unable to cope with the existing situation and it is the only way to save that region which as we know plays a strategic role in the international arena.

    The article deals with the matter of social-political relations between GDR and the People’s Republic of Poland within the period of building the Berlin Wall in 1961 from the point of view of the Polish press issued officially and unofficially which has been little studied so far. It shows huge differences in opinions and reliability of transferring press information between the official press and the one issued in the West. It involves mainly the relationship of Polish press towards the Berlin Wall and methods and directions of shaping the public opinion. Capturing the subject character of propaganda that was used in showing the relations between GDR and Federal Republic of Germany was also important. That is why analysing the chosen press titles issued within the mentioned period was also necessary for that reason, although it can be stated that defining those relations was not an easy task due to the poor sources (only several press articles).

    W poszczególnych województwach, w tym także w Olsztynie w strukturach Wojewódzkiego Urzędu Spraw Wewnętrznych powołano Wydział Studiów i Analiz Służby Bezpieczeństwa, który funkcjonował na przełomie lat 1989/1990. Poniżej opublikowano osiem zachowanych dokumentów, którymi są sprawozdania sporządzone przez Wydział Studiów i Analiz Służby Bezpieczeństwa w Olsztynie dla Ministerstwa Spraw Wewnętrznych w Warszawie. Obecnie dokumenty te znajdują się w zasobie archiwalnym olsztyńskiej Delegatury Instytutu Pamięci Narodowej i dotychczas nie były publikowane, ani nawet szerzej znane. Sprawozdania te powstały w okresie przemian ustrojowych w Polsce i stanowią interesujący zapis ówczesnej sytuacji społeczno-politycznej na Warmii i Mazurach.
    In individual voivodeships, including Olsztyn, the Department of Studies and Analyses of the Security Service Agency was established within the structures of the Voivodeship Office of Internal Affairs. It functioned at the turn of 1989/1990. Eight preserved documents are published below. These are reports prepared by the Department of Studies and Analyses of the Security Service Agency in Olsztyn for the Ministry of the Interior in Warsaw. Currently, these documents are in the archives of the Olsztyn Regional Office of the Institute of National Remembrance and have not been published or even widely known so far. These reports were created during the period of political changes in Poland and constitute an interesting record of the socio-political situation in Warmia and Mazury at that time.

    Zjawiska kryzysowe, jakie ujawniły się w Afryce w latach 80. XX w., i groźba marginalizacji w globalizującym się systemie międzynarodowym skłoniły afrykańskie elity do poszukiwania strategii naprawczych zmierzających do przyspieszenia procesów rozwojowych i modernizacyjnych na kontynencie. Jednym z elementów tych strategii miała być demokratyzacja, traktowana jako sposób na upodmiotowienie społeczeństw i stworzenie efektywnych instytucji państwowych. Postulat budowania demokratycznych i opartych na praworządności reżimów politycznych został wpisany do agendy regionalnych instytucji międzynarodowych, w tym Organizacji Jedności Afrykańskiej i jej następczyni - Unii Afrykańskiej. Promowanie procesów demokratyzacyjnych napotyka jednak w Afryce szereg przeszkód wynikających z polityczno-społecznych uwarunkowań właściwych poszczególnym krajom i sub-regionom kontynentu.(abstrakt oryginalny)
    The crises in Africa in the 1980s and the threat of marginalisation in an increasingly global international system motivated the African elites to search for corrective strategies to speed up development and modernisation processes on the continent. Democratisation, conceived as a way of empowering societies and of creating effective government institutions, was considered an element of these strategies. The need to build democratic regimes based on the rule of law was included on the agenda of regional international institutions, including the Organisation of African Unity and its successor, the African Union. And yet promoting democratisation in Africa runs into a range of obstacles having to do with the socio-political conditions in different countries and subregions of the continent.(original abstract)
