A series of 6-substituted quanoxaline derivatives have been synthesized and examined their purities by literature method. The infrared and 13>/Sup>C NMR spectral data of these quinoxalines were correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters using single and multi-regression analysis. From the results of statistical analysis, the effect of substituents on the spectral frequencies has been studied.

About ten 4-(N-(4-(5-phenylisoxazol-3-yl)phenylsufamyl)-3-(p-tolyl)-1,2,3,-oxadiazol-3-ium-5-olates were synthesised and examined their purities by literature method. The infrared and NMR spectral data of above synthesised isoxazoles were assigned and correlated with Hammett substituent constants and Swain-Lupton’s constants using regression analysis. From statistical analyses results, the effects of substituents on the spectral data have been discussed.

We have synthesized eleven numbers of 1-{[3-(furan-2-yl)-5-phenyl-4,5-dihydro-1,2-oxazol-4-yl]methyl}-4-methyl piperazines by hydroxyapatite catalyzed microwave assisted condensation method. The synthesized 1-{[3-(furan-2-yl)-5-phenyl-4,5-dihydro-1,2-oxazol-4-yl]methyl}-4-methyl piperazine compounds were characterized by means of their IR and NMR spectral data. The assigned infrared spectral νC=N, νC-O-C stretches(cm-1), NMR chemical shifts of isoxazoline (d) proton, isoxazoline (m) proton, N-CH3, C=N, C-NH2 and C-NH3 (δ, ppm) of these 1-{[3-(furan-2-yl)-5-phenyl-4,5-dihydro-1,2-oxazol-4-yl]methyl}-4-methyl piperazines were assigned and correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters using single and multi linear regression analysis. From the results of statistical analyses, the effects of substituents on the above group frequencies were discussed.

About nine (E)-(2,5-dinitrophenyl)-2-(substituted benzylidene)hydrazines have been synthesized by hydroxy apatite catalyzed condensation of 2,4-dinitrophenyl hydrazine and substituted benzaldehydes under microwave irradiation conditions. The obtained yields of these hydrazines are more than 85%. The purities of synthesized hydrazines are examined by the analytical and spectroscopic data reported earlier. The infrared spectral C=N, NH frequencies (v, cm-1) and the NMR spectral chemical shifts of CH, NH protons and carbons are assigned and are correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameter using single and multi-regression analysis. From the results of statistical analysis the effects of substituent on the group frequencies have been discussed. The antioxidant activities of these synthesized hydrazines were measured using DPPH radical scavenging method. The hydroxy- and methoxy- substituted hydrazines shows significant antioxidant activity.

In this investigation, the authors predicted the effects of substituents on the functional groups of the titled chalcones using Linear Free Energy Relationship through Hammett equation with its constants and Swain-Lupton parameters. The LFER model statistical analysis was carried out using single and multi-linear regression analysis in MS Office 365 XL package. From the LFER analysis outcome, the influence of substituents on the spectroscopic functionality were discussed with their electronic effects such as, polar, inductive, resonance, field and conjugation. The titled compounds were prepared by solvent-free Aldol-Condensation method. The prepared compounds were characterised by their physical constants, micro analysis and spectroscopic data (FT-IR, NMR and Mass).

A series of 2-Amino-4-isopropyl-6-methoxy-N-phenylpyrimidine-5-carboxamide compounds have been synthesized from various substituted dithioacetal and guanidine. The purities of these compounds were checked by their physical constants, UV, IR, NMR and MASS spectral data. The IR and 1HNMR spectral data of these compounds have been correlated with Hammett sigma constants, F and R parameters using single and multi-linear regression analysis. From the results of statistical analysis, the effects of substituents on the spectral group frequencies have been discussed.

A series containing thirteen 3-(2-naphthyl)-5-(substituted phenyl)-4,5-dihydroisoxazole have been synthesized and examined their purities by their data reported earlier. The characteristic infrared νC=N (cm-1) stretches, NMR chemical shifts (δ, ppm) of H4,4׳, H5 protons, C3-5 carbons were assigned and correlated with Hammett substituent constants and Swain-Lupton’s parameters using single and multi- regression analysis. From the results of regression analysis the effect of substituents on the spectral data have been studied.

In this work, an attempt was made to synthesized (E)-1-(2,4-dimethylthiazol-5-yl)-3-phenylprop-2-en-1-one by cross-aldol condensation reaction of 5′-acetyl-2,4-dimethylthiazole with various substituted Benz aldehyde in the presence base (sodium hydroxide). The synthesized (E)-1-(2,4-dimethylthiazol-5-yl)-3-phenylprop-2-en-1-one derivative was characterized by physical constants, UV, FT-IR, 1H-NMR & 13C-NMR spectral data. All the observed spectral data of substituted (E)-1-(2,4-dimethylthiazol-5-yl)-3-phenylprop-2-en-1-one compounds have been correlated with Hammett substituent constants(σ, σ+, σI & σR) and F and R parameters using single and multi-linear regression analyses and studied for their anti-microbial activities and compared with the standard drugs (Ciprofloxacin). Some compound of the series exhibited promising anti-microbial activity compared to standard drugs (Ciprofloxacin).

A series of substituted 2-((phenyl amino)methyl)-1,2-dihydro-5-(3-methoxyphenyl)-1-phenyl-1,2,4-triazole-3-thione compounds were synthesized and examined their purities as per the literature. The IR spectra of νC=N, νC=S, νNH and νCOC frequencies and NMR chemical shifts (ppm) of δNH, δOCH3, δCH2, δC=N, δC=S, δOCH3 and δCH2 are also assigned. The assigned IR and both 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectral data have been correlated with Hammett substituent constants and Swain-Lupton’s parameters using single and multi-linear regression analysis. From the results of statistical analysis, the effect of substituents on the above spectral data has been studied.
