The paper is a result of research work carried out under the project EMITRANSYS for shaping ecological transport system. The paper presents selected aspects of emission and concentration of harmful compounds of exhaust gases generated by road transport. It also presents the share of harmful compounds emitted by road transport in comparison with the emission from other sectors of economy. Transport policy should encourage the usage of energyefficient and less environmentally damaging modes of transport and their efficient use. The paper analyses the emissions of selected pollutants and their estimated contribution to the total emissions of road transport. It also presents selected aspects of the identification of areas with the highest emissions of harmful compounds in Poland against the European Union. This analysis provides a basis to identify the instruments to prevent and reduce pollution arising from transport activities. In particular, variable emission of selected components of fumes according to the velocity of passenger vehicle. the measured values for NO2 concentration in the UE countries in 2011, the measured values for CO concentration in UE countries in 2011, the measured values for PM10 concentration in UE countries in 2011, the measured values for PM2.5 concentration in UE countries in 2011 are presented in the paper.

The degree of emission limitation achieved through improved efficiency of combustion engine vehicles can no longer set off additional emissions caused by increasing traffic activity. As the restriction of greenhouse gas emissions from cars is expected to be particularly difficult, the air pollution and excessive dependence of road transportation on oil cannot be improved without the implementation of new mobility concepts (biofuels, hybrid drives, electric vehicles). The lack of these concepts, as emphasized in the White Paper, will preserve transportation dependence on crude oil so deeply that only 10% of energy will be derived from renewable sources. According to this scenario, until 2050 the CO2 emissions in the transportation sector will increase by one-third compared to 1990. Moreover, there will be an increase in the costs of traffic congestion until 2050 by ca. 50%. The difference in the availability between central and peripheral areas and social costs of accidents and noise pollution will increase as well (EC, 2011). The goal of the paper is to determine whether the implementation of a new solution would actually improve the situation of air pollution, traffic noise, etc. To this end, the paper proposes a comparative analysis of cars with various sources of energy using a multi-criteria scoring method. Notably, this method has never been used in such a confrontation before. Until now, the multi-criteria assessment methods have been used i.a. to evaluate implementation variants for infrastructural investment projects in rail transport (Jacyna and Wasiak, 2007), traffic flow distribution (Jacyna and Merkisz, 2014; Wasiak et al., 2017), supply chain efficiency (Jacyna-Gołda et al., 2018), effectiveness of vehicle allocation for tasks in supply chains (Jacyna-Gołda et al., 2017), etc.

Opis:
Transport is one of the most environmentally destructive branches of economy. It contributes to environmental degradation and influences negatively on human live. It should therefore seek to reduce the negative impact on the environment. The paper presents many aspects of development of the national transport system. In article characterized technical constraints and environmental issues, which are applicable to the designing of pro-ecological transport system. Presented in it also indicators of the proposed design solution quality. In shaping the pro-ecological system the special role plays environmental restrictions, because they mainly determine the quality of solutions in terms of minimizing the negative impact of transport on the environment. Technical factors are equally important, because they allow, among others, reducing the external costs of congestions and allow on the creation of transport tasks on the appropriate level. In particularly, EU requirements for sustainable development of the transport system, the components of the external costs arising from the sphere of transport, indicators and ecological limitations in designing of pro-ecological transport system, ecological limitations, technical limitations, indicators for assessing pro-ecological transport system are presented in the paper.

Wskazano na funkcje i zadania terminali transportu intermodalnego przybliżając główne elementy wyposażenia infrastrukturalnego. Dokonano charakterystyki działań Unii Europejskiej w zakresie zrównoważonego transportu, ukierunkowanego na rozwój transportu niskoemisyjnego i ograniczającego zanieczyszczenie środowiska. Przedstawiono analizę przewozów intermodalnych i ich rozwój na przestrzeni ostatnich pięciu lat na tle rynku przewozów kolejowych w Polsce. Dokonano identyfikacji możliwości przeładunkowych terminali transportu intermodalnego.
The article presents the problem of transshipment terminals and their importance in the development of intermodal transport. The functions and tasks provided by intermodal terminals as well as their infrastructure elements were pointed out. Article characterizes the European Union action in the field of sustainable transport, focused on the development of low emission transport and environment pollution. Also the intermodal transport and its development over the last five years against the rail transport market in Poland were analyzed. More over the possibilities of cargo handling in intermodal terminals were identified.

Movement of trains on the railway network, due to the need to conduct them in a smooth, safe and stable manner, must be properly structured. This arrangement is defined as the organization of railway traffic. One of the significant problems associated with the organization of traffic is the construction of the timetable. Timetable should be constructed in such a way as to avoid blockages mainly before operating control points. It can not be allowed to occur that the train will wait for the preceding train to release the platform edge. During building the mathematical models supporting the construction of the timetable should therefore take into account this problem. The article presents selected elements of the mathematical model of timetable construction of the passenger trains, taking into account the problem of the perimeter edges allocation. The formal record of the model, the input data necessary for its operation and the sought values were presented. Boundary conditions and indicators for the quality of the solution have been discussed. An example of model works on real data.

Opis:
Exploitation of means of transport is an important decision issue for transport companies that perform transport tasks. The means of transport during their operation lose their functional properties, which mean that they require technical service and repairs. The components of operating costs of means of transport are expenditures incurred for servicing and expenditures incurred for repairs. As the first cost component increases, the other will decrease and vice versa. We obtain the optimal economic effect of the means of transport when the sum of costs reaches the minimum value. The article presents the problems of optimization of the technical service system. This required identification of technical services and basic parameters characterizing the operation system. On this basis, a mathematical approach to the problem of modelling the maintenance system is presented, including the decision variables, constraints and the criterion function. The identification of the problem of modelling the technical service system is presented in the case study for modelling the technical service of means of transport – buses in the company providing passenger transport services in public transport.

W artykule omówiony został problem potencjału systemu przewozowego oraz jego ocena. W tym celu dokonano identyfikacji systemu przewozowego oraz ich klasyfikacji. Ponadto przedstawiono model systemu przewozowego oraz scharakteryzowano jego elementy, przedstawiono zapis formalny modelu systemu przewozowego. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na potencjał systemu przewozowego i jego ocenę w aspekcie realizacji zadań przewozowych. Przedstawiono formalny zapis potencjału systemu przewozowego oraz zdefiniowano wskaźniki jego oceny zarówno cząstkowe jak i wskaźnik ogólny. Teoretyczne aspekty związane z potencjałem systemu przewozowego i jego oceny zweryfikowano na przykładzie problemu badawczego, który został przedstawiony w końcowej części artykułu.
The article discusses the problem of potential of transportation system and its evaluation. For this purpose, the identification of the transportation systems and their classification were done. More over the transportation system model, its elements and mathematical formulation were performed. Particular attention has been paid to the potential of the transport system and its evaluation in terms of the transportation task realization. Also the mathematical formulation of the potential of transportation system and its partial and general evaluation indicators were presented. The theoretical aspects of potential of transportation system and its assessment were verified on the calculation example, which was presented at the end of the article.

Polymers are compounds that play a key role in the development of many fields of science, including emergency medicine. Currently, there are increasing requirements for biomedical polymers in terms of producing lighter and more ecological equipment. To meet these requirements, a composite material was developed: polylactide (PLA) with the addition of modifiers - basalt and silicon dioxide (SiO2). PLA was chosen as a biodegradable polymer that naturally decomposes in the environment. This is very important, regarding a large number of single-use materials made of microplastics polluting the environment. The samples were made by additive 3D printing and then immersed in swimming pool water, chlorine solution, and distilled water. FTIR analysis showed the influence of the environment on the intensity and shift of PLA absorption bands. Microscopic analysis provided information on surface morphology, roughness, and potential defects. Tribological and micromechanical tests showed that the additions of basalt and silica to the PLA material influenced the morphological structure and the average area of the wear trace, volumetric wear, and average coefficient of friction. In the presence of chlorine solution, distilled water, and pool water under real conditions, the SiO2 addition made the PLA material more resistant to abrasion, as compared to the basalt addition. However, additives did not significantly affect the PLA material hardness, and the samples with basalt turned out to be more resistant to deformation.

The considerations included in the paper apply to the problem of the multi-criteria evaluation of transportation systems with constraints on delivery times in supply chains. For this reason, the identification of the transport network model and the nature of the configuration of the supply chain itself was carried out. In addition, a review of issues of the multi-criteria evaluation were done with respect to transportation systems. Later, the problem of the transport service of a distribution system were formulated and then, the results were analysed using the multi-criteria method. Finally, the paper examines the impact of the threshold of compliance and the threshold of non-compliance on of the final outcome of the solution.
Rozważania zamieszczone w artykule dotyczą problematyki wielokryterialnej oceny systemów przewozowych przy ograniczeniach na czas dostawy w łańcuchach dostaw. W tym celu dokonano identyfikacji modelu sieci transportowej oraz istoty konfigurowania samego łańcucha dostaw. Ponadto dokonano przeglądu problematyki oceny wielokryterialnej w aspekcie systemów przewozowych. W dalszej części sformułowano problem obsługi transportowej systemu dystrybucji, a następnie przeanalizowano otrzymane wyniki wykorzystując metodę wielokryterialną. W końcowej części artykułu przeanalizowano wpływ wartości progu zgodności i progu niezgodności na wynik końcowy rozwiązania.

The paper presents an approach to the logistics service for companies by warehouse facilities with different configurations in the logistics network. Through the warehouses it is possible to combine internal logistics functions such as ordering, unloading, product receptions, confectioning, order picking. The occurrence of warehouse facilities and suitable strategy also affects the volume of stocks, because they allow for combine reserves and compensates for fluctuations in demand. Optimal control of the amount of inventory reduces the demand for warehouse space and associates storage costs. The appropriate configuration of the warehouse facilities in the logistics network is therefore critical for effective logistics service of manufacturing companies. In such logistics network, individual subsystems are related to each other by different types of relation. From these interconnections result logistic tasks performed by company logistics system. Their implementation is caused both externally and internally, wherein the first considerations arise from the environment, the other from production. External logistic task is the boundary conditions for storage process in manufacturing company. The configuration of storage process determines the execution of internal logistics tasks for the company. The article also presents the logistics network configuration taking into account both direct and indirect services.

A scheme has been developed to be utilized for solving the interaction between wing aerodynamic loads and the flexibility of wing structures under a quasi static assumption. The interaction is implemented through a link between the nodes of finite element model and the grids of transonic small disturbance model. The particular finite element responses, namely translational displacement vectors (TDV), are utilised for reconstructing the deflected wing surfaces. So in each iteration, the updated surfaces are involved as the parent for regenerating the TSD grids. The criteria of the Euclidean norm is applied for evaluating the convergency of aero-structure interaction. Catia-V5, is fully employed to manage three dimensional geometries for developing the model of wing structures, calculating grids and aerodynamic loads, as well as for reconstructing the updated wing surfaces. Numerous functions and objects of Catia are employed by conducting particular accesses via component object models using Microsoft Visual Basic.Net. A case study is excersized to demonstrate the interaction in transonic speed. The results shown that the scheme is very good in the way performing the interaction in quasi static condition. The utilization of TDV for generating the deflected wing surfaces indicates the capability of high fidelity deformations with respect to the complexity of finite element model

The basis of each IT system is data exchange both between individual modules of program and between program and user. The number of exchanged data and the number of operations on the data, which should be performed, require application of professional tools allowing for collecting and performing operations on multiple types of data. One of these tools are databases, which are an essential part of any IT system. With database designing are connected many decision problems which can occur both during the construction of database management system and at the stage of integration of entire user application with developed database. The article presents typical decision problems connected with designing of databases. These problems mainly concern sphere of information technology (including the programming language or recovery mechanism of database after the failure). Database architecture for typical IT system from the point of view possible paths for users were discussed, and role of catalogues played in development of database were presented. In addition, modular structure of the database, which was developed for the system SIMMAG3D for modelling and visualization of warehouse facilities in 3D was shown. This system is being developed under a project financed by the National Centre for Research and Development. We discussed in detail one of the essential elements in developed database - catalogues of means of external and internal transport, non-mechanical equipment and accessories which are essential from the point of view of the work load.

Transport is a sector that is said to be negatively affecting the environment. The continuous development of transport increases the negative impact on the environment and civilization. In the article authors present the parameters that were used to describe the size of harmful transport exhaust emissions, in particular by means of road transport and the factors affecting their size. Pursuant to Directive 2014/94 / EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 October 2014 on the development of alternative fuels infrastructure, alternative fuels are fuels or energy sources that serve, at least partially, as a substitute for crude oil sources of energy in transport and which can potentially contribute to the decarbonisation of transport and the improvement of the environmental performance of the transport sector. In this aspect, the analysis of normative documents relevant to the use of alternative fuels in the area of transport was made. Reference was also made to the current state of the alternative fuels market as well as prospects for its development. The problems of environmental pollution by motor vehicles were presented and actions promoting electromobility in selected European countries were pointed out. The last part of the work presents the result of environmental research on the use of alternative fuels in Poland. The forecasts for electric vehicles are presented, taking into account three scenarios of their development and then, with the assumed boundary conditions, the values of pollutant emission limitations from the transport sector were estimated until 2025.
W pracy odniesiono się do zagadnienia ochrony środowiska w aspekcie rozwoju paliw alternatywnych. Zgodnie z Dyrektywą Parlamentu Europejskiego i Rady 2014/94/UE z dnia 22 października 2014 r. w sprawie rozwoju infrastruktury paliw alternatywnych, paliwa alternatywne to paliwa lub źródła energii, które służą, przynajmniej częściowo, jako substytut dla pochodzących z ropy naftowej źródeł energii w transporcie i które mogą potencjalnie przyczynić się do dekarbonizacji transportu i poprawy ekologiczności sektora transportu. W tym aspekcie dokonano analizy dokumentów normatywnych istotnych z punktu widzenia stosowania paliw alternatywnych w obszarze transportu. Odniesiono się również do obecnego stanu rynku paliw alternatywnych jak również przedstawiono perspektywy jej rozwoju. Przedstawiono problematykę zanieczyszczenia środowiska przez pojazdy samochodowe oraz wskazano na działania promujące elektromobilność w wybranych krajach europejskich. W ostatniej części pracy przedstawiono wynik badań środowiskowych w zakresie wykorzystania paliw alternatywnych w Polsce. Przedstawiono prognozy dla pojazdów elektrycznych z uwzględnieniem trzech scenariuszy ich rozwoju a następnie przy założonych warunkach brzegowych oszacowano wielkości ograniczeń emisji zanieczyszczeń z sektora transportu do roku 2025.
