Opis:
In recent years, dance-based body-movement regulated video games have been harnessed in school-based physical health activities. Such programs are used in European primary schools to help schoolchildren to be of better health. In the Greece Primary School curriculum, use of these vidoe games cover aspects of physical, emotional, social and mental functioning and well-being. Herein, the correlation between movement and emotion is evident. This study was to investigate the significance of Play Dance and its impact on primary school education in Algeria. In it, a four-week educational intervention in the field of dance was applied during school recess (morning and afternoon). The daily physical activity was administered in the form of imitating dance moves basing on the Freeze Game (Just Dance Kids 2014) modal and accounted for 10 minutes of the recess time. The sample consisted of 45 male students of the 4rth class, of primary slimani school residence of Naama, a municipality of Mecheria. Pre- and post-testing of the invested program was based on the INDARES program. Data analysis was performed by way of descriptive statistic indices, Paired Samples Correlations, and Paired Samples Test. The results showed differences between the start and end of the educational intervention. It is, hence, recommended as it engenders considerable physiological and motor improvements thst correlate with the children’s overall health.

Opis:
The article presents images of dance in Polish and Ukrainian picturebooks for children. The authors consider that motif of dance serves not only to present the culture and customs of a given society, but it is also a starting point to more profound, existential, and universal deliberations. Texts which are analyzed in the article show in a broader, psychological perspective of consideration, that dancing also represents experiences of a person and their emotions and have a special place in children’s subculture: it is a kind of play, gamble but above all it’s a ritualization of children’s behaviors, which is expressed in combination with music (a pattern of gestures and movement). The article illustrates a dance described in the literary text, to create visual images of a dance/dances, emphasizes rhythmicity of a poetic text, shows characters in motion, to enhance dynamism in the illustrations, presents shared happiness, unity or a happy ending and popularizes national culture. In conclusion article shows different functions of dance in literary texts and the pictures: 1). entertaining/ludic (includes comedy, humor, caricature portrayal of characters, strange poses of dancers); 2). emotive/ expressive (depictions of dance represent various emotions); 3). aesthetic – educational; 4). informative/cognitive.

Opis:
For centuries people have enjoyed playing. Play is an essential element of everyone’s life, not only children. This article explores own research containing: ethnographic interviews with citizens of Elk region, participant observation of children’s plays and shows by folk artists, survey with preschool and school teachers conducted during traditional play workshops for children. In addition it analyses memories from diaries and from an autobiography. The analysis is supported by examples from literature. Description of some plays gives an opportunity to find out more about everyday life in a particular region in a certain period of time. The literature shows how old are some plays, which are popular and still taught in kindergartens. It is noticed that in the past children, young people and adults had similar plays. Nowadays adults choose mainly dance events, which differ from those described in the article. Children however know and sometimes play the traditional games alongside with new ones. Considering play as a cultural phenomenon it is observed that the rules of children’s plays has not changed, only their form or contents may differ. Children have still enjoyed playing and miming the reality around them.

Opis:
The aim of this study is to assess the accuracy of repetition of dance movements and the possibilities of learning the dance arrangement by professional dancers and students of the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice (AWF) during an active video game. 13 professional dancers from the Rozrywka Theatre in Chorzów and 28 students of the AWF were examined. Accuracy of movement repetition and learning possibilities of the dance arrangement was assessed using the Kinect system cooperating with the Xbox 360 console and an interactive dance video game. The participants during the subsequent trials where learning dance moves demonstrated by a virtual teacher. The results of the tests showed that the quality of repetition of the arrangement depends both on the women’s dance experience and the number of repetitions performed. Professional dancers performed new movement acts much more accurately than students. Participants in subsequent attempts more accurately reflected the dance arrangements. This may indicate the possibility of effective learning of dance moves using an active video game.
