Opis:
In today’s scenario, recognition of pictured food dishes automatically has significant importance. During the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a decline in people visiting restaurants for their dietary requirements. So many restaurants started offering their services online. This situation caused a demand for better categorization of food into various categories on a large scale by companies that facilitated these services. It is challenging to congregate a large dataset of food categories, so it is complex to build a generalized architecture. To solve this issue, In this paper, domain-specific transfer learning is used to build the model using some standard architectures like VGGNET, RESNET, and EFFICIENTNET family, which are trained on popular benchmark datasets such as IMAGENET, COCO, etc. The similarity between the source and target datasets is calculated to find the best source dataset, and the one with the highest similarity is chosen for transfer learning. The solution proposed in this paper outperforms some of the existing works on categorizing food items.

Opis:
The purpose of this paper is to develop a dynamic thermal model of a permanent magnet excited synchronous motor (PMSM). The model estimates the temperature at specific points of the machine during operation. The model is implemented using thermal network theory, whose parameters are determined by means of analytical approaches. Usually thermal models are initialized and referenced to room temperature. However, this can lead to incorrect results, if the simulations are performed when the electrical machine operates under “warm” conditions. An approach is developed and discussed in this paper, which captures the model in critical states of the machine. The model gives feedback by online measured quantities to estimate the initial temperature. The paper provides an extended dynamic thermal model, which leads to a more accurate and more efficient thermal estimation.

Artykuł przedstawia różnice w poziomie funkcjonowania powiązań leksykalnych dwóch badanych (OB1 i OB2): OB1 – badany z ataksją rdzeniowo-móżdżkową typu 1 (SCA-1), OB2 – badany z chorobą Parkinsona (ch. P.). Metoda badania: badani podawali ustnie, bez limitu czasu skojarzenia do 63 bodźców słownych prezentowanych na ekranie komputera. Bodźce słowne pozyskano w badaniach eksperymentalnych Gatkowskiej (Gatkowska 2017). Realizacje nagrano na dyktafon cyfrowy Olympus 650, następnie zanalizowano lingwistycznie i psychologicznie. Wyniki: analiza psychologiczna – badani w normie intelektualnej (test Matryc Ravena), zaburzenia dyzartryczne, trudności w realizacji instrukcji. Analiza lingwistyczna: OB1 – przewaga relacji paradygmatycznych (hiponimii, meronimii, synonimii) nad syntagmatycznymi (trudność w budowaniu kontekstu), brak przyczynowości. OB2 ― bogatsze relacje paradygmatyczne (hiponimia, meronimia, synonimia, antonimia, komplementarność), relacje syntagmatyczne różnorodne. Wnioski: możliwe złożone podłoże zaburzeń językowych (dysfunkcje wykonawcze, emocjonalne), wyższy poziom funkcjonowania językowego OB2 niż OB1. Konieczne podejście interdyscyplinarne, holistyczne w postępowaniu diagnostyczno-terapeutycznym.
This article presents case studies of the relative ability of two subjects (OB1 and OB2) to make lexical associations; they have spinocerebellar ataxia type 1 and Parkinson’s disease, respectively. Test method: subjects gave associations (orally, with no time limit) to 63 verbal stimuli presented on a computer screen. Verbal stimuli were selected from Gatkowska’s experimental study (Gatkowska 2017). Responses were recorded on an Olympus 650 digital voice recorder, then analysed linguistically and psychologically. Results: psychological analysis – subjects within intellectual norm (Raven’s Matrices test), dysarthric disorder, difficulty in implementing instructions. Linguistic analysis: OB1 – predominance of paradigmatic relations (hyponymy, meronymy, synonymy) over syntagmatic relations (difficulty building context), lack of causality. OB2 – richer paradigmatic relations (hyponymy, meronymy, synonymy, antonymy, complementarity), syntagmatic relations diverse. Conclusions: possible complex background of anguage disorders (executive, emotional), higher level of language functioning of OB2 compared to OB1. The study illustrates the need for an interdisciplinary and holistic approach in diagnostic and therapeutic management.

Opis:
Theoretical velocities of binary liquid mixtures of 1-bromopropane with chlorobenzene at 2 MHz and four different temperatures 303.15, 308.15, 313.15 and 318.15 K, have been evaluated as a function of concentration and temperature. The experimental values are compared with theoretical models of liquid mixtures such as Nomoto, Van Dael-Vangeel, Impedance Relation, Rao’s Specific Velocity Method, Junjie’s relations and Free Length Theory. In the chosen system there is a good agreement between experimental and theoretical values calculated by Nomoto’s theory. The deviation in the variation of U2exp/ U2imx from unity has also been evaluated for explaining the non ideality in the mixtures. The results are explained in terms of intermolecular interactions occurring in these binary liquid mixtures.

Opis:
Ultrasonic velocities (U), densities (ρ), and coefficient of viscosities (η) are measured for binary mixtures containing (i) p-chlorotoluene and (ii) benzene at 303.15 K, 308.15 K, 313.15 K and 318.15 K to understand the molecular interaction. Various acoustical parameters such as adiabatic compressibility (βad), free length (Lf), acoustic impedance (Z), free volume (Vf), molar volume (Vm), Rao’s constant (R), Wada’s constant (W) and internal pressure (πi), are calculated from the measured values of U, ρ, and η. The trend in acoustical parameters also substantiates to asses strong molecular interactions.

Opis:
Some data of the physical properties of ginkgo nuts at a moisture content of 45.53% (±2.07) (wet basis) and of their kernels at 60.13% (± 2.00) (wet basis) are presented in this paper. It consists of the estimation of the mean length, width, thickness, the geometric mean diameter, sphericity, aspect ratio, unit mass, surface area, volume, true density, bulk density, and porosity measures. The coefficient of static friction for nuts and kernels was determined by using plywood, glass, rubber, and galvanized steel sheet. The data are essential in the field of food engineering especially dealing with design and development of machines, and equipment for processing and handling agriculture products.

The article contains an analysis of two philosophical concepts of trace and the blink of an eye. Referring to philosophy (by Derrida, Husserl, Harman, Heidegger, Ricoeur and Tylor), the author interprets the theme terms, confronting them against the thought within the theory of literature. The purpose is not, however, the indicated values as such, but their interpretative force, aimed at literary works. Texts by Calvin, Jasieński, Macsovszky, Schulz and Tabucchi are read with certain phenomena in mind (the blink of an eye, trace, epiphany and void), and the conclusion emphasises the value of paradoxical thinking.
Artykuł dokonuje analizy dwóch kategorii filozoficznych: śladu i okamgnienia. Odwołując się do filozofii (J. Derridy, E. Husserla, G. Harmana, M. Heideggera, P. Ricouera i Ch. Tylora) autor interpretuje tytułowe pojęcia, zderzając je z myślą teoretycznoliteracką. Celem nie są jednak wskazane jakości same w sobie, lecz ich moc interpretacyjna skierowana na utwory literackie. Lekturze (związanej z okamgnieniością i śladem, epifanią oraz pustką) zostały poddane teksty I. Calvina, B. Jasieńskiego, P. Macsovszky’ego, B. Schulza i A. Tabucchiego. W konkluzji zostaje podkreślona wartość myślenia paradoksalnego.

Opis:
A novel method of immobilizing horse radish peroxidase enzyme (HRP) onto the surface of gold nanoparticles (GNPs) was developed. As a result, a high-activity bionanoconjugates was obtained through utilizing the biotin-streptavidin (SA) system. The HRP-SA-GNP bionanoconjugate with high activity was conveniently prepared through the biotin- avidin system. Compared with the HRP-GNP bioconjugate prepared through the traditional electrostatic absorption method, the enzyme activity per GNPs of this new bionanoconjugate was enhanced by 10 times. Moreover, the enzyme activity of this bionanoconjugate was controllable. The above method of bionanoconjugation preparation has promising applications In the fi elds including preparing highly active bio-nanoprobe and immobilized enzyme.

Carbon dioxide removal is crucial step during natural gas processing, as CO2 is highly corrosive in presence of water. There are natural gas sources around the world with very high carbon dioxide content that cannot be developed. In order to design the effective CO2 removal process, properties of methane-carbon dioxide mixtures has to be determined. Authors have investigated thermodynamic properties of CH4-CO2 mixtures. Extended Peng-Robinson equations were used to determine the phase equilibrium of CH4-CO2 systems of different compositions.

The static magnetization measurements and relaxation of magnetization data for two Cd$\text{}_{1-x}$Mn$\text{}_{x}$S samples with different composition are presented. The magnetization is described by the modified Brillouin function. The magnetization relaxation shows unusual composition dependence. This behavior is explained by cross-relaxation to the unknown fast relaxing centers introduced during growth.

Purpose: To examine the impacts of burnout that has in health-related quality of life (QOL) in nursing staff in Greece. The association of social support with burnout and QOL is also investigated. Materials and methods: Individuals working in Mental and General Hospitals in the broader area of Athens participated in this study (N.139). The measurement tools include a) the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), b) the SF-36 Health Survey and c. the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support. Burnout and QOL are expected to be related to the evaluation of social environment. Results: The results indicated the impacts that burnout has on quality of life and the positive effect of social support for nursing professionals in the levels of burnout. Conclusions: There is an association between burnout, quality of life and social support. Social support and socio-demographic factors appear to affect the levels of burnout to Psychiatric and General Hospital.

Introduction: Aging is accompanied by several physiological and psychological changes in the organism of an individual (e.g., decreased sense of taste and smell, disruption of satiety, depression), which affect the nutritional intake. Purpose: The purpose of this retrospective study is to highlight the nutritional habits of elderly people. Materials and methods: Extensive review of the recent literature in electronic databases (Pub med, Google scholar) and journals. Exclusion criterion for the articles was the language than the Greek and English. Results: The increase life expectancy is important to be accompanied by physical and mental health, quality of life and, where possible, from participation in social, economic, cultural and spiritual life. Adopting healthy dietary patterns, combined with daily physical activity, and factors such as avoiding smoking, could help considerably in reaching these goals. The physical and psychological changes occurring during aging may adversely affect nutritional status. Instead, a proper diet can positively influence the physical and emotional state of elderly people. Conclusions: Diet and generally nutrition habits of the elderly play an important role in their health.

Opis:
The p’ansori performance represents one of the three main genres of traditional Korean theatre. It was presented by professional singers (kwangdae), who told an epic story taken from shamanic songs, folk stories and classic literature. P’ansori began to develop at the end of the 17th century and over the next two centuries was passed down in the oral tradition. Artistic practice was undermined in the second half of the 19th century by Sin Chae-hyo (1812-1884), who wrote down a few p’ansori and was the first to formulate its theoretical principles. He depicted four basic artistic components of p’ansori, including “acting talent” (nŏ’rŭmsae), “vocal talent” (tŭg’ŭm), “narrative talent” (sasŏl ch’ire) and “presence” (inmul ch’ire). Considered as key components, they were presented in the poetic work by Sin Chae-hyo, entitled Kwangdae ka (Song of the actor, around 1875). The main purpose of this article is to identify and define the components that constitute the artistic essence of p’ansori theatre.
