The main focus of my research lies within the psychology of human development, especially in late adulthood. There are many reasons why psychologists are interested in climate change. One of the fathers of modern medicine, Hippocrates, proclaimed that the climate affects the mood (liquids) existing in the human body. I wrote an article about climate change and its relationship to the psychological functioning of people in old age. As we enter adulthood, the new generation will severely experience increasingly extreme weather events. Already this phenomenon is more frequent than several decades ago and takes a deadly toll. Heat waves will be more frequent and so the children and older people will be often exposed to that phenomenon. It may have a detrimental effect on those in the declining period of their lives. In my opinion, an important question is to what extent modern living should (in a moral sense) limit the current consumption of many goods because of the duty to care for the standard of living and its quality and the interests of people who will live in the future.

In the paper numerical analysis of the liquid energy regarding the spray nozzle jet parameters optimisation for a cleaning process has been presented. Special attention has been paid to the comparison between the energy contained in the stream of liquid going out from a nozzle, and the energy needed to remove fouling at the surface. In the example a lot of parameters influencing those energies have been taken into account. It has been found that the proposed analysis of the liquid energy and the energy needed for cleaning is an adequate description of geometry and parameters of equipment and devices, especially in the Clean In Point (CIP) systems.

The delivered model is a multi-phase and includes both submerged part of ship’s hull and the surrounding water as a unique body. The Discrete Finite Element Method is applied. The ship operability can be understood and analysed in different manners, and its quality is described using different indexes by different authors. Practically, there is no general and widely accepted description of total ship operability in the literature, nor in the rules of classification societies, which would include both seakeeping and manoeuvrability characteristics of a ship, and simultaneously take into account all ship subsystems and, what is most important, comfort and safety of people on board. The aim of this paper is to propose a general definition of total ship operability and name, adjust, describe and justify criteria which should be considered in the ship operability analysis, as well as to provide a relevant algorithm paving the road for further investigation on total ship operability determination.

An original method of skeletal system modelling is presented in detail. Using DICOM images obtained from CT and PET tests, shell models of nine bones were created (humerus, radius, ulna, scapula, clavicle, femur, tibia, fibula, pelvis). Two methods of bone behaviour are also proposed, the first method treating the bone as a solid structure and the second method treating the bone as a complex porous structure. The behaviour of model parts is numerically examined by using the finite element method.
W artykule opisano autorską metodę modelowania układu szkieletowego. Stosując zdjęcia DICOM otrzymane z badania CT i PET, utworzono dziewięć modeli powłokowych kości (kości ramiennej, kości promieniowej, kości łokciowej, łopatki, obojczyka, kości udowej, kości piszczelowej, kości strzałkowej i miednicy). Zaproponowano dwie metody modelowania zachowania kości. Zgodnie z pierwsza metoda kość jest traktowana jako bryła jednorodna, zgodnie z druga metoda - jako złożona struktura porowata. Zachowanie składowych części modelu zostało numerycznie przebadane, stosując metodę elementów skończonych.

W artykule przedstawiono metodykę opracowaną w celu redukcji modelu fizycznego tribometru z ciągłym rozkładem masy (bezwładności), sztywności podparcia oraz tłumienia do modelu dyskretnego. W modelu dyskretnym zastosowano zastępcze masy skupione i elementy sprężysto-tłumiące, których właściwości są dobrane w taki sposób, że charakterystyka drgań własnych tego modelu odpowiada charakterystyce rzeczywistego układu fizycznego. Dzięki dyskretyzacji modelu uzyskano możliwość prowadzenia w środowisku pakietu Simulink symulacji zachowania układu w różnych warunkach wymuszeń (obciążenie, prędkość) i dla różnych, charakterystyk tarcia. Model jest narzędziem do weryfikacji wyników badań tarcia.
In the paper a method for the creation of a discreet dynamic model of a tribometer with the influence of the tested friction phenomena included was presented. The distribution of inertia, stifness and damping are considered and substituted with the use of Rigid Finite Element Method with the effect of recreating the frequency response of the real system within the model. The Simulink package environment for ease of modification and development of the model components, as well as rapid computation of each problem case. The model will serve as an aid to the intrpretation of experiments on dynamic friction and for pre – experiment tribometer dynamic tune up.

W pracy badano wpływ rekonstrukcji naprawczych turbozespołu energetycznego dużej mocy na jego dynamiczne charakterystyki - częstości i postacie drgań własnych. W obliczeniach uwzględniono wpływ gruntu, w którym osadzona jest dolna płyta fundamentu. Wyniki symulacji komputerowych porównano z dynamicznymi charakterystykami turbozespołu i jego fundamentu wyznaczonymi eksperymentalnie. Przedmiotem badań był turbozespół energetyczny AEG TG-A w elektrowni Pomorzany.
Influence constructional changes of high power turbo set on dynamical characteristics - natural frequencies and natural forms were analyzed in this paper. Influence of soil together with lower plate of foundation was included in calculations. Results of computer simulations were compared with dynamical characteristics of turbo set and turbine set foundation experimental specified. High power turbine set AEG TG-A at power plant Pomorzany was object of the analysis.

Objectives. The aim of this study was to discover the relationship between the performance of different mechanical movements of rowers, and define its effect on the motor programs of the cyclic movement in athletes living in rural and urban areas. Materials and method. Twenty-two male rowers participated in the experiment using a rowing ergometer (Concept2, USA). The experiment consisted of 3 tests examining the maximal power of the pull-ups (MPbpu). The movement mechanogram was registered with a specialized complex Noraxon’s 3D MyoMotion (Noraxon Inc., USA). The software of the complex allowed calculation of the values of the joint angles from the accelerometer data. The Origin Lab 8.5 program was used for the mathematical and statistical processing of the signals from the mechanograms. Results. It was found that all experiment participants had a stepped controlled increase in the power of single bar pull-ups leading to a corresponding proportional increase in the frequency of rowing – test 1 and, conversely, a stepped controlled increase in the rowing frequency accompanied by a proportional increase in the power of the bar pull-ups – test 2. The involuntary dependence of the power and the rate was due to the peculiarities of the central cyclic movement programming, according to which the forces and durations of the active and passive bar pull-ups phases were interconnected and regulated together. The voluntary power-rate dependence control led to the breakdown of these links in the motor program of cyclic movements and to the separate control of these parameters. Conclusions. Motor programs in cyclic movement may be created in the same pattern in tope level sport and recreation, as well in different environmental conditions – gym halls (movement simulators), professional and recreational water sport tracks.

Działania promocyjno-edukacyjne, do których można zaliczyć promocję zdrowia oraz edukację zdrowotną, stanowią integralną część działań podejmowanych przez podmioty środowiskowego modelu opieki psychiatrycznej. Promocja zdrowia jest procesem polegającym na umożliwianiu ludziom zwiększania wpływu na własne zdrowie i jego poprawę, zaś edukacja zdrowotna pozwala na przekazanie wiedzy, jak dbać o zdrowie. Dodatkowo, promocja zdrowia jest często łączona z działaniami o charakterze prewencji psychologicznej. W artykule zwrócono szczególną uwagę na promocję zdrowia psychicznego. Ponadto nakreślono rolę i zadania asystentów zdrowienia w środowiskowym modelu opieki psychiatrycznej oraz ich udział w środowiskowych działaniach profilaktyczno-promocyjnych. Wskazano również na efekty i perspektywy dla rozwoju działań promocyjno-edukacyjnych. 
Promotional and educational activities, which may include health promotion and health education, constitute an integral part of activities undertaken by entities of the environmental model of psychiatric care. Health promotion is a process of enabling people to increase their influence on their own health and its improvement, and health education allows for the transfer of knowledge on how to take care of health. Additionally, health promotion is often combined with psychological prevention activities. The article pays particular attention to the promotion of mental health. Moreover, the role and tasks of recovery assistants in the community model of psychiatric care and their participation in community preventive and promotional activities were outlined. The effects and prospects for the development of promotional and educational activities were also indicated.
