Opis:
The spectrum of a selfadjoint quadratic operator pencil of the form [formula] is investigated where M ≥ 0, G ≥ 0 are bounded operators and A is selfadjoint bounded below is investigated. It is shown that in the case of rank one operator G the eigenvalues of such a pencil are of two types. The eigenvalues of one of these types are independent of the operator G. Location of the eigenvalues of both types is described. Examples for the case of the Sturm-Liouville operators A are given. Keywords: q

In this article the periodic signal detection method on the base of Duffing system chaotic oscillations analysis is presented. This work is a development of the chaos-based signal detection technique. Generally, chaos-based signal detection is the detection of chaotic-to-periodic state transition under input periodic component influence. If the in¬put periodic component reaches certain threshold value, the system transforms from chaotic state to periodic state. The Duffing-type chaotic systems are often used for such a signal detection purpose because of their ability to work in chaotic state for a long time and relatively simple realization. The main advantage of chaos-based signal detection methods is the utilization of chaotic system sensitivity to weak signals. But such methods are not used in practice because of the chaotic system state control problems. The method presented does not require an exact system state control. The Duffing system works continuously in chaotic state and the periodic signal detection process is based on the analysis of Duffing system Poincare map fractal structure. This structure does not depend on noise, and therefore the minimum input signal-to-noise ratio required for periodic signal detection is not limited by chaotic system state control tolerance.

Opis:
The fractional model of the electrochemical capacitor (EC) relaxation phenomenon is presented herein. The EC relaxation phenomenon occurs when EC impedance measurements are performed after charge or discharge current interruption during potential relaxation. The EC fractional model is obtained based on the fractional order transfer function, obtained in turn by means of fitting the EC impedance data. The inverse Laplace transform is used to obtain the EC impulse response. Meanwhile, the EC charge and discharge simulations are performed using the EC impulse response.

Opis:
Spatial changes of optical properties of bulk LiNbO₃ crystal were investigated after annealing in CuO powder. The incorporation of copper ions into the crystal was confirmed by registration of additional absorption spectra that revealed formation of the absorption bands of both Cu⁺ (400 nm) and Cu²⁺ (1000 nm) ions. The changes of optical absorption caused by thermal treatment were registered along the direction of diffusion by the probe beam perpendicular to this direction. The anisotropy of diffusion was revealed. The maxima were observed on the depth dependences of additional absorption both for the wavelengths of 400 and 1000 nm for all main crystallographic directions. The concentrations of copper ions were calculated in accordance with the Smakula-Dexter formula. The X-ray diffraction study revealed reflexes which probably belong to CuNb₂O₆, CuNbO₃ and CuO. The halo was observed on these diffraction patterns that confirms the formation of the scattering centers (about 1 nm in diameter) in the near-surface region.

Opis:
Theoretical analysis of the ferro-elastic domain structure of a $La_{0.95}Sr_{0.05}Ga_{0.9}Mg_{0.1}O_{2.925}$ crystal in three different crystallographic phases is presented. Parameters of these configurations are obtained using group theoretical approach, the method of spontaneous deformation as well as theoretical interpretation of twinning resulting from mechanical deformation (mechanical twinning theory). In the three phases of $La_{0.95}Sr_{0.05}Ga_{0.9}Mg_{0.1}O_{2.95}$ - trigonal, orthorhombic and monoclinic - the parameters of ferro-elastic domain structures are determined; namely the quantity of orientation states, symmetry elements of connection between states, orientations and types of domain walls, tensors of spontaneous deformations of the perovskite-type cells for every orientation state, elements of twin shifts, which are needed for the reorientation of some orientation states to others. By using the found parameters of bidomain configurations a mechanism is proposed, which causes chevron-like domain configurations in compounds with martensitic phase transitions.
