The aim of this paper is to identify the importance of the knowledge economy in the growth of the build awareness and competence of the students in the management of finances in the current, constantly changing environment. Design development was subject to the hypothesis in accordance with that – there is a relationship of the knowledge economy and the increase of awareness and competence of the younger generation in achieving financial stability and their independence. This problem will be implemented using the analysis of the state of the knowledge economy university students of Rzeszów on individual economic areas. Method applied research area is anonymous questionnaire survey addressed directly using a survey to students study desktop and portable exams I and II degree.

The use of composite materials in the construction of hydraulic cylinders allows for a significant reduction in the weight of the element while maintaining its operating parameters. One of the issues to be solved at the design stage is to ensure the tightness of the cylinder and the correct cooperation of the cylinder with the piston. Four materials that can be used as internal coatings in such composite cylinders were selected in the work. Preliminary tests using the ball-on-disk method and observation of signs of wear were carried out using an optical microscope and SEM. After testing, materials for further studies were selected.
Wykorzystanie materiałów kompozytowych w konstrukcji siłowników hydraulicznych pozwala na znaczne zmniejszenie masy elementu, przy jednoczesnym zachowaniu jego parametrów pracy. Jednym z zagadnień, które trzeba rozwiązać na etapie projektowym, jest zapewnienie szczelności cylindra oraz prawidłowej współpracy cylindra z tłokiem. W pracy wytypowano cztery materiały mogące znaleźć zastosowanie jako powłoki wewnętrzne w takich kompozytowych cylindrach. Przeprowadzono badania wstępne metodą ball on disk oraz obserwacje śladów zużycia przy wykorzystaniu mikroskopu optycznego oraz SEM. Po przeprowa¬dzeniu prób wytypowano materiały, które wykorzystane zostaną w dalszych badaniach.

Osobą odpowiedzialną za realizację procesu zarządzania w organizacji (przedsiębiorstwie) jest menedżer, który każdego dnia podejmuje decyzje. Menedżer musi zdawać sobie sprawę, że jedne decyzje podejmuje się szybciej (decyzje rutynowe), a drugie decyzje muszą być przemyślane (decyzje nierutynowe). Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie kilku modeli podejmowania decyzji ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem zintegrowanego modelu podejmowania decyzji. W opracowaniu przyjęto następującą hipotezę badawczą: zintegrowany model podejmowania decyzji jest gwarantem optymalnego podjęcia decyzji przez menedżera. Artykuł ma charakter teoretyczny i został oparty na studium literatury przedmiotu.
The person responsible for the implementation of the management process in the organisation (enterprise) is the manager who makes decisions every day. The manager must be aware that some decisions are made faster (routine decisions) and other decisions must be well thought out (non-routine decisions). The aim of the article is to present several decision-making models with particular emphasis on the integrated decision-making model. The following research hypothesis was adopted in the study: an integrated model of decision-making guarantees optimal decision-making by a manager. The paper is theoretical and based on the study of the literature on the subject.

Kultura organizacyjna jest pierwotnym źródłem zmian w organizacji. Jedną ze zmian jest implementowanie do organizacji ekorozwoju, którą można wdrożyć i kształtować między innymi poprzez ekorozwojową kulturę organizacyjną. Celem opracowania jest przedstawienie wyników badań ekorozwojowej kultury organizacyjnej przedsiębiorstw województwa świętokrzyskiego. W niniejszym opracowaniu przyjęto dwie hipotezy badawcze w postaci: — HB (1) ekorozwojowa kultura organizacyjna przedsiębiorstw opiera się na różnorodności czynników ją tworzących; — HB (2) ekorozwojowa kultura organizacyjna to miękkie implementowanie ekorozwoju do przedsiębiorstwa. Opracowanie posiada charakter teoretyczno-empiryczny wraz z prezentowanym autorskim modelem wynikającym z badań. Przedstawione wyniki badań w niniejszym opracowaniu pochodzą z badań statutowych nr 614567 pt. Ekorozwojowy trójkąt relacji rozwoju regionu determinantą lokalizacji przedsiębiorstw, których kierownikiem był Michał Adam Leśniewski z Uniwersytetu Jana Kochanowskiego w Kielcach.
Organizational culture is the primary source of changes in the organization. One of the changes is to implement a sustainable development organization that can be implemented and developed inter alia by eco-developmental organizational culture. The aim of the study is to present the results of research eco-developmental organizational culture of enterprises of Świętokrzyskie province. In this study, two hypotheses are adopted in the form of: HB (1) eco-developmental organizational culture of enterprises is based on the diversity of factors that create it and HB (2) eco-developmental organizational culture is a soft implementation of eco-development to the enterprise. The study is of a theoretical and empirical nature together with the presented copyright model resulting from the research. The presented research results in this study come from statutory research No. 614567 entitled The sustainable development triangle of the region’s development is determined by the location of enterprises, whose head was Michał Adam Leśniewski from the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce.

Eco-development is the humans’ reaction to the adverse changes taking place in the natural environment. These changes are the result of the too extensive development of the organisations, which is not adjusted to the natural environment. Polluted environment equals polluted organisations. Humans’ reaction to the transformations taking place in the natural environment is the eco-development, on which you can look in the broad and narrow sense of the word. One of the ideas grasping the eco-development in detail is an original concept of Eco-developmental Triangle of Relations of Enterprises’ Development. The aim of the study is to present the original concept of the Eco-developmental Triangle of Relations of Enterprises’ Development. Two research hypotheses were adapted in the study. Hypothesis 1: The company in its development is guided by eco-developmental orientation, Hypothesis 2: Triangle of Relations of Enterprises’ Development in the form including Innovation, Competitiveness and Entrepreneurship takes the eco-developmental form as Eco-developmental Innovation, Eco-developmental Competitiveness, Eco-developmental Entrepreneurship which, as a result, contributes to the Eco-developmental Triangle of Relations of Enterprises’ Development. The following elaboration, apart from the empirical verification (surveys), is also based on the study of literature of the subject along with methods of interpretation of literature and methods of interpretation of survey results.

Celem opracowania jest przedstawienie kulturowego modelu menedżera bezpieczeństwa wraz z czynnikiem elastyczności. Model jest wynikiem badań teoretyczno-koncepcyjnych autora niniejszego opracowania, które wzbogaca dyscyplinę nauk o zarządzaniu i jakości.
The variability of the external environment affects the changes taking place in the internal environment of the organization (enterprise). One of the factors that must be taken into account in the development of an organization is security. Ensuring the security of the organization requires having a security manager who will implement the process of a permanent stable functioning of the organization in a changing environment. It should be remembered that security can be considered from various points of view, not only as a state of war or peace in a given country, but also as a state of threat from competitors, etc. The aim of the study is to present a cultural model of a security manager with a factor of flexibility. The model is the result of theoretical and conceptual research by the author of this study, which enriches the discipline of management and quality sciences.

Nowoczesny menedżer to osoba zarządzająca grupą ludzi, kompetentny, posiadający umiejętności organizacyjne, sięgający po oryginalne metody usprawniające skuteczność i efektywność zarządzania oraz kierująca się podejściem humanitarnym do pracowników (zarządzanie humanistyczne). Menedżer, zarządzanie przez cele oraz konkurencyjność stanowią zwarty „obraz” aktywnego uczestniczenia w procesie konkurencji. Celem opracowania jest przedstawienie znaczenia menedżera w zarządzaniu przez cele w powiązaniu z konkurencyjnością przedsiębiorstwa.
Changes in the external and the internal environment of the organization have contributed to the evolution of the role of the manager, and thus to the creation of their new image. The modern manager is a person who manages a group of people. They are knowledgeable, have excellent organizational skills, strive for more original methods to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of managing. What drives them is a humanitarian approach to workers (humanistic concept of management). A manager and management by objectives and competitiveness constitute “the picture" of active participation in the competition process. The aim of this study is to present the importance of the manager in the management by objectives in relation to the competitiveness of an enterprise.

In conditions of changeable environment business management is subjected to numerous influences of various factors which must find their position in the business entity, so that it can be competitive with other entities, market participants. The competitiveness and the natural environment are some of the areas of the development of the enterprise. One does not exclude the other, on the contrary they constitute a coherent whole. The aim of this paper is to present the importance of eco‑developmental awareness in the competitiveness of soft enterprises. The first thesis asserts that the eco‑developmental awareness is shaped through soft factors and hard factors. The second thesis states that the eco‑developmental awareness is a storage factor and a permeation factor of the soft competitiveness of enterprises which in turn results in the formation of the soft competitiveness of sustainable development of enterprises and behavioral eco‑developmental competitive advantage.

Safety is a problem that every organization that wants to shape its competitiveness must be able to face in order to maintain its advantage on the market. Safety culture is a determinant of an organisation operating in the second decade of the 21st century. Tematem artykułu są wyprawy Europejczyków do Afryki w XIX wieku. Impuls do metodycznej eksploracji kontynentu dało utworzenie w 1788 roku Brytyjskiego Towarzystwa Afrykańskiego i egipska wyprawa Napoleona Bonaparte w 1798 roku. Paryskie Towarzystwo Geograficzne, powstałe w 1821 roku, i brytyjskie Królewskie Towarzystwo Geograficzne, założone w 1830 roku sponsorowały większość wypraw odkrywczych i rozpowszechniały informacje o ich efektach. Działalność ta w ogromnym stopniu upowszechniła wiedzę o kontynencie i rozsławiły podróżników: Anglika Davida Livingstona i Amerykanina Henry Mortona Stanleya. Po latach odkryć i badań kontynentu rozpoczęła się ekspansja kolonializmu. Zmianę stosunku państw europejskich do Afryki symbolizowała konferencja berlińska (1884-1885), podczas której podzielono strefy wpływów w basenie rzeki Kongo.

During the last two decades of the 19th century Africa played crucial role in European policy of Balance of Power. It was also an important factor in up keeping tranquillity in Europe. The Scramble for Africa gave the European powers a chance of realizing their imperial ambitions without a risk of pan-European conflict. Therefore during 1880s Germany supported French colonial ambitions, hoping that France would abandon the revenge against Germany. Even weaker states, as Belgium or Italy, could realize there their ambitions. That was a case at least until the end of the 19th century. In a way it was a similar situation as with the proxy wars of 1960s. At the same time, thanks to the technological advances, the expansion in Africa was a cheap kind of imperialism. It allowed European powers and states to realize their ambitions without great financial and human costs.
