    Opis:
    The article is an attempt of analysis and interpretation of the “Young Poland“ comedy written by Włodzimierz Perzyński in psychopathological or psychoanalytical perspective. The author draws reader’s attention to artistic achievements of Włodzimierz Perzyński who was a Polish novelist, comedy writer, columnist and poet, satirist and ironist and he died eighty years ago. The article is informally built out of two parts: Michel Foucault’s cultural criticism is a context of the first part, in the second one the author uses � � � � � � �general psychoanalytical theories of � � Sigmund Freud and Karen Horney. A neurotic personality, neurotic disturbances in the relations between people and activities of individuals in the different social situations are an object of analysis and interpretation. The author discussing one of the most famous Perzyński’s comedies tries to show that the Polish writer’s plays are interesting and opening a lot of perspectives of interpretation.

    Opis:
    Bernard Shaw’s Plays Pleasant are an example of realization of convention of realistic social dramaturgy as well as a proof of a serious reflection on condition and construction of the institution of marriage and the family of Victorian era. You Never Can Tell which is an object of analyses in this article raises the question of dramatization of behaviours of individuals, masks worn by individuals because of social situations, a strategy of seduction (social life as drama/game). The institution of marriage functions as an object of critique, a tool in the games between sexes and as an object of affirmation. The “duel of sexes” is the key problem of comedy. Bernard Shaw presents the mechanism of arousing of desire as well as demonstrating that love is a form of game and desire is the basic experience in the construction of human identity.

    The article is placed in the scope of research of classical studies, drama and theatre studies, and cultural studies. It is an attempt of social interpretation of Aristophanes’ Assemblywomen. Utopia, matriarchy, cultural identity of sex or stereotypes of women and men are the main questions raised in the article. An utopian project of matriarchy created in the old-Greek comedy is a basic object of interpretation. The author employs propositions of interpretation submitted by Angus M. Bowie, Gwendolyn Compton-Engle, Jerzy Łanowski, Kenneth M. De Luca, Kenneth S. Rothwell. Assemblywomen shows that a big idea which could create wealth of society can be easily metamorphosed into its opposition. It should be said that Aristophanes’ theatre achievements supplement modern social and cross-cultural research and are important and attractive texts for demanding readers/spectators of any time.

    Praca dotyczy podejścia do parametryzacji w przypadku klasyfikacji emocji w śpiewie oraz porównania z klasyfikacją emocji w mowie. Do tego celu wykorzystano bazę mowy i śpiewu nacechowanego emocjonalnie RAVDESS (Ryerson Audio-Visual Database of Emotional Speech and Song), zawierającą nagrania profesjonalnych aktorów prezentujących sześć różnych emocji. Następnie obliczono współczynniki mel-cepstralne (MFCC) oraz wybrane deskryptory niskopoziomowe MPEG 7. W celu selekcji cech, posiadających najlepsze wyniki rankingowe, wykorzystano las drzew. Następnie dokonano klasyfikacji emocji z za pomocą maszyny wektorów nośnych (SVM, Support Vector Machine). Stwierdzono, że parametryzacja skuteczna dla mowy nie jest skuteczna dla śpiewu. Wyznaczono podstawowe parametry, które zgodnie z otrzymanymi wynikami pozwalają na znaczną redukcję wymiarowości wektorów cech, jednocześnie podnosząc skuteczność klasyfikacji.
    This paper concerns the approach to parameterization for the classification of emotions in singing and comparison with the classification of emotions in speech. For this purpose, the RAVDESS database containing emotional speech and song was used. This database contains recordings of professional actors presenting six different emotions. Next, Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients and selected Low-Level MPEG 7 descriptors were calculated. Using the algorithm of Feature Selection based on a Forest of Trees, coefficients, and descriptors with the best ranking results were determined. Then, the emotions were classified using the Support Vector Machine. The classification was repeated several times, and the results were averaged. It was found that descriptors used for emotion detection in speech are not as useful for singing. Basic parameters for singing were determined which, according to the obtained results, allow for a significant reduction in the dimensionality of feature vectors while increasing the classification efficiency of emotion detection.
