- Opis:
- The penetrating interpretation of pieśń o niedobrej burzy presented by Kopciński is directed against conventional readings of the poet's folk stylisation of his poems. At the same time analysis of the structure and semantic layer of the poem becomes a point of departure for considerations of the figure of the 'upturned hanged one' hidden in Czechowicz's poetry, which − as the author claims − is a projection of vision-creating activities by the poet himself put down in a series of poems. As a consequence the article presents a number of apt statements concerning Józef Czechowicz's poetic outlook, which is recognised by the author as 'symbolism of an empty cosmos and existential emaciation'. Kopciński's original interpretation, while it remains an exegesis of one poem, it also determines an interesting research horizon for the poet's whole output.
