Opis:
Te article describes the regional variations in the use of the Internet in primary, lower-secondary and secondary schools in Podlaskie and Mazowieckie provinces. School sites were analyzed in terms of functionality, standards and the use of new forms and methods of creating the image of the website. Te results showed diferent levels of the use of Internet technologies and the opportunities associated with them. What surprises is the minimal degree of utilization of two-way communication with the available tools and programs designed for this purpose.

Opis:
The paper is dedicated to assessing elements of a technical nature, including multimedia ones, which are generally applied in training and education implemented in the form of distance learning. The objective of the study was to enhance the quality of e-learning training by finding out to which elements of the educational course should particular attention be paid to make sure that they meet expectations of their participants. The study was carried out on the basis of two training courses addressed at fire protection specialists organised in the Main School of Fire Service. In the paper use was made of the method of diagnostic survey conducted based on the auditorium questionnaire with the use of the survey questionnaire tool. The obtained data were subjected to a statistical analysis, including the r-Pearson correlation coefficient and the significance of inter-group differences. Based on the drawn conclusions a presumption may be made that if a bigger number of options of a technical nature are offered during the training course, including multimedia ones, this considerably enhances the satisfaction of training participants. Given the obtained results it is crucial to find how to make the training more attractive to its participants, and consequently to convince tchem to use the offered options as frequently as possible, such as for example an automatic lecturer or the possibility of executing additional tests to verify one’s knowledge. This type of activity contributes to meeting expectations of training participants, and also to positive perceiving of the distance education method as one that is highly effective.
Artykuł poświęcony jest ocenie elementow o charakterze technicznym, w tym multimedialnych, które wykorzystywane są w szkoleniach realizowanych metodą nauczania zdalnego. Celem badań było podniesienie jakości szkoleń e-learningowych poprzez znalezienie odpowiedzi na pytanie, na jakie elementy kursu należy zwrocić szczególną uwagę, aby spełniały one oczekiwania ich uczestników? Badania przeprowadzono w oparciu o dwa szkolenia specjalistów ochrony przeciwpożarowej zrealizowane w Szkole Głownej Służbie Pożarniczej. W pracy posłużono się metodą sondażu diagnostycznego przeprowadzonego techniką ankiety audytoryjnej z wykorzystaniem narzędzia kwestionariusza ankiety. Uzyskane dane poddano analizie statystycznej, w tym korelacji współczynnika r-Pearsona oraz istotności rożnic międzygrupowych. Uzyskane wnioski wskazują na fakt, że większa liczba zastosowanych podczas kursu opcji o charakterze technicznym, w tym multimedialnych, pozwala na zwiększenie satysfakcji uczestnikow kursu. W świetle uzyskanych wynikow istotnym staje się problem, jak uatrakcyjnić kurs, a tym samym przekonać kursantów do możliwie częstego stosowania dostępnych opcji, takich jak np. automatyczny lektor czy możliwość wykonywania dodatkowych zadań sprawdzających wiedzę. Tego typu aktywność przekłada się na spełnienie oczekiwań uczestnikow szkolenia, a także na pozytywne postrzeganie metody nauczania zdalnego jako efektywnej metody kształcenia.

W artykule przybliżono problem konieczności ochrony prywatności młodzieży w internecie, zwłaszcza w zakresie używania mediów społecznościowych. Prowadzone przez „cyfrowych tubylców” życie wirtualne bardzo często pozbawione jest odpowiedniej refleksji na temat możliwych skutków zbyt pochopnie odkrywanej sfery prywatnej ich życia. Autor zwraca uwagę na najważniejsze zagrożenia i wyzwania w zakresie bezpieczeństwa w sieci, z jakim spotkać może się młody użytkownik internetu. Podkreśla również konieczność odpowiedniej edukacji medialnej w tym zakresie.
The article presents the problem of the need of protection of the privacy of young people on the Internet, particularly with regard to the use of social media. The virtual life of „digital natives” often lacks adequate reflection on the possible effects of the private sphere of their lives being exposed too hastily. The author draws attention to the key threats and challenges of safety on the Web, which can be met by the young Internet user. The need for appropriate media education in this field is also emphasized.

School health education is supposed to be aimed at taking actions based on the concept of positive health and good well-being but its scope is extending due to socio – cultural changes. Nowadays virtual world is becoming a part of the social reality and is perceived as an important socialization factor. For this reason Internet use should be treated as one of the health education areas as it influences psychosocial health and wellbeing of individuals. The article presents the Polish educational system and the place of health education in core curriculum. This issues constitute a theoretical framework for reporting the findings of research, which were aimed at determining the behaviours of Polish pupils undertaken in virtual space. The main goal of the research was to establish the influence of these behaviours on physical and psychosocial health as well as wellbeing of respondents. A similar studies were conducted by Sonia Livingstone, Michał Klichowski and Maciej Tanaś. The research proved the strong engagement of pupils surveyed in all types of Internet activities, which had an impact on occurring disorders of many areas of functioning (e.g. back pains, visual problems, tiredness, anxiety, insomnia, learning difficulties, social problems). The findings justified the urgent need to include the issues regarding safe and healthy behaviours undertaken in cyber space in health education curriculum. In conclusion some guidelines for educational practice have been formulated.

The paper presents the new new media as a contemporary and dominant space in children's lives. Most children begin to use the Internet when they are a few years old, for example, while watching cartoons. The online world can be both an opportunity and a threat to young users. The aim of the research was to determine whether children's growing interest in the Internet has a limiting impact on traditional ways of communication with peers and whether the increasing use of social networking sites by children is determined by the fear of exclusion from their circle of peers. The study was conducted with the use of an online survey distributed among children from the third, fifth, and seventh years of two Polish primary schools. The results include several conclusions regarding children's contact with the new media and their peers. The study showed that the majority of primary school pupils are regular users of the new new media, and their interest in new technologies increases with age.
Artykuł przedstawia zjawisko internetu jako współczesnej i dominującej przestrzeni w życiu dzieci. Większość z nich spędza pierwsze minuty w internecie w wieku kilku lat, na przykład oglądając bajki. Świat wirtualny to zarówno szansa, jak i zagrożenie dla młodych użytkowników. Celem badań była próba ustalenia, czy rosnące zainteresowanie dzieci internetem ogranicza tradycyjną komunikację z rówieśnikami oraz czy korzystanie przez dzieci z serwisów społecznościowych jest w coraz większym stopniu determinowane obawą przed wykluczeniem z grona rówieśników. Badanie przeprowadzono metodą ankiety internetowej wśród dzieci z klas III, V i VII dwóch szkół podstawowych w Polsce. Wynikiem badań są wnioski dotyczące kontaktu dzieci z nowymi mediami oraz z ich rówieśnikami. Badanie wykazało, że większość uczniów szkół podstawowych to regularni użytkownicy internetu, a ich zainteresowanie tym medium wzrasta wraz z wiekiem.

The article was based on a part of a wider report entitled “The future of the labor market - issues and possibilities” prepared by a group of social politicians from WSP Korczak Pedagogical University in Warsaw together with an international team of partners as part of the “Transformers for the future Labor Market” project (EUSBSR – EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region). The article itself is a brief insight into the situation of education, and especially higher education from a global perspective, which has found itself in the context of technological and civilization challenges of recent years, especially its electronisation and globalization through the Internet and the latest information tools as well as communication. The authors try to capture the most important challenges and relationships in relation to teaching and education’s innovations as on-line teaching, internet of things, education based on ICT, modern school. The context of necessary changes in the educational market and cultural and mental changes in relation to civilization challenges are also discussed.
Artykuł powstał w oparciu o fragment szerszego raportu pn. “Przyszłość rynku pracy – zagadnienia i możliwości” przygotowanego przez grupę polityków społecznych z WSP im. J. Korczaka w Warszawie wraz z międzynarodowym zespołem partnerów w ramach projektu “Transformers for the future labour market” (EUSBSR – EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region). Sam artykuł jest krótkim wglądem w sytuację edukacji, a zwłaszcza szkolnictwa wyższego w ujęciu globalnym, w jakim znalazło się w kontekście wyzwań technologiczno-cywilizacyjnychostatnichlat, zwłaszcza jego elektronizacji i wplywów globalizacji za pośrednictwem internetu i najnowszych nośników informacji. Autorzy próbują uchwycić najważniejsze wyzwania i relacje w odniesieniu do nauczania i edukacji: nauczanie on-line, internet rzeczy, edukacja oparta o ICT, nowoczesna szkoła. Poruszony jest również kontekst koniecznych zmian na rynku edukacyjnym oraz przeobrażeń kulturowo-mentalnościowych w związku z wyzwaniami cywilizacyjnymi.

In the information age, the role of higher education as a factor of social progress is increasing. The competition among higher education institutions is also growing. This requires higher education institutions’ (HEIs) marketing policies to be diversified, digitalized, and integrated into the virtual space. In order to find out the role and importance of Internet tools and in marketing activities, a questionnaire survey was conducted among managers and specialists of HEIs in Ukraine and Poland. The data served as the basis to study the level of variation, structure similarity, and consistency of the generalized responses of the respondents of the two countries. We verified hypotheses about (1) the absence of significant differences between the estimates of the role of the Internet in the marketing activities of HEIs in Poland and Ukraine; (2) the consistency of answers of the respondents of the two countries regarding the use of the Internet in market activites of HEIs; (3) HEIs’ use mostly geo-targeting potential consumers of higher education online. The dominant feature of the Internet – quick access to information – enables effective marketing activities. The management of HEIs should increase the awareness of their marketing staff in using the Internet to expand the delivery of educational services, intensify interviewing practices for obtaining feedback from customers, attract sponsors, promote their own brands, do market research, and so on.
W warunkach ery informacyjnej zwiększa się rola szkolnictwa wyższego w systemie czynników stymulujących postęp społeczny, wzrasta też poziom konkurencji w środowisku dostawców tych usług. Wymaga to dywersyfikacji polityki marketingowej instytucji szkolnictwa wyższego, jej digitalizacji i integracji w przestrzeni wirtualnej. W celu zbadania roli narzędzi internetowych i ich znaczenia w działaniach marketingowych przeprowadzono badania ankietowe wśród menedżerów i specjalistów instytucji szkolnictwa wyższego na Ukrainie i w Polsce. Uzyskane dane posłużyły jako podstawa do badania poziomu zmienności, podobieństwa struktur i ogólnej spójności odpowiedzi respondentów z tych dwóch krajów. Zweryfikowano hipotezy dotyczące braku istotnych różnic między przewidywaną rolą Internetu w działalności marketingowej instytucji szkolnictwa wyższego w Polsce i na Ukrainie, spójności odpowiedzi respondentów z tych dwóch krajów na temat poziomu rozpowszechnienia praktyk korzystania z Internetu w działaniach marketingowych instytucji szkolnictwa wyższego oraz docierania przez Internet do potencjalnych studentów przez szkoły wyższe z uwzględnieniem czynników geograficznych. Dominująca cecha Internetu – szybki dostęp do informacji – umożliwia skuteczne działania marketingowe. Osoby zarządzające szkołami wyższymi powinny zwiększyć świadomość pracowników działów marketingu w zakresie korzystania z Internetu w celu rozszerzenia świadczenia usług edukacyjnych, zintensyfikowania interakcji z klientami, przyciągnięcia sponsorów, promowania własnych marek, badań rynku i tym podobnych.

Engineering graphics enhances spatial understanding, which is so important int he process of engineering education. In order to provide high-level learning environment, available for all possible learners, engineering graphics specialists from all European Union Member States cancreate ISO Standards, which are adequate to web-based information and educational resources.
Wielość informacji, szybki rozwój technologii komputerowej zmienia podejście do nauczania. Sieciowe źródła wiedzy i zasoby koncepcji i metod nauczania są bardzo pożyteczne dla studentów i wykładowców w poszukiwaniu treści i form nauczania. Studiowanie grafiki inżynierskiej kształtuje wyobraźnię przestrzenną, co jest szczególnie ważne w kształceniu inżynierów. Aby zapewnić wysoki poziom kształcenia i by wiedza była dostępna dla wszystkich studiujących specjaliści w zakresie grafiki inżynierskiej UE powinni tworzyć w odpowiednich standardach ISO treści, koncepcje i metody nauczania i zamieszczać je w Internecie.

W przeciw-nym razie wnioskowanie o związku pomiędzy żywiołami będzie tylko hermeneutyczną pogadanką epigona; nawoływaniem do mimetycznych działań przystosowawczych i głoszeniem zamglonych wizji z beztwórczym kalkowaniem idei, znikających za horyzontem niemocy sprawczej.
Cyberspace knows no boundaries, so being in this world requires specific skills. It's like being at sea, which is the symbol of infinity, and mastering the element is the art of skillful sailing. How to survive unscathed without taking ground? How to get ahead in skillfully taking advantage of the virtual world, and among the successful ones, do not go into the burnout and the destruction of digital dementia? The parallel reasoning linking sailing storms to digital flood carries the message that both phenomena are synthesis of wonderful emotions but appear to be a handy metaphor to prove their worth, temptation and horror. This stigmatism tempts and forces one to come to the conclusions for the good of scientific reflection, as the best way to recommend them for the everyday educational practice. Otherwise, the conclusions concerning the connection between the elements will only be a hermeneutical talk of an epigone, calling for mimetic adaptation and the spread of hazy visions with non-creative use of ready-made patterns of ideas hiding behind the horizon.

Zaprezentowano w tekście kwestie techniczne stanowiące zagrożenia dla bezpiecznego korzystania z sieci, a następnie omówiono zagrożenia dla dzieci i młodzieży korzystających z nowoczesnych technologii z dostępem do Internetu. W artykule szczegółowo scharakteryzowano takie zagrożenia jak np. cyberbullying, cyberseks, grooming, czy sexting. Wskazano sposoby przeciwdziałania i zwalczania cyberzagrożeń a poprzez to budowanie bezpieczeństwa w sieci.
The article discusses the current and important issue of safe behavior on the Internet and online threats. The author successively presents technical issues that pose a threat to safe use of the network, and then discusses the risks for children and young people using modern technologies with access to the Internet. The article describes in detail such threats as e.g. cyberbullying, cybersex, grooming or sexting. In conclusion, the author indicates ways to prevent and combat cyber threats and thus build security in the network.

The aim of the paper is to discuss the relevance of media and information education in language learning at advanced levels. The present paper is based on the empirical data obtained during the action-research conducted with the Romance philology students attending the course of French as a foreign language. The main object of the research is to establish to what degree an oral argumentation task, preceded by the task of planning the discussion on Wiki is considered to be a learning situation by students themselves. The research focuses on a selected aspect of the learning process, namely, on the use of media resources while negotiating the discussion outline and specifically, while negotiating its topic, objectives and its cognitive value. The principal conclusions indicate 1) that the task scenario should be based on the critical and dialogical approach to media and 2) that this kind of instruction can reinforce the argumentative dimension of the discussion.
