    A series of substituted 2-((phenyl amino)methyl)-1,2-dihydro-5-(3-methoxyphenyl)-1-phenyl-1,2,4-triazole-3-thione compounds were synthesized and examined their purities as per the literature. The IR spectra of νC=N, νC=S, νNH and νCOC frequencies and NMR chemical shifts (ppm) of δNH, δOCH3, δCH2, δC=N, δC=S, δOCH3 and δCH2 are also assigned. The assigned IR and both 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectral data have been correlated with Hammett substituent constants and Swain-Lupton’s parameters using single and multi-linear regression analysis. From the results of statistical analysis, the effect of substituents on the above spectral data has been studied.

    A series of some 2-bromo-1-(2-substituted 9H-fluorene-7-yl)ethanones have been prepared. The purities of these ethanones have been checked by their physical constants and spectroscopic data. The spectral group frequencies of these enones have been assigned and correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters. From the results of statistical analyses, the effects of substituent have been discussed.

    A new series, 4-(3-(2-amino-3,5-dibromophenyl)-1-(4-substitutedbenzoyl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)benzonitrile (4a-h), were synthesized and evaluated for in vitro anti-inflammatory activities. The spectral (IR, NMR) and elemental analyses data of the product indicated the formation of new pyrazoles 4a-h. Compound 4e exhibited potent anti-inflammatory property about 85.45 % inhibitions. This value was compared with standard diclofenac sodium. Additionally, molecular docking increased our understanding of their receptor-ligand binding. These results demonstrated that pyrazole derivatives are potential inhibitors. Overall, the results suggest that the pyrazoles 4a-h is important lead compounds for the continuing battle against inflammation.

    In this investigation, the authors predicted the effects of substituents on the functional groups of the titled chalcones using Linear Free Energy Relationship through Hammett equation with its constants and Swain-Lupton parameters. The LFER model statistical analysis was carried out using single and multi-linear regression analysis in MS Office 365 XL package. From the LFER analysis outcome, the influence of substituents on the spectroscopic functionality were discussed with their electronic effects such as, polar, inductive, resonance, field and conjugation. The titled compounds were prepared by solvent-free Aldol-Condensation method. The prepared compounds were characterised by their physical constants, micro analysis and spectroscopic data (FT-IR, NMR and Mass).

    Omówiono główne czynniki wpływające na wybór zakresu spektralnego kamery termowizyjnej do badań w mikroelektronice: parametry katalogowe kamer, przebiegi krzywych kalibracyjnych oraz własności promienne mikroukładów. Dla oceny kamer opracowano procedurę i obliczono niepewność standardową pomiaru emisyjności i temperatury. Zwykle mniejszą niepewność oferują kamery średniofalowe, lecz inne czynniki mogą zdecydować o wyborze kamery długofalowej.
    In microelectronics the accuracy of infrared thermography very often depends strongly on the IR camera spectral range. Cameras with different spectral ranges are usually compared using the uncertainty of temperature measurements. There are several works devoted to calculating this uncertainty. Unfortunately, in these works the uncertainty of emissivity measurements is arbitrarily determined, which makes it difficult to evaluate generally the accuracy of cameras. In the paper procedures for calculation of the relative combined standard uncertainties of emissivity and temperature measurements are proposed. Thanks to knowledge of the definition of some camera parameters it was possible to estimate well the uncertainty components coming from the camera by using statistical relationships and to achieve a high reliability of calculations. The calculation results allow one both to evaluate generally the uncertainties for IR cameras with various spectral ranges and to determine the conditions of obtaining low values of these uncertainties. The camera calibration curve shape influences not only the uncertainty but also the result of averaging temperatures in the camera ground instantaneous field-of-view. The dependence of this result on the spectral range is analysed in the work. In microelectronics the radiative properties of the components may often have the main influence on the choice of camera. Some of these properties and their impact on measurements are also discussed.

    A series of (E)-2-(2-((aryl)(phenyl)methylene)hydrazinyl)benzo[d] thiazole compounds by condensation of substituted benzophenone with 2-hydrazinobenzothizol in the presence acetic acid. The synthesized compounds 1-6 were characterized by elemental, FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectral data. From the IR and NMR spectra, the characteristic frequencies were assigned and the data used for confirmation of the formation hydrazones 1-6. All compounds were screened for their preliminary antibacterial and antifungal activities. The methoxy substituted compound 6 shows good antibacterial activity against their bacterial strains within the agreed mm of zone of inhibition. The methyl (5) and methoxy (6) substituted hydrazones show good antifungal activities against their fungal strains.

    A new series of Schiff bases were synthesized for the first time by the condensation of substituted aldehyde and 3,5-dichloropyridin-4-amine in ethanol (1:1). The structure of Schiff bases were experimentally characterized by using IR and 1H NMR spectroscopic methods. The structural and vibrational properties of the studied molecules were investigated theoretically by performing density functional theory (DFT) to access reliable results to the experimental values and the calculation results showed good agreement with the experimental ones. The calculated HOMO and LUMO energies showed that charge transfer occurs within the molecule. Atomic charges and molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) have been calculated at the B3LYP method and standard 6-31G(d,p) basis set starting from optimized geometry.

    A series of substituted (E)-N-benzylidene-5-bromopyridin-2-amine compounds have been synthesized from 5-bromo-2-aminopyridine with different substituted benzaldehydes.     A series of 1-pyrenyl chalcones have been synthesized by Crossed-Aldol condensation of 1-acetylpyrene and substituted benzaldehydes. The purities of these chalcones have been checked by their physical constants, UV, IR, NMR and MASS spectral data. The spectral data of these chalcones have been correlated with Hammett sigma constants, F and R parameters using single and multi-linear regression analysis. From the results of statistical analysis, the effect of substituents on the spectral group frequencies have been discussed. The anti-microbial activities of these chalcones have been evaluated using Bauer-Kirby method.

    A series of nine number of (E)-1-benzylidene-2-(4-bromophenyl)hydrazine compounds have been synthesized by the condensation reaction of 4-bromo phenylhydrazine with varies m- and p- substituted benzaldehydes using acetic acid catalyst were refluxed for 4h with 20 mL of absolute ethanol. The yield of synthesized (E)-1-benzylidene-2-(4-bromophenyl)hydrazine compounds are more than 80%. The synthesized (E)-1-benzylidene-2-(4-bromophenyl)hydrazines have been characterized by UV, IR, 1H and 13C spectral data. These UV, IR and NMR spectral data have been correlated with varies Hammett substituted constant and Swain-Lupton F and R parameters using single and multi- regression analysis. From the results of statistical analysis, the effects of substituent have been studied. The antimicrobial activity of all the synthesized substituted (E)-1-benzylidene-2-(4-bromophenyl)hydrazines have been evaluated using Bayer-Kirby method.

    We have synthesized eleven numbers of 1-{[3-(furan-2-yl)-5-phenyl-4,5-dihydro-1,2-oxazol-4-yl]methyl}-4-methyl piperazines by hydroxyapatite catalyzed microwave assisted condensation method. The synthesized 1-{[3-(furan-2-yl)-5-phenyl-4,5-dihydro-1,2-oxazol-4-yl]methyl}-4-methyl piperazine compounds were characterized by means of their IR and NMR spectral data. The assigned infrared spectral νC=N, νC-O-C stretches(cm-1), NMR chemical shifts of isoxazoline (d) proton, isoxazoline (m) proton, N-CH3, C=N, C-NH2 and C-NH3 (δ, ppm) of these 1-{[3-(furan-2-yl)-5-phenyl-4,5-dihydro-1,2-oxazol-4-yl]methyl}-4-methyl piperazines were assigned and correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters using single and multi linear regression analysis. From the results of statistical analyses, the effects of substituents on the above group frequencies were discussed.

    Some novel substituted hydrazone derivatives of amino guanidine have been synthesized with different substituted benzaldehydes by condensation method. The synthesized hydrazones were characterized by their physical constants, UV, IR and NMR spectra. The spectral data have been correlated with Hammett substituent constants and Swain–Lupton parameters. From the result of statistical analysis, the effects of substituents on the spectral data have been predicted. The antimicrobial activities of these synthesized hydrazone compounds have been screened by Bauer-Kirby method using human pathogenic bacteria and fungal species. The antimicrobial activities of all synthesized hydrazone compounds have shown significant activity.

    About ten (Z)-1-(1-(substitutedphenyl)ethylidene)-2-(diphenylmethylene)hydrazines were prepared and their purities were examined by literature method. The infrared and NMR spectra of these hydrazines were recorded. The characteristics C=N and N-N stretches (ν, cm-1) and the chemical shifts (δ, ppm) of methyl protons and carbons were assigned. These spectral have been correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F, R and Swain-Lupton’s parameters using single and multi-regression analysis. From the results of statistical analyses, the effects of substituent on the spectral data have been studied.

    A series containing eleven benzofuranyl flavonols have been prepared by cyclization of 3-hydroxybenzofuranyl chalcones with 30 % hydrogen peroxide in the presence of sodium bicarbonate. The synthesized flavonols were characterized by their physical constants, analytical and spectroscopic data. The infrared spectral νOH, CO stretches(cm-1), NMR chemical shifts of OH, CO(δ, ppm) of these flavonols were assigned and correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters using single and multi linear regression analysis.     212-Vanadate ceramics with formula Bi2SrV2-xUxO9, where (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.6 mole ) were carefully synthesized by solution routes with sintering temperature at 880oC for 24 hrs. Structural analysis with XRD proved that uranium (IV)-dopant can substitute successfully until x = 0.55 mole on the Bi-layered perovskite crystal structure without damaging the original structure . It was observed that U – doping have slight to moderate effects on both ESR-signals and conduction mechanism of U-doped Bi-Sr-V-O regime. Electrical measurements indicated that the energy gap Eg and number of electrons in conduction band Ncb increase as the ratio of U doping increases from x = 0.05 till x = 0.6 mole respectively due to the increasing of paramagnetic character of uranium than vanadium.

    W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badania wpływu testów tribologicznych na zmianę plastycznego. W tym celu wykonano widma IR smarów wyjściowych i porównano je z widmami uzyskanymi dla smarów po działaniu wymuszeń. Zidentyfikowano pasma charakterystyczne dla badanych związków i oceniono zmiany w tym zakresie. Stosując prawo Beera-Lamberta opracowano metodykę oznaczania zawartości dodatków smarnych w kompozycjach i zastosowano ją do oceny zmian chemicznych w tym zakresie.
    The paper presents results of studies of the effect of tribological tests on changes in the composition of greases. To this end IR spectra of the unaffected greases have been registered and compared with the spectra of greases acted upon mechanically. Bands characteristic of the compounds studied were identified and changes thereof were assessed. A methodology based on Beer-Lambert law was developed for determining the content of additives in the studied compositions and was subsequently applied to assess the chemical transformations in this area.

    The paper presents an integrated system, developed at the Military University of Technology (MUT), used for measurements of spectral characteristic of UV, VIS, and IR detectors. The setup provides also the possibility of noise measurements in a wide temperature range - from 10 K to 450 K.

    The FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of 1-bromo-4-nitrobenzene (1B4NB) have been recorded in the range 400-4000 cm-1 and 100-4000 cm-1 respectively. Also the NMR and UV-VIS spectra of 1B4NB have been recorded and analyzed. The molecular structures, fundamental vibrational frequencies and intensity of the vibrational bands are investigated and interpreted theoretically with the use of structure optimizations and normal coordinate force field calculations based on density functional theory (DFT) with basis sets 6-31+G(d,p) and 6-311++G(d,p). The vibrational wave number assignments were made from potential energy distribution (PED) calculations using Veda program. The simulated vibrational spectra of the molecule show excellent agreement with the experimental spectra. The hyper conjugative interaction energy (E)2 and electron densities of donor (i) and acceptor (j) bonds were calculated using NBO analysis. The energy gap of the molecule was found using HOMO and LUMO calculation. The electronic transition was studied using UV-Visible analysis of the title molecule with B3LYP/6-311++G (d,p) level of basis set. The microscopic Non-linear optical behavior, the molecular electrostatic potential (MEP), chemical descriptors and thermo dynamical properties of the title compound were also calculated. In addition, the 1H and 13C NMR chemical shifts values of 1B4NB in the ground state for B3LYP/ 6-311++G (d,p) basis set were also calculated using Gauge independent atomic orbital (GIAO) method.

    Określono możliwość zastosowania technik spektroskopowych do charakterystyki właściwości strukturalnych mezoporowatego węgla otrzymanego metodą miękkiego odwzorowania oraz zmodyfikowanego za pomocą nanocząstek Ag, Au, TiO2 i Fe3O4. Charakterystykę spektralną próbek otrzymanych węgli przeprowadzono techniką spektroskopii IR, FTIR oraz Ramana. Podczas syntezy materiałów węglowych w środowisku kwasowym zastosowano rezorcynol i formaldehyd jako prekursory węglowe w obecności kopolimeru trójblokowego Lutrol F127. Wyniki badań spektralnych wykazały, że zastosowane metody syntezy mezoporowatych węgli pozwoliły na uzyskanie materiałów węglowych o odtwarzalnej budowie. Modyfikacja powierzchni węgla badanymi nanocząstkami spowodowała wyraźne zmiany w widmach Ramana, FTIR i IR kompozytów węglowych, przy czym na zmianę ich właściwości najsilniej wpłynęły tlenki metali. Widma te pokazały również, że w strukturze otrzymanych materiałów węglowych pojawiły się uporządkowane fragmenty grafenowe podobne do tych, jakie występują w nanorurkach węglowych.
    The structural properties of mesoporous carbons modified by Ag, Au, TiO2 and Fe3O4 nanoparticles were studied using IR, FT-IR and Raman spectroscopy. The carbon materials were prepared by the soft-templating method in an acidic medium, with resorcinol and formaldehyde as the carbon precursors and triblock copolymer Lutrol F127 as a soft template. Spectral analysis has revealed that these carbons are characterized by a repeatable structure. The modification of the carbon surface by the nanoparticles examined has caused some noticeable changes in the Raman, FT-IR and IR spectra of the carbon composites, and most of the influence on the modification of the surface comes from metal oxides. The spectra have also shown that the carbon materials tested contain some ordered fragments of graphene structures similar to those occurring in carbon nanotubes.

    About ten substituted (E)-1-Benzylidene-2-(diphenylmethylene) hydrazine compounds have been synthesized. They are characterized by their analytical, ultraviolet, infrared and NMR spectral data. From infrared spectra, the CN and N+N vibrational frequencies (cm-1) of the hydrazines have been assigned. From NMR spectra, the chemical shifts (, ppm) of CH proton and C(C6H5)2 carbons of the hydrazines have been assigned. These data are correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters using single and multi-linear regression analysis. From the results of statistical analysis, the effect of substituents on the spectral data have been discussed.

    A series of Schiff’s bases have been synthesized by fly-ash:p-toluenesulfonic acid (fly-ash:PTS) catalyzed microwave assisted oxidative coupling of arylamines and substituted benzaldehydes under solvent-free condition. The synthesized Schiff’s bases are characterized by their physical constants, analytical and spectroscopic data. The group frequencies of imines such as IR (v, cm–1) and NMR (δ, ppm) spectral data was correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters using single and multi-linear regression analysis. The antimicrobial activities of these Schiff’s bases have been studied using Bauer-Kirby method.

    Asphalt is one of the most commonly used building material. The first attempts at modifying asphalt were made at the beginning of the twentieth century. Nowadays the most popular asphalt modifier is the styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS). This thermoplastic elastomer increases the thermal resistance of bitumen, widens the range of plasticity and amends rheological properties. IR spectroscopy is by far the most common instrumental method used in analytical chemistry. The popularity of this method results from its simple measurement technique, universality and high precision. That is why IR spectroscopy applies to the analysis of polymer modified binder (PMB) used in waterproofing.
    Asfalt jest jednym z najczęściej stosowanych materiałów budowlanych. Pierwsze próby jego modyfikacji były podjęte na początku XX wieku. Obecnie najczęściej stosowanym modyfikatorem jest styren-butadien-styren (SBS). Ten termoplastyczny elastomer zwiększa odporność termiczną asfaltu, poszerza jego zakres lepkosprężysty oraz zmienia jego właściwości reologiczne. Spektroskopia IR jest najczęściej stosowaną metodą instrumentalną w chemii analitycznej. Popularność tej metody wynika z prostoty techniki pomiaru, uniwersalności i wysokiej precyzji. Dlatego możliwe jest wykorzystanie spektroskopii w zakresie średniej podczerwieni do analizy asfaltów modyfikowanych polimerami.

    About nine (E)-(2,5-dinitrophenyl)-2-(substituted benzylidene)hydrazines have been synthesized by hydroxy apatite catalyzed condensation of 2,4-dinitrophenyl hydrazine and substituted benzaldehydes under microwave irradiation conditions. The obtained yields of these hydrazines are more than 85%. The purities of synthesized hydrazines are examined by the analytical and spectroscopic data reported earlier. The infrared spectral C=N, NH frequencies (v, cm-1) and the NMR spectral chemical shifts of CH, NH protons and carbons are assigned and are correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameter using single and multi-regression analysis. From the results of statistical analysis the effects of substituent on the group frequencies have been discussed. The antioxidant activities of these synthesized hydrazines were measured using DPPH radical scavenging method. The hydroxy- and methoxy- substituted hydrazines shows significant antioxidant activity.

    In this work, an attempt was made to synthesized (E)-1-(2,4-dimethylthiazol-5-yl)-3-phenylprop-2-en-1-one by cross-aldol condensation reaction of 5′-acetyl-2,4-dimethylthiazole with various substituted Benz aldehyde in the presence base (sodium hydroxide). The synthesized (E)-1-(2,4-dimethylthiazol-5-yl)-3-phenylprop-2-en-1-one derivative was characterized by physical constants, UV, FT-IR, 1H-NMR & 13C-NMR spectral data. All the observed spectral data of substituted (E)-1-(2,4-dimethylthiazol-5-yl)-3-phenylprop-2-en-1-one compounds have been correlated with Hammett substituent constants(σ, σ+, σI & σR) and F and R parameters using single and multi-linear regression analyses and studied for their anti-microbial activities and compared with the standard drugs (Ciprofloxacin). Some compound of the series exhibited promising anti-microbial activity compared to standard drugs (Ciprofloxacin).

    Some N-acetyl pyrazoles including 3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-5-(substituted phenyl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazole-1-yl-ethanones have been synthesised by solvent free cyclization cum acetylation of chalcones including substituted styryl 3,4-dichlorophenyl ketones using hydrazine hydrate and acetic anhydride in presence of catalytic amount of fly-ash: H2SO4 catalyst. The yield of these N-acetyl pyrazole derivatives are more than 75 %. The synthesised N-acetyl pyrazoline derivatives were characterized by their physical constants and spectral data. The infrared spectral νC=N and C=O (cm-1) frequencies, NMR chemical shifts (δ, ppm) of Ha, Hb, Hc, CH3 protons, C=N, C=O and CH3 carbons of 1-(3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-5-(substitutedphenyl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazole-1-yl) ethanones have been assigned and correlated with Hammett substituent constants and Swain-Lupton’s parameters using single and multi-regression analysis. From the results of statistical analyses the effect of substituents on the above group frequencies and chemical shifts of the acetylated pyrazoles were discussed.

    Opis:
    The structure of photochromic high silica glasses (PHSGs) was studied by UV–VIS–NIR and IR spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques. PHSG plates were obtained by impregnation of silica porous glasses at first with AgNO3 aqueous solution (in or without the presence of the sensitizers, such as Cu(NO3)2 or Ce(NO3)3), next in the mixed halide salt (NH4Cl, KBr, KI) solution. Then a part of the samples was sintered at temperatures from 850 to 900 °C up to closing of the pores. The results of TEM study have shown that the PHSG plates have two-phase structure with inclusions of the size of 10–100 nm. According to XRD data, the PHSGs contain the AgBr phase. IR spectra confirmed the presence of AgI, AgCl, CeO2, CuCl2, CuCl phases in PHSGs.

    Some 2’-hydroxyphenylchalcones have been synthesized under microwave irradiation by Claisen-Schmidt condensation between substituted 2-hydroxyacetophenone and substituted benzaldehydes using catalytic amount of SiO2-H3PO4. These chalcones were established by their physical constants and spectroscopic data published earlier. The UV, IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectral data of these chalcone have correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters. All the compounds have been subjected to screened for antimicrobial activity.

    Some (E)-2-(substituted benzylideneamino)-N-(3-chloro-4-fluorophenyl)-hexahydro-2H-cyclopenta[b]thiophene-3-carboxamide derivatives have been synthesized by SiO2:H3PO4 catalyzed solvent-free condensation of 2-amino-N-(3-chloro-4-fluorophenyl)-hexahydro-2H-cyclopenta [b]thiophene-3-carboxamide and various substituted benzaldehydes in microwave irradiation. The yield of the imine-carboximido derivatives has been found to be more than 85 %. The purity of all imine-carboximido derivatives has been checked using their physical constants and spectral data. The spectral data of the imine-carboximido derivatives such as infrared ? (cm-1) of CO, NH, C-N, C-Cl, C-F, C=N, and the NMR chemical shifts (?, ppm) of NH, CH, CO and C=N have been correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters. From the results of statistical analysis, the effects of substituent on the above spectral group absorptions have been discussed.

    Opis:
    A series of aryl imines have been synthesized by Fly-ash: PTS catalyzed microwave assisted oxidative coupling of amines and aldehydes under solvent-free conditions. The yield of the imines has been found to be more than 90 %. The purity of all imines has been checked using their physical constants and spectral data as published earlier in literature. The UV ?maxC=N(nm), infrared ?C=N(cm-1), NMR ?(ppm) of CH=N and C=N spectral data have been correlated with Hammett substituent constants and F and R parameters using single and multi-linear regression analysis. From the results of statistical analysis, the effect of substituents on the above spectral data has been studied. The antimicrobial activities of all imines have been studied using Bauer-Kirby method.

    About nine substituted (E)-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)-3-phenylprop-2-en-1-ones have been synthesized by solvent-free method. These enones were analyzed by spectral techniques. The characteristic spectral frequencies were correlated through Hammett equation with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters using single and multi-regression analysis method. From the statistical analysis results, the quantitative structure activity relationships have been discussed by means of effects of substituents on the spectral frequencies.

From the results of statistical analyses, the effects of substituents in terms of spectral quantitative structure activity on the spectral frequencies were studied.

    Opis:
    Single and multi-regression analysis was applied for the corrosion study of transmission of substituent effects on IR carbonyl stretching frequencies and 13C chemical shifts of some substituted oxazepin compounds. The substituent effects were estimated on the basis of results of the statistical analysis. The differences among the obtained regression coefficients were discussed in terms of the relative importance of the field, inductive and resonance effects of substituent.

    A series of substituted styryl 3,5-dichloro-2-hydroxyphenyl ketones [1-(3, 5-dichloro-2-hydroxy)- 3-phenylprop-2-en-1-one] were synthesized using thionyl chloride assisted Crossed Aldol reaction. The yields of chalcones were more than 80%. The synthesized chalcones were characterized by analytical and spectroscopic data. From the spectroscopic data the group frequencies were correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters. From the results of statistical analysis the effect of substituents were discussed. The antibacterial activities of these chalcones have been evaluated using Bauer-Kirby method.

    A series of aryl chalcones have been synthesized from 4-phenoxyacetophonone with various substituted benzaldehydes. The purity of all chalcones has been checked using their physical constants and spectral data. These spectral data have been correlated with Hammett substituent constants and F and R parameters using single and multi-linear regression analysis. From the results of statistical analysis, the effect of substituents on the above spectral data has been studied. The single parameter correlation with few Hammett constants and F and R parameters gave satisfactory correlation coefficients whereas all multiple correlations gave satisfactory correlation coefficients with Resonance, Field and Swain-Lupton’s parameters. The antimicrobial activities of all chalcones have been studied using Bauer-Kirby method.

The group frequencies of infrared ʋ(cm-1) of CO s-cis and s-trans, CH in-plane and out of plane, CH=CH out of plane, >C=C< out of plane modes, NMR chemical shifts δ (ppm) of Hα, Hβ, CO, Cα and Cβ of these chalcones were correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters using single and multi-regression analyses.
