Opis:
In view of the size and the change of the load force of the conveyor belt at the turning point of the plane turning belt conveyor, the influencing factors of the stress of the conveyor belt at the turning point of the plane turning belt conveyor under full load condition are analyzed. A three dimensional model of the turning point of the plane turning belt conveyor is established. Combined with previous research experience, the formula for calculating the load is put forward. Based on discrete element method, multiple sets of internal curve elevation angle and the belt speed are used for dynamic simulation analysis. The results showed that the middle of conveyor belt is the most stressed, the lateral force second, the force of the inner conveyor belt is the least. Outside force increases with the increase of speed; there is no change in the middle band; the inner band force decreases with the increase of the velocity. Outside force decreases with the decrease of the inclination angle. With the change of the inclination angle, the force is basically unchanged. With the decreasing of the inclination angle, the force increases gradually. By optimizing the design parameters of the plane turning belt conveyor, the force of belt is reduced, and the service life of belt is improved.

Opis:
In this study, a methodology was presented to predict density stratified flows in the near-field of submerged bodies. The energy equation in temperature form was solved coupled with momentum and mass conservation equations. Linear stratification was achieved by the definition of the density as a function of temperature. At first, verifications were performed for the stratified flows passing a submerged horizontal circular cylinder, showing excellent agreement with available experimental data. The ability of the method to cope with variable density was demonstrated. Different turbulence models were used for different Re numbers and flow states. Based on the numerical methods proposed in this paper, the stratified flow was studied for the real scale benchmark DAPRA Suboff submarine. The approach used the VOF method for tracing the free surface. Turbulence was implemented with a k − ω based Detached Eddy Simulation (DES) approach. The effects of submarine speed, depth and density gradient on the free surface wave pattern were quantitatively analyzed. It was shown that, with the increasing of the speed of the submarine, the wavelength and wave height of the free surface wave were gradually increasing. The wave height of the free surface wave was gradually reduced as the submarine’s depth increased. Relative to the speed and submarine depth, the changes of the gradient density gradient have negligible effects on the free surface wave field.

Opis:
The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of exogenous selenium (Se) supply (0, 2, 4, 8, 16 μM) on the growth, lipid peroxidation and antioxidative enzyme activity of 100 mM NaCl-stressed melon (Cucumis melo L.) seedlings. Salt stress significantly reduced the growth attributes including stem length, stem diameter, dry weight and increased antioxidative enzyme activity [superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD), catalase (CAT)]. Moreover, the plant exhibited a significant increase in electrolyte leakage and malondialdehyde (MDA) content under NaCl stress. Se supplementation not only improved the growth parameters but also successfully ameliorated the adverse effect caused by salt stress in melon seedlings. However, the mitigation of NaCl-stressed seedlings was different depending on the Se concentration. At lower concentrations (2–8 μM), Se improved growth and acted as antioxidant by inhibiting lipid peroxidation and increasing in SOD and POD enzymes activity under salt stress. At higher concentrations (16 μM), Se exerted diminished beneficial effects on growth. Whereas CAT activity was enhanced. The result indicated that Se supplementation had a positive physiological effect on the growth and development of salt-stressed melon seedlings.

Opis:
In order to release the lateral force of pipe conveyor belt in vertical transportation, the thesis had a study of the lateral force of the conveyor belt. By making use of Janssen Principles and fractal theory, based on reasonable simplification, the author established a mathematical model of the lateral force in vertical transportation, and with the research foundation of the pipe belt conveyor for underground transportation, through solution analysis, the author found out that the change of material diameter would lead to nonlinear variation of the lateral force of the conveyor belt. Under the circumstances of different material diameter, discrete element method was adopted to simulate the lateral force of the conveyor belt, thus working out the distribution curve chart of the lateral force. To verify the reliability of the theory, the author built an experimental platform for pipe conveyor belt in vertical transportation, and experimented with five groups of materials in different diameter, working out the strain of lateral force of the characteristic conveyor belt; by comparing the theoretical result, the simulation result and the experimental result, it showed that the solution to relieving lateral force through optimization selection of material diameter put forward in this thesis was reasonable and effective. It provides theoretical reference for the design of pipe belt conveyor.

Opis:
On July 22, 1908, Pope Pius X established the Association of Our Lady of a Happy Death as universal for the whole Church. On May 1987, the Primate of Poland, Cardinal Joseph Glemp, approved the Polish Branch of the Association at the Shrine to the Virgin Mary in Górka Klasztorna. He also permitted the Missionaries of the Holy Family to carry out this work. The purpose of the Association is the propagation of prayer and preparation for a good death. The question is, however, can death be good? If so, what is a good death? The article titled „What makes a good death? An attempt to answer the question based on the teachings of K. Rahner, H.U. von Balthasar and J. Ratzinger – Benedict XVI“ is an analysis of the thoughts of the three great contemporary theologians. It does not, however, aim to analyze deeply the mutual similarities and differences between the German-speaking theologians. The study aims at explaining what we really ask God for when praying for a „happy death”. Even a cursory reading of selected books by Rahner, von Balthasar and Ratzinger – Benedict XVI reveals that thinking about death as something good is not unreasonable. Why? Because the positive aspect of dying does not come from the nature of death, but from God’s action in it. It was Him who in the Person of Jesus Christ became man and conquered the hell of death (Ratzinger) by transforming a “bad death” into a “good one” (von Balthasar), and thus gained eternal redemption for us (Rahner).

Relativistic configuration interaction calculations with the inclusion of the Breit interaction, quantum electrodynamics and finite nuclear mass corrections have been carried out in the extended optimal level scheme using multi-configuration Dirac-Fock wave functions on the wavelengths, electric dipole transition rates and oscillator strengths of chlorine. Through the use of the active space method, the calculated values are compared with the other available data on He-like and Be-like chlorine and are found to be in very good agreement with them. In this paper we give accurate transition properties from Cl(VIII) through Cl(XVI). These data provide reference value for level lifetime, charge state distribution and average charge of chlorine plasma.

Theoretical analysis of propagation properties in a hollow-core Bragg fiber for bio-sensing applications has been demonstrated. Based on the Bragg fiber we propose a resonant sensor that operates on changes in refractive index of aqueous solution placed inside the hollow core. By using the transfer matrix method we analyzed the confinement loss of the $TE_{01}$ mode in the hollow-core Bragg fiber. We have shown the influence of the fiber geometry on the changes in the confinement loss. Spectral sensitivity and resolution of the sensor are also presented.

Opis:
With the polymer-coated fertilizer as background, the permeability of P- and K-nutrient through a representative polymer membrane-polystyrene membrane were investigated by measuring their permeability in the solutions of KH2 PO4 -water and urea-KH2 PO4 water at nominal temperature of 298 K using the Ussing chamber method. To analyze and interpret the variation of permeability with solute concentration, the solubility of permeate in polymer membrane were determined experimentally and the permeate diffusion coefficient were assessed by the measurements of density and apparent molar volume of the aqueous fertilizer solutions. An interesting “increase-decrease” trend for the permeability of both phosphorous (P)-nutrient, and potassium (K)-nutrient fertilizer with permeate concentration was observed, in which the increases in permeability at low concentrations of permeate could be attributed to the increase in solubility of KH2 PO4  in polymer while the decreases in permeability at high concentrations was due to the decrease in diffusion coefficient of permeate in polymer membrane. Finally, the release kinetics of these nutrients from a PS-coated urea-KH2 PO4  compound fertilizer granule was predicted using the Shaviv’s model along with the permeability data of P- and K-nutrient generated.

Opis:
We studied the effect of the donor doping of ZnSe films on their photoluminescence properties. The samples were doped during the molecular beam epitaxy growth, either with gallium or with chlorine. As the dopant concentration dose increases, the intensity of the band-edge emission first saturates, and then quenches in favor of the deep-level photoluminescence band. The main effect of donor doping on photoluminescence is a strong increase in intensity of the donor-bound exciton line, referred to as I$\text{}_{2}$. For Ga-doped films deep-band emission is much stronger, and the I$\text{}_{2}$-line is slightly weaker than for Cl-doped films with comparable doping level. The results confirm the superiority of chlorine over gallium as an n-type dopant in ZnSe. We discuss the photoluminescence results and relate them to deep level transient spectroscopy data obtained on the same samples.
