    Using modern devices and global access to information have become one of the most important areas of people’s lives, especially in case of young people who have been dealing with technology and new media since they were very young. It is hard to imagine life without new information communication technologies. Communicating, making friends, gaining information, entertainment, pursuing hobbies and interests – it all happens through these technologies. Is virtual reality becoming the space of creativity of the young or their escape from real tasks that they should face in everyday life? The paper presents research on the compulsive usage of mobile phones and gives a detailed characteristics of the phenomenon of phonoholism in Masovian voivodship. The underlying research objective is the analysis of the negative effects of the excessive immersion of the users in the Internet and the ubiquitous presence thereof in people’s lives, with a particular emphasis being put on the impact the Internet has on young people. Among others, the research results have displayed low perception of the harmfulness of addiction to a mobile phone among the investigated youth.

    In the era of common access to freedom on the Internet, there are more and more controversies between advocates of complete freedom and followers of the idea of limiting the usage of the global network’s resources. Should the Internet become a space of unlimited freedom? Contrary to common belief, the answer to such a question is not that obvious, although intuitively one would like to say yes. The Internet is basically an egalitarian tool of communication, a space of easy creation and transfer of content, for which the only limit is technology and unlimited human imagination. Freedom seems to be not only an immanent, but even a constitutive feature of the virtual space in which the Internet functions.

    The article analyses a project directed to Ukrainian students in Polish primary schools, financed by UNICEF. The project consisted of two parts. The first one is the examination of children's psychological and pedagogical needs. It was carried out with the use of the Questionnaire of Disorders in the Realization of Social Roles, among 96 students studying in IV – VIII classes of primary schools. This questionnaire serves as a screening test for the research sample. Test results show that the average and high level of disorders in the role of a peer is experienced by 30% of students, while the sense of peer rejection at the same levels is shown by as many as 35% of the respondents. The main study is an examination of the effectiveness of multimedia art therapy program in improving peer relations of Ukrainian students. The aim of this part was to support building peer relationships among studied children and provide them with the necessary emotional support. 57 students participated in a 10 group art workshops using multimedia. The theoretical concept of this project was based on Expressive Therapy (Malchodi & Bochenek, 2014). To determine the effectiveness of art therapy, qualitative methods were used: subjective scales and descriptive scales, as well as observations of the creative process, statements and reflections of students during and after the project. The results underscored a noticeable improvement in the students' self-perceptions, with reported enhancements in feelings of connection, self-worth, and self-approval. Additionally, an increase in communication skills, positive peer interactions, and social acceptance was observed.

    The subject of the article directly fits into the process of broadly understood security. The author indicates the opportunities and threats in the social space of the Internet of human functioning. The aim of the article is to analyze the basic human threats while experiencing freedom and trust in the virtual space. The author poses the question: Should the Internet be a space of unlimited freedom? Freedom seems to be not only an immanent but also a constitutive feature of the virtual space in which the Internet functions. It should be emphasized that the issues are discussed from very different perspectives and in processes as well as social relations. The article consists of three parts. In the first one the author presented the issues of cyberspace development, whose specific features favor the development of the virtual community. Next, she defined the most important areas concerning the culture of freedom and the consent of human education as a way of promoting its independence in the social space of the Internet. The last part of the publication contains the most important theses regarding threats related to human personal safety in cyberspace.

    Artykuł ukazuje wielowymiarowy charakter cyberpatologii jako zagrożenia dla bezpieczeństwa publicznego. Dzisiejsza teraźniejszość wpływa na poczcie bezpieczeństwa podmiotu, bowiem obfituje w wyraźną ewolucję zagrożeń, wśród których uporczywe stają się zagrożenia cyfrowe. Są one bolączką dla jednostki, społeczeństwa, wpływając na ich funkcjonowanie, działanie państw, instytucji gospodarczych i społecznych. Korzystanie z mediów cyfrowych i technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych wiąże się z powstaniem nowego typu zagrożeń dla bezpieczeństwa publicznego, a rozwojowi sieci towarzyszy pojawienie się w Internecie niebezpiecznych zjawisk i przestępczości. W artykule przedstawiono zjawiska o charakterze negatywnym, przenoszone do sieci ze świata realnego, jak również nowe kategorie niebezpiecznych zachowań i przestępstw. Autorki na podstawie badań z zakresu cyberpatologii społecznych wśród młodzieży zwróciły uwagę na zakres kontaktu młodzieży z nowymi technologiami oraz uzależnienie od elektronicznych mediów, które sprzyjają rozwojowi cyberpatologii społecznych.
    The article below presents multidimensional character of cyber pathology as public security threat. The world today interrupts subject’s feeling of security since there is a clear evolution of threats, among which digital threats are becoming particularly insistent. They are problematic to an individual and society and influence its functioning, state activities, economic and social institutions. Using digital media and information-communication technologies is connected with emergence of a new type of threats to public security and the network development is accompanied by emergence of dangerous phenomena and crime in the Internet. The threats are the result of human activity. The article presents phenomena that are of negative character projected from the real world into the net as well as emergence of new category of dangerous behaviors and crimes. Authors draw attention to the scope of the youth contact with new technologies and their addiction to electronic media that facilitate the development of social pathology on the basis of research on social pathology within the youth.

    The need for security is one of the most fundamental human needs. The scale of the threats posed by cybercrime to IT systems is large. It is mostly the result of the high vulnerability of IT systems to threats, the high risk of data theft, a very high occurrence of Internet frauds, the low efficiency of the systems protecting computers and networks, and an inadequately low level, as related to the existing threats, of security measures utilized by the users of IT systems. In this article, the authors discuss the underestimated problem of crime on the Internet and its nature in today’s reality.

    The purpose of this article is to reflect on what freedom of speech in the web is. In the age of universal freedom of access to the Internet, controversy is growing between supporters of full freedom and supporters of legal restrictions on the use of global Internet resources. Should the Internet be the space of unlimited freedom? Surprisingly enough, the answer to this question is not obvious, although intuitively one would like to answer in the affirmative. By definition, the Internet is an egalitarian tool of communication, a space for free creation and flow of content, for which the only limit is technology and human imagination, whose boundaries cannot be determined. The global network is a field completely unregulated and not bound by any rules. This situation is slowly changing and legislators and courts are beginning to set the boundaries of online proceedings. People posting content on the Internet must do so with precaution so as not to violate the limits of freedom of speech, especially in the field of broadly understood public security, crime, morality, public order, other people’s personal rights, and confidential information.

    Significant problems associated with the development and transformation of mass media, which quickly began their expansion in cyberspace, have become one of the most important areas of human life. The author drew attention to the issues of the development of cyberspace whose specific characteristics further the development of cybermedia. She presented selected issues related to cybermedia, the impact they can play in the information society that develops relatively quickly, as well as the threats they pose to personnel security. This article aims to show human threats in the online social space in the context of personal security in cyberspace on the example of pathological behaviour in online communication based on ‘pathostreaming’.

    Opis:
    An analysis of the security of the state and its citizens in terms of individual critical infrastructure systems in a situation of threats from cyberspace is one of the topics taken up by the authors of this article. As part of an experiment of a research nature conducted among students of the course Cybernetics Engineering, National Security at the Pomeranian Academy in Slupsk and students of the course Internal Security at the Kazimierz Pulaski University of Technology and Humanities in Radom, an analysis was carried out of the students’ opinion of the impact of the phenomenon of cyber-terrorism on the level of national security and actions taken to combat and counteract it was presented. The article is focused on assessing the incidence of threats to critical infrastructure systems from cyberspace. The main objective of the study is to identify selected aspects of an inclusive vision of the digital society in terms of forecasting the direction of information flow and storage management in the opinion of security students of two purposefully selected universities.
    Analiza bezpieczeństwa państwa i jego obszarów w zakresie poszczególnych systemów infrastruktury krytycznej na zagrożenia pochodzące z cyberprzestrzeni jest elementem dyskursu autorów artykułu. W ramach prowadzonego eksperymentu o charakterze badawczym wśród studentów kierunku Inżynieria Cyberprzestrzeni, Bezpieczeństwo Narodowe Akademii Pomorskiej w Słupsku oraz studentów kierunku Bezpieczeństwo Wewnętrzne Uniwersytetu Technologiczno-Humanistycznego im. Kazimierza Pułaskiego w Radomiu przedstawiono analizę wpływu zjawiska, jakim jest cyberterroryzm, na poziom bezpieczeństwa narodowego oraz działania podejmowane ku jego zwalczaniu i przeciwdziałaniu w ocenie studentów. Artykuł poświęcony jest ocenie wystąpienia zagrożeń w zakresie systemów infrastruktury krytycznej pochodzących z cyberprzestrzeni. Głównym celem opracowania jest wskazanie wybranych aspektów integracyjnej wizji społeczeństwa cyfrowego o prognozowaniu kierunku zarządzania przepływem i magazynowaniem informacji w opinii studentów kierunku bezpieczeństwa dwóch celowo wybranych uczelni.

    W przedstawionym artykule podejmuję się interpretacji pojęcia wolności i jej aspektów, które w praktyce wyrażane są przez wolność słowa w Internecie. Na podstawie aktualnie obserwowanych zjawisk i bieżących wydarzeń wskazane zostały zagrożenia wynikające z powszechnej dostępności do publikacji opinii w sieci. W podanych przykładach zaprezentowano zarówno praktykę dokonywanych regulacji, jak i manipulacji w tym zakresie. Przedstawiony artykuł nie aspiruje do całościowej eksplikacji wpływu nowych technologii na funkcjonowanie społeczeństw w wymiarze holistycznym, stanowi raczej próbę egzegezy jednego z jej obszarów – dotyczącą ewoluowania interakcji międzyludzkich pod wypływem nowych technologii. Niniejsza praca próbuje udzielić odpowiedź na pytanie, czy możliwe je sformułowanie się i funkcjonowanie społeczności wirtualnych, analogicznych do społeczności w świecie rzeczywistym? Czy zatem Internet powinien być przestrzenią nieograniczonej niczym wolności? Autorka konfrontuje ze sobą różnorodne aspekty zagrożeń wolności w Internecie, by uzyskany obszar był kompleksowy i obiektywny, daleki od jednostronności i schematycznych uproszczeń. Internet jest bowiem z założenia egalitarnym narzędziem komunikacji, przestrzenią swobodnego tworzenia i przepływu treści, dla których ograniczeniem jest tylko technologia oraz ludzka wyobraźnia, której granic wyznaczyć nie sposób. Wolność zatem zdaje się być nie tylko immanentną, ale wręcz konstytutywną cechą tej wirtualnej przestrzeni, w której funkcjonuje Internet. Przedmiotowy artykuł wskazuje na potrzebę konsolidacji wysiłków ekspertów w wielu zakresach: bezpieczeństwa, psychologii, prawa nad swobodą wolności społeczeństwa w przestrzeni bezpieczeństwa.
    Freedom seems to be not only an immanent, but even a constitutive feature of the virtual space in which the Internet functions. Based on current observations and current events, threats resulting from the general ability to publish opinions on the Internet have been indicated. This article does not aspire to be a comprehensive explication of the impact of new technologies on the functioning of societies in a holistic dimension, it is rather an attempt at exegesis of one of its areas - concerning the evolution of human interactions under the influence of new technologies. The author addresses various aspects of threats to freedom on the Internet so that the obtained understanding is comprehensive and objective, far from being a one-sided and schematic simplification. The Internet is by definition an egalitarian communication tool, a space for free creation and flow of content, limited only by technology and human imagination, the boundaries of which cannot be defined. The article indicates the need to consolidate the efforts of experts from many areas: security; psychology; law, as it appertains to freedom of society in the security space.

    Etiologia cyberprzestępczości ma charakter złożony i wielowymiarowy a ponadto zależy od wpływu kultury masowej zmieniającej się w perspektywie upowszechniania IT i niekontro-lowanego korzystania z nowych mediów. Dynamiczny rozwój Internetu spowodował, że cyberprzestrzeń stała się obszarem intensywnych działań stalkerów. W przepisach Kodeksu Karne-go, ustawodawca określił dolegliwości karne związane z czynem zabronionym jakim jest stalking i cyberstalking. Celem przedstawionych rozważań było ustalenie czy normy prawne są wystarczające do zwalczania tego zjawiska w przestrzeni społecznej. Artykuł omawia stalking jako przestępstwo oraz kary jakie grożą za jego popełnienie w Polsce i wybranych krajach europejskich. W publikacji zawarto także najważniejsze tezy dotyczące powodów wzrostu liczby przestępstw związanych z nękaniem, ich rozmiary, tendencje oraz sposoby zapobiegania zjawisku.
    The etiology of cybercrime is complex and multidimensional and depends on the im-pact of mass culture changing in terms of IT diffusion and uncontrolled use of social media. The dynamic development of the Internet has made cyberspace an area of intense stalker activity. In the provisions of the Criminal Code, the legislator has defined the penalties relat-ed to the criminal act of stalking and cyberstalking. The aim of the considerations presented in the following article was to determine whether the legal norms are sufficient to fight these phenomena in social space. The article discusses ant-stalking laws in Poland and selected European countries. The publication also contains the most important theses regarding the reasons for the increase in the number of crimes related to harassment, their seriousness, trends and ways of preventing this phenomenon.

    Opis:
    Celem opracowania jest identyfikacja oraz znaczenie aplikacji DEFENSE dla bezpieczeństwa personalnego, użytkownika urządzeń dostępowych, opierając się na teorii uzależnień niechemicznych. Polem badawczym są zachowania użytkowników Internetu odwiedzających strony WWW, gier oraz aplikacji internetowych, społecznościowych (ruch DNS i IP) w relacji do czasu spędzonego w sieci oraz wykrywania zagrożeń na podstawie platformy technologicznej DEFENSE. W niniejszej publikacji opisano innowacyjny system, który bada stopień uzależnienia użytkownika od sieci Internet z wbudowanymi automatycznymi algorytmami rekomendacji działań i prewencji zagrożeń. Platforma technologiczna umożliwia rzeczywistą identyfikację zagrożeń jednostki, nadając kierunek uzależnienia, a ponadto dzięki niej możliwe jest podjęcie skutecznych działań ochronnych dla bezpieczeństwa personalnego. Aplikacja monitoruje ruch sieciowy na wszystkich urządzeniach podłączonych do domowej sieci przewodowej lub bezprzewodowej i przesyła analizę do platformy dokonującej automatycznej klasyfikacji.
    The aim of the study is to identify the importance of the DEFENSE application for the personal security of the user of access devices based on the theory of non-chemical addictions. The research field is the behaviour of Internet users visiting websites, games and Internet and social applications (DNS and IP traffic) in relation to the time spent on the network and detecting threats based on the DEFENSE technological platform. This publication describes an innovative system that examines the degree of user dependence on the Internet with built-in automatic algorithms for recommending actions and preventing threats. The technological platform enables the actual identification of individual threats, giving the direction of addiction, thanks to which it is possible to take effective protective measures for personal security. The application monitors network traffic on all devices connected to your home wired or wireless network and sends these analyses to a platform that performs automatic classification.
