    The article introduces issues concerning the implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) dedicated to the TSL (Transport-Shipping-Logistics) branch. The KPIs are used in different modules of the ERP (Enterprise resource planning) information systems, which support strategic decision making. Selected indicators have been used to create four perspectives of Balanced Scorecard in accordance with Balanced Scorecard methodology. Using the multi-factor method of DEMATEL (Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory) analysis, the evaluation of indicators and Balanced Scorecard’s perspectives has been performed. This article can be useful to persons interested in the implementation of modern solutions in ERP applications dedicated to the TSL branch. Presented article can be useful to persons from upper management of TSL companies who are interested in modern methods of supporting strategic management and for IT system developers who are considering expanding modules of ERP software solutions dedicated to TSL industry which support strategic management and decision making.

    Opis:
    This paper presents an objective method for early diagnosis of disorders and diseases of olfactory system. To achieve this goal the author designed a fragrance dosing prototype, which is synchronized with the dedicated recorder of olfactory evoked potentials. Automatic synchronization of registration of olfactory event-related potentials with dosing of stimulus fragrances enables precise determination of latency occurring between stimulation and response of the central nervous system. Obtained results allow to prove that developed prototype enables the evaluation of the olfactory system disorders in the context of neurodegenerative disorders. However it is necessary to establish a standardization procedures, before a wide implementation in a clinical practice. That is why the developed method requires a broader research which is an issue of a much larger group of patients and significantly longer duration of the study.

    Opis:
    An original method of ERP in SME implementation efficiency assessment (EWE) is developed. It consists of 5 elements, that is: (1) ERP system parameters, (2) SME company parameters, (3) an SME experience which proceeded the ERP project, (4) functionality indicators values, (5) an algorithm that enables ERP and SME characteristics binding – a GMDH algorithm. The application of this method allows predicting economical effects as far as the implementation of ERP is concerned, taking into consideration efficiency indicators in the analyzed company. On the basis of the EWE method, a decision model for ERP efficiency implementation has been developed.

    W artykule opisano studium przypadku - audytu - w branży paliwowej, dotyczącego analizy powdrożeniowej systemu klasy ERP. Głównym celem audytu było opracowanie i zaprezentowanie zarządowi raportu z analizy wdrożenia systemu ERP w badanej firmie oraz przedstawienie procesów i funkcji, które są zaimplementowane w systemie, a także zaproponowanie wprowadzenia niezbędnych zmian w zakresie wykorzystania funkcji systemu ERP. Wypracowano dwa warianty rozwiązań możliwych do realizacji: - przystosowanie istniejącego systemu informatycznego tak, aby otrzymywane informacje były spójne i mogły posłużyć do lepszego zarządzania firmą, - zakupienie i wdrożenie nowego systemu informatycznego klasy ERP. Ostatecznie pozostano przy wariancie pierwszym. Jednakże - wykorzystując przeprowadzone podczas audytu analizy, przemodelowano sposób planowania procesu głównego, zmieniono strukturę organizacyjną - wspierając łańcuch logistyczny i dokonano całkowitej przebudowy strategii rozwoju. Wprowadzone zmiany organizacyjne i uporządkowanie procesów, dobór odpowiedniej kadry oraz determinacja zarządu spowodowały, że firma osiągnęła w pierwszym półroczu zysk.
    The paper presents a case study in fuel branch, i.e. an audit related to post-implementation analysis of ERP system. The audit was aimed mainly at development of a report on analysis of implementation of the ERP system in examined company and presentation of the report to company management. Furthermore the audit was aimed at presentation of processes and functions implemented in the system, and making a proposal for indispensable changes within use of the functions of the ERP system. There have been developed two versions to be possible for realization, i.e. - adaptation of the existing informatics system in such a way to get consistent information to be helpful for better managing the company, or - purchase and implementation of a new informatics ERP system. Finally the first version has been chosen. However as a result of analyses made during audit, a method of planning of the main process was remodelled, the organization chart was changed, and the strategy of development was totally reconstructed with support of the logistics chain. Due to organizational changes, arrangement of processes, selection of right personnel and determination of director.s board, the company made profit just in the first half-year.

    The article presents the issues covering the modern ERP cloud systems for manufacturing companies within the currently developed concept Industry 4.0. In this approach, research problems arose as to which parameters and characteristics of ERP cloud systems are the most important from the point of view of manufacturing companies as well as how the process of choosing an ERP system should be conducted. In addition, mutual relationships between these parameters were established. In the article, a multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) was used to assess these characteristics. The Decision making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) technique was chosen for this assessment. The article can be useful to people interested in modern IT solutions in the production industries.

    Good implementation of an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system differs from unsuccessful one before everything the ability of both foreseeing and reducing the amount and the size of numerous traps which appear at every stage of the life cycle project implementation. In this article, based on the results of questionnaire sent to 50 companies with different employment size, events affecting the failures of the ERP system implementation were identified and on their base a level of risk as well as additional costs related to preventive actions (reducing the probability or effects of the problem occurrence) were investigated. To evaluate the risk values of chosen ERP system implementation tasks, a spot risk assessment method was used.

    This paper presents ERP class system objective assessment method when using the neural systems GMDH basing on the Ivachnienko algorithm. An approach to ERPs evaluation aimed at their successful implementation into a class of the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is considered. The set of performance indices supporting an ERP evaluation in the context of its implementation into a given SME is proposed. Consequently the decision model binding the selected indicators of effectiveness of SME implementation with the parameters of a given ERP system and the parameters of the company as such, which introduced this system is discussed.

    This paper proposes the application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process method to support decision making regarding the selection of an Enterprise Resource Planning system in a manufacturing company. The main assumption of the work is that the management of the selection of an ERP system should consider that the most important selection criteria are concerned with the functionality of the ERP system. Besides this, the aspects of total cost of ownership, technical support and implementation time or vendor experience are taken into consideration to guarantee a successful ERP implementation. The proposed procedure of an ERP system selection is dedicated for small and medium manufacturing enterprises. A structure of attributes for the AHP method is proposed on the basis of an analysis and identification of critical success factors. Different kinds of production (make-to-stock, make-to-order and engineer-to-order are taken into consideration). Illustrative examples are also given.

    Ugruntowanym narzędziem wspomagania zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem jest system informatyczny ERP. Jednakże, ze względu na podział procesu produkcyjnego przedsiębiorstwa kooperują ze sobą tworząc sieci logistyczne. Na ogół takie sieci nie posiadają wyodrębnionej organizacji. Poszczególne przedsiębiorstwa są całkowicie autonomiczne w nawiązywaniu nowych powiązań. Ważnym problemem zarządzania jest dynamika takich sieci. Ze względu na zasady wymiany informacji między przedsiębiorstwami taka sieć wykazuje inercję. Przeciwdziałanie inercji zwiększy konkurencyjność przedsiębiorstw działających w takiej sieci. Odpowiedzią na ten problem, prezentowana w publikacji, jest sterowanie siecią przedsiębiorstw za pomocą metody ATP. Pokazujemy, ze w tym celu można zastosować istniejącą technologie informatyczną – systemy informatyczne ERP wspomagające zarządzanie przedsiębiorstwami. Pozwala to usprawnić zarządzanie przy możliwie małych kosztach reorganizacji i wdrażania nowych technologii informatycznych.
    The well-established tool to help manage the company's ERP system. However, due to the division of the production process of co-operate with each other to form a network of logistics. In general, these networks do not have an identified organization. Individual enterprises are completely autonomous in establishing new relationships. An important problem of the management is the dynamics of such networks. Due to the exchange of information between companies this network shows inertia. Prevention of inertia increase the competitiveness of companies in the network. In response to this problem, presented in the publication, is to control a network of enterprises using the method of ATP. We show that this can be applied to existing technologies, information technology – ERP systems supporting the management of enterprises. This allows to improve the manage with possible small costs of reorganization and implementation of new technologies.

    ERP jest zintegrowanym systemem informatycznym, który scala wszystkie konieczne funkcje ze wspólną bazą danych. Aby z sukcesem przeprowadzić projekt wdrożenia ERP w przedsiębiorstwie, przede wszystkim konieczne jest podjęcie właściwej decyzji o wyborze pasującego do tego przedsiębiorstwa systemu ERP. Artykuł porusza podstawowe problemy związane z procesem wyboru takiego systemu, wskazując jednocześnie nowe podejście do tego zagadnienia. Koncepcja ta wychodzi z założenia, że proces podejmowania decyzji wyboru optymalnego systemu ERP może zostać przeprowadzony z wykorzystaniem metody AHP, tj. wielokryterialnej metody hierarchicznej analizy problemów decyzyjnych.
    An enterprise resource planning (ERP) is an enterprise-wide application software package that integrates all necessary business functions into a single system with a common database. In order to implement an ERP project successfully in an organization, it is necessary to select a suitable ERP system. This paper presents a model, which is based on AHP - the multi-hierarchical method to analysis of decision problems.
