Opis:
In the current work the calculations of the reaction cross-section of total fusion σ fus, the fusion barrier distribution D fus, and the probability P fus were achieved for systems ⁶He+⁶⁴Zn, ⁸B+⁵⁸Ni and ⁸He+¹⁹⁷Au which involve halo nuclei by using a semiclassical approach. The semiclassical and quantum mechanics treatments comprise the approximation of WKB for describing the relative motion among projectile nuclei and target nuclei, and the method of CDCC (Continuum Discretized Coupled Channel) for describing the intrinsic motion for the projectile and target nuclei. Our semiclassical calculations yielded findings that were compared to obtainable experimental data as well as quantum mechanics calculations. For fusion cross-sections σ fus below and above the Coulomb barrier Vb, the quantum mechanics coupled channels are very similar, according to the experimental results.

The aim of this study is to analyse a non-uniform process of palatalization in the Mid- dle English Northern dialect, with the main focus on the range of operation of the pro- cess, its conditioning environment and the direction of the change in the four lemmas: EACH, MUCH, SUCH, and WHICH. The fact that palatalization was an active process in the North has been proved by 47% of the Northern texts from the Innsbruck Cor- pus of Middle English Prose, which have demonstrated cases of palatalization in the forms of the lemmas. Referring to the studies of a perceptually motivated sound change and observing certain correlations between the palatalization processes occurring now and in the past, one may infer that the scope of palatalization in the North might have been even wider.

Modelling of the continuum damage framework, is developed for application in the elasto-viscoplastic Chaboche constitutive model. A brief description of the basic variant of the Chaboche model equations is given, followed by a discussion of the most important assumptions necessary to obtain evolution of the continuum damage model and its appli-cation to the open FE commercial program. A consistent presentation of the two proposed approaches is followed by numerical examples.

This monograph aims to present how arduously views on plant nutrition shaped over centuries and how the foundation of environmental knowledge concerning these issues was created. Niniejsze opracowanie stawia sobie za cel ukazanie, jak mozolnie na przestrzeni wieków kształtowały się poglądy dotyczące odżywiania roślin i powstawał fundament wiedzy przyrodniczej dotyczący tej problematyki. W publikacji przedstawiono także współczesne problemy i kierunki badań dotyczące odżywiania roślin, ukazując ich nowy wymiar, zdeterminowany z jednej strony potrzebą wyżywienia zwiększającej się w postępie geometrycznym populacji globu ziemskiego i z drugiej narastającymi problemami środowiskowymi z tytułu intensyfikacji produkcji rolniczej.

In the last decade, there has been a major interest in content-based instruction (CBI) and content and language integrated learning (CLIL). These are similar approaches which integrate content and foreign/second language learning through various methodologies and models as a result of different implementations around the world. In this paper, I first offer a sociocultural view of CBI-CLIL. Secondly, I define language and content as vital components in CBI-CLIL. Thirdly, I review the origins of CBI and the continuum perspective, and CLIL definitions and models featured in the literature. Fourth, I summarise current aspects around research in programme evaluation. Last, I review the benefits and challenges of this innovative approach so as to encourage critically context-responsive endeavours.

The State of Israel, like other developed countries around the world, engages intensively in the thinking about and care of students with special needs (SwSN). Israel attempts to open rang of possibilities to this population in its considerable diversity, while responding to the challenges faced by the population of students defined in Israel as „special education”. This article presents the developing approaches, which are at the basis of the special educational system in Israel, as a case study of the reference to SwSn. The first part of the article presents the ideological elements of the special education system in Israel throughout its historical development, and the second part presents the way in which the continuum of the educational frameworks was understood to serve the educational perception.

Artykuł przedstawia wielowymiarowy model kontinuum środowiska edukacyjnego nauczycieli w ponowoczesnym świecie, implikowany gwałtownym rozwojem ICT (Information and Communication Technology). Zaprojektowana koncepcja jest efektem analizy literatury uzupełnionej wynikami badań empirycznych − diagnostyczno-korelacyjnych, o charakterze ilościowo-jakościowym, ustalających kompetencje informacyjne 1160 nauczycieli w zakresie wykorzystywania metod i narzędzi ICT. Wyznaczono wartości brzegowe tego modelu (pojęcia-konstrukty „chmura” i „silos”) oraz ich desygnaty dla sześciu warstw obejmujących: technologię, społeczeństwo, ekonomię, wiedzę, kulturę, filozofię (epistemologię, aksjologię). Podjęto próbę dookreślenia środowiska edukacyjnego działalności nauczycieli w dobie technologicznych i cywilizacyjnych przemian.
The article presents a multi-dimensional model of the continuum of teacher’s activity in the educational environment in the postmodern world implied by the rapid development of ICT (Information and Communication Technology). The designed concept is the result of the analysis of the literature supplemented with the results of the empirical diagnostic/correlative research of a quantitative and qualitative character, specifying information competences of 1160 teachers in the use of ICT methods and tools. The boundary values of the model (the concept-constructs “cloud” and “silo”) were determined as well as their referents to six layers including: technology, society, economy, knowledge, culture, philosophy (epistemology, axiology). An attempt was also made to better specify the teachers’ activity in the educational environment in athe era of technological and cultural change.

The article presents a multi-dimensional model of a continuum in educational environment as far as teachers’ activity in the postmodern world, inundated with rapidly developing Information and Communication Technology (ICT), is concerned. The conception is designed by means of literature analysis, complemented with the findings of empirical/diagnostic/correlative research of quantitative/ qualitative character, meant to pinpoint the levels of 1160 teachers’ information literacy within the area of the use of ICT tools and methods. The boundary values of the model were determined (i.e., the concept-constructs of “cloud” and “silo”) together with their referents to six layers, including: technology, society, economy, knowledge, culture and philosophy (epistemology, axiology). In spite of their industrial success, the development of intelligent systems is still a complex and risky task. When building intelligent systems, we see that domain knowledge is often present at different levels of formalization-ranging from text documents to explicit rules. In this paper, we describe the knowledge formalization continuum as a metaphor to help domain specialists during the knowledge acquisition phase. To make use of the knowledge formalization continuum, the agile use of knowledge representations within a knowledge engineering project is proposed, as well as transitions between the different representations, when required. We show that a semantic wiki is a flexible tool for engineering knowledge on the knowledge formalization continuum. Case studies are taken from one industrial and one academic project, and they illustrate the applicability and benefits of semantic wikis in combination with the knowledge formalization continuum.
