Do oceny okresów posusznych w rejonie Bydgoszczy w okresie wegetacyjnym wykorzystano: metodę ciągów dni bezopadowych, klasyfikację opadów Kaczorowskiej na podstawie wskaźnika względnego opadu i klasyfikację Marcilonka na podstawie rozkładu prawdopodobieństwa opadu. W rejonie Bydgoszczy opady atmosferyczne są małe i często występują okresy posuszne. W latach 1972-2001 w ciągu okresu wegetacyjnego notowano średnio dwa okresy posuszne trwające 11-15 dni i jeden trwający 15-20 dni. Co drugi rok występował okres posuszny trwający ponad 20 dni. Najdłuższy okres bezopadowy trwał 38 dni, a średnio w badanym wieloleciu 21-22 dni.
Three methods were used to evaluate dry periods in the Bydgoszcz region in the growing season: sequences of the days without precipitation, the relative precipitation index and the Kaczorowska's classification, the probability distribution of precipitation and the Marcilonek's classification. Low precipitation and dry periods are common in the Bydgoszcz region. In the growing season of the years 1972-2001 two dry periods of 11-15 days and one period lasting 15-20 days were noted on the average. The period lasting more then 20 days occurred every second year. The longest period without precipitation lasted 38 days and the long term mean duration was 21-22 days. About 50-60 days with atmospheric drought may be expected every year. Dry period may occur every month. According to the Kaczorowska's and Marcilonek's classifications April, May, June and September were the most often dry months with the frequency of over 40%. Because a month is the shortest period for evaluation of precipitation in the Kaczorowska's and Marcilonek's methods, they are not useful for operational monitoring of droughts. The method of sequences of days without precipitation can be useful for this purpose providing the reliable rainfall breaking a dry period is determined. - Źródło:
