    Opis:
    Phase equilibria in Gd$\text{}_{2}$O$\text{}_{3}$-CeO$\text{}_{2}$-CuO system were studied based on samples obtained from appropriate mixtures of the starting components, prepared by a conventional solid state reaction in air. The phase relations prevalent in this system have been deduced based on X-ray diffraction of well-equilibrated samples. An isothermal cross-section diagram through the system at 980°C is presented and chemical constitution of the Ce-doped Gd$\text{}_{2}$CuO$\text{}_{4}$ phase is proposed.

    Ecological policy and its instruments essentially affect economy and other spheres of social. In practice, the management of environmental resources has two models of regulation. The latter makes it possible to reach the ends of ecological policy: the direct method based on administrative steps taken to define the levels of reducing pollution released to the environment; the indirect method means to create behaviours and preferences concerning thestate in which it is possible to reach a socially-acceptable level of production and consumption, thereby accomplishing a socially-acceptable level of pollution. (The paper discusses only part of the issues that establish the instruments of ecological policy of the state as regards the protection of the air. The problems of instruments called instruments of direct regulation will be published in the following „Annal of Natural Sciences”, fsc. 1). Both methods use their respective instruments, by means of which the state monitors entrepreneurs and other organizational units in order to enforce them to take such actions that are desirable from the point of view of the policy to protect the environment. Additionally, one can distinguish a group of instruments in the system of the instruments of direct regulation that I call instruments of the execution of law. Their specific character consists in their manner of influence on entrepreneurs, for their task is not so much to impose duties as regard protection of the environment, but to safeguard the performance of duties that have already been imposed by virtue of administrative decisions or common rules. These instruments play the role of supporting means to accomplish the ends of ecological policy. What I mean here is the following: fines for the encroachment on the demands of the protection of the environment, closing down the company or the exploitation of machines and devices that are hazardous for the environment.

    Two samples of nominal composition Gd$\text{}_{1.80}$Ce$\text{}_{0.15}$CuO$\text{}_{4.0}$ and Gd$\text{}_{1.85}$Ce$\text{}_{0.15}$CuO$\text{}_{4.075}$ were subjected for a long-term treatment in air at 1100°C, comprised with a precise control of their weights vs. time of the treatment applied. The gravimetric analysis and the iodometric titration, both showed a deficiency on Cu-site, steadily increasing vs. time with a slight tendency to a saturation. The X-ray analysis of the resulting products showed that even after 272 h of sintering, the samples remained single phase of the "214" structure type. Refinement of their crystal structures as well as density measurements, both allowed confirming Cu deficient structure constitution of these samples. Results of dc-magnetization measurements, performed prior to reduction of the sample's overall oxygen content, did not show any sign of superconductivity down to 4.2 K. These preliminary results indicate that copper deficiency, developing during synthesis, may occur to be a decisive factor for the reported lack of superconductivity in Ce-doped Gd$\text{}_{2}$CuO$\text{}_{4}$ phase. Oxygen content reduction and further tests on the samples obtained are in progress.

    W pracy przedyskutowano zastosowania nadprzewodników wysokotemperaturowych w ogranicznikach prądowych. Przedstawiono konstrukcję modelu rezystywnego, nadprzewodnikowego ogranicznika prądu zwarcia, przeznaczonego do ograniczania prądu o natężeniu rzędu kilkudziesięciu amperów oraz przygotowania do konstrukcji indukcyjnego ogranicznika. Przedstawiono model matematyczny działania ogranicznika. W rezystywnej konstrukcji wykorzystano taśmy nadprzewodnikowe z nadprzewodnika typu Bi:2223 pracujące w otoczeniu ciekłego azotu, podczas gdy przewiduje się wykonać prototyp indukcyjnego ogranicznika w oparciu o ekrany nadprzewodnikowe również z nadprzewodnika opartego na bizmucie. Przedstawiono rezultaty prac technologicznych nad uzyskaniem tych ekranów i analizę dyfraktograficzną otrzymanych proszków bizmutowych typu Bi:2212, spieczonych z polskich surowców. Jakkolwiek uzyskano jednorodny rentgenograficznie materiał typu Bi:2212, to jednak przejście nadprzewodzące zmierzone metodami magnetycznymi było dość rozmyte. Wymaga to kontynuacji prac nad uzyskaniem materiałów o odpowiednich parametrach nadprzewodnikowych.
    Applications of HTc superconductors in the fault current limiters has been discussed. A model of the constructed resistive type superconducting fault current limiter has been presented, which is devoted to current limitation at the level of several dozen of amperes, as well as the preparation for construction of the inductive type superconducting current limiter. The mathematical model of limiters has been discussed. In the resistive model the HTc superconducting Bi:2223 tapes have been used, working in liquid nitrogen environment. It is expected too built a model of inductive fault current limiter in which the active element would be the superconducting shields. Results of the technological work on the design of these superconducting shields, using the commercially available powders are presented. The diffractographic analysis of prepared materials was presented too. Although a homogeneous (from the crystallographic point of view) material of the type Bi:2212 was obtained, the superconducting transition curves were relatively wide. Continuation of the work on the superconducting materials technology process is recessary.

    Growth in online sales results in an increase in the number of containers remaining in economic circulation, causing both economic (increased costs of container production, storage and disposal) and environmental effects. One way to reduce the scale of this problem would be to introduce reusable packaging, which enterprises could use as part of their e-commerce solutions. The question remains, however, whether the customers are ready for this. What is their opinion on implementing such a solution? Would they be willing to pay a deposit for using such containers? This paper aims to suggest individual returnable packaging solutions that can be used in e-commerce to manifest corporate social responsibility and reflect customer attitudes towards them. The paper is empirical, with the empirical part presenting the results of the author's study.
    Rosnąca sprzedaż on-line, wpływa na wzrost ilości opakowań będących w obiegu gospodarczym, wywołując tak efekty ekonomiczne (wzrost kosztów wytworzenia opakowań, przechowywania i utylizacji), jak i środowiskowe. Sposobem na zmniejszenie skali problemu mogłoby stać się opakowanie wielokrotnego użytku, które byłoby stosowane przez przedsiębiorstwa w ramach e-commerce. Pytanie: czy klienci są na to gotowi? Jaka jest ich opinia na temat wdrożenia takiego rozwiązania? Czy byliby skłonni płacić kaucje za korzystanie z takiego opakowania? Celem artykułu jest wskazanie jednostkowego opakowania zwrotnego możliwego do zastosowania w e-commerce jako przejawu społecznej odpowiedzialności przedsiębiorstwa oraz postaw klientów wobec tego rozwiązania. Artykuł ma charakter empiryczny – część empiryczna przedstawia wyniki badań własnych.

    Purpose: Circular economy affects the need for changes in the area of packaging in e-commerce. The article demonstrates the results of the research conducted in the field of expectations regarding the features of the packaging already present on the e-commerce market in accordance with the circular economy model as well as those concerning the online buyers’ expectations regarding the parameters of packaging currently available and planned to be introduced - reusable unit packaging. Design/methodology/approach: A review of the selected literature enabled the depiction of the essence of the circular economy and its implications for the functioning of packaging in e-commerce. Own research was conducted using the survey method - the questionnaire in an electronic form was made available from 04 May to 26 June 2021. 1213 respondents from all over the country took part in the survey. Findings: Effective implementation of circular economy entails the introduction of modifications in each link of the supply chain - including packaging used in e-commerce and reverse logistics, i.e., employment of returnable packaging. This will require the cooperation of product manufacturers with packaging producers, logistics operators and transport companies servicing the last mile, and consequently the creation of new business models in supply chains that require close cooperation in the handling of returnable unit packaging. Research limitations/implications: Since the selection of the sample for the study was non¬random - the snowball method was used, the study itself is unrepresentative and the results cannot be generalized to the entire population of Poland. Research on the implementation of returnable unit packaging in e-commerce should be continued in the light of the circular economy requirements. Practical implications: Study results enable the indication of the features of the returnable unit packaging in e-commerce indicated as important by the respondents, mainly: the material of the packaging (degradable, biodegradable or recyclable); reusability; protection against external factors (including unauthorized opening); packaging size that corresponds to the size of the product; how the product is packaged and the type of closure (e.g. ease of opening); resilience. The respondents see the need to introduce returnable packaging in e-commerce. Social implications: The new social (influence on customer behavior to return packaging) and institutional (redesign of supply chains to improve reverse logistics) conditions will be required to introduce the returnable unit packaging in e-commerce, but then it may contribute to e.g., waste and carbon footprint reduction. Originality/value: The article draws attention to a very narrow section of the circular economy model which covers the reusable unit packaging that can be used in e-commerce (to reduce the scale of packaging waste production in Poland/Europe). The results of the research may be cognitively interesting for the entities that operate on the e-commerce market - both producers of goods and logistics operators.
