W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań dotyczące systemu P+R w Warszawie i aglomeracji warszawskiej ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem parkingów P+R położonych w pobliżu stacji kolejowych. Jednym z głównych celów badań było wyznaczenie czynników, które wpływają na atrakcyjność parkingów P+R oraz na stopień ich wykorzystywania. Kompleksowość wykonanych badań polegała na objęciu obserwacjami samochodów parkowanych nie tylko na zorganizowanych parkingach P+R, ale również samochodów parkowanych poza nimi, np. w celu uniknięcia opłaty parkingowej. Zbadano jaką rolę pełnią poszczególne parkingi P+R oraz cały system P+R w aglomeracji warszawskiej i jaki może być potencjalny wpływ systemu na wzrost liczby podróży odbywanych kolejami podmiejskimi. Przedstawione wnioski mogą zostać wykorzystane do planowania kolejnych parkingów P+R, zmian organizacji istniejących parkingów P+R oraz w pracach planistycznych związanych rozwojem systemów transportu w miastach i w aglomeracjach.
The paper presents the results of the “P+R” system study in Warszawa and the Warszawa agglomeration with particular emphasis on “P + R” parking lots located close to the railway station. One of the main objectives of the research was to determine the factors that influence the attractiveness of “P + R” parking lots and on the degree of their usage. The complexity of performed research is consisted in taking observations of parked cars, not only in organized “P + R” parking lots, but also cars parked outside, for example in order to avoid the parking fee. The role of individual “P + R” parking lot, and the whole system of “P + R” parking lots in the Warszawa agglomeration, and what might be the potential impact of the increasing number of suburban rail journeys have been examined. The findings can be used to plan the next “P + R” parking lots, to establish changes in the organization of the existing “P + R” car parks and for planning decisions related to the transport systems development in cities and urban areas.

Zbigniew Brzeziński was one of the leading figures influencing the creation of international reality. His concepts, ideas, ideas are widely echoed not only in the United States but all over the world. From an early age, this American political scientist of Polish origin showed interest in international relations, the best example of which is the letter he sent at a very young age to Winston Churchill’s headquarters with a map, where he marked the right border between Poland and the Soviet Union. It was an expression of dissatisfaction with the arrangements made at the Tehran conference. The spectrum of interests of this great strategist is very wide. However, he devoted most of his attention to what was happening in the Kremlin. He was actively involved in the foreign policy of the United States, on which he had a great influence, especially during the presidency of Jimmy Carter. In his administration, he was the president’s advisor for national security. He was a supporter of a tough course in international relations, which is why he was perceived as a „hawk”. The levels of Zbigniew Brzeziński’s dynamically developing scientific and political career, I prove that he is both a theoretician, practitioner and politician actively involved in various areas of international politics. Among the numerous events influencing the development of Brzeziński’s political career, he was undoubtedly appointed in 1973 by David Rockeffeller as the head of the Trilateral Commission, where he met Carter, as it later turned out, the president of the United States, in whose election campaign he was heavily involved.

Zaufanie społeczne uważane jest za jeden z elementów umożliwiających skuteczne funkcjonowanie społeczeństwa. Coraz częściej postrzega się je również jako zmienną pozytywnie wpływającą na utrwalanie demokracji, stabilizowanie systemów politycznych oraz kształtowanie postaw obywatelskich. W związku z powyższym głównym celem niniejszego artykułu jest próba zidentyfikowania poziomu zaufania oraz zaangażowania obywatelskiego w wybranych miastach postprzemysłowych Europy Środkowo-Wchodniej oraz określenia siły i kierunku współzależności między zaufaniem a wskaźnikami społeczeństwa obywatelskiego i postaw obywatelskich, tj. zainteresowania mieszkańców funkcjonowaniem sfery publicznej, zadowoleniem z porządku panującego w kraju, partycypacją i podmiotowością polityczną.
Social trust is considered to be one of the most important elements enables the effective functioning of society. It is also more and more often seen as a variable positively affecting the consolidation of democracy, the stabilization of the political systems and the formation of citizenship. Therefore, the main objective of this article is an attempt to identify the level of social trust and civic engagement and participation in selected postindustrial cities of Central and Eastern Europe. Moreover the aim of the article is to determine the strength and direction of correlation between level of social trust and indicators of civic society and citizenship (inhabitants’ interest of the public sphere and public issues; satisfaction with the political, social and economic order in the country; political participation and political subjectivity).

Homoseksualizm jest problemem, który dotyka − według różnych danych − ok. 3-4% ludności. W ostatnich latach problem osób homoseksualnych stał się bardzo medialny, a osoby o takich tendencjach domagają się przyznania im różnych praw, m.in. zrównania związków homoseksualnych z małżeństwami heteroseksualnymi czy adopcji dzieci. Biorąc pod uwagę aktualność problemu, na podstawie analizy dokumentów Kościoła katolickiego pragniemy wykazać nieadekwatność takich dążeń. Punktem wyjścia jest przywołanie pierwotnego zamysłu Boga wobec człowieka stworzonego mężczyzną i niewiastą oraz powołania ich do małżeństwa, którego celem jest zrodzenie i wychowanie potomstwa. Jest to również podstawa ukazania godności każdej osoby ludzkiej, w tym także osób o tendencjach homoseksualnych. Z kolei przedstawiona jest kwestia homoseksualizmu i zła moralnego czynów homoseksualnych. Ukazanie, że złe są czyny a nie sama tendencja homoseksualna. W dalszej części przedstawiona jest niemożliwość prawnego uznania i zrównania związków homoseksualnych z małżeństwem heteroseksualnym, między innymi ze względu na zasadę dobra wspólnego społeczeństwa.
Homosexuality is a problem that affects approximately 3-4% of the population, according to various data. In recent years, the problem of homosexual people has become very media-oriented, and people with such tendencies demand that they be granted various rights, including equating homosexual relationships with heterosexual marriages or adopting children. Taking into account the topicality of the problem on the basis of the analysis of the documents of the Catholic Church, we would like to show the inadequacy of such aspirations.The starting point is to recall the original plan of God for man created male and female and to call them to marriage, the purpose of which is to give birth and raise children. It is also the basis for showing the dignity of every human person independently, including people with homosexual tendencies. On the other hand, the issue of homosexuality and moral evil of homosexual acts is presented. Demonstrating that actions are wrong and not the homosexual tendency itself. The next part presents the impossibility of legally recognizing and equating homosexual relationships with heterosexual marriage e.g. due to the principle of the common good of society.

The aim of the paper is to present these events and experiences whose occurrence in the life of a noble family in late‑medieval Poland was the consequence of the death of husband and father. This was achieved by means of reconstructing the life story of Elżbieta, the fourth wife of the Kalisz‑district chamberlain Rafał of Gołuchowo from the Wieniawa family, as well as that of his sons and daughter (Iwan, Rafał, Jan, Andrzej, and Cherubin, and their sister Barbara), after his death. This reconstruction essentially provided insight into such activities undertaken by them or with their participation as taking ownership of the property left to the widow, establishing custody of the children that had not yet come of age and of their assets, establishing guardianship of the as yet unmarried daughter and regulating the payment of her part of the family money in the form of a monetary dowry, and, in time, dividing the family estate between the brothers. These actions were, in a way, a natural consequence of the death of husband and father, and were a part of the life of most families living in those times. An analysis of their realisation in social practice based on relevant records in court’s registers allow to understand the underlying legal customs, only partly reflected in the norms of the written law, as well as the events and experiences which resulted from the death of husband and father for his wife and children, and the role played by their relatives in this period of their lives.
