Opis:
Four rams (body weight 50 kg) fitted with ruminal and simple duodenal oannulae were fed at random, in six 14-day periods, rations in a loose (S) and pelleted (G) form, containing 70% of dehydrated maize plant and 0, 1.25 and 2.5% of urea (respectively rations SO, SI, SII and GO, GI, GII). The urea doses were assumed to cover 100 and 200% of the deficiency of rumen degradable N /ARC, 1980/. The duodenal flow of microbial protein N (NBM) was in groups S 8.17, 13,8 and 14.6 g and in G 10.8, 13.7 and 16.1 g/24h. The yield of NBM/100 g O.M. apparently digested in the rumen was, respectively, 1.16, 2.18, 2.00 and 1.66, 2.24, 2.86 g. The effect of physical form on NBM flow and yield was significant (P ˂ 0.05). N-NH₃ level in the rumen fluid was lower in groups S than G, being probably a reason for higher NBM synsynthesis in groups G. Better utilization of urea at its highest level (2.5%) from the pelleted ration can be caused by the decreased degradation in the rumen of feed protein due to pelleting process.
Четыре барана (масса тела 50 кг) с фистулой в жвач и прямой фистулой в двенадцатиперстную кишку кормили по методу случайной выборки в шести 14-дневных периодах сыпучими (s) и гранулирован-ными (G) рационами, содержащими 70% дегидратизированной кукурузы и 0, 1,25 и 2,5% мочевины (рационы SO, SI, SII, GO, GI, GII). Дозы мочевины возмещали 100 и 200% затрат ш, подвергающегося разложению в рубце, вычисленных по ARC (1980). Переход в двенадцатиперстной кишке N белка микроорганизмов (NБМ) в группах s составлял 8,2, 13,8 и 14,6 в группах G 10.8, 13,7 и 16,1 г/сутки, а эффективность синтеза NБМ/100 г органического вещества, перевариваемого в рубце составляла 1,16; 2,18 и 2,00; 1,66; 2,24 и 2,86 соответственно. Влияние физической формы на переход и эффективность синтеза NБМ было существенным (П < 0,05). Уровень N-NH₃в рубцовой жидкости был меньше в группах S, чем в G (П < 0,01) в 0, 2, 4 и 5 часов после кормления. Эту разницу можно объяснить более высоким синтезом NБМ в группах G. Лучшее использование дозы 2,5% мочевины из гранулята может быть вызвано понижением коэффициента разложения белка корма в рубце вследствие гранулирования.

The microbiological research on the area of the palaeontological site in Starunia (Ukraine) reveals the details of biological activity of the near-surface layers and Quaternary sediments. In Starunia area remnants of a mammoth and three woolly rhinoceroses, and one almost completely preserved rhinoceros carcass were found in 1907 and 1929. The gained quantitative results regarding the occurrence of different physiological groups of microorganisms show that their number varied significantly depending on the sampling place, sampling depth, pH, humidity and the organic matter content. The amount and differentiation of the tested groups of microorganisms typically decreased with the depth. In several deep-sampling locations there was increase in the microorganisms, especially with methanogens and methanotrophs. The metanogens occurred mainly in Pleistocene sediments, comprised of clayey mud and peat, while saprophytic microorganisms (bacteria, fungi and actinomycetes) occur in Holocene sediments comprised of clayey mud, peat and peat mud. The quantity of microorganisms in selected boreholes was related to high concentration of the organic matter (mainly peat and peat mud) and correlated with methane occurrence.

Introduction: Health perception is a complex issue and determined by various factors. When assessing health there are positive, negative and intermediate measurements, as well as health indicators including the following criteria: subjective, objective and social. Purpose: To determine the relationship between subjective health assessment, physical fitness and cardiorespiratory fitness. Materials and Methods: The study included 1.000 high school adolescents from Poland and Ukraine. Two questionnaires were used in the study: an original questionnaire, and a standardized 20 m shuttle run test with PACER (Progressive Aerobic Cardiovascular Endurance Run), enabling indirect assess of VO2 max. Results: Significant differences between subjective health assessment, physical fitness and cardiorespiratory fitness were found. The best health self-assessment and physical fitness, the best cardiorespiratory fitness results were obtained among adolescents. Polish youth better assessed their health in comparison to the peers from Ukraine. Conclusions: There is a relation between subjective health assessment and the objective parameters. When measuring health state of individuals or groups it is worth consider a subjective criterion of health.

Opis:
The paper offers a new approach to handling difficult parametric inverse problems in elasticity and thermo-elasticity, formulated as global optimization ones. The proposed strategy is composed of two phases. In the first, global phase, the stochastic hp-HGS algorithm recognizes the basins of attraction of various objective minima. In the second phase, the local objective minimizers are closer approached by steepest descent processes executed singly in each basin of attraction. The proposed complex strategy is especially dedicated to ill-posed problems with multimodal objective functionals. The strategy offers comparatively low computational and memory costs resulting from a double-adaptive technique in both forward and inverse problem domains. We provide a result on the Lipschitz continuity of the objective functional composed of the elastic energy and the boundary displacement misfits with respect to the unknown constitutive parameters. It allows common scaling of the accuracy of solving forward and inverse problems, which is the core of the introduced double-adaptive technique. The capability of the proposed method of finding multiple solutions is illustrated by a computational example which consists in restoring all feasible Young modulus distributions minimizing an objective functional in a 3D domain of a photo polymer template obtained during step and flash imprint lithography.
