Opis:: The main aim of this work was the application of the soil additives into soil and the study of their impact on the amount of surface runoff originating from rainwater. Execution of research was carried out on the modified portion of the land at Department of Biometeorology and Hydrology, SUA Slovakia. Land was divided into four experimental plots. Individual treatments consisted of application of perlite, charcoal and water glass into the top layer of the experimental plots. The fourth experimental field was kept as a black fallow (control). To perform the measurements, rainfall simulator was used in six measurement series. We can conclude that the application of perlite is not an adequate treatment for erosion control practices, since its application increased the surface runoff. Increased application dose of additives resulted in the positive effects of the water glass application. Surface runoff for this treatment decreased in average by about 41% in comparison to control. This positive effect was observed only after the second application of the soil additives.

Opis:: Phenomena associated with inter-turn short-circuit in stator winding of squirrel-cage motor were investigated. Investigations were realized with field-circuit mathematical model and physical model of motor. Short-circuit happens when motor is working with nominal load. Based on this assumption time characteristics of stator phase currents, currents in short-circuited turns and instantaneous power of motor, were calculated. Two causes were investigated: short-circuit of four turns and whole coil (51 turns). Influence of resistance value in short-circuited point on electromechanical phenomena was investigated too.

Opis:: The work presents calculation results of a small (1.5 kW) squirrel cage induction motor. The influence of slots width opening on efficiency and other operating characteristics of the motor was examined. The efficiency calculations were realized by finding distribution of time-harmonic magnetic field in a two-dimensional field-circuit motor model. Calculations for different combination of stator and rotor slot width openings showed influence of these geometric parameters on shape of magnetic field in motor air-gap. Field harmonic analysis shows that there is a possibility to decrease slot harmonics and in consequence, increase motor efficiency and other parameters.

Opis:: Field-circuit model of electric machine can be used for investigation of its structural components shape influence on operating characteristics. The high power induction motor model was applied to examine effects of rotor bar shape modification, consisting in replacement the trapezium shape bar with rectangular bar. Torque and current characteristics and characteristic quantity of start-up torque and current, maximum torque and critical slip were determined with field-circuit model. Electromagnetic torque, currents and rotational speed, as function of time during motor start, were determined also. The effect of rotor bar height change were examined in similar way. All rotor bar shape modifications were realized with constant cross-sectional area. The results confirm, that the exchange of bars in considered design will bring economic profits and won't cause significant deterioration of operating features.

Opis:: Referring to a Hungarian Government supported healthcare project "Intelligent tool and methodology to monitor and safeguard childhood spine deformities" (SPINE GUARD) the Department of Mechatronics, Optics and Information Engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics developed a new complex optical measuring equipment built up a projector and a digital camera. If the computer controlled projector projects an equidistant grid of lines then the camera takes a picture from a different position about the object to be measured and with a special software removing the grid lighted background there will be a virtual Moiré effect. After some picture processing the 3D (2,5D) reconstruction is finished. In an other working way the projector lights a rainbow on the object. The edges of the rainbow lines cut the crosssection of objects. An other special software reconstructs the 3D (2,5D) objects from the camera captured cross-section curves. Presentation is about the principle of measuring and evaluation of results and precision.

Opis:: The top-seeded solution growth method was used to grow NdBCOss single crystals in air. The microstructure of the samples has shown that the oxygenation crack structure developed in the single crystals. The intrinsic critical current density was estimated to be at least twice higher than the value of volume critical current density determined from the magnetization measurements.

Opis:: The work presented calculation results of a small power (1.5 kW) squirrel cage motor warm-up. Computation was realized with normal load. There is two models: one with non-damaged rotor and second one with three broken rotor bars. Calculation of coupling transient magneto-thermal field was realized with two-dimensional field-circuit motor model. There is a linear temperature characteristic of aluminum resistivity in squirrel cage, and a linear temperature characteristic of a thermal parameters in squirrel cage and core. Heating characteristic of motor with non-damaged rotor and another one with three broken rotor bars was compared. Heat distribution in rotor was investigated in both situation, in thermal transient state and after.

Opis:: Polycrystalline La_{0.67}Ca_{0.33-x}Sr_xMnO₃ (x=0.33, 0.03, 0) (LCSM) perovskite samples treated by spark plasma sintering technique were investigated. This study proved influence of the sintering temperature on microstructure of these perovskite ceramics. The thermogravimetric measurements revealed the possibility of increase of oxygen content in studied LCSM samples by additional annealing under oxygen atmosphere and low temperature. Finally, the effect of this annealing on magnetic properties was demonstrated.

Opis:: Magnetization measurements at 77 K were conducted on the single-crystalline samples of YBCO superconductor doped with Ag prepared by the top-seeded melt-growth process. The single-grain samples had a nominal composition $Y_{1.5}Ba_2(Cu,Ag)_3O_{y}$. Magnetization measurements on the samples, oxygenated by two different processes: by standard oxygenation and by high pressure oxygenation, repeated after 24 months, revealed time dependent changes in magnetization behaviour and critical transition temperatures, T_{c}, which could be associated with redistribution of oxygen vacancies and their interaction with Ag dopant atoms.
