Opis:
A two-phase model of dynamical behavior of magnetic liquid influenced by constant magnetic field is considered. The model takes into account mutual interaction of clusters giving skeleton's stiffness and interaction of clusters with free liquid producing attenuation and dispersion of waves for transversally isotropic system. Rotational degrees of freedom are disregarded. Predictions of the model are discussed for variable amount of clusters and compared with experimental data for different magnetic fields.

Opis:
The module of pulsed power electrohydraulic installation equipped with a technological tank having 2 working electrodes, storing energy up to 3 kJ at average power of 10 kW was constructed and tested. As power switching elements pseudospark switches of TDI-type were used. During the tests organic materials (flax straw) were processed. In the paper various factors, affecting PSS electrodes erosion, are considered. Valuable recommendations on providing the best service time of the switches are summarized. The major object of the investigations is the development of technological system capable of providing a continuous production process with power consumption up to hundreds of kWh with large volumes (up to several tons) processed materials transportation. The process continuity substantially reduces cost of processing, simplifies design, and improves operational characteristics of the device and finally increases competitiveness of the production.

The stock market balance can be presented as a result of mutual effect of the supply and demand on the market. This creates high-frequency dynamics of prices for shares, what in turn leads to the appearance of the three-dimensional rotary trajectories of the market. The 3-D space is a Cartesian product: prices, volumes, and time. In this space whirling vectors form rotary-spiral trajectories and, they in turn, determine in the appropriate time periods side surfaces of solids of revolution, which rotate as well. Perpendicular projections of rotary trajectories on planes with standing out time axis cause that economic rotary phenomena are depicted on the mentioned planes by means of flat zigzags. Double rotating of economic vectors resembles precession movement. This is the precession movement which guarantees oscillating-rotating vectors around the hypothetical line of economic balance. Economic vectors are always set in rotary motion mainly by stimulating the vectors of demand and supply. Dynamically changing volumes of the mentioned forces cause that permanent state of economic balance practically do not exist in market reality. In the modified by the authors cobwebbed model states of fragile balance are explained by means of precession and accompanying it nutation. The rotary movement occurs universally in our world. The effects of vortexes from the world of nature are extremely quickly reflected in changing in chaotic way forces of demand and supply which in turn are the main generators of economic vortexes. Then the relationship is unambiguous and can be expressed by a short general statement claiming that vortexes generate vortexes regardless of the environment in which they occur. The resemblance between the rotary trajectories observed in hydrodynamics and the stock market rotary-spiral trajectory was the inspiration of the work for creating the econophysical analogue of the so-called stock market Reynolds number (R_{e}). The academic community has long sought a description of the phenomenon of turbulence in financial markets, and this article is an attempt to face this challenge. The original idea behind developing an economic equivalent of the Reynolds number was that market vectors of volumes, prices and time components can be treated as particles of a stream of liquid flowing through a pipe of a given cross-section. The Reynolds number, defined in this way, can be applied in research into the dynamics of stock exchange indices and, in particular, for the development of short-term warning forecasts. Additionally, it can be treated as a coefficient confirming (or rejecting) long-term stock market predictions.

Surface chiral formation of Cu films was investigated in the galvanostatic electrodeposition under a magnetic field of 5 T perpendicular to the electrode surface. The surface chirality was examined by electrochemical voltammograms of a chiral molecule of tartaric acid. The chiral induction depended on the magnetoelectrodeposition time, and this implied that the formation of the self-organized state of magnetohydrodynamic flows around the electrode is crucial for the chiral formation.

Composition-depth profiling using different emission angles of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy showed surface enhancement of platinum concentration of the CoPt(30at%) alloy extensively annealed to 1000~K in ultrahigh vacuum. The results are compared with theoretical predictions basing on models with no crystal face dependence.

The chiral activities of electrodeposited surfaces fabricated under vertical magnetic fields were theoretically examined. Chiral activities arise from the micro-vortexes, called micro-MHD (magnetohydrodynamic) flows (MMF), activated under a tornado-like vortex called vertical MHD flow (VMF). It was concluded that the interaction between MMF and VMF determines the activities.

The Lie group method is applied to the third order variant Boussinesq system, which arises in the modelling of the water waves. The symmetry reductions and invariant solutions are obtained with respect to Lie point symmetry generators of the underlying system. In addition, we derive conservation laws of the variant Boussinesq system.

Photoluminescence of excitons and their phonon replicas in homoepitaxial MOCVD-grown gallium nitride (GaN) layers have been studied by picosecond (ps) time-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy. The time-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy has shown that the free excitons and their replicas have the fastest dynamics (decay time of about 100 ps). Then, the excitons-bound-to-donors emission rises (with the rise time similar to the free excitons decay time) and decays with t=300 ps. The excitons-bound-to-acceptors has the slowest decay (about 500 ps). It has been found that the ratio of excitons-bound-to-acceptors and excitons-bound-to-donors amplitudes and their decay times are different for 1-LO replicas and then for zero-phonon lines, whereas the ratio of amplitudes and the decay time of the 2-LO replicas are similar to the ones of the zero-phonon lines.

The results of photoluminescence, time resolved photoluminescence (decay times), optically detected cyclotron and magnetic resonances investigations of CdMnTe/CdTe multiquantum wells and CdMgTe/CdMnTe super-lattices are presented.
