Opis:
The problems pertaining to capacitor-excited asynchronous machines, working as generators, are described. With the new experimental method, excitation characteristics were estimated for the machine working at a constant frequency. Based on the equivalent circuit diagram, the external characteristics were also obtained and compared to the experimantal ones. As a result, the conditions to stabilize the voltage by capacitors for different loads were formulated.

W pracy przeprowadzono analizę teorii podstawowych zjawisk fizycznych występujących na powierzchni metali i półprzewodników. Przedyskutowano powstawanie na powierzchni: potencjału elektrycznego, bariery potencjału, kontaktowej różnicy potencjałów (napięcia kontaktowego) i innych parametrów powierzchni. Omówiono spektroskopię fotonapięcia powierzchniowego i jego inwersję. Podano przykładowe wartości różnicy potencjałów kontaktowych na granicy zetknięcia się metali lub między kolektorem a emiterem w próżniowym kondensatorze kulistym służącym do badania fotoemisji elektronów.
In this paper we analyse the theory of basic physical phenomena on the surface of metals and semiconductors. We discuss a phenomenon of: electrical potential, potential barrier, contact potential difference, and other surface parameters arising on the surface. The spectroscopy of surface voltage and its inversion are described. We present the examples of values of the contact potential difference for metals or between collector and emitter in vacuous spherical capacitor for investigation of electron photoemission.

The paper presents results of field calculations for a single phase capacitor motor with tapped stator windings. The Sh71-2A motor magnetic circuit windings for two speeds were designed. The 2D computational motor model was worked out and calculations of the motor transient state during starting were performed. The quasi-static motor characteristics for two connection systems were determined. Computation results of the starting torque as a function of the rotor position at the locked rotor are presented. The static characteristics computed are compared with the measurement results of a prototype motor.

Opis:
LC input filters are applied in the traction drives with DC or AC motors controlled with the power electronic systems. As follows from experience in operation of the electric mine locomotives the most frequent reason for faults of these systems are faults of the filter's capacitors. Oscillations of voltage and current during the transient states of the drive operation can be one of the reasons for the damage of the capacitors. In this paper, special attention is paid to the angular frequency of oscillations of the voltage across the filter capacitor in transient states of drive operation. This quantity can be used in diagnostic and elimination of fault operation of the power electronic systems of the vehicles' drives. On the basis of a simplified model of the traction system, non-linear equation describing the system is formulated, linearized characteristic equation is given and minimum value of the filter capacity ensuring stable operation of the system is determined. The relationship determining the angular frequency is derived. The analysis of the influence of the filter capacity, inductance and resistance of the traction network, supply source voltage and power of the drive on the angular frequency of the oscillations of the voltage across the filter capacitor is carried out using simulations in the IsSpice program. Selected results of tests of the laboratory traction drive system equipped with a traction motor of the mine locomotive type Ld 31 are presented in the last section of the paper.

Opis:
The paper deals with problems connected with the single-phase operation of an induction motor possessing a three-phase winding in the stator and an additional condenser. Simulation calculations have been realized and they have shown that the pulsating torques of great amplitudes have appeared during the single-phase work of the induction motor. The mechanical pulsations generate vibration and noise. The new conception of the choice of the optimum value of the condenser capacitance has been presented. The condenser ought to ensure both the great mechanical power of the motor and decrease of vibration and noise. Besides the mechanical power and amplitude of the pulsation torque, values of many other, important electrical parameters have been simultaneously analysed, for example: power losses in windings resistances, the constant component of the motor torque, the power factor, the efficiency, currents and voltages connected with the phase windings, the electric active and reactive power, the supply current flowing from the single-phase feeding network, the voltage and the current of the condenser.

Artykuł traktuje o znajdowaniu najkorzystniejszej lokalizacji baterii kondensatorów w sieci elektroenergetycznej. Po ogólnym omówieniu rozwiązywania tego zadania autorzy skupili uwagę na wykorzystaniu algorytmu poszukiwania z tabu (Tabu Search). W dalszej części pracy znajdujemy zasady postępowania według algorytmu poszukiwania z tabu. Po tym zaprezentowano charakterystykę różnych metod znajdowania optymalnej lokalizacji baterii kondensatorów, których wspólną cechą jest stosowanie algorytmu poszukiwania z tabu. Na zakończenie artykułu dokonano porównania przedstawionych metod lokalizacji baterii kondensatorów.
The paper discusses the process of finding the most optimal locations for capacitor banks within a power network. After general presenting the solution of this task, the authors focused on the application of the tabu search algorithm. A further part of the paper presents rules for applying the tabu search algorithm to the considered task, and various methods for finding the optimal capacitor bank locations using that algorithm are presented. Finally, the previously presented methods for finding the optimal capacitor bank locations are compared.

Opis:
A complex-harmonic analysis technique was used for mathematical analysis of electric circuit containing a vibrating-plate capacitor. An equation for the transducer function of such a circuit is obtained. Amplitude and phase frequency characteristics of a circuit were calculated using a MathCAD program. Recommendations on implementation of a different frequency characteristic's parts in a measurement system design are formulated on a basis of graphical analysis.
Technika analizy zespolonych składowych widmowych została wykorzystana do matematycznej analizy obwodu elektrycznego zawierającego kondensator z wibrującą okładką. Otrzymano funkcję przetwarzania takiego układu. Amplitudy i fazy charakterystyki częstotliwościowej takiego układu obliczono przy użyciu programu MathCAD. Na podstawie graficznej analizy sformułowano zalecenia dotyczące stosowania różnych części charakterystyki częstotliwościowej w konstrukcji układu pomiarowego.

Abstract The present paper describes the results of experimental investigations of heat transfer during condensation of R134a, R404A and R407C in pipe minichannels with internal diameters 0.31-3.30 mm. The results concern investigations of the local heat transfer coefficient. The results were compared with the correlations proposed by other authors. Within the range of examined parameters of the condensation process in minichannels made of stainless steel, it was established that the values of the heat transfer coefficient may be described with Akers et al., Mikielewicz and Shah correlations within a limited range of the mass flux density of the refrigerant and the minichannel diameter. On the basis of experimental investigations, the authors proposed their own correlation for the calculation of local heat transfer coefficient.

The present paper describes results of experimental investigations of pressure drop during the condensation of R134a, R404a and R407C refrigerants in pipe minichannels with internal diameter 0.31-3.30 mm. The results concern investigations of the mean and local pressure drop in single minichannels. The results of experimental investigations were compared with the calculations according to the correlations proposed by other authors. A pressure drop during the condensation of refrigerants is described in a satisfactory manner with Friedel and Garimella correlations. On the basis of the experimental investigations, the authors proposed their own correlation for calculation of local pressure drop during condensation in single minichannels.

The paper presents an analysis of relations describing entropy generation in a condenser of a steam unit. Connections between entropy generation, condenser ratio, and heat exchanger effectiveness, as well as relations implied by them are shown. Theoretical considerations allowed to determine limits of individual parameters which describe the condenser operation. Various relations for average temperature of the cold fluid were compared. All the proposed relations were verified against data obtained using a simulator and actual measurement data from a 200 MW unit condenser. Based on data from a simulator it was examined how the sum of entropy rates, steam condenser effectiveness, terminal temperature difference and condenser ratio vary with the change in the inlet cooling water temperature, mass flow rate of steam and the cooling water mass flow rate.

W artykule przeprowadzono analizę stanu nieustalonego w obwodzie zawierającym indukcyjność, warystor i kondensator. Celem tej analizy jest wyznaczenie wartości chwilowych wielkości elektrycznych w obwodzie, które są pomocne do oszacowania jakości ochrony przeciwprzepięciowej. Wyniki symulacji porównano z eksperymentem. Przedstawiono metodę wyznaczania wartości pojemności kondensatora współpracującego z warystorem.
In the article the analysis of transient circuit containing inductance, varistor and a capacitor has been carried out. The purpose of this analysis is to determine the instantaneous value of electrical circuit that is useful for evaluating the quality of surge protection. The simulation results were compared with the experiment. We present a method for determining the value of the capacitor cooperating with varistor.

This paper presents the critical comments on the use of fractional derivatives in the theory of electric al circuits. It was pointed to the violation of the principle of dimensional physics equations uniformity, and changes the Maxwell equations and all electromagnetism.
W pracy przedstawiono krytyczne uwagi dotyczące wykorzystania ułamkowych pochodnych w teorii obwodów elektrycznych i teorii pola elektromagnetycznego. Wskazano, że w wielu pracach nie jest przestrzegana wymiarowa jednorodność. Powoduje to nieświadomą zmianę równań Maxwella, całego elektromagnetyzmu.

Metodą syntezy dwuetapowej otrzymano bis(trifluorometylosulfonylo) imidki 1-alkilo-4-(dimetyloamino)pirydyniowe. Uzyskano dziesięć niskotemperaturowych cieczy jonowych RTILs (ang. room temperature ionic liquids) i dwie sole o stosunkowo niskich temperaturach topnienia (z podstawnikiem C1 i C3). Otrzymane ciecze jonowe poddano badaniom elektrochemicznym. Zauważono zależność między właściwościami fizycznymi a otrzymanymi wartościami pojemności. Znacznie lepsze charakterystyki pojemnościowe wykazały związki o krótszym podstawniku alkilowym.
1-Alkyl-4-(dimethylamino)pyridinium bis(trifluomethylsulfonyl) imides was obtained by two-step synthesis. Ten room temperature ionic liquids (RTILs) and two salts having relatively low melting points (the substituent of C1 and C3) were obtained. The resulting ionic liquids were tested electrochemically. It is noted the relationship between the physical properties and the obtained values of capacitance. The capacitance characteristics were much better for compounds with shorter alkyl substituent.
