Introduction: Due to their strong, multidirectional anti-inflammatory activity, intranasal glucocorticoids are the mainstay of treatment in rhinosinusitis, including acute rhinosinusitis, chronic rhinosinusitis, and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, as well as allergic rhinitis. Owing to its high systemic safety and high anti-inflammatory efficacy, mometasone furoate – a new-generation intranasal glucocorticoid – was approved in 2019 as an over-the-counter (OTC) medication for Polish patients diagnosed with allergic rhinitis. Scientific societies and expert groups recommend the use of intranasal glucocorticoids in a much broader range of indications. In February 2020, an updated version of the European Position Paper on Rhinosinusitis and Nasal Polyps (EPOS 2020) was published. Aim: This article discusses the role of nasal glucocorticoids in regimens used in the treatment of nasal sinusitis as published in EPOS 2020 with Polish country-specific realities being taken into account.

Wprowadzenie: Donosowe glikokortykosteroidy (dnGKS), z uwagi na swoje silne, wielokierunkowe działanie przeciwzapalne, są podstawą leczenia zapaleń błony śluzowej nosa i zatok przynosowych – zarówno ostrego zapalenia zatok przynosowych, przewlekłego zapalenia zatok przynosowych, przewlekłego zapalenia zatok przynosowych z polipami nosa, jak i alergicznego nieżytu błony śluzowej nosa. Nowoczesny dnGKS – furoinian mometazonu, ze względu na wysokie bezpieczeństwo ogólnoustrojowe i miejscowe oraz wysoką skuteczność przeciwzapalną, w 2019 r. został dopuszczony w Polsce do sprzedaży bez przepisu lekarza dla chorych z rozpoznanym alergicznym nieżytem nosa. Rekomendacje towarzystw naukowych oraz grup ekspertów zalecają stosowanie dnGKS w znacznie szerszym zakresie wskazań. W lutym 2020 r. w czasopiśmie „Rhinology” ukazała się nowelizacja konsensusu EPOS 2020 (European Position Paper on Rhinosinusitis and Nasal Polyps 2020). Cel: Autorzy przedstawiają miejsce dnGKS w schematach leczenia zapaleń zatok przynosowych, opublikowanych w dokumencie EPOS 2020, z uwzględnieniem realiów specyficznych dla Polski.

The article explores the concept of authorship in early (10th−11th century A.D.) classical Persian epic poetry, it uses examples of three representative works: Ferdousi’s Šāhnāme, Asadi’s and Gorgāni’s Vis-o Rāmin. As the analyzed passages show, all three authors, in spite of their works being based on the existing, traditional sources, have a strong sense of their individual authorship. They understand their role as saving pre-Islamic Iranian patrimony from oblivion, as a modernization of literary language and style and finally, as a search for their personal fame. An attempt at discovering inner senses of the inherited literary material, beyond its external meaning, seems to be another aspect of their authorial creativity.

Opis:
EPOS is a generator which allows one to simulate various types of collisions of divers systems with different initial parameters. It considers the parton-based Gribov-Regge theory. So far the EPOS model has been used to describe higher collision energies obtained with RHIC or LHC data. On the other hand, there is another program under investigation: Beam Energy Scan conducted at Brookhaven National Laboratory. The beams of gold ions are collided at energies such as √sNN - 7:7; 11:5; 19:6; 27; 39, and 62.4 GeV in order to collect and analyze data needed in examination of QGP Phase Diagram. The EPOS model could become a useful tool in such studies. Simulated with EPOS data will be verified using elliptic flow analyses and two-particles femtoscopic correlations, which allow one to measure the size of sources determined by newly created particle.

Platforma IS-EPOS jest prototypem Tematycznego Węzła Sejsmiczności Antropogenicznej. Będzie ona elementem europejskiej multidyscyplinarnej platformy badawczej tworzonej w ramach projektu EPOS ( European Plate Observing System ). IS-EPOS to platforma internetowa pozwalająca na dostęp i analizę danych geofizycznych i przemysłowych do badań naukowych w zakresie sejsmiczności antropogenicznej. Dane zorganizowane są w tzw. epizody sejsmiczności, czyli kompletne zestawy danych geofizycznych i technologicznych opisujące dany przypadek sejsmiczności. Obecnie dostępnych jest sześć epizodów sejsmiczności indukowanej: cztery epizody z Polski, jeden z Niemiec i jeden z Wietnamu. Platforma IS-EPOS zawiera także serwisy obliczeniowe oraz wizualizacji danych. Serwisy przetwarzające dane można podzielić na dwie podstawowe grupy: programy do podstawowych operacji na katalogu sejsmicznym, danych produkcyjnych oraz sejsmogramach i programy do zaawansowanego przetwarzania danych. Serwisy są udostępnione użytkownikowi przez jego osobistą przestrzeń roboczą, gdzie może wgrywać odpowiednie dane i przeprowadzać na nich wybrane przez siebie analizy. Wszystkie serwisy i epizody posiadają szczegółową dokumentację oraz bibliografię dotyczącą metodyki dostępne dla użytkowników platformy IS-EPOS. Szczególnym elementem dokumentacji jest specjalnie przygotowany podręcznik użytkownika platformy, w którym zawarto wszelkie informacje potrzebne do efektywnej pracy z platformą. Platforma IS-EPOS została stworzona jako produkt końcowy projektu IS-EPOS sfinansowanego w ramach Programu Operacyjnego Innowacyjna Gospodarka w Osi priorytetowej 2: Infrastruktura Sfery B+R, działanie 2.3: Inwestycje związane z rozwojem infrastruktury informatycznej nauki. Platforma jest dostępna bezpłatnie dla zarejestrowanych użytkowników pod adresem: https://tcs.ah-epos.eu.
In this paper we present the IS-EPOS IT-platform which is an open virtual access point for researchers studying anthropogenic seismicity and related hazards. The IS-EPOS platform constitutes a digital research space for providing permanent and reliable access to advanced Research Infrastructures (RI) to the Induced Seismicity (IS) Community. This objective is implemented as a prototype which offers access to various datasets related to selected anthropogenic seismicity cases, specialized software for elementary and advanced data analysis and document repositories. The relevant seismic and non-seismic data are gathered in the so-called episodes of induced seismicity. The IS-EPOS platform integrates presently six episodes of anthropogenic seismicity respectively linked to underground hard rock and coal mining in Poland, hydroelectric energy production and geothermal energy production experiments in Germany. The researcher accessing the platform can make use of low level software services for data browsing, selecting and visualizing and a number of high level services for advanced data processing out of which the probabilistic seismic analysis service group is particular rich. The IS-EPOS platform is a prototype of the Thematic Core Services (TCS) Anthropogenic Hazards (AH) belonging to the pan-European multidisciplinary research platform created within the European Plate Observing System (EPOS) long term plan for the integration of national and transnational research infrastructures for solid earth science in Europe. The platform is available for registered users for free (https://tcs.ah-epos.eu).

The article is a review of the most important trends in the development of the Polish epic in the 16th and 17th centuries. In the absence of significant traditions of knightly works, the creation of Polish heroic poetry should be associated primarily with the humanistic movement, whose representatives set a heroic epic at the top of the hierarchy of genres and recognized 'Eneid' as its primary model. The postulate proposed first by the Renaissance and later by the Baroque authors did not lead to the creation of a ‘real’ epic in Poland. The translations of: the Virgil’s epic poem (1590) by Andrzej Kochanowski and Book 3 of 'The Iliad' by Jan Kochanowski can be regarded as the genre substitutes. These translations seem to test whether the young Polish poetic language is able to bear the burden of an epic matter. Then again, the works of Maciej Kazimierz Sarbiewski on the Latin 'Lechias' (the 1st half of the 17th century), which was to present the beginnings of the Polish state, were not completed. Polish Renaissance authors preferred themes from modern or even recent history, choosing 'Bellum civile' by Lucan as their general model but they did not refrain from typically heroic means in the presentation of the subject. This is evidenced by such poems as 'The Prussian War' (1516) by Joannis Vislicensis or 'Radivilias' (1592) by Jan Radwan. The Latin epic works were followed by the vernacular epic in the 17th century, when the historical epic poems by Samuel Twardowski and Wacław Potocki were created, as well as in the 18th century (the example of 'The Khotyn War' by Ignacy Krasicki). The publication of Torquato Tasso’s 'Jerusalem delivered' translation by Piotr Kochanowski in 1618 introduced to the Polish literature a third variant of an epic poem, which is a combination of a heroic poem and romance motives. The translation gained enormous recognition among literary audiences and was quickly included in the canon of imitated works, but not as a model of an epic, but mainly as a source of ideas and poetic phrases (it was used not only by epic poets). The exception here is the anonymous epos entitled 'The siege of Jasna Góra of Częstochowa', whose author spiced the historical action of the recent event with romance themes, an evident reference to the Tasso’s poem. The Polish translation of Tasso’s masterpiece also contributed to the popularity of the ottava rima, as an epic verse from the second half of the 17th century (previously the Polish alexandrine dominated as the equivalent of the ancient hexameter). This verse was used both in the historical and biblical epic poems, striving to face the rhythmic challenge.

W artykule podjęto teoretycznoliteracki problem (nie)możliwości „poetyckiego zapisu konkretyzacji”, jak Michał Głowiński określił Epos-naszą Cypriana Norwida. Odnosząc się do wybranych założeń filozofii fenomenologicznej (konkretyzacji estetycznej Ingardena i „uobecniania” Husserla) oraz do ustaleń norwidologów dotyczących specyfiki jego poezji, przedstawiono i uargumentowano wniosek o stanowieniu przez poemat Norwida konkretyzacyjnej impresji, formalnie będącej wspomnieniem, ponadto zaś – wspomnieniem pozbawionym ironicznego zabarwienia.
The article deals with the theoretical-literary problem of the (im)possibility of “a poetic representation of concretisation”, as Michał Głowiński described Cyprian Kamil Norwid’s Epos-nasza. Referring to selected assumptions of phenomenological philosophy (Ingarden’s aesthetic concretisation and Husserl’s “presenting”) and to the findings of Norwidologists regarding the specificity of his poetry, a conclusion was presented and justified that Norwid’s poem constituted a concretisation impression, formally being a memory, and moreover, a memory devoid of an ironic tinge.
