Tematem artykułu jest analiza tomu listów Zofii Kossak wydanych w roku 2017. Jest to bogaty wybór korespondencji z lat 1931–1966 kierowanej do różnych osób (rodziny, przyjaciół) redakcji i instytucji. Listy są lekturą pasjonującą, barwną, żywą przynoszą wiedzę zarówno o samej autorce Nieznanego kraju, jak i o czasach, w których przyszło jej żyć. Ponadto mogą stać się źródłem autentycznej satysfakcji czytelniczej.
The subject of the article is the analysis of the volume of letters by Zofia Kossak published in 2017. It is a rich selection of correspondence from 1931-1966 addressed to various people (family, friends), editors and institutions. Letters are a fascinating, colorful and vivid reading that brings knowledge both of the author of Nieznany kraj herself and of the times in which she lived. In addition, they can be a source of genuine reader satisfaction.

This publication contains polemic commentaries to the text by BeataGarlej „Panorama badań aksjologicznych we współczesnym literaturoznawstwie polskim” [Panorama of axiological research in contemporary Polish literary studies] („Tematy i Konteksty” 11(16)/2021). This publication has been divided into three parts: “Lublin school (KUL school)”, “Torun school” and “Warsaw school”. The lack of the authoress’s explanations of her understanding of the term ‘school’ allows tooverestimate the significance of “Torun school” and underestimate the significance of “»Garden« school”.

The paper discusses Henryk Elzenberg's views on religion and mysticism, as they are scattered in his essays and critical writings, especially in his intellectual diary Kłopot z istnieniem [A Trouble with Existence]. The author relates his evolution of thought in the context of the philosopher's biography. He was first interested in epistemology and axiology (ethics and aesthetics) and then got involved in religious and mystic quest. The type of intuitive knowledge through participation in the object, which eludes positive and conceptual definitions, is called by Elzenberg intusception. The religious perspective affects also his relation to values. Initially, it was treated as a universal system of perfect determinants of ethical action and aesthetic experiences. In later Elzenberg's axiology they took on religion meaning, as metempirical and transrational signs − symbols − of Infinity (Indeterminacy). Eventually, this „religion of values” gives way to mysticism of negation, individual and solitary, in which the leading role is played by the „sense and taste of Infinity”. The author puts forward an interpretative hypothesis i.e. Henryk Elzenberg's via negativa was undoubtedly inspired by his Buddhist reading list. It may be traced to Jewish cabalistic tradition, although the author of A Trouble with Existence never refers to this source.

Materiał egzemplifikacyjny stanowią teksty zaczerpnięte z języka i dyskursu młodzieżowego prowadzonego w różnych „kanałach” i typach komunikacji zapośredniczonej cyfrowo (w tym bazy danych do Młodzieżowego Słowa Roku). W przemiany kategorii humoru jako pokłosia zjawisk kulturowych, np. popkulturowej ludyczności (kultura beki) i nowej karnawalizacji, filozofii xD, apoteozy trywialności i ekstremalności doświadczeń, wpisują się realizacje językowe jako warianty gry z normami języka ogólnego, powagą i wzorami uczestnictwa w kulturze.
This article addresses aspects related to the current transformation of the category of humour in the sociolect and communication styles of the young people. The data are exemplified by digital discourses of the young taken from different channels and types of digital-oriented communication (including the database of the Youth Word of the Year). These language realisations, understood as variants of playing with the norms of language and the patterns of participation in culture, are embedded in the current transformation of the category of humour as a result of cultural phenomena such as the ludic aspects of pop-culture, the new carnivalisation of the xD philosophy, the apotheosis of triviality and experiences of extremeness.

The article examines the problem of the relationship between the two phenomena of the Evagrian theo-anthropology: acedia (listlessness) and lype (sadness). The problem is considered from the perspective of ontological anthropology (a human being is being studied from the side of possibilities and obligations of being oneself). The purpose of the analysis is to demonstrate and explain the differences between acedia and lype in terms of their anthropological justification. This goal is attained through the concepts of existential axiology. The article seeks to demonstrate that acedia and lype point in the human being to two different dimensions: acedia distorts in the existence the sphere of the attitude towards basic values; lype distorts in the existence the sphere of attitudes towards positive values, the realization of which signifies a fulfillment of existence.
W artykule bada się problem relacji dwóch zjawisk Ewagriańskiej teo-antropologii: acedii (zniechęcenie) i lype (smutek). Problem jest rozpatrywany z perspektywy antropologii ontologicznej (bada człowieka od strony możliwości i powinności bycia sobą). Celem analiz jest wykazanie i wyjaśnienie różnic dzielących acedię i lype poprzez ich uzasadnienie antropologiczne. Cel jest osiągany przy pomocy pojęć aksjologii egzystencjalnej. W artykule zmierza się do pokazania, że acedia i lype wskazują w człowieku na różne wymiary: acedia wypacza w egzystencji sferę nastawienia na wartości podstawowe; lype wypacza w egzystencji obszar nastawienia na wartości pozytywne, których urzeczywistnienie oznacza jej spełnienie.

The appeals to values and the renaissance of axiological thought in the various legal dogmas naturally prompt a methodological order. The article is a voice in the debate on attempts to systematize values in administrative law. On the grounds of positive law, one usually reaches only to justify the thetic validity of norms. In administrative law, which concerns human beings, it is especially common to reach for the axiological basis of the validity of the law – hence the number of value classifications is considerable. The meanders of axiological reflection in administrative law are entering a higher level of complexity. The axiology of administrative law is very complex due to the great diversity of administrative law, and any typologies are contractual in nature. The doctrine is generating new catalogues of values. Each of them is threatened by a form of relativism. The author undertakes an analysis of the proposed classifications, pointing out the advantages and disadvantages of the various solutions. The purpose of the article is to present justifications for the separation and classification of values in administrative law and to confirm the relevance of axiological reflection within the framework of the legal dogma indicated. The main methods used in the text are formal-dogmatic and comparative.
Odwołania do wartości i renesans myśli aksjologicznej w poszczególnych dogmatykach prawniczych naturalnie skłaniają do zachowania porządku metodologicznego. Artykuł jest głosem w debacie na temat prób systematyzacji wartości w prawie administracyjnym. Na gruncie prawa pozytywnego sięga się zwykle jedynie do uzasadnienia tetycznego obowiązywania norm. W prawie administracyjnym, które dotyczy człowieka, szczególnie często sięga się do aksjologicznych podstaw obowiązywania prawa – stąd liczba klasyfikacji wartości jest znaczna. Meandry refleksji aksjologicznej w prawie administracyjnym wchodzą na coraz wyższy poziom skomplikowania. Aksjologia prawa administracyjnego jest bardzo złożona ze względu na dużą różnorodność prawa administracyjnego, a wszelkie typologie mają charakter umowny. Doktryna generuje coraz to nowe katalogi wartości. Każdy z nich zagrożony jest pewną formą relatywizmu. Autor analizuje proponowane klasyfikacje, wskazując zalety i wady różnych rozwiązań. Celem artykułu jest prezentacja uzasadnień wyodrębniania i klasyfikacji wartości w prawie administracyjnym oraz potwierdzenie doniosłości refleksji aksjologicznej w ramach wskazanej dogmatyki prawniczej. Główne metody zastosowane w tekście to metoda formalno-dogmatyczna oraz metoda porównawcza.

Tematem artykułu jest nowe zjawisko sztuki miejskiej określane jako „dzikie typo”. Jest ono specyficznie lokalne, łódzkie, ale jednocześnie pozwala uchwycić złożoną problematykę doświadczenia postindustrialnego miasta — i w tym sensie jest uniwersalne. Sam termin jest zastanawiający, ponieważ wydaje się wewnętrznie sprzeczny. Mimo iż pojęcie dzikości ma pewną tradycję we współczesnej teorii sztuki, to nie przystaje do zagadnienia typografii. Różne przejawy „dzikiego typo” w przestrzeni miasta uwikłane są w szereg zależności podważających status autorstwa, narażających twórców na naśladowanie i instrumentalne wykorzystanie ich prac. Jeśli chodzi o fizyczną przestrzeń miasta i jej walory dzikości i autentyczności — to „dzikie typo” użycza tej przestrzeni wieloznaczności i także przejmuje jej wieloznaczność, co wraz z ingerującą przyrodą oraz zaniedbaniem sprawia, że użytkownik miasta nie ma jasności, z czym ma do czynienia. Interesujące jest, dlaczego i z jakimi intencjami lub nadziejami artyści wikłają się w ten splot sztuki, wandalizmu i degradacji krajobrazu. Potraktowanie tych przestrzeni i praktyk jako heterotopijnych pozwala wyjść poza schematyczne wartościowanie legalne/nielegalne, estetyczne/antyestetyczne, kulturalne/zdziczałe.
The subject of the article is a new phenomenon of urban art known as “wild typography” (in Polish an abbreviated form “dzikie typo”). It has a specific local, Łódź character, but at the same time it allows to capture the complex issues of the post-industrial experience of the city. And in that sense, it is universal. The term is puzzling because it seems self-contradictory. Although the notion of wildness has its tradition in contemporary art theory, it does not fit the issue of typography. The very manifestations of “wild typography” in the city space are entangled in several dependencies that undermine the status of authorship, exposing artists to imitation and instrumental use of their works. When it comes to the physical space of the city and its values of wildness and authenticity, the “wild typography” lends it ambiguity and takes over its ambiguity also, which, together with the interfering nature and neglect, makes the resident doesn’t know what he’s dealing with. It is interesting why and with what intentions or hopes artists get involved in this tangle of art, vandalism, and landscape degradation. Treating these spaces and practices as heterotopias makes it possible to go beyond the schematic evaluation of legal/illegal, aesthetic/anti-aesthetic, cultural/wild.

Artykuł omawia grupę tradycyjnych chińskich imion żeńskich zawierających leksemy wskazujące na moralne, psychiczne i behawioralne cechy kobiet. Wspomniane cechy są podobne do wartości ludzkich wyróżnionych przez filozofów i psychologów w dziedzinie aksjologii, czyli teorii wartości. Typologia wartości opracowana przez Miltona Rokeacha w 1973 r. służy jako rama dla prowadzonych badań. Materiał badawczy zawiera 1050 leksemów obecnych w 2931 standardowych imionach własnych chińskich kobiet. Leksemy oznaczające wartości kobiece stanowią 27% wszystkich analizowanych leksemów, a występują w 1600 imionach. Nazwy własne oznaczające wartości ujawniają w pewnym stopniu system wartości preferowanych w tradycyjnych Chinach i wydają się istotne dla dalszych badań w dziedzinie aksjologii.
The paper discusses the group of Chinese traditional female names containing lexemes denoting moral, mental and behavioural features of women. The features mentioned are related to human values distinguished by philosophers and psychologists in the domain of axiology, i.e. the theory of value. The typology of values elaborated by M. Rokeach in 1973 serves as a framework for the research. The research material contains 1050 lexemes evidenced in 2931 standard personal names of Chinese women. The lexemes denoting female values stand for 27% of all lexemes analysed, and occur in 1600 names. Personal names denoting the values reveal to some extent the system of values preferred in traditional China, and seem to be important for the further studies in the domain of axiology.

CEL NAUKOWY: Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie uwarunkowań, jakim podlega dziennikarstwo w dobie rewolucji w dostępie do informacji, oraz pokazanie, jak uwarunkowania te wpływają na realizowanie przez dziennikarzy standardów zawodowych. PROBLEM I METODY BADAWCZE: Problem badawczy został sformułowany jako pytanie: czy w związku z kryzysem epistemologicznym dotykającym dziennikarstwo zasadne jest rozważenie zmiany ustanowionych w XX w. przez środowisko dziennikarskie norm i wartości? W zakresie przyjętej metodologii zastosowano założenia teorii normatywnej i teorii społecznej odpowiedzialności mediów, a także metodę analizy i krytyki piśmiennictwa. PROCES WYWODU: Publikację rozpoczyna przypomnienie norm etycznych w dziennikarstwie, które przez przeszło sto lat, pełniąc funkcję „drogowskazów”, przyczyniały się do budowy społecznego ładu opartego na wartościach. Następnie przedstawiono uwarunkowania, jakim podlega dziennikarstwo we współczesnym, zmediatyzowanym społeczeństwie. Na podstawie badań orzeczeń Rady Etyki Mediów wskazano na naruszenia standardów dziennikarskich w praktyce redakcyjnej. WYNIKI ANALIZY NAUKOWEJ: Podjęte badania wskazują na znaczenie etyki dziennikarskiej w komunikowaniu oraz negatywne konsekwencje dla społeczeństwa demokratycznego, jakie przynosi odchodzenie od standardów związanych z przekazywaniem informacji. WNIOSKI, INNOWACJE, REKOMENDACJE: Mimo ogromnej konkurencji i starań mediów o pozyskanie audytorium to wiarygodność i zaufanie odbiorców będą decydowały o ich powrocie do tych samych źródeł informacji. Respektowanie standardów etycznych, w tym ujęciu, staje się fundamentem ekonomicznej egzystencji środków masowego przekazu.

The European People’s Party is called the “party of values” due to the fact that it refers to Christian democratic axiology in its programmes and actions. An analysis of programming documents of the EPP from the 1992–2014 period has shown that the EPP presents its values in various ways. The adopted values are given a festive character, they are being used to rationalise political actions and treated as functional elements of the political system. In the programming documents of the EPP, in passages which refer to values, one may find the traces of the power struggle in which the EPP participated during the analysed period. In addition to the above, a review of the said documents reveals that the EPP has been experiencing a tendency to redefine the identity of this political group. This happened as a result of weakening or even negating the hitherto prevailing metaphysics, in which the values which constituted the foundation of the identity of the EPP were anchored.
Europejska Partia Ludowa nazywana jest „partią wartości” z tego powodu, iż w swoich programach i działaniu odwołuje się do chrześcijańsko-demokratycznych wartości. Analiza dokumentów programowych EPL z lat 1992–2014 ujawniła, że EPL prezentuje swoje wartości na różne sposoby. Przyjętym przez siebie wartościom nadaje ona odświętny charakter, wartości te wykorzystuje do racjonalizacji działań politycznych oraz traktuje je jako funkcjonalne składniki systemu politycznego. Dokumenty programowe EPL w miejscach, gdzie mowa jest o wartościach, zawierają również ślad gry o władzę, w jakiej uczestniczyła EPL w badanym okresie. Ponadto analiza dokumentów pokazuje, że w EPL pojawiła się tendencja do redefinicji tożsamości tego ugrupowania politycznego. Stało się to za sprawą osłabienia czy nawet zanegowania dotychczasowej metafizyki, w której zakotwiczone były wartości stanowiące podstawę tożsamości EPL.

Axiology and the natural law together with the qualities resulting from them ensure the cohesion of science and education. This article is aimed at describing the principal natural laws and axioms as well as indicating the meaning of axiology and the natural law for science and the educational processes with special focus on the socio–economic sciences. The Charter of Fundamental Rights represents a new approach of the European Union to protection of human rights. Originally presented in the summit in Nice (2000), the Charter received a legally binding character upon the Treaty of Lisbon (entered into force in 1 December 2009). In the time of Treaties of Rome (1957) the human rights was considered as an area of special interest of the Council of Europe, while EEC has been concentrated on economic and social issues. CoE has offered a fundamental instrument in this area: the European Convention on Human Rights and organized the system of protection basically upon activity of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. During the development of the process of European integration, European Community has been more and more involved in the area of protection of fundamental rights. A breaking point was the establishment of the European Union (Treaty of Maastricht), when the EU decides to extend the rights of their citizens. The author presents a genesis of Charter of Fundamental Rights and analyses basic ideas and axiological system of this document. He concentrates on such a rights as “right to life” and “right to dignity”. He offers an analysis of cultural pluralism which was crucial during the formulation of particular rights. He especially stresses meaning of new types of rights, as the right to good administration. It will be interesting to see an interrelation between the European Convention on Human Rights and the Charter of Fundamental Rights. Theoretically we do not have a collision in this area, once rights known under the European Convention of Human Rights should be interpreted according to the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights. It practice it may occur tensions between two courts during the process of interpretation of the rights. It will create new type of relations between the Council of Europe and European Union, once EU wants to be active in all areas of public interest and the original division of an areas of interest between the European international organizations is not actual.

The tenth anniversary of adopting the Constitution of the Republic of Poland on 2nd April 1997 became an opportunity to reflect on the system of the state, functioning of its institutions and the status of the individual. The subject literature hardy ever tackles the topic of values that the state constitutional system is based on. Furthermore, there are no studies devoted to The axiology of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland in postulates of the Polish Episcopate. The present study aims to present and analyze the postulates of the Polish Episcopate which concern the axiology of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland. The postulates were voiced in the form of official standpoints, letters to the congregation and communiqués from plenary sessions of the Polish Episcopate Conference and meetings of the Stable Council.
