The article presents the results of the latest technological research statue of Christ on the Mount of Olives from the collection of the Malbork Castle Museum, and two other sculptures: the statue of St. Elizabeth from St. John Church in Malbork, and the statue of St. Barbara from St. John Church in Toruń (now the Diocesan Museum in Pelplin). As stated in a study commissioned by the Castle Museum, all of the figures are made from the same stone, which is a margly limestone, built mainly of calcite and containing some detrital components, such as quartz and glauconite and small amounts of ore minerals. Lithologically it shows a strong resemblance to the „Golden opuka” (Plänerkalk) – spongilite or marly chert from Prague. The results support the postulate that the figures come from a Czech workshop and allows very likely be considered as imports from Prague. It is another testament to anextensive artistic impact of this resort at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries.

This paper presents the process of designing Research and Development actions for innovative technology of highly efficient manufacturing of Spunlace non-woven fabric with the use of the designed demonstrative technological line. Both the designing of the technological line and the research are response to the market needs of the personal care products manufacturers in Poland and in the world. Clients’ expectations concerning this matter deal with increasing the production volume as well as providing better quality of the products. Due to limited (and fully exploited) production capacities and already-known technical problems in the enterprise where the research has been carried out, the authors designed a concept of innovative controlling of the technological line gradually increasing its efficiency. In order to do so, the authors proposed research based on designing the technological line mathematical model, creating its prototype and testing its operational capacities, saving the data in the database and then the use of this empirical data to the technological line parametrisation depending on the properties and destination of the manufactured products.

Abstract: The paper focuses on death and its place in archaeology. It summarises the different approaches in interdisciplinary research. The main point is a proposal of a new research method, based on the concepts chaîne opératoire and schéma opératoire. This technological approach is presented using the example of six Wielbarkian graves. The authors developed a standardized form, which could be used for the description and analysis of a wide range of phenomenon related to mortuary practises in the past.

Opis:
Not so long ago, Poland was one of the European countries which lacked a research centre which would support museum institutions. Meeting numerous needs, the National Museum in Cracow (NMC) had been sharing the resources of its Laboratory with other museum institutions. This is how the National Centre for Research on Heritage (hereafter the Centre) was founded. Relying on equipment and specialists from the NMC Laboratory, the Centre offers multilateral research on objects and collections to Polish museum institutions. It organises contests which all Polish museums may apply to with their research projects. The Centre focuses on three main activities. Firstly, it carries out technological projects comprising the composition and features of materials used to make works of art. Secondly, there are projects linking technological research with analyses of the state of preservation and environmental conditions in order to safeguard works or sets of art or which are particularly culturally valuable. The third activity consists in joint interdisciplinary expertise with external research units. The Centre has also undertaken its own longterm programme of research into managing the protection of collections in a sustainable and effective way. Within the framework of the programme, methodology and tools for the quantitative assessment of risk are prepared. The development of the National Centre for Research, based on the already existing potential of the NMC, allows the effective usage of collected research equipment and the adaption of its activity to the real needs of museum institutions. At the same time, an important area of the Centre’s activity is the coordination and possibility of using the potential of groups conducting research in the field of heritage at the Polish Academy of Sciences or at higher education institutions. The next goal of the NMC is to expand the Centre’s activity on conservation work.
Jeszcze niedawno Polska należała do nielicznych krajów europejskich, które nie posiadały centrum badawczego wspierającego placówki muzealne. Wychodząc naprzeciw licznym potrzebom Muzeum Narodowe w Krakowie (MNK) od dekady udostępnia zasoby własnego Laboratorium innym placówkom muzealnym. W ten sposób powstało Krajowe Centrum Badań nad Dziedzictwem (dalej Centrum). W oparciu o aparaturę i specjalistów z Laboratorium MNK Centrum oferuje polskim placówkom muzealnym wielostronne badania obiektów i zbiorów. Organizuje konkursy, na które projekty badawcze mogą zgłaszać wszystkie polskie muzea. Działalność Centrum koncentruje się na 3 głównych aktywnościach. Pierwszą są badania technologiczne obejmujące skład i cechy materiałów, z których wykonano dzieła sztuki. Drugą są projekty łączące badania technologiczne z analizami stanu zachowania i warunków środowiskowych w celu ochrony dzieł sztuki lub ich zespołów mających szczególne znaczenie dla kultury. Trzecia aktywność to wykonywanie wspólnie z zewnętrznymi jednostkami badawczymi ekspertyz interdyscyplinarnych. Centrum podjęło również własny długofalowy program badań nad zarządzaniem ochroną zbiorów w sposób zrównoważony i efektywny. W ramach programu powstają metodyka i narzędzia ilościowej oceny zagrożeń. Rozwój krajowego centrum badawczego bazującego na potencjale już istniejącym w MNK pozwala na efektywne wykorzystanie zgromadzonej aparatury badawczej oraz podporządkowanie działań rzeczywistym potrzebom placówek muzealnych. Jednocześnie ważną sferą działalności Centrum jest koordynacja i możliwość korzystania z potencjału grup badawczych prowadzących badania w obszarze dziedzictwa w Polskiej Akademii Nauk, czy na wyższych uczelniach. Kolejnym celem MNK jest rozszerzenie działalności Centrum o prace konserwatorskie.

Development and popularization of new communication technologies generate new dimensions of opportunities and threats associated with learning and using technologies as well as with their sociocultural consequences. The article presents four dimensions of social perception of these threats and opportunities: creativity, representative potential, psychological attitude, privacy and control. They were distinguished on the basis of two research projects using qualitative research techniques. Particular attention was dedicated to generational usage of technology. In this way, the paper may be the basis for distinguishing the dimensions of technological competencies.

The paper examines the latest research into factors behind changes in the functional distribution of incomes, or the relationship between the share of wages and profits in GDP. The author describes the key determinants of theoretical and empirical research and explains why interest in these issues has increased in recent years in both Poland and elsewhere. The second part of the paper discusses the most controversial issues linked with the definition and measurement of the share of wages and profits in GDP, while part three focuses on general historic trends linked with the distribution of profits and wages. Part four discusses the results of the latest econometric research that takes into account the role of globalization and technological progress. Part five is dedicated to research dealing with capital-labor substitution, which is important from the perspective of theoretical debates in contemporary macroeconomics. The author concludes that future research into the distribution of profits and wages should cover countries with a medium and low level of development.

W 2007 r. firma "AgrAlex" Aleksander Lubiński z Redła opracowała i wdrożyła do produkcji nowatorską maszynę - mobilną linię technologiczną do przygotowania ziarna siewnego zbóż "ANIELA". Jej opracowanie i wdrożenie było przedmiotem projektu celowego ROW-II-171/2006, dofinansowanego przez Centrum Innowacji NOT. Wykonawcą większości prac badawczych był Przemysłowy Instytut Maszyn Rolniczych w Poznaniu. W artykule przedstawiono w skrócie wyniki badań prototypu maszyny.
In 2007 a company "AgrAlex" Aleksander Lubiński from Redło has implemented into production an inventive machine - mobile technological line "ANIELA" for preparation of cereals seed-grain. Its scientific description and implementation were the matter of a goal orientated project ROW-II-171/2006, co-financed by Innovation Centre of Polish Federation of Engineering Associations NOT. Industrial Institute of Agricultural Engineering in Poznań was an executive of most of the researches. The article includes shortened results of researches of the machine prototype.

The escalating concerns surrounding personal data security in cyberspace necessitate a comprehensive examination of user awareness, attitudes, and behaviours. This study, conducted among University of Udine students, delves into the multifaceted dimensions of personal data security, exploring aspects such as perceptions and behaviours related to privacy, network security, and legal compliance. The research objectives involve assessing respondents’ awareness of data transfer on the network, their general concerns about cyber risks, and the coherence between awareness, concern, and actual online behaviour. A convenience sample of 518 predominantly young respondents was gathered through an online questionnaire. Results reveal a noteworthy disparity between declared awareness and actual concern, leading to a „privacy paradox”. While respondents express awareness of data transfer, their specific concern is limited, predominantly focusing on commercial aspects rather than acknowledging broader cybersecurity threats. This discordance extends to online behaviour and the predominant use of devices such as smartphones, which are simultaneously the most used by respondents but also perceived to have the greatest data loss and the least possibility of implementing data protection actions. The findings underscore the critical need for ongoing cybersecurity education, particularly targeting younger populations, to bridge the gap between theoretical awareness and practical implementation of secure online practices. This study prompts further investigation into diverse cultural contexts, proposing a shared model for technological education across European societies to foster secure behaviours in the digital landscape

W artykule przedstawiono opis autorskiej aplikacji komputerowej służącej do przygotowania matematycznego modelu badanego procesu. Model wyznaczany jest w oparciu o funkcje regresji i bazuje na planie statycznym dwupoziomowym kompletnym. Schemat obliczeń zgodny jest z procedurą prezentowaną w dostępnej literaturze. Opracowana aplikacja pozwala na przygotowanie modelu bez potrzeby zakupu drogiego oprogramowania komercyjnego i ułatwia prowadzenie analiz.
The paper presents a description of the author's computer application used to prepare a mathematical model of the studied process. The model is based on regression functions and is based on a static, two-level complete plan. The calculation scheme is in accordance with the procedure presented in the available literature. The prepared application allows you to prepare the model without the need to buy expensive commercial software and facilitates analysis.

Dokonano charakterystyki ogólnej tematyki badań, ze wskazaniem efektów, które stymulowały intensywny wówczas rozwój polskiego odlewnictwa, którego wyposażenie stanowiły maszyny odlewnicze i wyposażenie technologiczne produkowane w kraju. Poddano analizie niektóre aspekty stanu polskiego odlewnictwa ze wskazaniem czynników ograniczających rozwój i produktywność małych oraz średnich przedsiębiorstw odlewniczych, dominujących w krajowym odlewnictwie. Na tle syntezy wcześniejszych badań krajowych oraz stopnia zaawansowania badań oraz wdrożeń technologii odlewniczych do przemysłu w przodujących krajach zachodnich, wskazano na potrzebę rozwoju produkcji nowych generacji maszyn i wyposażenia w celu pewnego uniezależnienia krajowych przedsiębiorstw w dostępie do wiedzy służącej zwiększeniu wydajności i poprawie jakości produkcji odlewniczej. Przedstawiono przykładowe badania w zakresie naukowego wspomagania modernizacji maszynowego wyposażenia odlewni prowadzone na Wydziale Odlewnictwa w Akademii Górniczo-Hutniczej.
The article discusses the research problematics of machines and equipment for casting technologies, with the consideration of the scope of research performed in Poland in the second half of the twentieth century at main domestic university facilities as well as at the Foundry Research Institute in Kraków. General characteristics of the research were performed, with the determination of the effects stimulating the, then, intensive development of the Polish foundry, whose equipment was constituted by domestically produced casting machines and technological apparatus. An analysis was conducted of selected aspects of the condition of the Polish foundry, with the indication of the factors limiting the development and productivity of small and medium casting enterprises, which dominate in the domestic foundry industry. Against the background synthesis of earlier domestic research and the advancement of investigations and technological implementations into the industry in leading Western countries, the need for developing the production of new generation machines and equipment was pointed out, with the purpose to autonomize the domestic enterprises in respect of access to the knowledge aimed at improving efficiency and quality of the casting production. Exemplary investigations were presented, in the scope of a scientific aid in modernizing the foundry machine equipment, conducted at the Faculty of Foundry Engineering of AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków.

Opis:
The construction of technological test stands is connected with the problem of the proper determination of the structure of the stands to enable the execution of technological processes with different types of instruments and devices. The article presents a test stand for Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) technological processes. The configurability of the stand was achieved thanks to the modular structure of the stand and the use of appropriate software and hardware solutions. The authors present examples of the utilisation of the structure of the stand for the modernisation of existing technological devices and the development of new ones.
Budowa technologicznych stanowisk badawczych przeznaczonych do prac rozwijających nowe technologie wiąże się z problemem określenia właściwej struktury stanowiska, umożliwiającej realizację procesu z odpowiednim oprzyrządowaniem lub realizację różnych procesów z wybranymi zestawami oprzyrządowania. W artykule przedstawiono stanowisko do badań procesów technologii Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD). Możliwość rekonfiguracji stanowiska uzyskano poprzez zastosowanie modułowej struktury stanowiska oraz odpowiednich rozwiązań systemu sterowania odnoszących się do warstwy sprzętowej i programowej. Przedstawiono przykłady wykorzystania struktury stanowiska do modernizacji istniejących i budowy nowych urządzeń technologicznych.
