The study's aim is the analysis and the assessment the EU climate policy and its impacts on the development of conditions of the Polish conventional energy sector. The EU climate policy has a strong influence on Polish energy sector to the year 2020 and further. The position of Polish energy sector is unusual in Europe due to the structure of domestic energy balance. This all with confrontation to the EU aspirations for low carbon economy gives uncertain perspectives for the conventional energy sector. The very ambitious EU climate package and the New Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) led Poland to enormous investments in modernization of coal power and heat plants, very expensive CCS technologies and nuclear power plants. The energy sector isn't able to finance all theseprograms. The climate package and the IED will generate also the increase of energy prices in the next two decades which will be very difficult to absorpt by the national industry and households.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań zużycia energii elektrycznej w operacji masowania mięsa w masownicy mieszadłowej. Artykuł jest kontynuacją pracy nt. „Analiza składników mocy napędu masownicy do mięsa”, opublikowanej na łamach „Inżynierii Rolniczej”. W badaniach wykonano pomiary mocy i energii pobieranych przez układy masownicy mieszadłowej o pojemności 150 litrów. Jest to masownica wyposażona w następujące układy funkcjonalne: napęd mieszadła, napęd pompy próżniowej, agregat chłodniczy, system przechyłu zbiornika oraz programowalny sterownik elektroniczny. Podczas badań rejestrowano moce tych układów. Pomiary przeprowadzono dla pracy masownicy bez załadunku i po załadowaniu zbiornika surowcem mięsnym. W badaniu zastosowano minimalny wymagany stopień załadunku. Dokonano porównania zużycia energii dla pracy masownicy bez załadunku i z załadunkiem.
In this experiment an energy of the tumbler systems during the work was measured. To the research an agitator tumbler with the 150l container was used. An energy of the tumbler system was measured during the work without container load and during the work with the minimal required load level. An energy was also calculated from the tumbler power diagrams. The target of experiment was an energetic analysis of the meat tumbler work. Finally, measured values during the work without load and with load was compared.

Constrained by the micro-space structure, it is proposed to use platinum wire incandescent ignition combustion mode to achieve the operation of internal combustion engine. However, the combustion test of the platinum wire incandescent ignition in miniature piston internal combustion engine shows: the combustion mode of micro-space platinum wire incandescent ignition has a poor combustion characteristic, low heat release rate, long combustion duration, and low combustion pressure. Therefore, a homogenous charge compression ignition mode is proposed to realize the operation of miniature internal combustion engine. However, it is found that the compression combustion cannot be come true in the cold start-up state of the micro engine. And the compression combustion in the first cycle was realized by the way of increasing the temperature of the cylinder block and platinum wire appropriately. The results show that: The maximum heat release rate is obviously improved and the combustion duration shortened by 28.6ºCA, and pmi increased by 76%. So, a novel hybrid combustion mode of in-cylinder compression combustion supported by the platinum wire incandescent ignition is put forward, through the way of adjusting the temperature of platinum wire, and this combustion mode is regarded as the ideal combustion mode of micro reciprocating piston internal combustion engine.

Dnieprovsky lignite basin, situated in central part of Ukraine over the area of about 400 km2, contains more than 150 deposits. About 55 deposits have industrial significance. Their reserves are 2.4 billion tons. Seams and lenses of coaly clays and sands overlay the coal series and occur between coal packets. The coaly clays are classified into this category because their ash content exceeds 40%. Our investigations show that coaly rocks are similar to lignite in composition and properties. They have ash content from 40% up to 60%, the same elementary composition of organic matter. As well as bitumen and humic acids yield. It has been established that coaly rocks can be used as energy and chemical raw material, the basis of good carbon sorbents with high adsorptional capacitance. The recommendation of coaly rocks for mining and processing is difficult because of lack of information in geological reports on their quantity, composition and properties, as they are considered as host rocks but not as mineral resources. If the usable coal limit was accepted at 50% of ash content, the coal reserves of some deposits would have increased 1.5-2 times.

Opis:
With the massive expansion of decentralised renewable energy in electricity grid networks, the power supply system has been changed from centralised to decentralised one and from directional to bi-directional one. However, due to the regional energy structure difference in the power imbalance between electricity generation and consumption is becoming more and more serious. A grid-scale energy storage system (ESS) can be one solution to balance the local difference. In this paper, two charging/discharging strategies for the grid-scale ESS were proposed to decide when and with how much power to charge/discharge the ESS. In order to realise the two strategies, this paper focuses on the application of fuzzy logic control system. The proposed strategies aim to reduce the peak power generation, consumption and the grid fluctuation. In particular, this paper analysis the ratio between energy-capacity and rated power of ESS. The performance of the proposed strategies is evaluated from two aspects, the normalised power of ESS itself and the influence on the power grid. Simulation studies were carried out on the rule-based control systems with different energy-to-power (e2p) ratios, and the results show that the proposed charging strategy with combination of extreme situation of power imbalance and the rest capacity of ESS provides a smooth load curve for the regional power grid system while the external power exchange is reduced effectively.

In this paper are compared two models of energy losses: that suggested by Prof. Paszota, Z. in monograph “Energy losses in the hydraulic displacement motors – definitions and relations serving the evaluation of the efficiency of hydrostatic drive” [18] and that of Prof. Balawender, A. in “Energy analysis and methodology of testing of low-speed hydraulic motors” [1]. By using the data obtained from the tests of SWSB-63 hydraulic motors [2] the graphs which illustrate mechanical, volumetric and pressure losses in function of the parameters on which the losses directly depend [18 ], have been elaborated and showed in comparison with the description of such losses in function of the parameters assumed in [1]. The below presented text has been complemented in relation to that published in the monograph [4] and read during the scientific technical conference „Cylinder 2010” organized by the Mining Engineering Centre „Komag”, Gliwice, and held on 20÷22 September 2010 in Rytro, Poland.

This paper shows application of the method of sum of power losses to determining energy losses which occur in hydraulic rotary motor in situation when not all laboratory data are at one’s disposal or when no use is made of data contained in catalogue charts. The method makes it possible to determine the coefficients, ki, of energy losses occurring in the motor. The method of sum of power losses is based on the approach proposed by Z. Paszota, in the papers [3 ÷ 9]. It consists in adding power flow of energy losses occurring in the motor to power flow output and comparing the sum to the power flow input. Application of the method is exemplified by using a A6VM hydraulic motor.

Arrangements made at the latest EU climate and energy summits as well as the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources set out the rules for how Poland is to achieve the 15% target of total primary energy from renewables by 2020. The share of RES in national energy consumption (150 TWh) is estimated at 8.6 TWh in 2009 (5.7%) and 12 TWh in 2011 (8%). The authors studied selected rivers in the Dolnoslaskie and Opolskie provinces in terms of their capability for hydropower generation. To this end, locations were identified on the Odra, Nysa Klodzka and Nysa Luzycka, in which hydropower plants might be built or opened. Calculations indicate that the total theoretical power capacity of proposed power plant locations and the average energy of investigated watercourses stand at about 21.653 MW and 189.6 GWh/year, respectively. In view of the requirement of promoting the use of RES, the authors propose to carry out a comprehensive study and to calculate the hydraulic parameters and/or hydropower indicators for all the watercourses located in the Dolnoslaskie and Opolskie provinces.
Ustalenia z ostatnich szczytów klimatyczno-energetycznych UE oraz Dyrektywa Parlamentu Europejskiego i Rady z 2009 r. w sprawie promowania stosowania energii ze źródeł odnawialnych określają zasady dojścia przez Polskę w 2020 r. do 15% udziału tej energii w całej energii pierwotnej. Udział energii elektrycznej odnawialnej w krajowym zużyciu energii (150 TWh) wynosił: 8,6 TWh w roku 2009 (5,7%) oraz 12 TWh w 2011 roku (8%). Autorzy przebadali wybrane rzeki województw dolnośląskiego i opolskiego w aspekcie ich hydroenergetycznego wykorzystania. W tym celu wytypowano lokalizacje na Odrze, Nysie Kłodzkiej i Nysie Łużyckiej, gdzie można wybudować lub odtworzyć elektrownie wodne. Z obliczeń wynika, że dla proponowanych lokalizacji pod elektrownie sumaryczna moc teoretyczna i energia średnia dla rozpatrywanych cieków będą na poziomie 21,653 MW i 189,6 GWh/rok. W aspekcie wymogów promowania odnawialnych źródeł energii (OZE) autorzy proponują przeprowadzenie kompleksowych badań i obliczeń hydrologicznych parametrów hydroenergetycznych dla wszystkich cieków zlokalizowanych w województwach dolnośląskim i opolskim.

Przypomniano najważniejsze zapisy aktów prawnych traktujących o bezpiecznym prowadzeniu prac przy urządzeniach i instalacjach elektroenergetycznych. Przedstawiono zasady, uwzględniające te przepisy, na podstawie których prace takie powinny być prowadzone. Scharakteryzowano przyczyny wypadków, jakie zaistniały podczas takich prac i zilustrowano niektóre z nich fotografiami. W podsumowaniu zaakcentowano przyczyny wypadków określone na podstawie analizy ich przyczyn i okoliczności powstania.
The most important legal acts relating to safe works at power energy devices and installations have been reminded in the paper. The principles have been presented allowing for the regulations according to them the works should be conducted. The reasons of accidents which happened during such works have been characterized and some of them have been illustrated with photographs. The reasons of the accidents determined on the basis of analysis of their causes and circumstances of occurrence have been emphasized in the conclusion of the paper.

Stacje transformatorowe średniego napięcia na niskie napięcie (SN/nn) spełniają podobną rolę w sieciach niskiego napięcia jak główne punkty zasilania (GPZ) w sieci średniego napięcia. Budowa nowej stacji transformatorowej SN/nn zmienia warunki pracy elektroenergetycznej sieci rozdzielczej na danym terenie poprzez: . zmniejszenie długości ciągów sieci dystrybucyjnej nn, . zmiany w rozpływie prądów, . zmniejszenie spadków napięcia, . zmniejszenie strat mocy i energii w istniejącym układzie, . zwiększenie pewności zasilania. W referacie przedstawiono wyniki obliczeń strat mocy i energii dla różnych stanów pracy sieci dystrybucyjnej niskiego napięcia. Do analizy strat mocy i energii w sieci rozdzielczej nn zastosowano model liniowy sieci. Praca stanowi kontynuację tematu zawartego w pracy [1].
In the paper there are presented selected methods of minimizing power and energy loss in low-voltage networks feeding rural and suburban areas. The analysis is carried out with the use of a linear model of the network with a uniform power load along the network tracks. In order to decrease the energy loss (per one recipient) in a network with linear load (Fig. 2) one should avoid the feeding of too small a number of loads from one MV/LV transformer station (the number of connected loads should exceed 18-22). The calculations have shown that the construction of an additional feeding point usually leads to the decrease of the power and energy loss.

The problem of large speed loss exists in the traditional passing through the electric phase-separation method of trains, which is more prominent when trains pass through an electric phase-separation zone in the uphill section of long ramps and may lead to the trains not passing through the phase-separation zone safely. In order to solve this problem, based on the energy storage type railroad power conditioner, a train uninterrupted phase-separation passing system based on the energy storage type railroad power conditioner is proposed. The energy storage railroad power conditioner can realize the recovery and utilization of regenerative braking energy of the electrified railroad. In the structure of the energy storage railroad power conditioner, the single-phase inverter is led from the middle DC side of the energy storage railroad power conditioner and connected to the neutral line through the LCL filter and the step-up transformer, which constitutes an uninterrupted phase separation passing system. The single-phase inverter is controlled using virtual synchronous generator technology, which allows the single-phase inverter to have external characteristics similar to those of a synchronous generator, providing support for the voltage and frequency in the neutral zone. The power required by the train to pass the electric phase-separation is provided by the power supply arm or the energy storage system, which not only improves the utilization rate of regenerative braking energy but also realizes the uninterrupted phase separation passing of the train through the control of the voltage in the neutral region.

Opis:
The operation of an autonomous movable objects, such as a sea transport vessels, implies the presence of a source of potential energy on board the vessel and the possibility of converting this energy into the work required for the autonomous movable object (vessel). Being an autonomous object, a transport vessel should be provided with energy for it moving, energy for heat exchange processes on board and electricity for powering electrical equipment, automation and navigation systems, and household needs on board. An analysis of the component of the engine room equipment made it possible to designate (combine) the generating equipment of mechanical energy flow, equipment which are generating the heat energy flow and equipment which are generating the electric energy flow. Based on the results of the research the relationships between the energy flows are identified connections and ways to ensure stabilization of energy generation on board the cargo vessel is outlined. Using the results of the research the relationships between the energy flows will reduce the likelihood of accidents on board a cargo vessel due to a stop in the generation of one of the energy flows and thereby ensure increased safety of man at sea. Taking into account the peculiarities of the distribution of energy flows in ship power plants can be an effective tool not only to improve the economic performance of it, but also to increase the safety of navigation and navigation in general, due to the reliable provision of uninterrupted and efficient operation of ship power plants.
