Opis:
This paper analysis approaches and possibilities of executive model aimed to MDA approach. The second part of the article proposes guideline to create executive model, describes basic interactions to object oriented approach and shows possibilities of creating a core of executable model in Java programming language. Annotations are used for executive model object extension. Reflection concept is used for model execution and synchronization provides extended Petri net formalism defined in [1]. The model has been tested on LFLC software package developed by IRAFM, University of Ostrava to prove the whole concept.

The simulation as a tool for the design of port and terminals has emerged as an answer for the demand to enhance the quality and reliability of the project results. Very high costs of the project solution implementation and practically total lack of liquidity of transport infrastructure objects always induced the immense commercial risks in the terminal business. Lately these risks have multiplied significantly due to rapid changes on the global and regional markets of transport services. Today, many experts come to see this volatility as an indicator of the next phase in development of the global trade system and the derivative cargo transportation system, specifically the state of temporal saturation. The shift of the global goods volumes from quick and steady growth to relatively small fluctuations around constant values causes quick oscillations in re-distribution of demand over the oversized supply. This new business and economic environment seriously affected the paradigm of transport terminal design and development techniques. The new operational environment of terminals put a request for the designers to arrange the results not in terms of “point”, but in terms of “functions”. Eventually it resulted in development of the modern object-oriented model approach. The wide spread of this approach witnesses the objective demand for this discipline, while in many aspects it remains in the intuitive (pre-paradigmal) phase of its development. The main reason for it is in the problem definition itself, which usually is formulated as the simulation of a given terminal. At the same time, the task is to assess the operational characteristics of the terminal engaged in processing of a given combination of cargo flows. Consequently, it is not the terminal that should be simulated, but the processes of cargo flows handling performed by this terminal under investigation. Another problem that restricts the practical spread of simulation is in the model adequacy. A model which adequacy is not proved has no gnoseological value at all. The paper describes the approach aimed at development of the models with the features discussed above.

The work-family balance is a state of globally assessed equilibrium in which labour resources enable employees to meet the requirements and expectations of the family, while family resources enable family members to meet the requirements and expectations of the work, making it possible to act effectively in both areas. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate that the problem of reconciling work and family life is of global reach (and particularly acute in Western societies). Also, to present differences between selected countries in this aspect. Our hypothesis assumes that, taking work-life balance into consideration, Poland is in the worst situation among these countries. Following Korpi’s classification, the countries we have selected for the analysis are: Germany, Belgium (examples of the general family support model), Sweden, Finland (the dual earner support model) and the United Kingdom (the market-oriented model). Although Poland is not present in Korpi’s classification, we include it in our analysis as an example of a different model, not mentioned by Korpi, namely, the paternalistic-market model.

The purpose of the work was to assess the results of simulation of soil water content (SWC) and the simulated crop yield quantity using a module LandscapeDNDC model which belongs to the family of DNDC models. The assessment was conducted on the outcome data gathered during the simulation carried out in the experimental plots of Agricultural Experimental Station in Brody (nearby Poznań, Poland) in the period of 28 March to 13 August 2012. The crops grown in the experimental fields were as follows: alfalfa, potatoes, winter wheat, rye and spring barley. Average daily content of water in the soil at the depth of 10 cm from 28 March to 13 August 2012 was 12.95 ± 0.52% (CI = 95%). This value was measured by the sensors installed in the automatic measurement site located 20–60 meters from individual experimental fields. This area in 2011/2012 was overgrown by low vegetation (monocotyledons and dicotyledons). Simulated average value of SWC for the experimental plots in the same period was 12.43 ± 0.85%. These results lead to a conclusion that the model correctly simulates water conditions of the soil. Simulations conducted in LandscapeDNDC brought the crop yield results which amounted from 64.4 to 116.1% of the specific actual crop yield. The crop yield quantity of spring barley was simulated most accurately, then the crops of alfalfa, winter wheat and potatoes. The measured quantity of winter rye crop yield (7.1 t ha-1) differs from national average quantity which was 2.4 t ha-1 in the years from 1999 to 2011. Such a big crop yield obtained in the experimental plot is rare in farming conditions, which results in the overestimation of the crop yield quantity by the model.

Purpose: The purpose is to define the efficiency and priorities of modernization of Ukraine’s trade integration with the EU countries in the implementation of DCFTA and to attempt to assess the indirect effects of the free trade agreement between countries. Design/methodology/approach: To this end, a comparative analysis was carried out to assess the effectiveness of the Association Agreement and to identify the asymmetry of trade and economic integration between Ukraine and the EU. The correlation regression method was used to determine the dependence of Ukraine’s exports to the EU countries on GDP changes and to identify the integration impacts on economic growth. In turn, the extrapolation method was employed to calculate forecasts for the economic growth rate and GDP per capita. Findings: Determining the effectiveness and priorities of modernization of the trade integration format of Ukraine-EU in the implementation of the DCFTA, as well as evaluation of the intermediate results of the FTA between the countries. At present, it is necessary to modernize the format of Ukraine’s trade integration with the EU in the context of the implementation of the DCFTA. Three main vectors for updating the Agreement have been identified as priorities: deepening sectoral integration; increasing duty-free export to the EU market; eliminating non-tariff measures restricting trade with the EU along with signing a number of agreements for the above-mentioned purpose. Research limitations/implications: The results of the study will be useful to researchers of relevant issues, students, graduate students, doctoral students and teachers specializing in international relations and other academic disciplines, and the developed initiatives can be used by the government to form a new negotiating position on the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU. Originality/value: Forecasting and modeling the Ukraine-EU foreign trade turnover based on the use of the gravity model and correlation-regression analysis confirms that the introduction of the DCFTA in 2016–2017 allowed Ukraine to increase exports to the EU and modernization of the trade part of the agreement will positively affect the economic and social development of Ukraine. In this context, it is necessary to take into account the national interests and trade partners, in particular the possibility of Ukraine’s support for the EU initiative “European Green Deal” on the path to the formation of Europe as a carbon-neutral continent.
Cel: celem jest określenie efektywności i priorytetów modernizacji integracji handlowej Ukrainy z państwami UE przy wdrażaniu pogłębionej i kompleksowej umowy o wolnym handlu (DCFTA) oraz próba oceny pośrednich skutków umowy o wolnym handlu między krajami. Metodologia: w tym celu przeprowadzono analizę porównawczą, aby ocenić skuteczność układu o stowarzyszeniu oraz określić asymetrię handlu i integrację gospodarczą między Ukrainą a UE. Do określenia zależności eksportu Ukrainy do krajów UE od zmian PKB, a także wpływu integracji na wzrost gospodarczy wykorzystano metodę regresji korelacji. Z kolei metoda ekstrapolacji została zastosowana do wyliczenia prognoz tempa wzrostu gospodarczego i PKB na mieszkańca. Wyniki: określenie skuteczności i priorytetów modernizacji formatu integracji handlowej Ukrainy z UE we wdrażaniu DCFTA oraz ocena pośrednich skutków umowy między krajami. Obecnie konieczne jest unowocześnienie formatu integracji handlowej Ukrainy z UE w kontekście realizacji DCFTA. Za priorytetowe uznano trzy główne kierunki aktualizacji umowy: pogłębienie integracji sektorowej; zwiększenie bezcłowego eksportu na rynek UE; zniesienie pozataryfowych środków ograniczających handel z UE wraz z podpisaniem w tym celu szeregu porozumień. Ograniczenia/implikacje badawcze: wyniki badań będą przydatne dla badaczy tej tematyki, studentów, doktorantów i wykładowców specjalizujących się w stosunkach międzynarodowych i innych dyscyplinach naukowych, a wypracowane inicjatywy mogą posłużyć rządowi do sformułowania nowego stanowiska negocjacyjnego w sprawie układu o stowarzyszeniu między Ukrainą a UE. Oryginalność/wartość: prognozowanie i modelowanie obrotów handlu zagranicznego między Ukrainą a UE w oparciu o model grawitacyjny i analizę regresji korelacji potwierdza, że wprowadzenie DCFTA w latach 2016–2017 pozwoliło Ukrainie na zwiększenie eksportu do UE, a unowocześnienie handlowej części porozumienia pozytywnie wpłynie na rozwój gospodarczy i społeczny. W tym kontekście konieczne jest uwzględnienie interesów narodowych i partnerów handlowych, zwłaszcza możliwości wsparcia przez Ukrainę unijnej inicjatywy „Europejski Zielony Ład” na drodze do kształtowania się Europy jako kontynentu neutralnego pod względem emisji dwutlenku węgla.

The article deals with the scientific approaches towards the educational space. It is noted that the necessary precondition of creating personal space of the child in preschool educational institutions of any property category is the support of a personality-oriented model of interaction between the participants of the educational process. It is stressed that among other modern technologies, which are actively implemented into the practice of work of pre-school educational institutions of Ukraine, the international “Talking Walls” technique should be singled out as the one that gives the child a chance to be the master of their personal space. The essence of the technology is that the child, receiving the necessary information, has the right to plan their activities, make constructive use of the information resource. In other words, the “Talking Walls” technique is a visualization system of knowledge and the process of immersion of preschoolers and adults into the educational space of kindergarten. Therefore, the joint organization of individual and group partnership with children is a synthesis of organized learning and self-regulated learning (in the broadest sense), in the course of which information (which is freely received from different sources) acquires the status of a subjective (personal) knowledge. The “Talking Walls” technique is not something new and unknown to the Ukrainian colleagues, but it gives the opportunity to look at the educational process from the new angle, to convert it according to the requests of the child’s perception and psycho-physiological development.
W artykule przedstawiono naukowe podejścia do projektowania oświatowego obszaru przedszkola. Zaznaczono, że koniecznym warunkiem stworzenia osobistego obszaru dziecka w edukacji przedszkolnej, o dowolnej formie własności, jest oparcie jej o model współdziałania między uczestnikami procesu oświatowego. Zaakcentowano, iż nowoczesne technologie aktywnie wprowadzono do praktyk w przedszkolach Ukrainy, szczególnie tę o charakterze międzynarodowym, nazywaną „ściany, które mówią” (tytuł oryginalny „Talking Walls”). Istota tej techniki polega na tym, że dziecko, otrzymując konieczną informację, ma prawo i możliwość zaplanować swoją działalność, wykorzystując przy tym posiadane zasoby w sposób konstruktywny. Innymi słowy, technika „ściany, które mówią” jest systemem wizualizacji wiedzy oraz procesem zanurzenia przedszkolaków i dorosłych w system oświatowy przedszkola. Metoda ta nie jest obca ukraińskim nauczycielom. Pozwala ona na nowe postrzeganie systemu oświatowego oraz jego bieżącą modyfikację w kierunku rozwoju psychofizycznego dziecka.

This article presents a new development of an indirect stator flux-oriented controller for sensorless speed induction motor drive utilising instantaneous and steady-state values, respectively, of a fictitious resistance symbolised as R_f. The dimension of the fictitious quantity, in this context, is the ohm, which is the difference between the stator d- and q-axis fictitious resistances. However, from the measurement of the stator voltage and currents of the machine, two independent resistance estimators are built. Therefore, the first is considered as a reference model of the induction machine (IM), and the second is considered as an adjustable model. Subsequently, the error between the states of the two models is used to drive a suitable adaptation mechanism that generates the estimation of the speed, for the adjustable model. Furthermore, the structure of the proposed estimator is free from stator resistance and eliminates the requirement of any flux computation. All the detailed simulation study is carried out in MATLAB/Simulink to validate the proposed method and to highlight the robustness and the stability of the proposed model reference adaptive system estimator.

The article reconstructs selected contexts of police training in the United States of America. The narration concentrates on the historical origins of police training as well as on the dominant relevant trends in presentday American society. Furthermore, the paper seeks to compare the two ways of thinking about police training which influencethe training programs in police academies. The author presents methods of shaping the identity of policemen, the firstof which is a military model and the second one is an academic model. The text focuses moreover on the evolution of the operating system of the American police: from intervention-oriented to a community-oriented model, which is constantly gaining importance in some police training programs.

This work investigates the use of enterprise models for service configuration with a focus on knowledge related to organizational roles. Starting from an industrial case, it presents an approach to extract a role’s information demand from an enterprise model and to use this as initial configuration for agent-based services. In addition to the meta-model included in the enterprise modeling language, the use of a common ontology is proposed which captures both, the perspective of information demand and services. The architecture of the agentbased services is following the idea to characterize all actors by their roles and to represent them by sets of services. This approach facilitates self-organization in the service level. The main contributions of the paper are (1) to show that a role’s information demand is relevant for service configuration, (2) to present a way of extracting information demand from enterprise models, and (3) to extend an approach for SOA-based enterprise representation with information demand.

Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) is a revolution in education. To create an astronomical software, one should use the most effective method to produce the quickest hardware calculation. However, the not so effective object oriented paradigm seems to have bigger influence on the astronomical domain. We discuss the status quo of its methodology. The traditional, Turing computation model does not have so distinct influence on knowledge creation because it is hardware-oriented. An object oriented programming language is more influential on discovery, because it works directly in the scientific domain.

The model predictive control (MPC) technique has been widely applied in a large number of industrial plants. Optimal input design should guarantee acceptable model parameter estimates while still providing for low experimental effort. The goal of this work is to investigate an application-oriented identification experiment that satisfies the performance objectives of the implementation of the model. A- and D-optimal input signal design methods for a non-linear liquid two-tank model are presented in this paper. The excitation signal is obtained using a finite impulse response filter (FIR) with respect to the accepted application degradation and the power constraint. The MPC controller is then used to control the liquid levels of the double tank system subject to the reference trajectory. The MPC scheme is built based on the linearized and discretized model of the system to predict the system’s succeeding outputs with reference to the future input signal. The novelty of this model-based method consists in including the experiment cost in input design through the objective function. The proposed framework is illustrated by means of numerical examples, and simulation results are discussed.

Opis:
In this paper, a rotor current fault monitoring method is proposed based on a sliding mode observer. Firstly, the state-space model of the Double-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) is constructed by vector transformation. Meanwhile, the stator voltage orientation vector control method is applied to decouple a stator and rotor currents, so as to obtain the correlation between the stator and rotor current. Furthermore, the mathematical model of stator voltage orientation is obtained. Then a state sliding mode observer (SMO) is established for the output current of the rotor of the DFIG. The stability and reachability of the system in a limited time is proved. Finally, the system state is determined by the residuals of the measured and estimated rotor currents. The simulation results show that the method proposed in this paper can effectively monitor the status: a normal state, voltage drop faults, short-circuit faults between windings, and rotor current sensor faults which have the advantages of fast response, high stability.
