The article presents the analysis of the offer of Scania Poland in the area of tourist and intercity buses. There were characterized the technical solutions used in the buses and their exploitation parameters. There were also discussed the new bus engines meeting the requirements of Euro 6.

In this paper a formal presentation and description of a method of solving the problem of both determining the set of bus stops and assignment of students that are authorized to transport to these stops is investigated. This problem can be treated as a sub problem of the bus school routing problem (SBRP). Although the problems of the SBRP class are one of the earliest logistics problems solved using methods of operations research, they remain valid and are the subject of research, as evidenced by numerous contemporary publications. Unfortunately, in most of the problems of SBRP class described in the literature the problem of determining the bus stops network and allocation of students to the particular stops is very often ignored. Based on the assumption that a small number of bus stops, from which the students are taken or to which they are set down, makes carrying out of school transport process easier, a problem of minimizing the number of active bus stops was considered. The main result of this paper is proposition of a greedy algorithm to solving the problem of determining the minimum set of school bus stops. To illustrate functioning the proposed algorithm a simple numerical example has been presented.

Możne posłużyć do różnych zastosowań w dziedzinie militarnej, operacjach ratowniczych, jak i turystyce. Artykuł koncentruje się na opisie koncepcji ,,pływających autobusów” w rożnych krajach. Sukces każdej koncepcji w dużej mierze opiera się na badaniach i rozwoju, chociaż są już znane autobusy amfibie, pojazdy tego typu mają jeszcze przed sobą długą drogę innowacyjnego rozwoju.
The article presents innovative concepts of the construction of ,,swimming buses” as a means of transport, both on land and on water. Amphibian is a dual-use vehicle. It can be used for various applications in the military area, rescue operations, as well as tourism. The article focuses on the description of the concept of an ,,swimming buses” in various countries. The success of each concept is largely based on research and development, although amphibious buses are already known, and vehicles of this type still have a long way to go through innovative development.

Breaker substitution, stub bus, and station bypass are temporary substation configurations used to facilitate the maintenance of primary equipment while keeping assets in service and supplying loads. These configurations provide considerable operational advantages but create challenges for protection systems. Traditional solutions to temporary bus configurations required for electromechanical relays utilize test and bypass switches to ensure the affected relays are provided with the appropriate currents and voltages and the trip signals are routed to the appropriate breakers. In some cases, spare relays, settings changes, and the rerouting of pilot signals and communications have been required. All these manual operations increase the danger of misoperation when making changes, during temporary configurations, or when restoring to the normal configuration. As a result, temporary bus configurations have been carefully considered and often avoided, resulting in underutilization of the network assets. This paper shows how modern microprocessor-based relays can simplify applications under temporary bus configurations, eliminate the need for any manual reconfiguration, and improve the performance of protection. These benefits stem from the ability to connect multiple current and voltage inputs, the ability to trip multiple breakers, communication between relays, and programmable logic, allowing automatic detection and dynamic response to temporary bus configurations.

Niewątpliwie jedną z najważniejszych premier tegorocznych targów Busworld Europe była nowa generacja autobusu turystycznego MAN Lion’s Coach. Przedpremierowy pokaz tego pojazdu miał miejsce w Warszawie i w Starachowicach w lipcu br. Z kolei „bliźniaczy” Neoplan Tourliner miał swoją premierę podczas ubiegłorocznych targów IAA w Hanowerze. Należy podkreślić, że zmiany stylistyczne i konstrukcyjne, jakie wprowadzono w obydwu modelach autobusów w minionych 20 latach, podobnie jak w przypadku ich głównego konkurenta, jakim jest Mercedes-Benz Tourismo, w pełni odzwierciedlają trendy, jakie zaszły na rynku przewozów dalekobieżnych nie tylko w państwach Europy Centralnej i Wschodniej, ale w całej Europie. W niniejszym artykule zaprezentowano rozwiązania techniczne i eksploatacyjne w nowych autobusach MAN i Neoplan.

The article deals with green investment focused on urban public transport. This work presents a holistic approach to evaluating investments in electric and CNG buses, i.e., the economic efficiency assessment, including the risk aspect. The investment project is assessed in terms of the source of funding and risk factors affecting the profitability of the project. A non-repayable subsidy from the European Social Fund in the amount of 0%, 25%, 50% and 90% of investment costs is considered. Economic efficiency is assessed in terms of profitability through the financial criterion Net Present Value (NPV) and risk using mean NPV and standard deviation. The result of the evaluation of the variants of the investment project is that the investment project without the support of non-repayable resources is loss-making. With a low level of financial support, it is more economical to procure CNG buses. With a higher level of financial support, investments in electric buses are more profitable, due to lower operating costs

Opis:
Load flow studies are carried out in order to find a steady state solution of a power system network. It is done to continuously monitor the system and decide upon future expansion of the system. The parameters of the system monitored are voltage magnitude, voltage angle, active and reactive power. This paper presents techniques used in order to obtain such parameters for a standard IEEE – 30 bus and IEEE-57 bus network and makes a comparison into the differences with regard to computational time and effectiveness of each solver.

The paper studied the work of bus routes passing through a street. Optimality criterion was chosen for the development of appropriate models of effective work of buses on the land. The paper proposes a new model costing time passengers at bus stops. A method of technique was developed to coordinate the buses running on the combined section of route.
В статье изучена работа автобусных маршрутов проходящих по одной улице. Выбран критерий оптимальности для разработки целесообразной модели эффективной работы автобусов по рассматриваемому участку. В статье предложена новая модель оценки затрат времени пассажиров на остановках. Разработана методика координации работы автобусов работающих на совмещенном участке маршрута.

26 września bieżącego roku w fabryce Volvo we Wrocławiu odbyła się prezentacja oferty w zakresie autobusów hybrydowych, elektrycznych hybrydowych oraz elektrycznych. Przedstawiono działania nakierowane na wspieranie rozwoju napędów alternatywnych dla układów tradycyjnych w autobusach, które doskonale wpisują się w rządowy Plan Rozwoju Elektromobilności, choć powodowane były niezależnie przyjętą strategią firmy.
On the 26th of September this year, at the Volvo factory in Wroclaw, was presentation of hybrids, electric-hybrid and electric buses. There have been presented support for the development of alternatives for conventional bus systems. However they are perfectly aligned to the Government’s Electromobility Development Plan, were result of independent company’s strategy.

Warsaw has the most developed public transportation system in Poland and, therefore, the longest network of bus only lanes. The studies show a significant number of their violations made by individual vehicles, mostly because of complex traffic conditions and lack of physical separation from the other road lanes. This situation leads not only to road traffic law violations, but also mainly to disturbance in regularity and efficiency of bus connections. According to similar solutions implemented in other cities, Motor Transport Institute designed a concept bus lane enforcement system for Warsaw, which comprises the analysis of state-of-the-art law regulations on using monitoring systems in Poland, as well as operational and technical conditions for implementing the designed system and the concept of the system and system architecture itself. During the research, Motor Transport Institute conducted a complex audit of the bus lanes, in result of which the desired locations for ANPR camera points were identified. The article thoroughly describes the Polish law regulations on ANPR cameras location and confronts is with the actual needs regarding specific urban road sections. It also presents the methodology adopted for localizing the camera points. As a result, several examples of proposed locations are presented and discussed in terms of their compliance with the regulations, necessity for changing the traffic system on the specific road section and efficiency in bus lane enforcement.
