DHV POLSKA opracowało kompletną dokumentację projektową (w tym projekt budowlano-wykonawczy, technologię montażu i program sprężania) kładki pieszo-jezdnej przez rzekę Rabę w miejscowości Lubień, w powiecie myślenickim. Budowa kładki jest realizowana w systemie projektuj i buduj. Konstrukcję niosącą zaprojektowano jako wstęgową z betonu sprężonego. Jest to pierwsza tego typu kładka w Polsce i jedna z niewielu na świecie. R ealizacja tej kładki wstęgowej dostarczyła bardzo cennych doświadczeń w zakresie realizacji konstrukcji wstęgowych z betonu sprężonego.
DHV POLAND developed a complete design documentation (including construction – executive project, assembly technology and compression program) for the footbridge over the River Raba in Lubień. Construction of the bridge is implemented in the system ‘design and build’. The carrying construction is designed as a ribbon of prestressed concrete. This is the first such bridge in Poland and one of the few in the world. Implementation of a ribbon bridge offers very valuable experience in the completion of ribbon structures of prestressed concrete

Opis:
The proof of a concept for a new method of modulation has been presented which reduce switch count in a three-level neutral point clamped (3L-NPC) inverter. The method is an implementation of space vector modulation (SVM) by means of a prediction algorithm and sequences of transistors, which are not common in use. Those sequences make active use of clamping diodes of the inverter. The prediction algorithm analyzes possible sequences of transistors’ states and choose those which offers smaller switch count. Measurements of steady states were taken on prototype 3L-NPC.

The aim of the paper is to present a concept of implementation of a space vector modulation (SVM) algorithm, which is used to create alternating current waveforms of changing amplitude and frequency in power inverters. The main goal of the method is to decrease the number of state changes in power transistors. It is realized by utilizing a prediction algorithm and sequences of transistors, which are not common in use. The method requires measurement of inverter output current flow. The prediction algorithm analyzes possible sequences of transistors’ states and choose those which offers smaller switch count. A decrease of about 20% was obtained for the cases tested. This paper presents simulation result for selected driving scenario. The described method decreases the number of state changes in power transistors and therefore it is a potentially good method to considerably decrease energy losses of multilevel inverter-powered drive.

Opis:
The minimum-time problem for a glider flying in the vertical plane is considered. The glider is regarded as a particle moving in the atmosphere in given thermal conditions. The problem is formulated in optimal control and solved using direct pseudospectral Chebysev's method. The data are taken for the Word Class Glider PW-5 "Smyk". Computed optimum results are compared with glider's trajectories from the Second Domestic Glider Championship 2006, Suwałki, Poland.
Rozważono zagadnienie minimalno-czasowe ruchu szybowca w płaszczyźnie pionowej. Szybowiec jest modelowany jak uskrzydlony punkt materialny poruszający się w atmosferze przy zadanych warunkach termicznych. Zagadnienie zostało sformułowane za pomocą formalizmu teorii sterowania optymalnego. Rozwiązano je bezpośrednią pseudospektralną metodą Czebyszewa. Wykorzystano dane dla szybowca Klasy Światowej PW-5 "Smyk". Wyznaczone trajektorie optymalne porównano z trajektoriami uzyskanymi w czasie Drugich Krajowych Zawodów Szybowcowych w Suwałkach w 2006 roku.

Opis:
In this paper, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis of a two-dimensional two- -bucket Savonius rotor, using ANSYS Fluent solver, is presented. Computational methods of fluid dynamics are used to estimate the aerodynamic forces acting on the rotor, the torque and the power extracted by the Savonius rotor. In addition, an analysis of the results for different turbulence models is performed. Numerical investigations are compared with the experiment of the Sandia National Laboratories.

W artykule omówiono charakterystykę transportową miasta Zamość. Dokonano porównania kształtu sieci miejskiej tego miasta na przestrzeni drugiej dekady XXI wieku. Uwzględniono kształt sieci transportu zbiorowego w latach 2010, 2014 oraz 2018. Opisano zasadę tworzenia sieci komunikacji wg H. Becka oraz zaproponowano nowy schemat sieci komunikacyjnej dla miasta Zamość.
The article discusses the transport characteristics of the city of Zamość. The shape of the city's urban network was compared in the second decade of the 21st century. To preparing this description has been taken the shape of the mass transport network in 2010, 2014 and 2018. This article describes rules of creating a communication network according to H. Beck and was proposed new communication network for the city of Zamość.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań odporności korozyjnej powłok wielowarstwowych Cr/CrN. Powłoki wielowarstwowe Cr/CrN o różnym stosunku grubości Cr do CrN (od 0,2 do 1,0) osadzone metodą łukowo-próżniową na stali W302 poddano elektrochemicznym badaniom korozyjnym w 0,5 molowym roztworze NaCl. Przeprowadzono badania stałoprądowe a także elektrochemiczną spektroskopię impedancyjną. Wykorzystując wyniki badań elektrochemicznych wyliczono porowatość badanych powłok oraz wyznaczono obwody zastępcze. Wykazano brak zależności odporności korozyjnej badanych powłok wielowarstwowych od stosunku grubości warstw Cr/CrN.
The article presents the results of corrosion resistance of multilayer Cr/CrN. Multiple coatings of Cr/CrN with different thickness ratio of Cr to CrN (from 0,2 to 1,0), deposition by arc-vacuum method on W302 steel were investigated by electrochemical corrosive test in 0,5 molar NaCl solution. DC studies were performed as well as electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The results of performed electrochemical studies were used to calculate the porosity of investigated coatings and to determine equivalent circuits. Consequently the study showed no connection between corrosion resistance of multilayer coatings and the ratio of the thickness of Cr/CrN layers.

The two-dimensional contact problem of elasticity connected with an indentation of a rigid cylinder in an elastic semi-space covered by an elastic layer is considered. The detailed analysis of the stress distribution produced by contact pressures and tangential forces is presented. The obtained results for stresses are compared with ones obtained within the framework of theory of elasticity for a half-space loaded by the Hertz pressure.
Rozpatrzono dwuwymiarowe zagadnienie kontaktowe teorii sprężystości dotyczące wciskania nieodkształcalnego walca w półprzestrzeń sprężystą pokrytą sprężystą warstwą. Przeprowadzono szczegółową analizę rozkładu naprężeń wywołanego naciskami kontaktowymi i powiązanymi z nimi siłami tarcia. Otrzymane wyniki porównano z wynikami, które otrzymuje się w zagadnieniu teorii sprężystości dotyczącym obciążenia powierzchni rozpatrywanej półprzestrzeni niejednorodnej naciskami Hertza.

Opis:
Small-scale vertical-axis wind turbines can be used as a source of electricity in rural and urban environments. According to the authors’ knowledge, there are no validated simplified aerodynamic models of these wind turbines, therefore the use of more advanced techniques, such as for example the computational methods for fluid dynamics is justified. The paper contains performance analysis of the small-scale vertical-axis wind turbine with a large solidity. The averaged velocity field and the averaged static pressure distribution around the rotor have been also analyzed. All numerical results presented in this paper are obtained using the SST k- ω turbulence model. Computed power coefficients are in good agreement with the experimental results. A small change in the tip speed ratio significantly affects the velocity field. Obtained velocity fields can be further used as a base for simplified aerodynamic methods.

The paper presents the design of a manipulator for servicing the elements of water and sewage infrastructure, in particular for installation and dismantling of pressure transducers without the need for earthmoving. To build this device the resilient elements, cold shaped, responsible for centering the manipulator in the technical tube were used. In their construction a method was applied of estimating the value of residual stresses in the cold shaped material, based on measurements of instrumental hardness. The experimental verification of numerical simulation of instrumental hardness measurements of flat springs made of 1.1274 steel is described.

Rozpatrzono wybrane zagadnienia kontaktowe teorii sprężystości dotyczące wciskania nieodkształcalnego stempla w półprzestrzeń niejednorodną. Rozpatrywana półprzestrzeń składa się z półprzestrzeni jednorodnej oraz pakietu n izotropowych jednorodnych warstw. Algorytm rozwiązywania, oparty na wykorzystaniu przekształceń całkowych, zweryfikowano, modelując ośrodki warstwowe o strukturze periodycznej oraz warstwy, których moduł Younga zmienia się wzdłuż grubości według zależności wykładniczej.
Selected issues of contact theory of elasticity for pressing the rigid punch in non-homogeneous half-space are considered. Half-space consists of homogeneous half-space and a package of n isotropic homogeneous layers. Algorithm of calculation was based on integral transformation and was verified by modeling the layered bodies by periodic layers or layers, which the Young’s module is changed along the thickness of the layer with the exponential dependence.

The paper deals with a two-dimensional problem of an elastic non-homogeneous half-space loaded on its boundary. The body is compared of a non-homogeneous layer and a homogeneous half-space. The layer with changing material properties is described by a finite number of homogeneous layers.

The determination of the height in the vertical reference frame in force in Poland is based both on national regulations (Council of Ministers Regulation, 2012) and on the resolution adopted by the EUREF subcommittee in Tromsø (Resolution No. 5, EUREF Symposium, 2000). Currently, the PL-KRON86-NH vertical reference frame is in use in Poland – a normal height system referred to a quasi-geoid of the average level of the Baltic Sea determined by the zero level of the mareograph in Kronstadt. According to the Regulation, by the end of 2019, Poland will adopt the PL-EVRF2007-NH vertical reference frame, i.e. a normal height system referred to the zero level of the mareograph in Amsterdam. The authors present a method of determining normal heights of seabed referred to the zero level of the mareograph in Amsterdam for coastal areas of the Baltic Sea. This method uses GNSS measurements, the EGM 2008 model and depth measuring methods typical for underwater mining.

Numerical results are presented for aerodynamic unsteady and steady airfoil characteristics of the NACA 0018 airfoil of a two-dimensional vertical-axis wind turbine. A geometrical model of the Darrieus-type wind turbine and the rotor operating parameters used for numerical simulation are taken from the literature. Airfoil characteristics are investigated using the same mesh distribution around the airfoil edges and two turbulence models: the RNG k-ε and the SST Transition. Computed results for the SST Transition model are in good agreement with the experiment, especially for static airfoil characteristics.
