Opis:
Photovoltaic (PV) systems form two groups: grid-connected ones and stand-alone ones. The first group can be divided into: centralized systems with large power (PV farms), and decentralized systems with low-power (especially prosumer ones). The second group includes systems with electric buffer sources (especially with electrochemical batteries), and those without electric buffer sources (possibly with non-electric buffer sources). Due to significant decline in price of PV modules, both of these groups are becoming increasingly common in Poland, especially grid-connected ones. Additional factor for prosumer systems is economic and legal support in a form of exemption from fees for connection to grid, lack of additional required licenses for such connection, and possible support in a form of guaranteed sale prices to grid (feed-in tariffs) of electrical energy generated in system. However, in case of systems not covered by economic benefits, increasing, or even ensuring, their cost-effectiveness, requires the number of ventures regarding areas of proper installation and operation rules of PV generator from installer/user/owner of system, as well as selection of suitable tariff and rational restructuring of energy demands. Detailed analysis and conclusions of these ventures, especially for prosumer systems, is discussed in paper.

In order to improve the working stability of distributed marine green energy resources grid-connected system, we need the big data information mining and fusion processing of grid-connected system and the information integration and recognition of distributed marine green energy grid-connected system based on big data analysis method, and improve the output performance of energy grid-connected system. This paper proposed a big data analysis method of distributed marine green energy resources grid-connected system based on closed-loop information fusion and auto correlation characteristic information mining. This method realized the big data closed-loop operation and maintenance management of grid-connected system, and built the big data information collection model of marine green energy resources grid-connected system, and reconstructs the feature space of the collected big data, and constructed the characteristic equation of fuzzy data closed-loop operation and maintenance management in convex spaces, and used the adaptive feature fusion method to achieve the auto correlation characteristics mining of big data operation and maintenance information, and improved the ability of information scheduling and information mining of distributed marine green energy resources grid-connected system. Simulation results show that using this method for the big data analysis of distributed marine green energy resources grid-connected system and using the multidimensional analysis technology of big data can improve the ability of information scheduling and information mining of distributed marine green energy resources grid-connected system, realizing the information optimization scheduling of grid-connected system. The output performance of grid connected system has been improved.

Opis:
The aim of this paper is to present a one-year performance analysis of four grid-connected PV systems installed at Ghardaia city in Algeria’s Sahara. The grid-connected PV systems are based on four different PV module technologies which are: monocrystalline silicon (m-Si), multi-crystalline silicon (mc-Si), cadmium telluride (Cd-Te) and amorphous (a-Si) PV module technologies. The PV systems based on the thin film technologies have their performance ratio better throughout the year when the performance ratio of the mc-Si technology is better in the winter season. The a-Si PV system has its performance ratio about 6.13 % more better than mc-Si and 8.90 % better than m-Si. The AC energy produced with the a-Si PV system is 13.32 % more than what the mc-Si system produces. It was found that the a-Si PV system performs better than the other technologies under the Saharan climate conditions of Ghardaia city. The energy payback time (EPBT) and greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions of the different PV systems were analyzed. The EPBT and GHG emissions per year, vary from a minimum value of 2.8 years to a maximum value of 5.73 years and from 13.24 tons to 32.03 tons of CO2/kWh for CdTe and m-Si respectively. The CdTe PV system performs better in terms of EPBT and GHG emissions compared to the other technologies (m-Si, mc-Si and a-Si) due to its low life cycle energy requirement.

Opis:
In PV grid connected power conditioners, usually both stepping-up the PV array voltage, and stepping-down the dc bus voltage for injection of a sinusoidal current to the grid is required. In this paper the design procedure of Z-source converter as a single phase PV grid connected transformer-less inverter is presented. The converter has one switch less than the conventional two stage power conditioner, which leads to reduction of cost. An optimum modulation pattern for the switches is proposed, and the low frequency ripple of the converter is modeled. The design of the converter is verified by simulation.

Opis:
This paper presents a system that provides photovoltaic generation as well as the functions of a unified power quality conditioner. The system can be controlled for current harmonics and reactive power compensation simultaneously by using a converter operating as active shunt filter. The other converter is used as active series filter and it compensates voltage harmonics or voltage sags and swells. Using only an inverter in photovoltaic energy conversion process, the system presents increased efficiency when compared to the conventional systems. The synchronous reference frame method is used to control the three-phase converters. Simulation results demonstrate the good performance of the proposed configuration. Experimental results corresponding to the operation of the series filter as voltage sag compensator are presented.

Opis:
The paper presents a linear-quadratic current controller with damped oscillatory terms designed for three-phase grid-tie voltage source converters used in SMES systems and operated under distorted grid voltage conditions. Special emphasis is placed on a synthesis of an anti-windup mechanism to prevent wind-up derived from the oscillatory terms by the use of a new active damping loop based on a simple moving average method. As a consequence, the current feedback gain may be increased without unwanted overshoot and overruns, and performance of the system can be improved.

Opis:
The transformer-less grid connected inverters are gaining more popularity due to their high efficiency, very low ground leakage current and economic feasibility especially in photovoltaic systems. The major issue which surfaces these systems is that of common mode leakage current which arises due to the absence of an electrical transformer connected between the inverter and the utility grid. Several topologies have evolved to reduce the impact of common mode leakage current and a majority of them have succeeded in eliminating the impacts and have well kept them within the limits of grid standards. This paper compares and analyses the impact of the common mode leakage current for four popular inverter configurations through simulation of the topologies such as H5, H6, HERIC and FBZVR inverters.
