    The article focuses on the analysis of metaphor as a way of creating terms in a biological terminology. Тhe role of the metaphor in creation the scientifi c picture of the world of the Ukrainian and Polish languages has been described. It has been found out which associations became the basis of a metaphorical transfer.

    Opis:
    The article deals with the linguocultural potential of associative fields of stimuli divchyna, divchynka, divcha, divulya, divaha, that are important ethnocultural signs for Ukrainians. As a result of the free‑association experiment, it has been established that the reactions obtained can be distributed to three groups: universal (available in each stimulus), frequency reaction (occur as answers to three or more stimuli) and unique (are relevant for one or two stimuli). It was discovered that among the universal and frequency reactions there predominates the stereotypical characteristics of the object that reflect the positive, idealized qualities of a young woman and that these are basic components of the Ukrainian language picture of the world. It has been found that unique reactions arise as a result of the actualization of the nucleus of the objective‑conceptual semantics of the word, behind which stands a denotation, and that this may also be the result of stylistic stimulus colour. The linguistic‑cultural analysis of reactions confirmed the statement on the multidimensionality of human memory, which certifies the existence of words‑stimuli simultaneously in three planes – verbal, subject, and actional. The study has demonstrated that the word in this man‑centric dimension has a marked information potential, and constitutes a sign of folk culture, which retains its own linguistic, linguocultural, and encyclopaedic information.

    In conditions of construction and functioning of innovative model of economy, of a necessity of creation and introduction of new technics and advanced technologies in manufacture the right to results of scientific and technical creativity acquires importance. The vast majority of scientific works of authors devoted to an analysis of the legal protection of industrial property, concerns only certain aspects of problematic issues of legal regulation of relations arising in the protection of industrial designs in the conditions of European integration of Ukraine. Therefore, there is a need for theoretical research on issues related to the improvement of Ukrainian legislation in this area to the legislation of the European Union. The article considers the problems of bringing the institute of industrial designs of Ukraine in line with the legislation of the European Union. The ways of improvement of the legislation of Ukraine in the field of protection of the rights to industrial designs to the European norms are offered. The concept of „industrial design” in the relevant national legislation has been improved. Emphasis is placed on the expediency of expanding the range of products, an appearance of which may receive legal protection in Ukraine as industrial designs. It is proposed to harmonize the relevant national legislation with the Civil Code of Ukraine on the validity of intellectual property rights to registered and unregistered industrial designs. It is concluded that Ukraine’s aspiration for European integration presupposes taking into account the positive experience of the relevant legislation of the European Union member states. Since measures aimed at introducing effective mechanisms for the protection of rights to industrial property objects are determined by the course of Ukraine’s accession to the European Union, therefore they are determined by the need to comply with European norms for such protection. However, it is emphasized that it is important not just to copy certain approaches to the protection of industrial property rights, which are enshrined in European Union law, but a systematic scientific approach to internal coherence and consideration of all elements of positive national law. The strength of scientific and technical, economic and legal development of Ukraine and the formation of an effective innovative model of the national economy depends on this.
    В умовах побудови й функціонування інноваційної моделі економіки, необхідності створення і впровадження нової техніки та передових технологій у виробництво важливого значення набуває право на результати науково-технічної творчости. Переважна більшість наукових праць, присвячених аналізові правової охорони об’єктів промислової власности, стосується лише окремих аспектів проблемних питань правового регулювання відносин щодо охорони промислових зразків в умовах європейської інтеграції України. Тому існує необхідність теоретичного дослідження питань, пов’язаних з вдосконаленням законодавства України в цій сфері, його адаптації до законодавства Європейського Союзу. У статті розглянуто проблеми приведення інституту промислових зразків України у відповідність до законодавства Європейського Союзу. Запропоновано шляхи вдосконалення законодавства України у сфері охорони прав на промислові зразки, його адаптації до європейських норм. Запропоновано вдосконалений варіант визначення терміна «промисловий зразок» у профільному національному законодавстві. Наголошено на доцільності розширити коло виробів, зовнішній вигляд яких може отримати в Україні правову охорону як промисловий зразок. Констатовано потребу узгодити профільне національне законодавство з Цивільним кодексом України щодо терміну чинності майнових прав інтелектуальної власності на зареєстровані та незареєстровані промислові зразки. Зроблено висновок, що прагнення України до європейської інтеграції зумовлює врахування позитивного досвіду відповідного законодавства країн-членів Європейського Союзу. Заходи, спрямовані на запровадження ефективних механізмів охорони прав на об’єкти промислової власности, визначаються курсом приєднання України до Європейського Союзу, а відтак необхідністю дотримання європейських норм щодо такої охорони. Але наголошено на тому, що важливе не просто копіювання тих чи тих підходів до охорони прав на об’єкти промислової власности, які проведено в законодавстві Європейського Союзу, а системний науковий підхід до внутрішньої узгоджености та врахування всіх елементів позитивного національного права. Від цього залежить міцність науково-технічного, економіко-правового розвитку України та формування ефективної інноваційної моделі національної економіки.

    The article briefly reviews the representatives of the Ukrainian community in Poland with an emphasis on the post-war period, when many Ukrainians ended up in a neighboring state due to the Second World War, and especially due to the deportation of a part of Ukrainians from their ethnic lands caused by the Operation Vistula. The author shows, Ukrainians in Poland did not undergo complete assimilation, on the contrary, Ukrainians have preserved their national identity. Figures who, thanks to their actions and works, contributed to the unification of Ukrainians, contributed to the unification of Ukrainians, the preservation of the Ukrainian language, education, culture, and traditions, can be considered prominent representatives of the Ukrainian people, and therefore should be the focus of attention of specialists in encyclopedia practice and biography studies. The state of academic studies of Ukrainian figures in Poland is outlined as well. The article content is presented by the chronological principle. The author also resorts to grouping personalities according to their social and political activities, belonging to this or that society or other Ukrainian minority groups.

    Opis:
    The article is devoted to searching of the trends of research of national agricultural science in conditions of European integration processes. Authors attract our attention to the fact that the benefits of liberalization of the external sector can be entirely felt only in condition of painstaking, deliberate, systematic and complex preparatory work. Authors emphasize that in a complex geopolitical challenges the main goal of Ukrainian science in general and scientists of Uman National University of Horticulture in particular is to conduct a thorough analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the existing experience of international integration, to identify strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats to the sustainable development of the national agrifood system, and this background will help to create a reliable theoretical and methodological basis for management decisions related to the European integration processes.
    Статья посвящена поиску направлений исследований отечественной аграрной науки в условиях интеграционных процессов. Обращается внимание на то, что преимущества от либерализации внешнего сектора экономики в полной мере можно ощутить только при условии проведения кропотливой, целенаправленной, системной и комплексной подготовительной работы. Отмечается, что в условиях сложных геополитических вызовов роль украинской науки в целом и ученых Уманского НУС в частности заключается в проведении тщательного анализа преимуществ и недостатков существующего опыта международной интеграции, идентификации сильных и слабых сторон, возможностей и угроз устойчивому развитию национальной агропродовольственной системы, и на этой основе создания надежной теоретико-методологической базы для принятия управленческих решений, связанных с евроинтеграционными процессами.

    Opis:
    Цель исследования заключается в совершенствовании управления инновационным потенциалом в сфере жилищно-коммунального хозяйства (ЖКХ) в условиях становления децентрализации регионов и формирования мер обеспечения проведения реформ в этой области. Теоретическая и методологическая основа исследования – научные труды и разработки отечественных и зарубежных авторов; Общегосударственная программа реформирования ЖКХ. Для достижения определенной цели применены общенаучные и сравнительно-аналитические методы. Исследована необходимость управления инновационным потенциалом в условиях роста конкуренции для отечественных производителей в стремлении их к интеграции в мировое экономическое пространство. Проанализировано и выявлено неудовлетворительное технико-технологическое и финансовое состояние ЖКХ в регионах. Обосновано формирования мероприятий выполнения Общегосударственной программы реформирования и развития ЖКХ. На пути активизации привлечения иностранных инвестиций возникали определенные препятствия, связанные с чрезмерной централизацией финансовых ресурсов и недостаточностью их в рамках экономической свободы регионов. Акцентировано внимание на том, что инновационная деятельность в Украине еще находится на низком уровне, это объясняется недостаточностью финансирования научной деятельности (прикладных исследований, разработок), а также недостаточностью стимулов для производства инновационной деятельности. Неблагоприятная макроэкономическая ситуация и шаги правительства по отвлечению оборотных средств, увеличение налоговой нагрузки приводит к снижению инновационной активности предприятий. К приоритетным отраслям экономики государства, которые нуждаются в стимулировании инвестиционно-инновационной деятельности, относится также ЖКХ, которое остается одной из наиболее технически отсталой отраслью национальной экономики со многими проблемами. Современное состояние технологической инфраструктуры не соответствует требованиям рыночной экономики. Указано на качественный анализ технологической отсталости состояния ЖКХ в Украине ведущими зарубежными специалистами, в частности из фонда им. Фридриха Эберта. Научная новизна исследования основывается в необходимости совершенствования управления инновационным потенциалом и в разработке предложений последовательного реформирования в сфере ЖКХ. Практическое значение работы состоит в предоставлении жителям жилого фонда  рекомендаций касательно использования преимуществ создания ОСМД. Перспектива дальнейших исследований – анализ деятельности действующих ОСМД в регионах и разработка предложений по устранению недостатков их деятельности.     The aim of the research is to improve the management of innovative potential in the field of Housing and Communal Services (HCS) under conditions of establishment of decentralization of the regions and the formation of measures to provide reforms in this area. Theoretical and methodological basis of the research is the scientific papers and designs of local and foreign authors; the State program of reforming HCS. To achieve the set purpose, we applied general scientific, as well as comparative and analytical methods. The need to manage the innovative potential under conditions of growing competition among national manufacturers in their pursuit of integration into the world economic space was researched. The performed analysis found technical–technological and financial state of HCS in the regions unsatisfactory. Formation of measures to implement the State program of reforming and development of HCS was substantiated. It was demonstrated that the way to engage foreign investments stumbled into certain obstacles, related to the excessive centralization of financial resources and their insufficiency for economic freedom of the regions. Special attention is paid to the fact that innovation activity in Ukraine has low level of development that can be explained by insufficiency of financing of scientific activities (applied research, designs), as well as the lack of incentives for its implementation. Unfavorable macroeconomic situation and the activities of the government bodies to withdraw working capital, increasing taxation burden lead to decrease in innovation activity of enterprises. It was demonstrated that the priority fields of the economy of the state, which need stimulation of investment and innovation, also include HCS, which remains one of the most technically backward industries of the national economy. It was proven that the current state of technological infrastructure did not meet the requirements of a market-driven economy. The qualitative analysis of technological backwardness of HCS in Ukraine by the leading foreign specialists was cited, in particular by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the need to improve the management of innovative potential and to develop proposals of consistent reforms in the area of HCS. Practical significance of the work is to provide recommendations to the urban residents regarding the implementation of the advantages of setting up ACMAB. The prospect of further research is the analysis of existing ACMAB in the regions and preparation of proposals for elimination of the shortcomings in their activity.
    Мета дослідження полягає в удосконаленні керування інноваційним потенціалом у сфері житлово-комунального господарства (ЖКГ) в умовах становлення децентралізації регіонів і формування заходів забезпечення проведення реформ в цій галузі. Теоретична та методологічна основа дослідження – наукові праці й розробки вітчизняних і зарубіжних авторів; Загальнодержавна програма реформування ЖКГ. Для досягнення визначеної мети застосовано загальнонаукові та порівняльно-аналітичні методи. Досліджено необхідність керування інноваційним потенціалом в умовах зростання конкуренції серед вітчизняних виробників у їх прагненні  до інтеграції у світовий економічний простір. Проаналізовано та виявлено незадовільний техніко-технологічний і фінансовий стан ЖКГ у регіонах. Обґрунтовано формування заходів виконання Загальнодержавної програми реформування і розвитку ЖКГ. Продемонстровано, що на шляху активізації залучення іноземних інвестицій виникали певні перешкоди, пов’язані з надмірною централізацією фінансових ресурсів і їх недостатністю для економічної свободи регіонів. Акцентовано увагу на тому, що інноваційна діяльність в Україні має низький рівень розвитку, що можна пояснити недостатністю фінансування наукової діяльності (прикладних досліджень, розробок), а також недостатністю стимулів для її провадження. Несприятлива макроекономічна ситуація та заходи урядовців із вилучення обігових коштів, збільшення податкового навантаження призводять до зниження інноваційної активності підприємств. Продемонстровано, що до пріоритетних галузей економіки держави, які потребують стимулювання інвестиційно-інноваційної діяльності, належить також ЖКГ, що залишається однією з найбільш технічно відсталою галуззю національної економіки. Доведено, що сучасний стан технологічної інфраструктури не відповідає вимогам ринкової економіки. Указано на якісний аналіз технологічної відсталості ЖКГ в Україні провідними зарубіжними фахівцями, зокрема з фонду ім. Фрідріха Еберта. Наукова новизна дослідження полягає в необхідності удосконалення керування інноваційним потенціалом і в розробці пропозицій послідовного реформування у сфері ЖКГ. Практичне значення роботи – надання рекомендацій мешканцям житлового фонду стосовно використання переваг створення ОСББ. Перспектива подальших досліджень – аналіз діяльності діючих ОСББ у регіонах і розробка пропозицій щодо усунення недоліків їх діяльності.
