A material basis for the conducted considerations are the texts of the selected legal acts. The aim is to diagnose the principle causes favouring the deviations from the binding language norms in such texts. Thus, the analyses try to demonstrate that such language flaws as ellipticalness of utterances, an excessive number of lexical repetitions or the formation of non-standard syntactical collocations need not be the token of linguistic imperfection of a legal text (its incorrectness), but the result of complex legislative procedures visible in the processes of terminologization, synonymy, message economy or message openness. Due to this, the opinions about linguistic correctness of legal texts are not always evident and determining the boundaries of error is not always explicit.

Fossilization as a unique feature of interlanguage systems manifests itself in the cessation of the development of certain linguistic phenomena that remain unchanged in relation to the target language. Although the vast majority of students’ errors evolve towards normal structures and then disappear, some of them stabilize permanently. The purpose of this paper is to try to find the answer to the question: are there any features of persistent fossilization of lexical-grammatical structures in the interlanguage of Polish students learning English? The research material was provided by a study conducted on a group of 15 secondary school students in the years 2013–2016. The four-year study consisted of a systematic analysis of language errors that kept appearing in the students’ written tasks, regardless of the type and quantity of teaching material provided, the length of the study period, the age of the students and the exposure to a variety of teaching techniques. The author attempts to present the phenomenon of fossilization and its main psycholinguistic factors.

W artykule przedstawione zostało zagadnienie błędu w sensie ogólnym z punktu widzenia filozofii, psychologii, logiki, psycholingwistyki i przede wszystkim językoznawstwa. Największy nacisk położono na błędy popełniane przez uczących się języka obcego. Pod uwagę wzięte zostały teksty analizujące błędy Polaków uczących się języków obcych oraz cudzoziemców uczących się polskiego. Autorki uwzględniają normę językową obowiązującą rodzimych użytkowników języka i tak zwaną normę glottodydaktyczną. Błąd glottodydaktyczny i norma glottodydaktyczna są stosunkowo prostymi konstruktami teoretycznymi, jednakże ich zastosowanie w praktyce napotyka na liczne trudności. Autorki rezygnują ze stosowania terminu błąd glottodydaktyczny, pozostając przy błędzie językowym. W pracy zamieszczono dwie tabele przedstawiające w przejrzysty sposób typologie błędów językowych popełnianych przez cudzoziemców w języku obcym. Tabele pokazują, jak trudne jest opracowanie takiej typologii. Pracę kończą wnioski i postulaty badawcze.
This paper discusses the issue of error in a general sense from the perspective of philosophy, psychology, logic, psycholinguistics and above all, linguistics. The authors place the emphasis on errors made by students learning a foreign language. They take into account works analyzing both mistakes of Polish learners of foreign languages and foreigners learning Polish. The authors take into consideration the standard language obligatory for native speakers and norms in language learning/language teaching. Learners’ error and language learning/language teaching norms are relatively simple theoretical constructs, however, their practical application encounters many difficulties. The authors reject the use of the term “learners’ error”, and simply decide to use the term “language error”. The paper contains two tables, which plainly show typologies of language errors made by students in a foreign language. The tables present difficulties related to the development of such typology. The article ends with conclusions and research postulates.

Autorka analizuje błędy językowe w pracach studentów specjalizacji glottodydaktycznej studiujących na Uniwersytecie Łódzkim. Przedstawia klasyfikację błędów z podziałem na wewnątrz- i zewnątrzjęzykowe oraz podaje liczne przykłady. Ilustrują one niepokojące zjawisko niedostatecznej kompetencji przyszłych lektorów JPJO w rodzimym języku, zarówno wśród studentów filologii polskiej (pierwszego i drugiego stopnia), jak i filologii obcych oraz ukazują pilną potrzebę podjęcia działań mających na celu przeciwdziałanie temu zjawisku.
The author analyses language errors found in texts written by the University of Lodz students preparing to work as teachers of Polish as a foreign language. She presents a classification of these errors and numerous examples. They illustrate the alarming phenomenon that the future teachers of Polish as a foreign language do not possess sufficient competence in their own native language (which is true for both students of Polish philology at the B.A. and M.A. level and foreign philologies). Therefore, there exists an urgent need to take action against this worrying tendency.

In this paper, the author discusses language interference, focusing not only on the categorisation of particular errors and their character but also on the general issue of how to eliminate interferences in oral as well as written utterances of the young students from Eastern Europe who are just starting to learn Polish as a foreign language. The paper is divided into two parts. The first part presents typical errors made by the Eastern European students learning Polish as a foreign language. In the second part, the author presents the example tasks which – by creating an area for language interferences – allow to consolidate those rules of the Polish language, with which the students from Eastern Europe have most problems

This article concerns the concept of language error in linguistics and in glottodidactics. The starting point is that the approach to language errors in the first language teaching differs from the one prevalent in glottodidactics. Apart from the linguistic norm, glottodidactics also refers to the changing glottodidactic norm, which incorporates a didactic perspective, i.a. proficiency level. Next, three typologies of errors are discussed: one present in Polish-language culture, one classifying errors in the Polish language made by secondary school students, and one for errors in the Polish language made by foreigners. Finally, lexical errors in the Polish language made by native speakers are compared with those made in Polish as a foreign language.
Artykuł dotyczy lingwistycznego i glottodydaktycznego ujęcia błędu językowego. Punktem wyjścia jest stwierdzenie, że stosunek do błędu językowego w nauczaniu języka ojczystego jest inny od tego obecnego w glottodydaktyce. W glottodydaktyce obok normy lingwistycznej jest mowa o zmieniającej się normie glottodydaktycznej, która uwzględnia dydaktyczny punkt widzenia, np. poziom zaawansowania. Następnie zostają przedstawione typologie błędów – jedna obecna w kulturze języka polskiego, jedna klasyfikująca błędy popełniane w języku polskim przez uczniów liceum oraz jedna dotycząca błędów cudzoziemców w języku polskim. Na koniec dokonano zestawienia błędów leksykalnych popełnianych w języku polskim przez rodzimych użytkowników języka z błędami popełnianymi w języku polskim jako obcym.

Artykuł przedstawia – na tle literatury przedmiotu – wybrane zagadnienia związane z nauczaniem kategorii polskiego rodzaju gramatycznego w środowisku ukraińskojęzycznym. Nowością w analizach jest chęć konsekwentnego dostrzegania dwu możliwości kwalifikacji i oceny niektórych błędów rodzaju: z „wewnętrznej” perspektywy systemu języka polskiego, ale też z perspektywy „zewnętrznej” – języka pierwszego osoby popełniającej błąd i pragmatycznego kontekstu wypowiedzi. Uwzględnienie stanowiska drugiego, częściowo psycholingwistycznego, daje możliwość rozważenia dopuszczenia: a) niektórych alternatywnych do istniejących rozwiązań w typologiach błędów w polszczyźnie Ukraińców i innych osób ze Wschodu, b) zróżnicowanej oceny błędów w zakresie rodzaju, popełnianych w zależności od wpływu czynników takich jak brak kompetencji oraz innych, psychofizycznych. Zwraca się też uwagę na potrzebę nauczania polonistów zagranicznych w sposób umożliwiający skuteczne zastosowanie przez nich teorii rodzaju w praktyce językowej oraz przyszłej działalności glottodydaktycznej.
The author of the article presents – having considered the literature on the subject– selected issues of teaching the category of the Polish grammatical gender in Ukrainian-speaking environment. A novelty of the analysis is to perceive consistently two possibilities of qualification and assessment of some types of errors: from the „internal” perspective of the Polish language system and from the „external” perspective – the first language of a person making mistake and the entire pragmatic areola of the expression. Taking into account the second, partly psycholinguistic position, gives an opportunity to admit: a) some alternative solutions to existing ones in error typologies in the Polish language of Ukrainians and other Polish speakers coming from the East, b) varied assessment of grammatical gender errors, made depending on the influence of such factors as lack of the competence as well as other psychophysical ones. Attention is also paid to the necessity of teaching foreign students of Polish studies in a way that enables them to apply effectively the theory of gender in linguistic practice and future glottodidactic activities.

The aim of the article is to draw attention to the problems of error analysis in terms of its suitability for glottodidactics. Error analysis from a conventional perspective consists of successive stages of error identification, description, explication and evaluation. Carrying out these activities in the procedural order enables implementation of the last phase of analysis – error therapy, which is also its goal. In a broader perspective, error prevention is also taken into account. However, it turns out that in pedagogical practice proper conduct of the processes of identifying, describing, and classifying errors may be complicated. The article briefly presents the technique of error analysis in foreign language teaching in theoretical terms and also shows problematic examples taken from research material in the form of written tasks in English of Polish secondary school students. A few reflections have been formulated to help teachers understand processes of linguistic difficulties and take appropriate decisions concerning the methodology of prevention and treatment of language errors.

The problems concerning teaching a culture of Polish language are analysed in the article, along with description of the ambiguity of the term ‘culture of language’ itself. Knowledge of foreign languages constitutes one of the key competencies amongst graduates of the Bachelor of Economics. In the era of globalisation, the importance of a high level of proficiency in foreign languages has become self-evident. The empirical part of this article is devoted to the analysis of the most common language mistakes committed by first-year students of the B1 group of Marketing and Management at the University of Economics in Krakow. A portion of the final exams submitted by a group of 13 students has been analyzed. The study focuses on the identification and classification of errors and presents the frequency distribution, as percentages, of errors in individual categories. The author's intention is not to indicate the causes of errors and their assessment, but to present the problems faced by students of the Bachelor of Economics, who learn ‘business language’, which a specialism within the German language studies. The results of the study might act as a starting point for the development of appropriate educational materials to support the process of teaching a wide variety of German language courses.

It is an analysis of the grounds of a certain court order. The text contains numerous linguistic deficiencies. Among them are: typing errors, spelling mistakes, punctuation, flexographic, lexical and syntactical errors. Undeniably they harm the prestige of the office which signed the document and make it more difficult to interpret the decisions of such an office. Albeit the result of the analysis of one legal writing does not entitle to making generalizations, however it encourages linguists to become interested in this category of speech.

This article considers the issue of language transfer in translation. External interference is one of the most common reasons behind the lack of equivalence between the source text and the target text. Negative transfer leads to the lack of linguistic correctness as well as to modifying or altering the meaning of the translated text. In the didactics of translation, the rationale behind identifying and analysing linguistic errors is to develop and improve translation skills. The issue in focus is presented based on translations of legal texts in the Polish–Russian language pair.
W tekście przedstawiono zagadnienia transferu językowego w przekładzie. Interferencja zewnętrzna uważana jest za jedną z podstawowych przyczyn zakłócenia ekwiwalencji między tekstem źródłowym a docelowym tłumaczenia. Transfer negatywny przyczynia się do braku poprawności językowej, modyfikacji czy zmiany sensu w przetłumaczonym tekście. W dydaktyce przekładu identyfikacja i analiza błędów służą wyrobieniu i doskonaleniu umiejętności translatorskich. Temat zaprezentowano na materiale tłumaczeń prawniczych w parze językowej polski–rosyjski.

Autorka podaje przykłady błędów popełnionych w pracach pisemnych Niemców uczących się polskiego jako obcego.
The starting point of the paper is the idea that in the process of foreign language learning, there can occur not only language interference but also cultural interference. The latter can be defined as transferring the elements of behaviors and attitudes from the native culture into the utterances in a foreign language. The author gives examples of errors made in texts written by German learners of Polish.

Opis:
Celem niniejszego artykułu jest wskazanie najczęstszych błędów w umowach  międzynarodowych. Podstawę materiałową stanowią umowy podpisane pomiędzy Rzeczypospolitą Polską a Federacją Rosyjską. Choć w umowach międzypaństwowych błędy i pomyłki są niedopuszczalne, to występują w analizowanym materiale. Przyczyny powstawania błędów są przeważnie pozajęzykowe – psychologiczne lub fizjologiczne. Jednak czasem duża liczba błędów może świadczyć o niedostatecznej znajomości języka, braku umiejętności redagowania tekstów. W analizowanych tekstach zdarzają się pominięcia fragmentów lub nadmiar informacji, różnego typu błędy w nazwach umów międzynarodowych, niekonsekwentne użycie terminów w obrębie tego samego dokumentu, błędy ortograficzne. Część błędów występuje w wyrazach lub połączeniach wyrazowych o frekwencji względnie wysokiej. Wyodrębnione problemy językowe warto uwzględnić w kursach doskonalenia zawodowego, przy opracowywaniu programów oraz doborze materiałów dydaktycznych. Ponadto ważne jest krytyczne podejście do źródeł leksykograficznych i do własnych kompetencji.
The aim of this paper is to demonstrate the most frequent errors and mistakes in official international documents. The analysis is based on a collection of agreements between the Republic of Poland and Russian Federation. Errors and mistakes in diplomatic agreements are not acceptable, however, some examples of these are presented in the analysed corpora. The underlying causes of errors are mostly of non-linguistic character – they are mainly psychological or physiological. A large number of errors may indicate low-level language skills or translator’s lack of knowledge about text editing rules. Omissions, excessive information, different kinds of errors in the titles of international agreements, inconsistent terms used within the same document or misspellings can be found in this corpora. A part of errors occurs in high-frequent words or collocations. It is suggested that these language problems are worth taking into consideration when planning vocational training courses or constructing syllabi and didactic materials. The importance of critical approach to lexicographic sources and own language skills has also been highlighted.
