    Opis:
    Recommendations made by policy makers, increasing competitive pressure and growing popularity of digital media among participants of teaching processes contribute to their increasingly extensive use at Polish universities. The fact that the teaching processes has entered the new, digital dimension reveals the need for information concerning the relevance of use of electronic media, especially from the perspective of achieving learning outcomes. Given the above, the purpose of this paper is to present results of research on opinions of both students and academics on the need and significanceof the application of digital media in the learning processes.For the purposes of the article, a quantitative research was conducted among 86 students and 66 teachers from University of Economics in Katowice. The data was collected in April 2015 using an online surveying technique and analyzed using statistical description.In the light of our results, the application of electronic media seems to not only be imposed by macro- and micro-environmental conditions, but also to be expected by the main participants of educational processes taking place at university level. The results show that both groups of respondents consider the use of digital media at least as advisable for the achievement of learning outcomes (71.8% of responses covered labels: advisable, recommended or required). However, the level of necessity is slightly higher when digital tools are used by students (80.7%) than by teachers (70.3%). In general, multimedia presentations have been identifiedas the most required form of digital media application in teaching at the university.

    Background. One of the main purposes of general education and physical education is to improve the student’s physical performance. This is done by increasing the number of motor skills and improving them, which determine the organism’s state of readiness for effective performance of various types of motor tasks. Physical fitness viewed as a combination of health-related components (testing strength, speed, aerobic capacity and muscle strength) and motor performance (testing coordination and power) provides students with a better motivation to care for their own body and health. The level of physical fitness of freshmen entering university sums up, in a way, the effectiveness of school physical education. Adolescents are developing motor skills reaching the level which determines a better or worse performance of a given physical task (e.g. Cooper test). Health and full fitness are not only essential factors of human happiness, but also a fundamental social value. These values are not given to people once and for all and their distribution is not fair, so one needs to take care of them and shape them so that they could maintain in good shape as long as possible. Material and methods. The aim of this study was to present the level of physical fitness of female and male students (total number 2098) who entered the West Pomeranian University of Szczecin in the years 2005–2011. The Cooper test was used. Results. Each year the average of the most numerous group was always below the average for the given year. Conclusions. A gradual decrease in the freshmen’ physical fitness was observed, which results from inadequate work done in secondary schools.

    The article presents the author’s own teaching method, learner as a cultural actor, used on elective courses devoted to the theatre. It discusses the ways of theatricalization of learning space, shows how to combine knowledge with the ability to self-reflection and performative interpretation texts written by students. The article highlights the role of motivational factors that allow students to be able to create a few-minute performance. In the end, the author shows that performative interpretation can also be applied for other courses, making it an effective way of producing places of "cultural reciprocity", which the M. P. Markowski describes as humanities.

    The aim of this article is to introduce essence of performance dashboards and present possibility of its usage in the field of education, with particular emphasis on the monitoring of student learning progress. Dashboard is an useful Business Intelligence tool for integration and visualization of data, often using the data warehouses. It is an interactive, intuitive, convenient and transparent graphical monitoring tool. Dashboards with its advantages can be successfully used in educational institutions such as for instance: schools, colleges, training centers etc. Dashboards are designed to support decision-making process through sharing condensed information to policy makers through the presentation of key performance indicators. Authors identified and described two main contexts of monitoring the performance of e-learning: monitoring the progress of students by teachers and self-monitoring of progress in courses by students. Authors presented several examples of dashboards that were used in the field of education. Dashboard has been presented also as an useful graphical analytical interface based on data from Learning Management Systems (LMS), which have also been briefly defined.

    The article presents changes in perception of some aspects of psychosocial school environment of students in 1990–2010 and a comparison of some indicators for Polish students and average for 34–41 countries from HBSC network (Health Behaviour in School-aged Children. A WHO Collaborative Cross-national Study). Data from the international HBSC surveys on health behaviour of school children, carried out every 4 years were analysed. The HBSC standard questionnaire was used. Representative samples consist of students aged 11, 13, 15 years. About 60% of students liked school; 14% didn’t like it at all; 37–63% felt pressured by schoolwork; 50% agreed that their classmates were kind and helpful. Analysed indicators were less positive in Poland than the average for countries in HBSC network and different trends of some indicators were found. Between 2002–2010 (after a structural reform of the education system) disadvantageous changes were evident. Students’ perception concerning different aspects of school functioning and its environment should be taken into consideration in planning educational policy.

    W artykule przedstawiam formy wykorzystania afektu w edukacji artystycznej. Doświadczenia emocjonujących spotkań z miejscami, w których powstawały ważne spektakle, gdzie tworzyli wielcy artyści i poeci, są wskazane jako punkty węzłowe wywoływania postaw afektywnych, przenoszonych na działania twórcze. Siłę sprawczą afektu demonstruję na przykładzie spotkania z miejscem kluczowym dla powstania Umarłej klasy Tadeusza Kantora. Następnie wskazuję na wykorzystanie zespołowego charakteru przeżywania emocji twórczych. Dynamika grupowego oddziaływania emocji jest pokazana na przykładzie działania Klubu Literackiego MOK w Olkuszu. Poezja i proza czytane na głos oraz odpowiednio teatralizowane umożliwiają dzielenie się doświadczeniami, tworzą afektywną przestrzeń spotkania, służą do przepracowywania osobistych traum i wytyczania nowych celów życiowych.
    The article presents the forms of using affect in artistic education. Experiences of exciting encounters with places where important performances were made, where great artists and poets created their work, are indicated as nodal points for the induction of affective attitudes, transferred to creative activities. Using as an example a meeting with a key place for the rise of Umarła klasa (the Dead Class) by Tadeusz Kantor, I demonstrate the driving force of affect. Then, I point to the team nature of experiencing creative emotions. The dynamics of group interaction of emotions can be seen in the Literary Club of MOK in Olkusz. Poetry and prose read aloud and staged properly make it possible to share experiences, create an affective space of encounter, serve to get over personal traumas and set new life goals.

    Ochronę środowiska przyrodniczego można skutecznie realizować tylko w uwrażliwionym na przyrodę i przyrodniczo wyedukowanym społeczeństwie. Edukacja prośrodowiskowa musi łączyć w sobie wszystkie elementy związane z egzystencją człowieka na Ziemi. Sztuka jako forma edukacji ekologicznej spełnia wiele ról. Oddziaływanie przez sztukę stwarza możliwości dostarczania informacji na temat problemów środowiskowych i kształtowania postawy szacunku do przyrody. Celem pracy jest zbadanie relacji, zależności i punktów styku dwóch przeciwstawnych z pozoru pojęć, jakimi są natura (przyroda) i sztuka, oraz omówienie wynikających z tych relacji zjawisk artystycznych, wpisujących się w nurt sztuki ekologicznej na gruncie polskim. Praca próbuje udowodnić, że, pomimo iż same słowa natura i kultura raczej podkreślają różnice niewspółdziałających ze sobą pojęć, a nie wzajemne zależności, to te dwie dziedziny informują się nawzajem i wpływają na siebie. Artykuł skupia się też na analizie wybranych działań artystycznych polskich artystów, którzy tworzą dzieła o charakterze ekologicznym. Praca przedstawia takich twórców sztuki ekologicznej w Polsce, jak: Jarosław Kozakiewicz, Teresa Murak i Jerzy Dmitruk. Mimo że termin sztuka ekologiczna nie jest precyzyjny i ma charakter umowny, to wyżej wymienionych artystów i dzieła sztuki ekologicznej łączy to, że wypływają one z autentycznej potrzeby ludzi i tragicznej sytuacji Ziemi. Ich celem jest głęboko ekologiczny przekaz, będący wezwaniem do działań w obronie Ziemi oraz refleksja dążącą ku zmianie stylu życia odbiorcy.
    The protection of the environment is possible only in society that is aware of the problems concerning nature and properly educated. Ecological education has to include all elements related to existence of human on the Earth. The art plays an important role in ecological education. Artistic performances can provide information concerning environmental problems and can shape respectful attitude towards nature. The aim of the paper is to investigate the relations of two apparently contradictory notions that are nature and culture and to present, derived from discussed relations, artistic activities representing ecological art (eco-art) in Poland. The paper attempts to prove that in spite of the fact that the very phrase nature and culture emphasises rather the difference of incompatible things and not the common aspects of two, natural and cultural domains interpenetrate, influence, and inform each other. Their interdisciplinary studies, owing to interdisciplinary research each domain gains in depth and interest. It concentrates as well on the analysis of the particular works of art of Polish artist creating ecological art who are Jarosław Kozakiewicz, Teresa Murak, and Jerzy Dmitruk. Despite of the fact that the term ecological art is not precise and therefore its status is not self-evident and self-apparent, the unifying factor of all activities of discussed artists and ecological artistic activities is their common inspiration. Their origin is derived from authentic need of people to prevent tragic condition of our Planet. The aim of all ecological artistic activities is the call for environmental protection and reflection that causes change of lifestyle of the recipients.

    W artykule przedstawiono przegląd polskich i zagranicznych doświadczeń z badań losów absolwentów. Zaprezentowano również charakterystykę okresu przejściowego między edukacją a pracą, w którym znajdują się absolwenci wkraczający na rynek pracy. Zdaniem autorów, specyfika aktywności ekonomicznej w tym okresie powinna zostać uwzględniona przy projektowaniu systemów monitorowania losów absolwentów. Na tym tle zaprezentowano zarys metodyki i metodologii monitorowania losów absolwentów w Uniwersytecie Ekonomicznym w Poznaniu.
    The paper presents the literature review on the research methods and methodology for investigating the labour market performance of graduates. It also outlines the characteristics of so called school-to-work transition process which concerns most of the graduates entering the labour market. The particularity of the economic activity in this period should be taken into account in designing systems investigating the labour market performance of graduates. Based on this the paper outlines the way such a survey is organised at the Poznan University of Economics.
    В статье представлен обзор польского и зарубежного опыта изучения судеб выпускников. Дана также характеристика переходного периода от учебы к работе, в котором находятся выпускники, выходящие на рынок труда. По мнению авторов, специфика экономической активности в этот период должна учитываться при проектировании систем мониторирования судеб выпускников. На этом фоне представлен очерк методики и методологи мониторирования судеб выпускников в Экономическом университете в Познани.

Niniejsze opracowanie przedstawia zarys problematyki pomiaru efektywności finansowania usług edukacyjnych (szczególnie: ze źródeł publicznych) na podstawie krytycznego przeglądu literatury oraz wyników własnych dotychczasowych analiz. Autorka prezentuje oryginalną koncepcję badań nad efektywnością finansowania edukacji (planowane kierunki, zakres, hipotezy i metody), zapowiadając jednocześnie cykl publikacji dotyczący uwarunkowań jej pomiaru.
    Due to the significance and benefits of education for individual participants and communities (both in the local and global dimension), state authorities commit themselves to full or partial public funding, which does not exclude private spending. The key issue for the economics of education is to analyse the efficiency of education funding by defining a relationship between effects and expenditures. This paper outlines the problems of measuring the efficiency of education funding (from public funds in particular) based on a critical literature review and the results of the author’s previous analysis. The author presents an original concept of research into the efficiency of education funding (intended direction, scope, hypotheses and methods), announcing a series of publications about the conditions for its measurement.

    Przedstawiony materiał jest próbą ukazania zjawiska przeobrażeń szkoły wyższej w zmieniającej się rzeczywistości społecznej. Społeczny obraz nowoczesnej uczelni mija się z brutalną rzeczywistością. Brak debaty o pryncypiach, o problemach, o degradacji środowisk akademickich powoduje zmniejszenie znaczenia wyższego wykształcenia na rynku pracy. Mało wydolny edukacyjnie kandydat na studia to kolejny problem, który nie jest zauważony przez społeczność akademicką, administrację.
    The material presented is an attempt to show the phenomenon of transition higher education in a changing social reality. The social image of modern College passes to the brutal reality. The lack of debate about core principles, about the problems of degradation of the academic results in reduction of the importance of higher education in the labour market. Little financially efficient educationally candidate for study is another issue that is not noticed by the academic administration.

    Bezpieczeństwo pożarowe jest jednym z najważniejszych wymagań stawianych współczesnym budynkom. Pomimo coraz większej świadomości społecznej, podejmowanych działań profilaktycznych liczba ofiar pożarów w ostatnich latach ciągle utrzymuje się na stałym poziomie. W związku z tym istnieje konieczność dalszych szeroko zakrojonych wspólnych działań różnych środowisk związanych z ochroną przeciwpożarową, edukacją, ubezpieczeniową i innych. Tylko zintegrowane wielowymiarowe działania mogą przynieść oczekiwany skutek. Ten artykuł ma celu próbę przedstawienia prognoz na przyszłość w zakresie bezpieczeństwa pożarowego budynków, które w bliższej i dalszej perspektywie będą determinować ich poziom bezpieczeństwa pożarowego. Zmiany, na które wskazuje autor, zostały podzielone na trzy sfery: zmiany w technologii materiałowej, zmiany w podejściu do projektowania budynków oraz zmiany społeczne. Oprócz opisu przewidywanych zmian w obszarach, o których mowa powyżej, autor wskazuje na niektóre działania, które należy podjąć, aby osiągnąć najważniejszy cel bezpieczeństwa pożarowego, jakim jest ograniczenie liczby ofiar pożarów budynków i nie tylko.
    Fire safety requirements for buildings are one of the most important standards that present buildings must comply with. Despite growing social consciousness and preventive actions taken, the number of fatalities in building fires in recent years remains at the same level. Therefore, it is necessary to intensify efforts of various communities connected with fire safety, education, insurance, etc. Only closely integrated actions of huge impact may result in desired effect. The main goal of this article is to discuss future trends of the standards of building fire safety. They determine the level of fire safety in the long and short term. The changes described by the author were divided into three groups: changes in material science, changes in the approach to building design, social changes. Despite described above topics, the author indicates some actions, that should be taken to achieve the most important objective of fire safety, which is the decrease in fatalities in building fires.

    Ramy to modele myślenia, często podświadome, które determinują postrzeganie rzeczywistości. Na temat tych, które kształtują spojrzenie na kontrolę wykonania zadań istnieje niewiele badań. Przedstawione w artykule studia przypadków pochodzące z raportów z kontroli Trybunału Obrachunkowego Belgii służą głębszemu spojrzeniu na ramy, którymi kierują się kontrolerzy, gdy analizują problemy społeczne i sposoby ich rozwiązywania, zarządzanie i tworzenie programów publicznych, gromadzą dowody kontroli etc. Tę autorską analizę poprzedza przegląd literatury dotyczącej ram myślenia w filozofii, naukach społecznych, nauce o organizacji oraz kontroli wykonania zadań, któremu poświęcono pierwszą część artykułu prezentowanego w tym wydaniu „KP”. Autorzy dzielą się również własnymi przemyśleniami i doświadczeniami wynikającymi z wieloletniej praktyki.
    Frames are mental models that govern our information processing: they determine how we select facts (what we look at), how we interpret them and how much importance we attach to certain facts. This makes some of them visible, but also blinds us to other facts, it can even make us see things that are not there. Each of these perspectives can shed light on reality, but none is complete. To get a broader picture of what is going on, you need more than one lens. That is the subject of this article: with what frames do performance auditors perceive and think and how does this affect their judgments, explanations, recommendations? The message is not “to each his truth”, but reality is complex – different perspectives are needed to make as much of this reality visible as possible. Which (parts of a) frame are or are not applicable in a concrete case is ultimately an empirical question. The article is organized as follows: in the introduction the Authors explain what frames are and present the research method, next they summarize the existing literature on frames and then discuss the findings and analysis, based on three case studies. They conclude with lessons for audit practice.

    The text takes up the problem of interdisciplinarity of fashion, architecture, exhibition, activities bordering on theatre or multimedia, pointing to the multifaceted relationship between fashion and broadly understood art. It shows that clothing design is a multi-media art.

    W artykule przedstawiono wybrane wyniki drugiej edycji „Badania losów absolwentów Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego w Poznaniu”. Badaniem objęto absolwentów studiów stacjonarnych po roku od ukończenia przez nich kształcenia. Przedstawiona w tekście analiza dotyczy absolwentów studiów magisterskich, a zakres tematyczny dotyczy ich statusu na rynku pracy, mobilności zawodowej i przestrzennej, dopasowania kwalifikacyjnego oraz determinantów sukcesu na rynku pracy.
    The article presets selected results of the second wave of the research project ‘Investigation of Labour Market Performance of PUE Graduates’. The survey covered the graduates of Poznan University of Economics one year after completing their education. The analysis presented in the paper is focused on the master’s level graduates and includes covers such thematic areas as: position in the labour market, professional mobility, qualification mismatch, determinants of professional success.
    В статье представлены выбранные результаты второго этапа „Исследования судеб выпускников Экономического университета в Познани”. Исследованием охвачены выпускники очного отделения через год после окончания вуза. Представленный в тексте анализ касается выпускников магистратуры, а тематический диапазон включает вопросы их трудового статуса, профессиональной и пространственной мобильности, соответствия квалификационным требованиям, а также детерминантов успеха на рынке труда.
