- Health and well–being belong to individual qualities of man. They comprise the emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual and physical dimension. For well–being and every other dimension of health the most important is a positive attitude towards life. These are the factors that have an impact on a healthy lifestyle. A crucial one is controlling the stress– inducing factors. Each stage of human life is a source of different stress–inducing factors. Studying at college constitutes a source of differentiated intellectual, financial and autonomous– life pressure. The assessment of stress is based on the individual perception and the possibility of overcoming a stress–inducing situation. The awareness of the individual differences influences with varied intensification a person’s health. The aim of the paper is to determine the impact of the stress–inducing factors on students’ everyday life and their personality. In the research participated 150 students of the 3rd form of the State College of Biała Podlaska, the Tourism and Recreation Faculty. In the assessment of students’ personality endurance to stress–inducing factors a questionnaire measuring reaction hardness to stress– inducing factors. The findings show a relatively high percentage of moderate hardness to stress–creating factors (66% of the surveyed), low hardness (c. 10%) and high hardness (c. 20%). One can ascertain a certain dependence of personality, in consideration of stress–creating factors, upon the student’s performance in the learning process.
