    Research of the Irano-Roman relations seems dominated by teh military perspective. This situation is cause by the very nature of the sources which mention both states mostly in light of the warfare waged between them. Equally fascinating are the diplomatic relations between Rome and Iran. One of the most interesting aspects of non-military relations are financial flows between both states. According to John Lydos, king Yazgerd was to offer emperor Theodosius II (408-450) building together a fortress which was to block the passage through Caucasus. At the same time the king demanded from the emperor participation in the costs of the defense of the fortress. The problem of the reconciliation of the payments for defending of the Caucasian frontier became the grudge between the states making the rectification of the relationships even more difficult. The key problem seems to determine the peace negotiations which initiated Iranian claim towards the Empire. The second problem might be the motives which drove Iranian monarchs in their financial claims towards the emperors.

    This article argues that the relations between France and Germany have gained a new dynamic since the French elections of 2017. While president Macron shares more common views with the German left, he will most likely accommodate with conservative parties as well. European reforms have to be expected in the fields of finance, social and defence policy.

    Nach der weltweiten Finanzkrise 2007/2008 ist die Jugendarbeitslosigkeit in vielen europäischen Ländern stark gestiegen, während sie in einigen Ländern (Deutschland, Österreich) gering blieb oder gar sank. Ein verpasster Berufseinstieg kann für die Biographie junger Menschen gravierende Konsequenzen haben und ihr Vertrauen in die politische und wirtschaftliche Ordnung herabsetzen. Daher sind kurzfristige Überbrückungsmaßnahmen für die aktuell Betroffenen nötig. Langfristig kommt es zudem in vielen europäischen Ländern mit hoher Jugendarbeitslosigkeit darauf an, durch eine bessere Verzahnung von Ausbildungs- und Beschäftigungssystem den Berufseinstieg der jungen Generation zu gewährleisten.
    After the global financial crisis 2007/2008 youth unemployment in many European countries has risen sharply, while in some countries (Germany, Austria) remained low or even decreased. A missed Career entry can for the biography of young people have serious consequences and reduce their confidence in the political and economic order. Therefore, short-term stopgap measures are necessary for the currently affected. In many European countries with high youth unemployment important it is also important to ensure the Career entry of the young generation through a better integration of training and employment system.

    The article focuses on the realm of stock exchange and its terminology. It starts with a historical overview of stock exchange in Europe, with a particular emphasis on the one in Frankfurt am Main. The main objective of the article, however, is to present the key stock market terms. After characterising the terms from the stock exchanges in Paris and the United States, the author discusses lexis from the online version of the German stock-market daily newspaper, BörsenZeitung. The data comes from the first half of 2013. Thirty terms with the highest frequency have been selected and analysed.

    Der Beitrag ist drei Wirtschaftstexten der österreichischen Autorin Elfriede Jelinek gewidmet, deren Anliegen die gegenwärtige Wirtschaftskrise sowie die Mechanismen und Handlungsweisen der modernen Finanzökonomie sind. Der Beitrag erörtert den fiktionalen und referenzlosen Charakter der spätkapitalistischen Finanzgeschäfte und deren ‚gespenstisches‘ Wesen. Die Immaterialität der aktuellen Finanzökonomie wurde am Beispiel der uneindeutigen, multiplen Sprache Jelinekscher „Textflächen“ und anhand der in den Texten thematisierten Prozesse der Fiktionalisierung und des Realitätsverlustes des Bank-Börsen-Systems demonstriert. Alle drei Werke problematisieren die ‚Kollateralschäden‘ des gespenstischen Finanzkapitalismus, zu denen die enteigneten und exkludierten Gespenster-Menschen, „homo sacer“ (Z. Bauman) gehören.
    This article is devoted to three works by Austrian Nobel prize winner Elfriede Jelinek which deal with the contemporary economic crisis and with the mechanisms of financial economics. The analysis presented focuses mainly on the immaterial and unreal nature of today’s market whose essence and methods of operating is reminiscent of a spectre. This immaterial aspect of the economic and financial system is demonstrated on the example of an ambiguous and ambivalent language employed by Jelinek and in the fictionalization processes and disappearance of references, which are characteristic of market functioning. The works analysed also point out to human apparitions, or social outcasts (Z. Bauman’s Wasted Lives) as effects of the spectres of financial capitalism. Deprived of money and property, they fight for survival as underdogs.
    Niniejszy artykuł poświęcony został trzem utworom austriackiej noblistki Elfriede Jelinek, w których podstawowym tematem jest współczesny kryzys gospodarczy oraz sposoby i mechanizmy funkcjonowania ekonomii finansowej. Zasadniczym aspektem, jaki poddany został analizie, jest niematerialny i odrealniony charakter współczesnego rynku, który w swojej istocie i sposobie działania przypomina widmo. Ten niematerialny wymiar systemu ekonomiczno-finansowego ukazany został na przykładzie niejednoznacznego, ambiwalentnego języka Jelinkowskich „powierzchni tekstowych” jak również w procesach fikcjonalizacji i utraty referencyjności, typowych dla funkcjonowania rynku. Wszystkie trzy teksty ukazują także skutki działania widma kapitalizmu finansowego jakimi są ludzie-zjawy, „ludzie na przemiał” (Z. Bauman), pozbawieni pieniędzy i własności oraz skazani na egzystencję na marginesie społeczeństwa.
