Opis:
The article shows construction solution of chassis dyno, designed for small-unmanned platform hybrid drive testing. Brief fore design of chassis dyno were also presented. Most important parts of dyno are module design of dyno. Each of dyno module consists of one free roll and one roll powered by electrical engine for inertia braking. Asynchronous electric engines for dyno stand were selected. Maximum torque, with respect to vehicle wheel torque has to be greater than Mo < 50 Nm, maximum linear speed of vehicle can’t be greater than Vp ≤ 40 km/h, minimal vehicle dimensions: axle base greater than 500 mm, wheel base greater than 770 mm, inverters allow to connect in series enable synchronous operation by computer, during tests, received energy is dispersed in resistors, emergency shut off of each engines. Methodology of measurements, based on UDC test, was presented. Dyno stand was used for hybrid propulsion testing of small-unmanned vehicle. Dyno was used for hybrid drive testing, where measurement of electrical parameters, proportional to load of vehicle drive system, were collected and other parameters such as battery temperature, and electric engines or fuel consumption during tests. Tests were performed during various load and speed of vehicle. The developed methodology of research should allow for a comprehensive study of this type of vehicle in terms of overall efficiency, reliability and energy needs.

Objectives: The use of Unmanned Vehicles in air, land and water transport is constantly increasing due to their technical and operational capabilities, along with economic advantages. They are used for recreational and commercial purposes by individuals, companies, organisations and state institutions. Particular types of vehicles are at different stages of technical, legislative and implementation advancement. Unmanned vehicles are at different phases of the process of the launch on the market for common use by the public. Railway transport will be the first to undergo widespread and, consequently, full automation, due to the fact that it is already in use and there is a possibility of its safe implementation, which must progress along with the development of technology, science and experience of producers and users. Methods: Scientific methods used in the paper are: analysis and criticism of written sources, analysis and logical construction. Results: The article presents issues concerning the possibility of implementing the use of unmanned vehicles in the air, land and water transport system. The state of advancement of the legislative and technical work has been described, along with the difficulties that can be encountered before the complete implementation of unmanned vehicles into operation. Conclusions: The process of implementing unmanned vehicles into the transport system has begun and it is irreversible. It is a matter of time before unmanned systems are used to transport people and goods. Their use is safer, more economically beneficial and brings benefits to society.

Opis:
To realize “seamless” connection of ocean port container multimodal transport, efficiently carry out “door-to-door” transport of ocean port containers and overcome the shortcomings of existing highway and railway vehicles, this study takes the standard for heavy-duty container vehicles in TB1335-1996 Railway Vehicle Strength Design and Test Identification Code as the design basis and designs a new ocean port container transport vehicle in combination with automatic guidance technology. This study innovatively designs the automatic lifting system of the bogie and the docking part of the vehicle, introduces the automatic guidance technology and the remote-control technology to optimize the car body structure, and uses the SAP software to carry out the finite element analysis of the car body load capacity and Flexsim software to carry out the simulation analysis on the operation of vehicles. The designed transfer vehicle can improve the transfer efficiency of ocean port containers, reduce the transit time of field and station equipment and container transport links, and improve the level of multimodal transport and comprehensive economic benefits.

Opis:
The paper presents computational fluid dynamics hybrid model for analysis of complex flow composed of flow zones at low Reynolds number and flow zones at relatively high Reynolds number conditions. In the described model both ranges of the flow are separated and resolved independently using different way of simulation. That kind of phenomenon is typical for aerodynamics of unmanned propeller driven aircrafts operating at very high altitude conditions (stratospheric). That type of aerial vehicles is now used for military and scientific purposes. In many cases, the wings of a plane are operating at relatively high Reynolds number flow conditions and low angles of attack while the parts of the propeller blades are working at low Reynolds number flow condition and high angles of attack. Described numerical model was used for analysis of the impact of working propellers on the aerodynamics of the aircraft. Analysis was made on the example of a twin-engine, unmanned aircraft with electric motors during the high altitude flight. Three configurations were studied and compared: the plane without propellers, the plane with pusher propellers and the plane with tractor propellers. For each configuration, distributions of aerodynamic coefficients along the span of the wing and their global values for the entire aircraft were estimated. Calculations were performed using the Fluent solver with implementation of a model of propeller based on the Blade Element Theory. Results of the analysis indicate a slight advantage of the tractor propellers configuration.

Providing a robotic-assisted service in scenarios involving multiple Unmanned Vehicles (UVs) in possible beyond-visual-Line-Of-Sight (LoS) operations, safety and security are critical concerns. We develop a web-oriented, human-in-the-loop infrastructure to explore how the service provider can secure their system, enforce instant access control over dynamic operator-robot connections, and ensure the integrity, availability, and traceability of communicated data. Our proposed minimal viable solution requires an authentication server to verify user identity, a back server with a database to handle user requests and state-transition events, and a RabbitMQ (RMQ) server to trace the origin of data.

Opis:
The use of virtual reality for the establishment of compliance is a potential game-changer in enabling real-time remote inspections/ surveys of vessels. When provided with high-speed internet access, robots or remote-controlled inspection vehicles such as drones, crawlers, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and so on, may be equipped with remote inspection technologies (RITs), and smart optical cameras and sensor suites in conjunction with wearable technologies, and smart/ mobile devices, to carry out an aerial and underwater virtual assessment of the coating condition of the steel structural members of the vessel while transmitting the data in real-time or near real-time, via collaborative software. To ease the travel restrictions and border closures prompted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19), these novel technologies have been introduced by some flag states and classification as alternatives to traditional in-person statutory inspections/ class surveys. This study aims to employ a systematic literature review (SLR) approach to (1) classify the profiles of existing publications related to remote inspections/ surveys, (2) highlight the key thematic areas being discussed within the domain of remote inspections/ surveys and identify tasks and processes that may require virtual reality application. To the best of our knowledge, the findings have revealed that there is no existing SLR paper related to the application of remote inspection techniques in ship inspections/ surveys. However, the review retrieved 28 primary studies from the following databases: Scopus, Web of Science, Science Direct, and Google Scholar. Based on the results, various studies have proposed multifarious solutions to overcoming the existing technical and regulatory barriers to the mass deployment of these cutting-edge technologies.

Opis:
This paper offers an analytical discussion on the terminology and timeframes related to the future of shipping. The discussion is based on issues that have surfaced within the Swedish research project Autonomy and responsibility. The paper argues that the concept ‘autonomous ships’ has become an indicator of that seafarers soon will become obsolete – which may have negative consequences for the supply of maritime competence in coming years - and that the proper definition of the term ‘autonomous’ describes something that will never apply to a ship. Ships can be given the possibility, but hardly the full right or condition of self-government. It is argued that ‘smart ships’, or perhaps ‘intelligent ships’, are more appropriate, since these terms describe the current and future state of technology without predicting how humans will prefer to use it. The estimated timeframes for implementation of unmanned ships suggest no threat to the seafaring occupation for coming generation. The content of the occupation will of course change due to the phase of implementation of degree of digitalization, but there will always be a need for maritime knowledge and understanding.
