    Opis:
    The objective of this contribution is the application of a new methodology for assessing connectivity in passenger transport regarding selected tariff points accessibility in the context of developing the selected region. From the passenger´s point of view, it is necessary to specially assess the accessibility of lines within transportation, between the selected destinations using passenger air transport. The length of the travel time, the number of necessary transfers and the number of travel opportunities affects the possibilities of transport between place A and B. The connections and lines are thus influenced by many factors. This is the basic point to consider when designing a set of evaluation criteria for assessing the connectivity and in carrying out a case study for a specific region. In this paper, Václav Havel Airport in Prague (Czech Republic) with selected air transport connections were evaluated according to the proposed methodology.

    The aim of the paper is to present the author’s attempt to adapt the Servqual Method to study the quality attributes of passenger air services. This market is witnessing a growing dynamic of competition intensity and a distinctive trend consisting of focusing on improving the quality of the most important determinants in basic areas of this business. The method of comprehensive evaluation of this process and its consequences on the Polish market has so far not been scientifically researched. The paper attempts to fill this gap. The proposed solution consists in the introduction of a new, previously unused, research method to the system of analysis, assessment and measurement of the air services quality, which constitutes a specific contribution to the science. Innovation of its application consists in a detailed reformatting of the Servqual Method and adaptation of both tested criteria and research areas to the nomenclature, specific requirements and conditions of this service sector. Using this method, it is possible to conduct a comprehensive range of tests taking into account the correctness, effectiveness of measurement, possibility of specifying the conclusions and recommendations as well as modernity of their implementation. The research questionnaire constructed by the author serves this purpose, in which the most important criteria and research areas of the discussed scope of services have been proposed.

    The article deals with the geographic and transport position that Leningrad – St. Petersburg takes in the passenger transportation system, which differs to a great extent from its position in the system of freight transportation and undergoes considerable changes with time. The time period under analysis is from the 1950s to the 1960s and to the present moment. The transformation of Leningrad – St. Petersburg position in the system of airline passenger transportation is studied by means of 1) the coefficient of transportation connectivity method (the CTC method) developed by the author of the article and 2) passenger transportation zoning covering those territories which are connected with the city by airline and railway transportation facilities. The greatest attention is paid to the transportation zoning of the former Soviet Union, and this let us to rely on the obtained data in studying other cities’ airline connections through the coefficient of transportation connectivity method. The undertaken comparing of passenger airline destinations through decades shows which transportation destinations ensured the maximum growth in passenger transportation in Leningrad – St. Petersburg in the late 1980s and which ones provided for the sharp decline or decrease in the 1990s. It can also be noted that Pulkovo airport passenger transportation is currently increasing mostly due to the western destinations than the eastern ones.

    The Covid-19 pandemic unexpectedly shook the entire global economy, causing it to destabilize over a long period of time. One of the sectors that was particularly hit hard was air traffic, and the changes that have taken place in it have been unmatched by any other crisis in history. The purpose of this article was to identify the time series describing the number of airline flights in Poland in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. The article first presents selected statistics and indicators showing the situation of the global and domestic aviation market during the pandemic. Then, based on the data on the number of flights in Poland, the identification of the time series describing the number of flights by airlines was made. The discrete wavelet transformation (DWT) was used to determine the trend, while for periodicity verification, first statistical tests (Kruskal-Wallis test and Friedman test) and then spectral analysis were used. The confirmation of the existence of weekly seasonality allowed for the identification of the studied series as the sum of the previously determined trend and the seasonal component, as the mean value from the observations on a given day of the week. The proposed model was compared with the 7-order moving average model, as one of the most popular in the literature. As the obtained results showed, the model developed by the authors was better at identifying the studied series than the moving average. The errors were significantly lower, which made the presented solution more effective. This confirmed the validity of using wavelet analysis in the case of irregular behaviour of time series, and also showed that both spectral analysis and statistical tests (Kruskal-Walis and Fridman) proved successful in identifying the seasonal factor in the time series. The method used allowed for a satisfactory identification of the model for empirical data, however, it should be emphasized that the aviation services market is influenced by many variables and the forecasts and scenarios created should be updated and modified on an ongoing basis.

    W artykule omówiono wartość cywilnego samolotu pasażerskiego jako produktu oraz jego wartość w działalności rynkowej. Autor odwołał się do przykładu pasażerskich samolotów wyprodukowanych przez koncern Boeing. Scharakteryzowano poszczególne modele i typy samolotów, ich ilość i lata, w których je produkowano. Przedstawiono także dane techniczne oraz eksploatacyjne wybranych samolotów. Wycenę wartości samolotu pasażerskiego, jako produktu marketingowego przedstawiono z punktu widzenia zarówno producenta jak i przewoźników, omówiono także czynniki mające wpływ na wartość samolotów i ich eksploatację.

    W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono położenie Łodzi w sieci transportowej Polski oraz regionu łódzkiego. Skupiono się na lokalizacji ośrodka względem głównych elementów sieci drogowej, kolejowej i lotniczej we wskazanej skali krajowej i regionalnej. Ze względu na fizycznogeograficzne położenie Łodzi, te trzy gałęzie transportu wyczerpują możliwości transportowych powiązań miasta. Ponadto poddano charakterystyce relacje transportowe Łodzi w zakresie funkcjonującego transportu zbiorowego z uwzględnieniem wymienionych wcześniej form przewozu. Opracowanie zawiera również informacje na temat znaczenia Łodzi jako węzła transportowego przy przepływach ładunków. Wszystkie powyższe analizy poprzedzają rozważania nad lokalizacją Łodzi na tle transeuropejskich korytarzy transportowych oraz przegląd historycznych uwarunkowań powiązań transportowych obszaru dzisiejszej Łodzi.
    This article presents the location of Łódź in the transport network of Poland and the Łódź region. It focuses on the centre’s location in reference to the main elements of road, rail and air networks on a national and regional scale. Due to physical and geographical location of Łódź, the three branches of transport exhaust the city’s transport possibilities. Besides that, transport relations of Łódź are characterized as far as the functioning public transport is concerned, considering all the aforementioned modes of transport. The study also includes information on the significance of Łódź as a transport node for cargo transport. All these analyses precede reflections on the location of Łódź against the background of trans-European transport corridors as well as an overview of historical conditioning of transport connections of the area of today’s Łódź.

    Artykuł dotyczy kwestii zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa osobom zajmującym najważniejsze stanowiska państwowe. Skoncentrowano się na procedurach stosowanych w czasie przewozu najważniejszych osób w państwie wojskowymi statkami powietrznymi. Celem artykułu jest wskazanie zakresu zmian dokumentach normatywnych dotyczących zasad przewozu VIP-ów. Autor omawia istotne czynniki dotyczące przygotowania załogi samolotu i samej maszyny do przewozu VIP-ów. Wyszczególniono m.in. wymagania dotyczące doświadczenia w lotach, zalecenia dotyczące doboru i selekcji członków załogi oraz planowania i przygotowywania przelotów i załogi. Omówiono także wytyczne dotyczące przygotowania statku powietrznego i jego wyposażenia, przeglądów technicznych i planowania lotu z uwzględnieniem analizy warunków atmosferycznych.

    Autor zauważa, że ze względu na bezpieczeństwo państwa czy też „interes narodowy”, przewóz VIP-ów samolotami wojskowymi jest opatrzony bardziej rygorystycznymi zasadami i regulacjami z niższym dopuszczalnym poziomem ryzyka niż przewozy pozostałych pasażerów. Omówiono dokumenty regulacyjne dotyczące przewozów VIP, które posiadają bardziej szczegółowy zakres zagadnień i kierują się zasadą „przede wszystkim bezpieczeństwo” i zabezpieczają przed tzw. „błędem ludzkim”. Scharakteryzowano dokumenty z lat 2003-2010 dotyczące przewozu najważniejszych osób w państwie wojskowymi statkami powietrznymi oraz dokumenty wydane po 2010 roku i katastrofie smoleńskiej. Dokumenty regulacyjne opisują dodatkowe wymagania dotyczące wyposażenia wojskowych statków powietrznych przewożących VIP-y. Przedstawiają także bardziej dogłębne analizy czynników środowiskowych w celu zmniejszenia zagrożeń bezpieczeństwa w wyniku niekorzystnych warunków pogodowych.
