Opis:
The paper presents methods for in situ evaluation of coal permeability paying special attention to methods invented in the Oil and Gas Institute – National Research Institute (INiG – PIB). Included are: − a slug test method and alternative interpretation of slug test data using procedure devised in INiG – PIB, − a method which uses injection of water with a constant flow rate into a horizontal drainage well and accounts for the three dimensional flow (invented in INiG – PIB), − a method which uses air pressure decay in an isolated segment of a horizontal/vertical well to calculate permeability and skin effect (invented in INiG – PIB).
W artykule zaproponowano szereg metod przystosowanych do użytku w warunkach kopalnianych do określania przepuszczalności in situ węgli. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono metodzie interpretacji danych slug testu opracowanej w Instytucie Nafty i Gazu – Państwowym Instytucie Badawczym (INiG – PIB) oraz metodom zatłaczania wody do drenażowego odwiertu poziomego przy utrzymywaniu stałego wydatku tłoczenia uwzględniającym przepływ sferyczny, jak również metodzie interpretacji przebiegu spadku ciśnienia gazu w izolowanym odcinku otworu drenażowego wykorzystującej urządzenie opracowane w Głównym Instytucie Górnictwa (GIG). Wszystkie wymienione metody opracowano w INiG – PIB.

Opis:
The calculation of unknown hydrodynamic derivatives of the equations of motion is the first step to estimate ship maneuverability and dynamic stability. These derivatives can be obtained theoretically, experimentally and numerically. Despite the development of the oblique towing model test to measure the hydrodynamic derivatives of displacement ships, limited experimental results are available for hydrodynamic derivatives of high speed crafts and speed dependency of the hydrodynamic derivatives is not understood well. In this paper a systematic series of model tests is described to determine the effect of forward speed on hydrodynamic derivatives of a monohull planing craft and the variations of the hydrodynamic derivatives by forward speed are derived. According to the results, hydrodynamic derivatives of planing hull are dramatically changed by variations of forward speed. Moreover, it is not possible to introduce a constant hydrodynamic derivative in the all the ranges of drift angle. Thus, the method of known constant hydrodynamic derivatives is not applicable to the simulation of planing craft maneuvering and variable hydrodynamic derivatives should be applied.

Opis:
One of the most crucial tasks for naval architects is computing the energy required to meet the ship’s operational needs. When predicting a ship’s energy requirements, a series of hull resistance tests on a scale model vessel is carried out in constant speed stages, while the acceleration stage measurements are ignored. Another important factor in seakeeping analysis is the ship’s hydrodynamic added mass. The second law of dynamics states that all this valuable information, that is, the dependence of the hull resistance on the vessel’s speed and the added mass, is accessible from just one acceleration stage towing test done up to the maximum speed. Therefore, the acceleration stage, often overlooked in traditional towing experiments, can be a valuable source of information. For this reason, this work aims to generalise Froude’s scaling procedure to full-scale vessels for the accelerated stage towing tests.

Opis:
In order to obtain the hydrodynamic coefficients that can save cost and meet the accuracy requirements, a new hydrodynamic test platform based on a 6DoF (six degrees of freedom) parallel mechanism is proposed in this paper. The test platform can drive the ship to move in six degrees of freedom. By using this experimental platform, the corresponding hydrodynamic coefficients can be measured. Firstly, the structure of the new device is introduced. The working principle of the model is deduced based on the mathematical model. Then the hydrodynamic coefficients of a test ship model of a KELC tank ship with a scale of 1:150 are measured and 8 typical hydrodynamic coefficients are obtained. Finally, the measured data are compared with the value of a real ship. The deviation is less than 10% which meets the technical requirements of the practical project. The efficiency of measuring the hydrodynamic coefficients of physical models of ships and offshore structures is improved by the device. The method of measuring the hydrodynamic coefficients by using the proposed platform provides a certain reference for predicting the hydrodynamic performance of ships and offshore structures.

Opis:
In this paper, the hydrodynamic resistance of one-step planing craft has been experimentally investigated under different geometrical and physical conditions. For this to be accomplished, a Fridsma body model with different deadrise angles was considered. Moreover, the effect of the longitudinal distance of the step from the transom and the step height on the hydrodynamic resistance of a stepped planing craft has been evaluated at different hull velocities. According to the experimental results, frictional resistance can be enhanced by decreasing the height of the step. However, a greater total resistance can be obtained by increasing the longitudinal distance of the step from the transom. Moreover, it was found that the proportionality of the longitudinal distance of the step from the transom to the step height has a remarkable effect on the hydrodynamic efficiency of the step in stepped planing craft.

Opis:
This paper presents the project of the test stand to determine the friction force, the relative eccentricity and temperature distribution m the slide journal bearing during the lubrication with ferrofluid or classic oil. The test stand is built on the basis of TUM 25 lathe's corps. There is the shaft with a diameter of journal d = 100 mm supported on two supports attached to the lathe's body. There is a sleeve in the housing with the electromagnets installed in the centre of this shaft. The housing of sleeve is loaded bv a transverse force with hydrostatic supports (cylindrical and flat one). Measurement of friction force is made by strain gauge force sensor Friction force is measured on the body shells. At the same time is performed measurement of both sleeve and journal displacements by four inductive displacement's sensor s and four whirl-stream ones to determine the relative eccentricity and displacement of sleeve axis towards oj the shaft axis. The slide bearing is supplied bv the ferrofluid which is thermatly stabilized in ultrathermostat. In the paper is shown particular plan for experimental research. These studies are intended to demonstrate the changes of relative eccentricity and temperature distribution in the bearing. Additionally are presented the changes of friction forces caused by the bearing surfaces shape and ferrolubricant with different concentrations of magnetic particles Fe3O4. The gap of slide bearing can be affected by the external longitudinal magnetic field with different ralues of magnetic field strength. The bearing may by loaded a transverse force varying stepwise, or continuously with values from a few to several thousand Newton. A/so, the rotational velocitv of Journal can be changed stepwise, or continuously from 0 to 6000 rpm using a programmable inverter.
