    Opis:
    Urban/regional resilience is a relatively new concept relating to transformations of urban space and its surroundings, both in Europe and on other continents. This article explores regional resilience in the context of sustainability. Factors determining urban resilience were defined and identified in the counties of the Region of Warmia and Mazury. The aim of the article was to analyse and verify the resilience of local development. The methodology of the study was based on the literature and empirical research.
    Idea prężności rozwoju miast / regionów jest nadal zagadnieniem nowym w kontekście przekształceń przestrzeni miejskiej oraz jej otoczenia zarówno w Europie jak i na innych kontynentach. Artykuł opisuje temat prężności regionu w oparciu o odporność i wytrzymałość struktury nastawionej na zrównoważony rozwój. Przedstawione zostaną czynniki determinujące prężność miejską oraz podjęta zostanie próba identyfikacji tych czynników w poszczególnych powiatach województwa warmińsko-mazurskiego. Celem artykułu jest analiza prężności rozwoju lokalnego oraz jej weryfikacja. Metodyka badań bazować będzie na literaturze przedmiotu oraz badaniach empirycznych.

    The article presents the Identity Dynamics Questionnaire (IDQ) as a method for measuring identity processes and modes included in the identity dynamics model by Oleś. The model refers to general processes of personality development that underlie identity functioning located on two dimensions: the internal experience and the external activity. The new tool was created to validly and reliably operationalize the theoretical proposition and to verify its assumptions and relations between components of the model. Four studies were conducted as successive stages of constructing the IDQ. Studies 1 and 2 aimed to exploratory setting the content of subscales designed to measure four identity processes (integration, reconstruction, adaptation, expansion – part A of the IDQ) and four identity modes (stabilization, fluidity, amplification, pliability – part B of the IDQ). Studies 3 and 4 served to confirmatory analyses concerning the structure of the IDQ and show its validity. The studies showed satisfactory psychometric properties of current version of the new method.

    Opis:
    Transport infrastructure objects are exposed to a large number of loads, which cause the formation of displacements, bends, wear, cracks, breakdowns, corrosion, and other defects. It is shown that at the moment of initiation of malfunctions in objects, the noise of the noisy signals coming from the corresponding sensor takes critical values that correlate with useful signals. Therefore, algorithms are developed for calculating the probability of random noise accepting critical values, a coefficient of correlation between the critical values of the noise and the useful component, and a relay cross-correlation function. Technologies for monitoring the technical condition of transport infrastructure objects are proposed based on the estimates of the developed noise characteristics. Computational experiments are conducted, and the reliability of the developed algorithms and technologies is confirmed.

    The study deals with the practical dimension of CSR initiatives, pointing to the good practices of an increasing number of companies in Poland in the context of their development. The CSR concept is gaining more importance in the development of companies and the idea of socially responsible business, implemented and consistently performed by enterprises, can significantly contribute to the growth of competitiveness on the market, building company’s value and shaping a lasting advantage over competitors. The main objective of the study was to examine good practices of Polish companies in terms of sustainable development challenges. The specific objective of this paper was to indicate the areas of corporate social responsibility in selected companies. The analysis focused on the following CSR areas: community involvement and development, consumer issues, the environment and labour practices. The study of the subject literature and websites on good CSR practices and the statistical and econometric analysis were used as research methods. A comparative analysis of CSR initiatives of selected companies was performed, comparing the tabulated information from the last few years. For the number of companies and practices in 2014-2018, the analysis of the dynamics was performed. First, simple indexes (one-base and chain) were determined. Next, the mid-term chain index and the mid-term rate of change were calculated and interpreted. Finally, for both variables, a linear trend model was determined. The results of the dynamics’ analysis indicated a clear upward trend both in terms of the number of socially responsible companies in Poland, and in the amount of good practices implemented by those companies. In the following years, a further systematic increase in the values of both variables is to be expected.
