    The protection of whistle-blowers under the Article 10 of ECHR has faced a lot of com-plex problems, which had been a result from the implications of ICT`s development and change of the media environment. The COE is involved in a worldwide debate about changes taking places in a contemporary legal system in the context of the protection of human rights. Therefore, the review of the latest legal initiatives (resolutions, recommendations, etc.) as well as other activities in the field concerned might be helpful to put the question-able issues.As the article is of the introductory character, further analysis is required. Within the human rights approach, it should concern, in particular the legal status of the whistle-blower and the issues, pertaining to legal and alternative ways of her/his protection.

    The world economy is on the verge of technological revolution which is profoundly changing the way of the operation of enterprises. The signpost of the transformation of the world industry is the vision of Industry 4.0, which is a response to contemporary challenges and gives grounds for creating significant competitive advantages of modern enterprises. In the paper, the author attempts to respond to the question concerning what Industry 4.0 is, what opportunities it provides and what challenges it poses.     The sustainable development of the cities represents one of the major challenges for the future of the planet in the 21st century, relatively to the contribution and adaptation to climate change, natural resources consumption, energetic transition, population mobility, welfare and security, pollution, the global economic growth. Tri-City, as many of contemporary agglomerations, faces lots of challenges connected with human negative impact on the environment, health and the city space. The mobility of people is one of them. The quality of transport in Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot is getting worse because of the excessive use of cars, non-integrated public transport system, insufficient use of ecological transport, as well as uncontrolled urban sprawl. The objective of the paper is to present sustainable mobility planning challenges in the agglomerations at the example of seaport city Gdynia. To check the necessity of creating a new mobility pattern for important traffic generators, a research study has been carried out. The pilot survey research has been made among the staff and students of one of the biggest institutions in the city - Gdynia Maritime University. The research tool was based on an anonymous questionnaire containing a set of questions such as: the use of mode of transport, transit and parking problems, as well as the awareness of sustainable mobility. The survey results indicate that there is an unsustainable model of travelling among the academic community and transport’s behavior should be changed in order to implement the sustainable mobility concept in practice.
    Zrównoważony rozwój miast, podobnie jak zmiany klimatyczne, zużycie zasobów natural-nych, przemiany energetyczne, migracje ludności, dobrobyt i bezpieczeństwo społeczne, za-nieczyszczenie środowiska, globalny wzrost gospodarczy, stanowi jedno z głównych wyzwań dla przyszłości naszej planety w 21 wieku. Trójmiasto, jak wiele innych współczesnych aglo-meracji, mierzy się z wieloma wyzwaniami odnoszącymi się do negatywnego wpływu czło-wieka na środowisko, zdrowie i przestrzeń miejską. Mobilność ludzi jest jednym z nich. Jakość podróżowania w Gdańsku, Gdyni i Sopocie pogarsza się w wyniku nadmiernego użytkowania samochodów, braku integracji systemu transportu publicznego, nieefektywnego wykorzysta-nia ekologicznych środków transportu, jak również niekontrolowanego rozrastania się miast. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie wyzwań związanych z planowaniem zrówno-ważonej mobilności w aglomeracjach na przykładzie Gdyni. Aby sprawdzić, czy konieczne jest stworzenie nowego wzorca przemieszczania się dla osób podróżujących do dużych gene-ratorów ruchu, zostało wykonane badanie, przeprowadzone wśród studentów i pracowników jednej z największych instytucji w mieście – Akademii Morskiej w Gdyni. Narzędziem wyko-rzystanym podczas badania był anonimowy kwestionariusz ankietowy zawierający szereg py-tań, takich jak: wykorzystanie środka transportu, problemy przewozowe i parkingowe, jak również świadomość respondentów odnośnie zrównoważonej mobilności. Wyniki badania wskazują na niezrównoważony model podróżowania wśród pracowników i studentów. Aby móc realizować koncepcję zrównoważonej mobilności w praktyce, zachowania transportowe respondentów powinny ulec zmianie.

    The article depicts John Amos Comenius’ selected ideas and their reference to the contemporary times. It is mainly based on his two major works: Great Didactics and Pampaedia, my own research papers and other available ones, as well as on some research conducted by education science students for their MA theses concerning John Amos Comenius’ teacher in reference to the modern teacher2. It focuses on Comenius’ idea of permanent education, which refers to contemporary education3. Nowadays permanent education is a key educational challenge in Poland, Europe and all over the world. The article is an attempt to define comeniology as an emerging scientific discipline and specify the areas and ranges of comeniological research, mentioning its authors and describing their output published in “Siedlce Comeniological Research Bulletin. pedagogy series”. I prove the evolutional character of comeniological research. The article also mentions my education science students’ interest in Comenius and their activity including the research conducted for their MA theses about Comenius, presentations and written texts intended to be published in “Siedlce Comeniological Research Bulletin, pedagogy series”.

    Background: Software practice is evolving with changing technologies and practices such as InnerSource, DevOps, and microservices. It is important to investigate the impact of contemporary software engineering (SE) practices on software reuse. Aim: This study aims to characterize software reuse in contemporary SE practices and investigate its implications in terms of costs, benefits, challenges, and potential improvements in a medium-sized company. Method: We performed an exploratory case study by conducting interviews, group discussions, and reviewing company documentation to investigate software reuse in the context of contemporary SE practices in the case company. Results: The results indicate that the development for reuse in contemporary SE practices incurs additional coordination, among other costs. Development with reuse led to relatively fewer additional costs and resulted in several benefits such as better product quality and less development and delivery time. Ownership of reusable assets is challenging in contemporary SE practice. InnerSource practices may help mitigate the top perceived challenges: discoverability and ownership of the reusable assets, knowledge sharing and reuse measurement. Conclusion: Reuse in contemporary SE practices is not without additional costs and challenges. However, the practitioners perceive costs as investments that benefit the company in the long run.
