Opis:
The article presents an outlook for the development of electric cars in Poland until 2025. To that end, the situation in Poland will be compared to the situation in Norway. In many scientific papers, little attention was paid to the possibility of developing this technology in Poland because researchers focused mainly on technical issues. In order to determine the current and future situation, two tools will be used: Weight Attractiveness Scores and Three-tiers of Noncustomers. The analyses show that Polish policy is heading in the right direction. However, it is still not enough to become a leader, or a significant member, in implementing this technology, like Norway. Electric cars in Poland will grow at a very rapid pace, however, the dissemination of this product on Polish roads until 2025 is unlikely.electric vehicle

Opis:
Transformation of economic, cultural, and social changes in Poland contributes to the increasing diversity and heterogeneity in consumer behavior on the car market. The diversity of behavior is observable in both - the purchase and usage of vehicles, it affects the qualitative and quantitative structure of consumption, including the actual market decisions shaped by aspirations, needs, preferences, ways of achieving objectives, cycles of exchange of goods, lifestyles, family model and many others.(fragment of text)

Opis:
The article seeks to identify socio-economic conditions that affect the demand of individual consumers for cars and to analyse the spatial differences of those conditions. To achieve this objective use was made of methods and models of spatial econometrics. The analysis conducted embraced all poviats in Poland (the secondlevel unit of the Polish administrative division, equivalent to LAU-1, previously called NUTS-4) and covered the years 2010-2015. The findings show that the primary factor affecting the demand for new cars in Poland, other than the price, was the level of wealth of potential consumers. A complementary role was played by the demographic situation, the level of local development and the level of satisfaction of the needs for a motor vehicle. An in-depth analysis in the form of geographically weighted regression (GWR) showed there to be spatial variations in the conditions identified, which might explain the wide differences in the level of motorisation and the demand for new cars in Poland.

Opis:
The development of industry as well as competition and globalization entail the necessity to use new technologies, which largely affect the competitive advantage of enterprises. Analysis of the implementation process of new or modified technology is difficult to conduct due to the cost of the process, its complexity and the rate of changes on the global market in the field of implemented technological innovations. The paper presents an example map of implementation and organization of platinum recovery from used car catalysts in Poland, taking into account the expectations of participants in various segments of the car recycling network. During the construction of the map, the technical parameters were also taken into consideration, apart from economic and technological parameters. The proposed map consisted of several stages: technology project, market research, technology preparation, acquiring entities that taking over the technology, launch of technology, and sale and distribution of the product. The individual stages have been characterized in the aspect of technology of platinum recovery from used car catalysts. The number of these stages, however, depends on the situation on the market of end-of-life vehicles and interested economic entities forming the structure of the platinum recovery network. The publication is the basis for further discussion on the creation of a platinum recovery network (missing in Poland) from car catalysts.

Opis:
Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to identify the determinants of behaviour of drivers with regard to the possession and use of cars and their approach to the alternative which allows to rent cars in the market today – the so-called car sharing service, which is becoming increasingly popular and consists in using a vehicle without having to own it. Design/methodology/approach: For the purposes of this article a survey was conducted among current and potential users of the car sharing service. The purpose of this publication was also to gain knowledge on the market's needs in terms of mobility and consumer perception of the services of car rental companies. Findings: According to the respondents' opinion, factors affecting the decision to use the car sharing service were verified in the surveys. Attention was paid to such issues as the availability of parking spaces for cars in the car sharing service, the price of this service and a modern fleet of vehicles made available in the service. Research limitations/implications: It is advisable to carry out further scientific research in the field of the use of car sharing services due to the fact that it is an increasingly popular way of communication, mainly among the inhabitants of urban agglomerations. Practical and social implications: The approach to car ownership is changing. Young people are increasingly giving up car ownership and prefer its use. They do not have to pay for the purchase of the car, its operating costs, insurance or garage. The car sharing service is a convenient form of using a car without unnecessary expenses. Originality/value: The transport services market is constantly expanding, both in the field of the carriage of goods and passengers. The number of cars per capita increases year after year, which directly translates into increased number of cars on the roads in Poland and in the world. The problem is most evident in large city centres where car parks are overcrowded and urban infrastructure is unable to cope with the growing number of cars. This was the reason for addressing the issue of changing the current model of passenger movement that could solve the problem of crowded cities.

Opis:
The degree of emission limitation achieved through improved efficiency of combustion engine vehicles can no longer set off additional emissions caused by increasing traffic activity. As the restriction of greenhouse gas emissions from cars is expected to be particularly difficult, the air pollution and excessive dependence of road transportation on oil cannot be improved without the implementation of new mobility concepts (biofuels, hybrid drives, electric vehicles). The lack of these concepts, as emphasized in the White Paper, will preserve transportation dependence on crude oil so deeply that only 10% of energy will be derived from renewable sources. According to this scenario, until 2050 the CO2 emissions in the transportation sector will increase by one-third compared to 1990. Moreover, there will be an increase in the costs of traffic congestion until 2050 by ca. 50%. The difference in the availability between central and peripheral areas and social costs of accidents and noise pollution will increase as well (EC, 2011). The goal of the paper is to determine whether the implementation of a new solution would actually improve the situation of air pollution, traffic noise, etc. To this end, the paper proposes a comparative analysis of cars with various sources of energy using a multi-criteria scoring method. Notably, this method has never been used in such a confrontation before. Until now, the multi-criteria assessment methods have been used i.a. to evaluate implementation variants for infrastructural investment projects in rail transport (Jacyna and Wasiak, 2007), traffic flow distribution (Jacyna and Merkisz, 2014; Wasiak et al., 2017), supply chain efficiency (Jacyna-Gołda et al., 2018), effectiveness of vehicle allocation for tasks in supply chains (Jacyna-Gołda et al., 2017), etc.
