    The article considers information technology for the realization of human communication using residual human capabilities, obtained by organizing text entry using mobile and auxiliary devices. The components of the proposed technology are described in detail: the method for entering text information to realize the possibility of introducing a limited number of controls and the method of predicting words that are most often encountered after words already entered in the sentence. A generalized representation of the process of entering text is described with the aid of an ambiguous virtual keyboard and the representation of control signals for the selection of control elements. The approaches to finding the optimal distribution of the set of alphabet characters for different numbers of control signals are given. The method of word prediction is generalized and improved, the statistical language model with "back-off" is used, and the approach to the formation of the training corpus of the spoken Ukrainian language is proposed.

    The article presents the case study of a sixteen-year-old girl with autism, who communicates by means of one of alternative and augmentative communication methods: Facilitated Communication, and the analysis of the results of working with the child. The theoretical part (two sections) presents the essence of interpersonal communication and focuses on the role of word in familiarizing oneself with the world. The paper also discusses relationships between disorders of cognitive functions and the development of communication skills in order to introduce Facilitated Communication as an alternative method of communication used among others by autistic persons.

    The paper identifies and defines augmentative and alternative communication, a new sub-discipline in applied linguistics whose primary parametre is linguistic competence whereas the secondary parameter is the phenomenon of speech inability and speech non-occurrence. At the same time it has been proven that linguistics of augmentative and alternative communication conducts primary, applied and implementation research having a hierarchical layout of scientific aims. It also enables to conduct a logopaedic analysis of mute and non-speaking persons. The postulates that govern it are presented in the last part of the text.
    W artykule wyodrębniono i zdefiniowano lingwistykę komunikacji alternatywnej i wspomagającej – nową subdyscyplinę w ramach lingwistyki stosowanej. Jej głównym parametrem jest kompetencja lingwistyczna, a parametrem pomocniczym zjawiska niemowności i niemówienia. Udowodniono jednocześnie, że lingwistyka komunikacji alternatywnej i wspomagającej, mając hierarchiczny układ celów naukowych, prowadzi badania podstawowe, stosowane oraz wdrożeniowe. Umożliwia również diagnozę o charakterze logopedycznym osób niemownych i niemówiących. Postulaty nią rządzące zaprezentowano w ostatniej partii tekstu.

    Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie możliwości wykorzystania eye-trackingu w szeroko pojmowanej edukacji dziecka niemówiącego ze sprzężoną niepełnosprawnością. Autorka posłużyła się analizą danych zastanych dokonaną z perspektywy własnego doświadczenia terapeutycznego w stosowaniu eye-trackingu w pracy z dziećmi w wieku przedszkolnym z niepełnosprawnością sprzężoną. W tekście przedstawiła najpierw zasadę działania eye-trackingu, a następnie ukazała jego wykorzystanie w badaniach z zakresu marketingu, kartografii, informatyki, jak również technik uczenia się. Następnie wskazała na eye-tracking jako potencjalne narzędzie do komunikacji z dziećmi niemówiącymi oraz do ich edukacji. W dalszej części zaprezentowała polskie urządzenia wykorzystujące technologię eye-trackingu w działaniach diagnostycznych, terapeutycznych i edukacyjnych. Z badań wynika, iż eye-tracking może odmienić życie dzieci, dla których jedynym kanałem komunikacyjnym jest wzrok, ponieważ oferuje im nowe formy spędzania wolnego czasu, uczenia się i komunikowania z otoczeniem. Ponadto technologię eye-trackingową można i trzeba wykorzystać do ponownej diagnozy dzieci ze sprzężoną niepełnosprawnością, u których poradnie psychologiczno-pedagogiczne posługujące się tradycyjnymi metodami rozpoznały głęboki stopień niepełnosprawności intelektualnej.
    The aim of the article is to present the possibility of using eye-tracking in the education of non-speaking children with multiple disabilities. The author uses the analysis of the existing data from the perspective of her own therapeutic experience in the use of eye-tracking in work with preschool children with multiple disabilities. In the text, she first presents the principle of eye-tracking, and then she shows its use in marketing, cartography, IT, as well as learning techniques. She indicates eye-tracking as a potential tool for communication with non-speaking children and for their education. In the following part, she presents Polish devices that use eye-tracking technology in diagnostic, therapeutic and educational activities. The research shows that eye-tracking can change the lives of children for whom the only communication channel is sight, because it offers them new forms of spending free time, learning and communicating with the environment. In addition, eye-tracking technology can and must be used to re-diagnose children with multiple disabilities in whom psychological and pedagogical counselling centres – using traditional testing techniques – have recognised profound intellectual disability

    Ścisła współpraca środowiska domowego ze środowiskiem edukacyjnym jest istotnym elementem efektywności wdrażania alternatywnej i wspomagającej komunikacji (AAC). Celem autorki było zbadanie jakości tej współpracy na przykładzie (case study) jednego z wrocławskich Ośrodków Rehabilitacyjno-Edukacyjnych (ORE). Autorka prze- prowadziła badania ewaluacyjne równolegle z wewnętrzną ewaluacją ośrodka. Posłużyła się ankietą adresowaną do nauczycieli i specjalistów oraz  rodziców,  rozmowami  indywidualnymi,  analizą  dokumentów i obserwacją. Praktycznym efektem badań ewaluacyjnych było opracowanie szczegółowych rekomendacji dla ośrodka. Autorka stwierdziła, że efektywność wdrażania AAC w odniesieniu do dzieci i młodzieży – uczestników ORE – jest niska, głównie ze względu nieharmonijną współpracę środowiska domowego i środowiska edukacyjnego. Drugim ważnym czynnikiem jest nierównomierne korzystanie z AAC w obu środowiskach. Nauczyciele i specjaliści wykorzystują niemal wszystkie sytuacje w ciągu dnia, aby nawiązywać relację komunikacyjną z uczestnikami ORE, stosują różnorodne sposoby komunikacji, posługują się najnowocześniejszym urządzeniami, natomiast rodzice mają trudności z optymalnym wdrażaniem AAC w środowisku domowym, wskazując na wysokie koszty urządzeń do komunikacji oraz wyrażając przekonanie, że ORE wypełnia adekwatnie zadania z zakresu AAC, co zwalnia ich z obowiązku rozwijania komunikacji w domu.
    Close cooperation between the home environment and the educational setting is an important element of the effectiveness of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). The author’s aim was to examine the quality of this cooperation using the example (case study) of one of Poland’s Rehabilitation and Education Centers (OREs) in Wrocław. The author carried out an evaluation study in parallel with the center’s internal evaluation. She used a survey addressed to teachers, specialists, and parents, as well as individual conversations, document analysis, and observation. The practical effect of the evaluation study was the formulation of detailed recommendations for the center. The author stated that the effectiveness of implementing AAC in work with children and young people-OREs’ participants is low, mainly due to the inharmonious cooperation between the families and the educational center. The second important factor is the uneven use of AAC in both settings. Teachers and specialists use almost all situations during the day to establish communication with the ORE participants-they employ a variety of communication methods and utilize the most modern devices-while parents, who have difficulties adequately using AAC at home, point to the high costs of the communication devices.

    W artykule przybliżono zagadnienia dotyczące mowy i szerzej pojmowanego procesu komunikacji dzieci z zaburzeniem ze spektrum autyzmu. Scharakteryzowano prawidłowości rozwoju mowy i komunikacji dzieci z ASD. Starano się także ukazać konsekwencje zaburzonego rozwoju mowy przekładające się na funkcjonowanie psychospołeczne. Wyjaśniono, czym jest komunikacja alternatywna i wspomagająca, oraz wskazano wykorzystywane metody w terapii dzieci ze spektrum autyzmu.
    The article presents issues related to speech and the more widely understood process of communication of children with the autism spectrum disorder. The determinants of speech development and communication of children with ASD were characterized. Efforts were also made to show the consequences of disturbed speech development translating into psychosocial functioning. The paper explains the notions of the alternative and augmentative communication and describes the most frequently used methods in the treatment of children with the autism spectrum disorder.

    Nowadays solutions are sought for public administration to involve citisens in decision-making as one of the ways of promoting the development of civil society and thus to foster democratic forms of government. Public administration is looking for efficient methods of resolving administrative disputes. Administrative mediation serving the purpose of ensuring proper communication between the parties to administrative proceedings is one of such methods. Mediation in public administration hinges upon the definition of communication rules. The aim of this paper is to define communication from the perspective of legal science and discuss its application in the administrative mediation proceedings. In this article, we discuss the essence, the subject matter and the object of mediation as well as the legal regulations governing the mediation procedure and consider the possibility of applying mediation to the administrative procedure, as exemplified by the related case law. The study has been conducted by means of the legal research methods, in particular the legal-dogmatic approach and the legal functionalism approach.

    The aim of the article is to analyze how the German party Alternative für Deutschland (AfD), defined as right-wing and populist, positions the issues of migrants in virtual communication. The conducted research (content analysis) encompassed posts published by the party in 2020 on Facebook. The results of the research revealed that migrants appeared in AfD messages in two contexts. They were presented as a source of various threats and their presence in Germany being the result of wrong political decisions. The affective dimension of communication is associated with emphasizing the risk related to crime and threats to the German national identity and cultural values that bind the community together. The political dimension, on the other hand, focuses on the criticism of the government, which, in the AfD’s opinion, has taken poor decisions, which resulted in an uncontrolled influx of migrants.
    Celem artykułu jest analiza sposobu, w jaki niemiecka partia Alternative für Deutschland (AfD), definiowana jako prawicowa i populistyczna, pozycjonuje problematykę migrantów w wirtualnej komunikacji. Przeprowadzone badanie (metodą analizy treści) objęło posty opublikowane przez partię w 2020 roku na Facebooku. Wyniki badań ujawniły, że migranci pojawiali się w przekazach AfD w dwóch kontekstach. Byli przedstawiani jako źródło różnych zagrożeń oraz ich obecność w Niemczech wynikała z błędnych decyzji politycznych. Afektywny wymiar komunikacji wiąże się z podkreśleniem ryzyka związanego z przestępczością oraz zagrożeń dla niemieckiej tożsamości narodowej i wartości kulturowych, które spajają wspólnotę. Z kolei wymiar polityczny skupia się na krytyce rządu, który zdaniem AfD podjął złe decyzje, co skutkowało niekontrolowanym napływem migrantów.

    Introduction
    Opis:
    The development of new technologies has contributed to the creation of new tools which enable disabled persons to communicate with their surroundings, including use of internet network resources and education. Nowadays, when so many people have moved their activity, including their professional activity, into the network environment, even people with limited mobility and speech can function actively in society. Applications, which coupled with equipment recording eye movement may provide an aid to improving computer skills, are presented and compared in the paper. Solutions that do not require large financial resources are presented. These are shown to be very valuable, and this has been demonstrated by performance tests and a usability assessment of particular configurations formulated by a user unable to speak and diagnosed with quadriplegic cerebral palsy since the birth.     Rozwój nowych technologii przyczynił się do powstania nowych narzędzi, które umożliwiają osobom niepełnosprawnym komunikację z otoczeniem, w tym korzystanie z zasobów sieci internetowej oraz edukację. W dzisiejszych czasach, kiedy tak wiele osób przeniosło swoją aktywność, w tym zawodową, do środowiska sieciowego, nawet osoby z ograniczoną sprawnością ruchową i mową mogą aktywnie funkcjonować w społeczeństwie. W artykule przedstawiono i porównano aplikacje, które w połączeniu z urządzeniami rejestrującymi ruch gałek ocznych mogą stanowić pomoc w doskonaleniu umiejętności obsługi komputera. Przedstawiono rozwiązania, które nie wymagają dużych nakładów finansowych. Wykazano, że są one bardzo wartościowe, a świadczą o tym testy wydajnościowe oraz ocena użyteczności poszczególnych konfiguracji sformułowanych przez użytkownika niemogącego mówić i zdiagnozowanego od urodzenia z czterokończynowym porażeniem mózgowym. Informacje zawarte w artykule mogą być wykorzystane przez osoby, które chcą umożliwić swoim podopiecznym samodzielną komunikację przy niewielkich nakładach finansowych.
