Opis:
Before disassemble and demolition of five granulation towers the authors planned and carried out measurements of the intensity of vibrations induced during the fall of the dismantled components of towers on the ground. The main aim of the study was to determine the maximum permissible weight of falling elements of the towers during the demolition, in terms of ensuring the protection of buildings and equipment located in the vicinity of the works. It was unacceptable to increase the vibration amplitudę displacement in each section of measurement on each of the three perpendicular axes by more than 2 µm peak-to-peak value and the absolute velocity of RMS of vibration amplitude couldn’t be increased by more than 1 mm/sec value than the background vibration during the demolition of the towers. Preliminary experimental studies were conducted on a test stand and the measurements were made on the real object. The amplitudes of vibration waves displacement and velocity were recorded on the measurement section in the direction of the protected building. The results of measurements were used to identify the propagation of the shock wave and the effectiveness of the proposed insulation layers.

Opis:
The article presents the results of conditions of circular distribution of seismic vibrations generated during rock blasting. The Scales of Dynamic Influences [SWD] of the harmfulness of the vibration velocity on a two-storey building [SWDI] and a five-storey building[SWDII] are given. The value of seismic velocity safe for the construction of the buildings has been determined. They are in Zone II of the Dynamic Influence Scale [SWD] SWD I and SWD II. The magnitude of the components of the vibration velocity at the same distance from the source of vibration depends on the directional angle between the line of blast holes and the line connecting the centre of the surface of the mined rock block and the place of measurement. For the circular distribution of the vibration velocity, a theoretical analysis of the change in the radial value Vx and the tangential Vy of the vibration velocity depending on the change in the directional angle was conducted. Graphs of vibration velocity for circular distribution, measured during mining of rocks and complying with theoretical predictions were presented. For residential buildings, with SWDI and SWDII, the limit value of the safe vibration velocity for the building structures is given.

Opis:
In recent years coupled fluid-structure problems have appeared. The computational method used to solve this problem was based on a time-marching algorithm, so it was natural to consider a time domain flutter analysis method. The time domain method of flutter analysis is based on the simultaneous integration in time of the equation of motion for the structure and the fluid. The flow model is capable of representing 2D flows over a wide Mach number range from low subsonic to supersonic, including transonic flows. The aerodynamic model fully accounts for blade thickness and camber and the angle-of-attack effects. The unsteady Euler equations are integrated by using the explicit monotonous second-order accurate Godunov scheme. The blade is modelled on the basis of extended beam theory including a bending-bending-torsional vibration and also by the simple two-degree of freedom model. The equation of motion is obtained by using the extended Hamilton's principle and the Ritz method. The direct integration method is used to find a solution of the coupled fluid-structure problem. In this work the comparison of numerical and experimental results is presented for the first and fourth standard configurations.

Opis:
Despite undoubted advantages of a 5-cylinder in-line engine, its basic drawback is the lack of partial balancing the torque variability generated by gas forces by means of the torque caused by inertia forces. Such a desired phenomenon occurs in 4-cylinder engines. Accordingly, these engines - within a wide range of rotational speed -demonstrate greater engine smoothness than potentially better 5-cylinder engines. In the article, a concept of generating the moment of inertia forces by means of the proper rollers reducing the amplitude of the moment caused by gas forces is presented. Such a solution will allow for a significant mitigation of vibrations of 5-cylinder engines, and they are in many respects better than 4-cylinder ones, which has been justified more extensively in this article. The paper concerns the opportunity of constructing a 5-cylinder engine of the external torque stability equivalent to the torque stability of a 4-cylinder engine. It will allow obtaining a much better unit from the commonly used present 4-cylinder engines for the drive of passenger cars. An engine of the same swept capacity in the 5-cylinder rather than 4-cylinder version will be characterized by numerous advantages, and first and foremost: the space between the front wheels of the vehicle will be optimally used. 4-cylinder engine generates vary large summary forces of the 2nd order, which is manifested by intensive vibrations in the plane axis of the cylinders.

During the drilling process, between the drilling bit that ruins the rock in the bottom-hole and the energy source located on the ground surface is the drillstring that has certain length and small cross cuts that define the dynamics of the drilling bit work. Along with the development of science, for optimization of drilling processes were developed and continue to be elaborated mathematical models that use empirical dependencies based mainly on laboratory data which are very far away from the real conditions of well construction and fail to take into account all the peculiarities of this process. Thus, the management of the drillstring dynamics related to an increase in the effectiveness of deep directional and horizontal wells drilling process through the minimization of torsional and longitudinal Iow frequency vibrations of drilling instrument is a matter of topical interest nowadays.

Opis:
The pipelines are subject to various constraints variable in time. Those vibrations may result in both the fatigue damage in the pipeline profile at high stress concentration and the damage to the pipeline supports. If the constraint forces are known, the system response may be determined with high accuracy using analytical or numerical methods. In most cases, it may be difficult to determine the constraint parameters, since the industrial pipeline vibrations are due to the dynamic effects of the medium in the pipeline. In that case, a vibration analysis is a suitable alternative method to determine the stress strain state in the pipeline profile. If a straight pipe section supported on both ends is excited by the bending moments in the support profile, the starting point for the stress analysis are the strains, determined from the Euler–Bernoulli equation. In practice, it is easier to determine the displacement using the experimental methods, since the factors causing vibrations are unknown. The industrial system pipelines, unlike the transfer pipelines, are straight sections at some points only, which makes it more difficult to formulate the equation of motion. In those cases, numerical methods can be used to determine stresses using the kinematic inputs at a known vibration velocity amplitude and frequency. The study presents the method to determine the stresses.
W tych przypadkach do wyznaczenia naprężeń można stosować metody numeryczne, wprowadzając do obliczeń wymuszenia kinematyczne o znanej wartości amplitudy prędkości drgań i częstotliwości. Taki sposób wyznaczania naprężenia jest przedstawiony w pracy.

The paper presents numerical analysis of airplane parameters of motion during wing transverse vibrations of an average commercial airplane. The mathematical model of the airplane motion including a system of twelve ordinary differential equations was employed. Using available publications and M28 "Bryza" airplane geometrical and mass relationships, a computer code evaluating parameters of the motion was developed. In order to take the wing transverse vibrations under consideration, the way of wing displacements in the aircraft-fixed system of coordinates was elaborated as well as vibration amplitude and frequency were assumed. The analysis covered two cases of wing transverse vibrations: bending of both wing halves in phase and in counter-phase. On the basis of the obtained results, some conclusions referring the airplane dynamic properties during wing vibrations were formulated.

Opis:
In the paper, the non-linear vibrations and stability of a compound tworod column with different bending rigidities of its members are investigated. The support of the column is pinned and has a rotational spring the stiffness of which can be either constant or dependent on the applied load. A perturbation technique is chosen to solve the problem. As the column is loaded by a partially follower load it loses its stability via divergence or flutter. For the case of the nonconservative load an adjoint system is formulated for finding the amplitude-frequency relation. The linear part of the natural frequency for adjoint systems is the same, but the non-linear terms differ for each system because they depend on the vibration modes. The support stiffening may lower the critical load of the column.

Opis:
The most common design solution are cycloidal gearboxes with two discs, in which the reaction forces of bearings from the working discs create a bending moment on the high-speed input shaft, additionally affecting bearings. In the article are presented the results of tests of the cycloid gear prototype with three discs. Instead of the second disc, the introduction of two side discs, 1800 from the centre disc, allows you to reduce this moment to zero. To compensate for the unbalance of the shaft, the side discs have half the width of the centre disc. Each disc works with its own, separate set of bronze rollers, separated by Teflon washers, which should reduce the friction forces. In the article are presented the results of the tests of the cycloid gear prototype determining basic parameters such as efficiency, torque fluctuations on the input and output shaft, housing vibrations in three directions. FFT analysis of registered parameters showed high compliance of the designated frequencies for different measured signals. The assumed advantages, i.e. high efficiency and low vibration level in the tested range, were confirmed. The results are presented in the form of three-dimensional graphs as functions of speed and torque. High efficiency (80-90) % was obtained for load moments above 150 Nm, which is practically independent of the rotational speed with which the cycloid gearing works. The oil temperature during the tests was maintained in the range of 36oC ± 2oC. The maximal torque of the cycloidal gear was 500 Nm.

The free transverse vibrations of shafts with complex geometry are studied using analytical methods and numerical simulations. A methodology is proposed for evaluating the results of a natural transverse vibration analysis as generated by finite element (FE) models of a shaft with compound geometry. The effectiveness of the suggested approach is tested using an arbitrarily chosen model of the injection pump shaft. The required analytical models of the transverse vibrations of stepped shafts are derived based on the Timoshenko thick beam theory. The separation of variables method is used to find the needed solutions to the free vibrations. The eigenvalue problem is formulated and solved by using the FE representation for the shaft and for each shaft-simplified model. The results for these models are discussed and compared. Additionally, the usefulness of the Myklestad–Prohl (MP) method in the field of preliminary analysis of transverse vibration of complex shaft systems is indicated. It is important to note that the solutions proposed in this paper could be useful for engineers dealing with the dynamics of various types of machine shafts with low values of operating speeds.

Cycloidal gear is characterized by [2]: – Large ratio (up to 171:1) from one stage of reduction, which minimizes the weight and dimensions of the reducer. – Minimizing the centrifugal forces as the only high-speed element is the input shaft with an eccentric bearing. – Minimizing internal clearance due to simultaneous meshing of a large number of teeth. In contrast to gears with involute teeth, 10-50% of teeth are found in cycloidal gears with simultaneous meshing. It depends on the size of the gear and the load. The minimum number of teeth engages when running in bulk. – Low noise and low vibration for large torques and variable speeds. – High efficiency in a wide range of loads, because rolling elements are used in every place responsible for the transfer of torque. – Permissible load up to 500% of the rated torque. All above mention point lead into long-term and trouble-free operation, however the above features require high accuracy. The article described comparison of efficiency, vibration and noise obtained for 3 cycloidal gear modules: 1. Two-disc gear with single rollers for both discs (Chmurawa prototype [1]). 2. Three-disc gearbox with separate rollers for each disc (new idea) with gear components: output shaft with pins, housing with rollers (wheel with internal tooting), and input shaft, made with the manual lathe. 3. The same three-disc gearbox with output shaft with pins made with the CNC. Different levels of accuracy and thus corresponding vibration patterns were obtained.
